Abstract

The teacher's task in the independent learning curriculum was to prepare a learning implementation plan, compile material, prepare assessments, ensure changes in student behavior, and carry out evaluations. However, 52% of students visited by researchers received grades below standard. The article was to determine the obstacles and difficulties teachers that have in implementing the Independent Learning Curriculum. The researchers used mixed methods approach. The respondents in this research were 66 teachers. Data collection techniques used surveys with instruments that have been developed. This instrument was assessed on a Likert scale of 1 to 5 points. Data collection used observation, interviews with 10 teachers, and documents related to research indicators. Analysis data technique used SPSS Version 25.0. Then data from observations, interviews and documentation were collected, reduced, coded, diversified and conclusions drawn. As a result, it was found that the learning implementation plan was incomplete, the teacher did not prepare the material himself, and the assessment method was not yet structured. It was also found that teachers lacked mastery of the material. From the survey it was found that 62.87% of teachers' learning implementation plans did not comply with implementation, 68.53% of teachers lacked mastery of the material, there were 72.10%, there were 56.92% changes in behavior and 54.20% did not evaluate learning.

Abstract

Smartphones are a technological device that is very close to students nowadays, but there are still many negative views regarding their use. 21st century education demands a transformation in learning methods to accommodate developments in information technology in the learning process. One tool that is increasingly dominant in everyday life is the smartphone. This article discusses the integration of 21st century learning with the preference for using smartphones as a learning medium in the school environment. This research explores the impact of smartphone use on student learning, involving factors such as technology availability and student responses to smartphone-based learning. The research was conducted at Indraprasta University, PGRI Jakarta. The research method used was a descriptive-qualitative approach. Qualitative research aims to understand, explain, and describe phenomena or problems from a more in-depth perspective. This research aims to prepare students to maximize the use of smartphones as a support for 21st century learning. This research shows that using smartphones as a learning medium can improve the quality of learning and develop 21st-century skills such as critical, creative, collaborative, and communicative.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to analyze the concept of learning curriculum and to implement learning curriculum in Darul Darul Huda Kajang traditional Islamic boarding school by focusing on the basic principle of Islamic scientific values that are being the foundation of Islamic boarding school. The study used a qualitative approach of case study type. Furthermore, the object of the study was the curriculum of Darul Darul Huda Kajang traditional Islamic boarding school. The data collection techniques used observation, interviews and analysis of literature documents. Moreover, the informants were determined based on the hierarchy of Islamic boarding school structure. The results of the study showed that the main learning objective was to build student’s pious character, Islamic knowledge mastery, and knowledge implementation in daily life. Continuously, the learning materials focused on yellow books and several references books including journals, digital books, and learning methods involving sorogan method, bandongan, demonstration method/worship practice, deliberation method of bahtsul masa’il and muhafazhah or memorization method. Then, the assessment emphasized on qualitative aspects such as the ability to understand and explain Islamic teachings and their application in daily life. This research has significant relevance in facing the changing paradigm of education in the digital era. Along with the emergence of the Society 5.0 era, Islamic boarding schools must not only be the guardians of scientific traditions but also be pioneers in combining tradition with technology. The implication of the results of this study is the importance of the openness of boarding schools to new things that become demands and the need for resources that are able to face the times but still preserve the values of local wisdom and traditional boarding school culture.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the influence of self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, and learning motivation on the academic performance of students in the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FKIP) at the Universitas Jambi. The study utilized a quantitative approach and the data collection technique involved distributing and collecting questionnaires (surveys) through Google Forms. The respondents selected for this study were students from FKIP at the Universitas Jambi, with a sample size of 218 respondent from total population of 8,968. The data analysis technique used Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to develop a model that describes the relationships between the variables. The results of indicated that, in the first hypothesis, self-efficacy has a P-value of 0.007, indicating a significant influence on academic performance. In the second hypothesis, emotional intelligence has a P-value of 0.008, also showing a significant influence on academic performance. Finally, in the third hypothesis, learning motivation has a P-value of 0.008, suggesting a significant influence on academic performance. Therefore, this research concluded that self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, and learning motivation have a positive and significant impact on students' academic performance. Based on these findings, this research contributed to the understanding that increasing self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, and learning motivation can significantly improve students' academic achievement. Therefore, interventions designed to improve these aspects can be an effective strategy for improving academic performance among students at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Universitas Jambi.

Abstract

Arabic plays an important role in the history of education in Indonesia and must remain as focus of attention. Arabic language learning at MTs under the Ministry of Religious Affairs needs to be well-integrated into the existing curriculum, so that it is relevant to the values promoted by the current vision of Indonesian Education, especially the Pancasila Student Profile which focuses on building the character of students. However, in practice, Arabic language teaching materials at MTs are not fully connected to these values.  For this reason, efforts are needed to test the feasibility of one of the teaching materials. In this context, the researcher chose the teaching material "al-Muthalaah" by Abu Abdurrohman to test its feasibility for the Pancasila Student Profile. Exploratory descriptives will be used in this feasibility test with the Miles and Huberman model data analysis technique. The validation test was carried out by two experts, including a material expert and a media expert. The validation test results show that al-Muthalaah's teaching materials received an average score of 87.75% and were categorized as extremely valid by material experts. The aspect of the relevance of teaching materials to the Pancasila Student Profile also received a high score with 95%. However, media experts gave an average score of 80% with the category being sufficiently valid and requiring slight revision. This shows that Al-Muthala'ah teaching materials were declared feasible and relevant to be applied in Arabic language learning at MTs. So that it can become practical material for aligning ourselves with the vision promoted by the government and also helps students understand and internalize the values that support their interactions with the surrounding environment.

Abstract

The low interest in student learning makes chemistry challenging to understand and affects expected student learning results. This research aims to develop an e-module based on a digital flipbook maker loaded with Chemo-Entrepreneurship (CEP) chemical bond material. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) type using a 4D development model. Product quality is evaluated using student responses and product quality assessment sheets. The results of the e-module assessment by material experts get an ideal percentage of 91.4% with a very good category, media experts 92% with a very good category, reviewers 91.3% with a very good category, and a positive response from students with a percentage of 93.3%. In light of the assessment results, the e-module developed can be utilized as another learning medium on chemical bond material to increase student learning interest. The results of this study imply that it can provide references for education in choosing learning media and strategies for delivering learning materials that are effective in increasing student interest. Furthermore, this can be used as a basis for further development to produce effective media and learning approaches.

Abstract

Creative thinking were considered skills usually based on natural talent. It means that only those who were talented could become creative people. The reality, the students can create new ideas quickly and diversely. This article aimed to determine the dominant indicators of creative thinking between fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The subjects were 29 high school students in one class, and the learning process aimed to increase creativity. Measure creativity by using subjective questions, such as as as many as five questions. The learning outcome score was the final grade of the semester. Data analysis used multiple linear regression. The results showed that the flexibility indicator has a β value most distant from zero (0) (β = 4,030). The flexibility indicator was the most dominant and has the most significant influence compared to other indicators. Flexibility helped students deal with these obstacles by finding alternatives or changing strategies. Identifying major creative thinking indicators was a foundation for building unique evaluation methodologies. The contribution for methodologies can better assess students' creative ability and grasp of geographical ideas, resulting in a more comprehensive evaluation of student performance.

Abstract

Increasing the competence of graduates is a significant problem in the evaluation of study programs related to the absorption of graduates in the world of work. This problem can be answered by implementing an innovative internship program and collaborating with various partners. The stipulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 of 2020 concerning National Higher Education Standards, which regulates apprenticeship as a form of learning outside the classroom, aims to provide practical experience to students and reduce the low absorption of graduates in the world of business and industry. This research examines the evaluation of the certified apprenticeship program in the 2019 Public Administration Undergraduate Study Program, which is analyzed using evaluation theory (Dunn), which includes six indicators: effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, alignment, responsiveness, and accuracy. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The results showed that things need to be improved, especially in terms of efficiency. This research contributes to the importance of commitment and attention to study programs in collaborating with stakeholders to improve the quality of graduates through internship programs. Suggestions for this research are the need to increase collaboration with external parties related to apprenticeship activities to expand the apprentice network. In addition, it is necessary to increase street vendor guidance activities between supervisors and street vendor students, which are carried out intensively.

Abstract

Didactically oriented research that considers the relationship between teachers, students and materials was vital. This research aimed to obtain an overview of the didactical situation in the learning process of whole number concepts as a basis for designing appropriate learning designs based on local culture for junior high school students in North Central Timor. The research method followed the stages of Didactical Design Research (DDR). The research instruments were observation sheets, interview guidelines, and documentation. Data analysis included prospective analysis, observation data, and post-observation data. The results revealed that student preparedness for learning posed a barrier to the otherwise smooth operation of instructor, student, and material interactions. Learning the concept of mixed operations of whole numbers was successful in terms of learning objectives achieved and learning that took place according to plan. The research concluded that the existence of the Topaze Effect and the Aging of Teaching Situations when learning whole number operations in the classroom. Didactical situated research contributes to define the scope and substance of didactics, focusing on the shared values and knowledge that underpin effective numbers instruction. Abstract

This research introduced a new method by integrating STEAM-based project learning to effectively enhance students' creative and collaborative thinking skills, which has not been widely explored in the educational context. The subjects were 14 students consisting of 8 male students and 6 female fifth grade students who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. The type of research used Classroom Action Research. Data collection was carried out by interviews, observations and tests. The data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative. The study results showed that The average creative thinking skill of students was increase; the average collaborative thinking skill of students was increase; and learning outcomes also increased. The the result showed that STEAM integrated project-based learning can improve creative and collaborative thinking skills as well as students' social science learning outcomes. The research also contributed by showing that the implementation of STEAM-integrated project-based learning effectively enhances students' creative and collaborative thinking skills, providing a robust framework for educators to foster innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities in the classroom, ultimately preparing students for complex real-world challenges.
