Abstract

Kebakaran hutan dan lahan (karhutla) merupakan bencana tahunan dengan dampak multidimensional di Indonesia, khususnya di Provinsi Kalimantan Barat yang memiliki hutan dan lahan gambut yang luas dan rentan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk memanfaatkan kapabilitas Google Earth Engine (GEE) dalam memproses data satelit multi-temporal guna memetakan distribusi dan dinamika kekeringan vegetasi sebagai indikator kunci kerentanan kebakaran dengan melalui identifikasi dan memetakan wilayah hotspot (titik api) pada hutan dan lahan gambut di Kalimantan Barat tahun 2025, memetakan wilayah distribusi hotspot (titik api) pada hutan dan lahan gambut di Kalimantan Barat tahun 2025, dan memetakan kelas NDDI (Normalized Difference Drought Index) pada hutan dan lahan gambut di Kalimantan Barat tahun 2025. Metode yang digunakan memanfaatkan platform GEE untuk pemrosesan data satelit multi-temporal, termasuk data hotspot (titik api) dari MODIS/FIRMS dan citra Sentinel-2 untuk perhitungan NDDI. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi sebaran hotspot dengan tingkat kepercayaan bervariasi, mulai dari 61% hingga 99,93%, yang terkonsentrasi pada hutan dan lahan gambut. Analisis NDDI menunjukkan nilai hingga 0,46, yang mengindikasikan kondisi kekeringan berat pada vegetasi. Terdapat korelasi yang kuat antara nilai NDDI tinggi dan probabilitas hotspot yang mencapai 90,96%, mengonfirmasi hutan dan lahan gambut mengalami dehidrasi merupakan zona rawan kebakaran tertinggi. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi data penginderaan jauh melalui GEE dan penerapan NDDI efektif untuk memetakan kerentanan kebakaran secara spasial dan temporal. Temuan ini memberikan dasar kuat bagi pengembangan sistem peringatan dini yang akurat dan responsif, sehingga mendukung upaya pencegahan dan mitigasi karhutla yang lebih efektif di masa mendatang untuk meminimalkan dampak lingkungan, sosial, dan ekonomi.

Abstract

Ketersediaan air bersih merupakan masalah krusial yang dihadapi banyak rumah tangga, terutama di daerah yang sulit dijangkau oleh jaringan penyediaan air bersih. Masalah ini mempengaruhi kesehatan dan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan teknologi filtrasi air sederhana yang dapat diterapkan di rumah tangga. Teknologi ini menggunakan bahan alami seperti pasir, arang, dan batu kerikil untuk menyaring kotoran dan kontaminan dari air. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara daring melalui aplikasi Zoom pada tanggal 11 Juni 2024 dengan partisipasi 29 orang dari berbagai kalangan. Metode kegiatan meliputi persiapan dan perencanaan, penyusunan materi dan modul pelatihan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, serta evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam menerapkan teknologi filtrasi air sederhana. Selain itu, kesadaran peserta tentang pentingnya kualitas air bersih juga meningkat, dan terbentuk komunitas daring untuk berbagi pengalaman dan informasi. Kesimpulannya, teknologi filtrasi air sederhana merupakan solusi praktis dan terjangkau untuk meningkatkan kualitas air rumah tangga. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kesehatan dan kualitas hidup masyarakat.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of the national economy that continues to show significant growth, especially among the younger generation. The high entrepreneurial spirit encourages many generations to start businesses with creative ideas that are relevant to the times. However, behind the growth of MSMEs, there are still many challenges that must be faced by business actors. One of the main challenges is the lack of ability to manage and analyze data systematically. This community service activity aims to improve the digital literacy and data analysis skills of MSME players, especially the younger generation who are starting a business by utilizing SPSS as an analysis tool. Through practice-based training conducted online through Zoom Meeting involving 40 participants from the younger generation who are starting a business on February 15, 2025. The results of this service showed that participants not only gained a theoretical understanding of the importance of data analysis in making business decisions, but also basic technical skills in operating SPSS. This shows that digital practice-based training has a significant impact in improving their readiness to apply SPSS in managing their business and the competitiveness of MSMEs. Thus, this activity is not only an educational event, but also triggers awareness of the importance of a data-driven approach in dealing with market dynamics.

Abstract

This study analyzes the variation of infiltration rates across different land-use types in the upper watershed of the Jompi River Basin, Muna Regency, as an effort to understand hydrological responses to land-use change. Forest ecosystems play a crucial role in regulating water balance through enhanced soil porosity and organic matter accumulation, whereas land conversion often reduces infiltration capacity and increases surface runoff. Using a quantitative cross-sectional design, field measurements were conducted from August to October 2023 on four dominant land-use categories forest, agriculture, plantation, and settlement. Infiltration was measured using a double ring infiltrometer, while soil physical properties were analyzed through laboratory testing. The results indicate substantial variation in infiltration rates: plantations recorded the highest average value at 24.23 cm/hour, followed by secondary forest at 22.38 cm/hour, settlements at 19.23 cm/hour, and agricultural land at 16.59 cm/hour. These differences are strongly influenced by soil texture, organic matter, and porosity conditions. The findings demonstrate that land-use changes significantly alter soil hydrological behavior, highlighting the need for sustainable watershed management strategies. Further research is recommended to incorporate additional soil parameters such as permeability and to employ alternative infiltration models and rainfall simulators for improved measurement accuracy

Abstract

Sanitation issues are critical and need to be addressed by all parties, as they are closely linked to public health. Sanitation refers to efforts aimed at preventing disease by eliminating or controlling environmental factors that contribute to disease transmission. One of the public service facilities that must organize proper sanitation is the public market. This study aims to evaluate the environmental sanitation of Sentral Laino Market in Raha City. The research utilizes a quantitative descriptive analysis method to assess various parameters of the market’s sanitation. A total of 14 parameters were measured based on the Regulation of the Indonesian Minister of Health No. 17 of 2020. The parameters and their respective values are as follows: Market Building (75%), Stall Building (63%), Waste Disposal (60%), Sewage and Drainage (57%), Toilets (88%), Clean Water (83%), Food and Foodstuff Sales Places (57%), Control of Disease Transmitting Animals (33%), Market Security (50%), Lighting, Temperature and Humidity (100%), Hand Washing Places (50%), Parking Places (75%), Traders/Employees (40%), and Visitors/Buyers (25%). Among the 14 components assessed, 5 components met the required standards, while 9 components did not meet the eligibility criteria. The overall category value, based on the “yes” answers from all the components, totaled 56 points (60%). According to the Regulation of the Indonesian Minister of Health No. 17 of 2020 concerning Healthy Markets, a market is considered eligible if the total score reaches ≥70%. Therefore, the Sentral Laino Market does not meet the standards for a healthy market. This study highlights the need for significant improvements in various aspects of the market’s sanitation to ensure public health and safety. It is crucial for local authorities and stakeholders to address these sanitation challenges to create a healthier environment for both traders and consumers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana SDN 78 Kendari menerapkan standar sekolah sehat dan sekolah aman dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang optimal bagi siswa. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap 39 indikator sekolah sehat dan 18 indikator sekolah aman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SDN 78 Kendari secara umum telah menerapkan standar sekolah sehat dengan baik, dimana 35 dari 39 indikator telah memenuhi syarat. Fasilitas fisik seperti bangunan, sanitasi, pengelolaan sampah, dan drainase sudah memadai, begitu pula dengan penerapan PHBS di kalangan siswa. Namun masih ditemukan beberapa kekurangan seperti tidak adanya pegangan tangga yang memenuhi syarat, selokan yang belum dilengkapi jaring penutup, pelaksanaan fogging yang tidak rutin, serta kantin yang belum memiliki wastafel. Sementara itu, dari aspek sekolah aman, 15 dari 18 indikator sudah terpenuhi dengan baik. Lingkungan sekolah terbukti bebas dari ancaman sosial seperti rokok, narkoba, kekerasan, dan bullying. Namun, masih ada tantangan terkait keamanan dari pencurian, ketiadaan APAR, dan belum terintegrasi kurikulum pendidikan kebencanaan. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi penting bagi pihak sekolah untuk terus melakukan perbaikan pada aspek-aspek yang masih kurang guna mewujudkan lingkungan belajar yang sehat, aman, dan kondusif bagi perkembangan optimal peserta didik.

Abstract

Background: Rhodamine B is a bright red synthetic dye that is toxic and carcinogenic, and therefore its use in food is prohibited by the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM). However, illegal use of this substance is still found, especially in foods sold freely such as those from street vendors. Objective: This research aims to analyze the presence of Rhodamin B content in tomato sauce used by street vendors on Haluoleo Street, Kambu Village, Kendari City, and relate it to the characteristics of vulnerable consumers. Methods: This research uses a quantitative descriptive design with laboratory tests using test kits. The samples in this study consist of five types of ketchup obtained from five different street vendors along Jl. Haluoleo, Kambu, City of Kendari. Results: The test results show that all negative samples contain Rhodamine B, which indicates that the food sauces sold at that location are relatively safe for consumption. From the respondents' perspective, the majority belong to the young age group (18–21 years) with varying weight distribution, and most are men who claim to regularly consume food from street vendors. Although the test results indicate no presence of Rhodamine B, the risk of exposure to hazardous substances still exists if monitoring and consumer education are not improved. Conclusion: Nickel mining in North Konawe Regency has brought positive economic impacts, such as increased production and employment opportunities. However, it has also led to river pollution due to industrial waste containing heavy metals, which affects water quality and public health. Therefore, proper environmental management and the preparation of a comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment are essential to minimize negative impacts and support the sustainability of mining activities.

Abstract

Climate change and the growing dependence on fossil fuels have intensified the challenge of aligning Indonesia’s industrial development with its emission reduction commitments. This study analyzes the role of fiscal policy in controlling CO₂ emissions in Indonesia’s industrial sector during the period 2010–2023, with a particular focus on three fiscal instruments: carbon taxation, fossil fuel subsidies, and government expenditure on the energy and environmental sectors. Using a descriptive-analytical approach based on secondary time-series data from national greenhouse gas inventories, state budget documents, government reports, and international energy publications, this study compares the dynamics of industrial CO₂ emissions with the development of fiscal policy instruments. The findings show that industrial CO₂ emissions generally increased throughout the observation period, with a temporary decline during the COVID-19 pandemic and a sharp rebound in 2022–2023. This increase was closely associated with the expansion of energy-intensive industries and the continued reliance on coal-based energy, particularly in manufacturing and mineral processing activities. Fiscal policy has not yet provided a coherent emission-control signal. Carbon tax implementation remained limited and has not directly affected the manufacturing sector, while fossil fuel subsidies continued to create price distortions that weakened incentives for energy efficiency and renewable energy adoption. At the same time, government spending on environmental and renewable energy programs remained relatively small compared with the scale of fossil fuel subsidies. This study concludes that Indonesia’s fiscal policy still operates in two opposing directions: supporting emission reduction through carbon pricing and green expenditure, while simultaneously sustaining carbon-intensive industrial activity through energy subsidies. Strengthening fiscal coherence is therefore essential to align industrial growth with Indonesia’s low-carbon transition agenda.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa Indonesia menjadi persoalan yang tidak dapat diabaikan, terlebih ketika dikaitkan dengan materi probabilitas yang secara konseptual menuntut kemampuan penalaran, koneksi matematis, dan pengambilan keputusan secara logis. Kajian yang secara sistematis memetakan hubungan antara pembelajaran probabilitas dan kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa masih sangat terbatas, sehingga belum terbentuk gambaran yang menyeluruh mengenai kontribusi materi tersebut terhadap pengembangan kemampuan berpikir matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran pembelajaran probabilitas dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa melalui sintesis berbagai hasil penelitian yang relevan. Metode yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur sistematis dengan penelusuran artikel melalui basis data Google Scholar, Garuda, dan ScienceDirect, dibatasi pada rentang tahun dua ribu delapan belas hingga dua ribu dua puluh empat. Dari proses seleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan, diperoleh sepuluh artikel ilmiah sebagai sumber data utama yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik sintesis naratif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep probabilitas memiliki hubungan yang erat dan bersifat resiprokal dengan kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa. Kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa bersifat sistemik dan bersumber dari lemahnya pemahaman konseptual, bukan sekadar kelemahan prosedural. Pembelajaran berbasis konteks nyata, pemanfaatan teknologi, serta bahan ajar yang terstruktur terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sekaligus memperkuat kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran probabilitas perlu diposisikan sebagai wahana strategis dalam membangun kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa secara menyeluruh.
