Abstract

Customer segmentation is the customer grouping based on similar shopping behavior or patterns. Inappropriate customer segmentation can have negative impacts, such as lost marketing opportunities, resource inefficiencies, loss of potential customers, and decreased performance, and business profits, especially in customer satisfaction. Therefore, this study aims to develop a customer segmentation model for digital marketing. This model is based on customer shopping patterns using the Recency-Frequency-Monetary (RFM) model and the Partitioning Around Medoids (PAM) method. The research data is historical customer purchase data consisting of 18,535 transactions and 541,909 transaction details from 4,339 customers for 3,665 product items over two years. The research variables focus on the model used: recency, frequency, and monetary. The five customer segments generating from this study are main, potential, general, minimum, and prospective customer. The internal validation results show that the minimum C-Index value is 0.1429 (close to zero), and the maximum Calinski-Harabasz Index value is 512.9553. It shows that the quality of customer segmentation results is good. In other words, the model can identify correlations between customer segments and shopping patterns and preferences. In this way, marketers can optimize services, adjust strategies, and offer the right products for each customer segment. Further research can be directed at product segmentation. Keywords: partitioning around medoids, digital marketing, shopping pattern, recency-frequency-monetary, customer segmentation

Abstract

The study examined how investing knowledge, minimum capital requirements, risk and returns, and technological advances affect PT Telkom Indonesia workers' investment interest. From December 2022 to April 2023, 120 workers received surveys. SEM with PLS was used to analyze the data. The findings show that of the four hypotheses, two hypotheses, namely return and risk, investment, and technological advances, were supported or accepted. However, two hypotheses, namely investment knowledge and minimal capital, did not affect investment interest. Investment knowledge and minimal capital did not significantly affect PT. Telkom employees. The evidence suggests that senior workers approaching retirement choose wealth preservation above difficult learning of complex capital market topics. The return and risk of investment and technological advances promote widespread adoption regardless of seniority. The study advised that the management should foster financial advice literacy early in junior recruits' careers. Strategically, HR divisions should emphasize core investing instruction while onboarding young arrivals early in their income accumulation. Corporate programs should be designed to adapt employee involvement in the market model to achieve optimal results in building an investment culture that can ultimately strengthen the company's reputation. Keywords: investment interest, investment knowledge, minimum capital, return & risk of investment, technological advancement

Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the global creative economy, including in Indonesia. Job losses and a decrease in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of this sector have prompted the government to integrate 30 million creative economy participants into the digital ecosystem by 2024. To achieve this goal, the enhancement of human resource quality (HRQ) is key. Grit, encompassing long-term passion and perseverance, has been identified as a factor influencing individual creativity.Purpose: This study examines the influence of grit on creativity through work engagement and emotional intelligence among workers in the creative economy. Design/methodology/approach: Data from 301 creative workers were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) methodFindings/Result: The research findings indicate that grit does not have a direct impact on creativity. Grit indirectly affects creativity through work engagement and emotional intelligence. Conclusion: Grit influences creativity indirectly via work engagement and emotional intelligence. Enhancing these factors is crucial for fostering creativity in individuals with high grit.Originality/value (State of the art): This study reveals the indirect effects of grit on creativity through work engagement and emotional intelligence among Indonesian creative workers. It challenges previous findings of a direct link, offering valuable insights for boosting creativity in the digital economy. Keywords: creative economy industry, creativity, emotional intelligence, grit, work engagement

Abstract

Background: Business actors must be free to determine product prices, which of course must be proportional to the quality of the products offered, this is important because businesses often ignore product quality when emphasizing price perceptionsPurpose: The goal of this research was to assess the impact of product quality, brand image, and price perceptions on consumer purchasing interest, as well as if pricing perceptions are an effective mediator.Design/methodology/approach: Structural Equation Modeling was then used to examine the data. Findings/Result: The data indicate that product quality and price perception both positively influence purchasing intention, although price perception does not. Price perception, according to research, influences the relationship between product quality and brand image on purchase intention. Conclusion: According to this study, smartphone product quality with appealing features, durability, and cheap prices increases consumer purchasing interest.Originality/value (State of the art): Many studies have examined consumers' buying interest, but few have examined price perception as a mediating factor, particularly when it comes to buying interest. The purpose of this study was to close this gap and develop a model that included price perception as a mediating variable.
