Abstract

The goal of this research is to discover the relations between Islamic religiosity toward academic fraud of student of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The research is quantitative research. Subjects of the research are 204 students of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The hypothesis in this research there is a relationship between islamic religiosity towards academic fraud. Data collection uses 2 measurements,namely 1) Islamic religiosity using Psychological Measure of Islamic Religiousness (PMIR) scale; 2) Academic fraud using self reporting cheating scale (SRCS). Prerequisite test using Goodness of Fit Overall showing that from 5 criterias show good model. Analysis results by using SEM from 8 religiosity dimensions, 7 dimensions not proven so that there is no significant relationship between islamic religiosity towards academic fraud. One dimension significantly proven is dimension of religious anxiety.

Abstract

The development of journal literacy with the theme of Islamic Psychology used a lot of typologies in the madhab of psychology, including Islamic Psychoanalysis, Islamic Psycho-behavioristic, Islamic Psychohumanistic, Islamic Psychocognitive, and Islamic Psychotranspersonal. This study aims to analyze the types of madhab integration in constructing journal literacy in the areas of Islamic psychology in Indonesia. Thus, the tendency could be known and be a guideline in the development of Islamic psychology later on. As library research that used content analysis techniques, this study found that although the journal writers had diverse typologies in the development of the Islamic Psychology madhab, the study showed that the Transpersonal madhab dominated the pattern of developing Islamic psychology in the journaling system in Indonesia.This tendency is due to the process of Islamic integration, the easiest psychology, and the lowest resistance level is integrating Psychotranspersonal with Islamic sciences. Psychotranspersonal themes are more easily developed through literary research and/or qualitative research, while other madhabs claim more to quantitative research.

Abstract

This research proves that religiosity (Islamic totalism) is a predictor of conservative ideology, as is the need for cognitive closure and right wing authoritarian which has been proven as a psychological variable that affects conservative ideology. The ideology of conservatism emphasizes on the tendency to preserve what is already established, resist change and maintain existing orders whether social, economic, legal, religious, political, or cultural (Jost, Glaser, Kruglanski, & Sulloway, 2003). This research utilized a quantitative survey method. Participants of this study were 528 college students from Jakarta with multiple regression analysis. The results obtained are 1) Islamic totalism, cognitive closure and right wing authoritarian are social and economic conservatism predictors; 2) only Islamic totalism is a religious conservatism predictor; 3) Islamic totalism has the greatest influence on social, economic and religious conservatives.

Abstract

Religious values need are very imporant for convicts at LPKA Class two Pekanbaru. Religion is an obvious influenced source in issuing the meaning of life to convicts. The research objective is to know how far the influence of gratefulness training in improving life meaning of convicts at LPKA class two Pekanbaru is.The researcher used experiment approaching pre and post-test control group designwith 23 control groupsand 23 treatment groups,anddata analysis independent sample t-test was obtained score t= 6,894 (p<0,01). Average score from treatment group are higher (23,057) than control group average (15,6). It shows that life meaning of convicts who get gratefulness training are higher than convicts who don’t join the training. With thus, it can be concluded that gratefulness training very influence significantly to the life meaning of convicts at LPKA class 2 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This study aims to reflect on the Prophet Muhammad saw’s personality as a professional teacher from a psychological perspective to be understood and implemented by education personnel in carrying out their profession, both at school and outside of school. This research is library research, a study whose data comes from books, scientific journals, regulations, and research results. The analysis used is descriptive analysis with a reflective thinking approach. The results showed that Prophet Muhammad saw was a professional plus teacher because he had mastered and implemented three-plus competencies, namely personal religious competence, social religious competence, and spiritual pedagogical competence. This completeness is transcendental values. If these three plus professional competencies are owned, internalized, and implemented by the teacher, then the arrangement will change student behavior for the better.

Abstract

This research aims to examine how Six Basic Energy Management (physical, instinctive, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and transcendental energy) in middle-aged individuals in Medan, then it is studied based on existing theories and research results. This research was conducted using quantitative descriptive methods. The population in this research were middle-aged adults, aged between 40-59 years old, Muslim and living in the Medan. Sampling is done by using purposive sampling technique. This research uses a Six Basic Energy management scale which is modified based on the Six Basic Energy Management concept from Suryanto (2008). The results showed that the respondents generally had six basic energy management which was in the quite constructive category, where the analysis of the management of each dimension of six basic energy (physical energy, instinctive, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and transcendental) in the research respondents was in a fairly constructive category. It means that the respondents are able to manage the Six Basic Energy they have so they can be profitable in their lives. It means that the respondents are able to manage their Six Basic Energy so they can be profitable in their lives.

Abstract

This research aims to observe how the process of inner peace that owned by the students with behavior of misbehavior in school through religious approach. The method used is an intrinsic case study that aims to understand the intrinsic characteristics of a particular case as well. Participants in this research are five students in one of Junior High School in Jakarta. The researcher conduct interview in depth and provide mentoring through religious approach, namely mentoring and coaching to reading and studying the Qur'an (Juz 30) for these students who are guided by teachers who have the ability to teach reading the Qur'an, followed by related meanings contained in the letter of Qur'an that are read (worship, morals and values of life) and sharing. The result is that students do not have a sense of comfort in learning and performing actions that interfere with the learning atmosphere. Through religious approach (mentoring and guidance), this meeting was held, where each individual sharing from heart to heart, studentsing look more open in expressing personal issues and students with behavior Delinquent need attention and handling is different. Through this religious approach, the student feeling comfortable valued and heard what perceived. They are feeling closer to God and have the awareness to change for the better; the existence of the school's communication with parents intensively to figure out the conditions of the students at school; the availability of school facilities that can make students comfortable in learning and positive activity appropriate talent and their interest.

Abstract

The life of students at Pesantren is usually filled with a dense series of activities, requiring high discipline, accompanied by demands to master knowledge and the implementation of religious values. Such activities are special features of Pesantren education which must be carried out by students every day so that such activities become challenges that must be faced by students. The foregoing sometimes makes students have difficulties in learning processes at Pesantren. The difficulties range from academic pressure to the process of making adjustments to Pesantren environment. Adversity quotient is considered an important concept in students’ mental development. Students’ success and failure in education can be determined by the extent of adversity quotient. Hence, this study aimed to examine the predictors of students’ adversity quotient formation, namely: academic stress, emotional intelligence, academic self-concept, and social supports. Respondents in this study were 268 students of grade VII, VIII, and IX at Pesantren Daar El-Qolam. Sampling deployed a non-probability sampling method using a purposive sampling technique. The validity of measuring instruments was tested by Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Data analysis used multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicated that academic stress, emotional intelligence, academic self-concept, and social supports had significant joint effects on adversity quotient as high as 41.0%, the rest was influenced by errors or other factors which were not examined in this study.

Abstract

There are two permanent lecturers at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, namely PNS (Civil Servant) and Non-PNS (Non-Civil Servant) lecturers, but for Non-PNS lecturers there are differences in treatment and legal uncertainty in that status. This study focuses on knowing the differences in psychological well-being between PNS and Non-PNS lecturers at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. This research is a comparative quantitative study. From 25% of the population the number of research subjects is 125 people (81 PNS lecturers and 44 Non-PNS lecturers). The measuring tool uses for the dimensions of psychological well-being is a modified scale and adapted from Ryff and Keyes (1995). The data analysis method used was the Independent Sample t-test using SPSS 24.0. The result of hypothesis test shows a significance value that states Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. In conclusion, there is a significant difference between the psychological well-being of PNS lecturers and non-PNS lecturers at UIN Raden Fatah. The mean variant of Non-PNS lecturers is also smaller, meaning that the psychological well-being of PNS lecturers is higher than Non-PNS lecturers.

Abstract

The individuals’ spiritual step is tightly enough with attitude and personality. The better of the spiritual, the better of the habit and personality are. This can be caused by defining the life in which there are running to always orientate on their process and purpose of life, it is achieving a better life. This article used library research from previous studies which explored the changing attitude and social awareness of human on spiritual value. This is aimed to explain the core of the changing human’s attitude with social awareness through the spiritual dimension. Then, to support the explanation, this article is completed with academic debate on the involvement spiritual dimension toward the changing human’s attitude and social awareness. In this article, it will be explained that the changing of human attitude and social awareness that will directly be guided to the better one and always coupled with the spiritualist step through the dimension.
