Abstract

This research aims to increase students' learning motivation using the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model by optimizing technology through video media. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were 30 students in class XI 1 of SMA Negeri 1 Kayangan. This explains that optimizing the use of video media technology in learning can increase students' learning motivation as seen from the implementation of learning as seen from the results of observations and evaluations in cycle II. Based on the evaluation results of students who achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), namely before implementing the PjBL learning model, there were 12 students out of the total number of students with an average percentage of 73.83%. Meanwhile, after implementing the PjBL learning model, there was an increase reaching an average percentage of 84.33%, consisting of 26 students who had reached the KKM.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di SMPN 26 Surabaya, dengan fokus pada integrasinya ke dalam kegiatan sekolah dan kurikulum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bentuk-bentuk pendidikan karakter, mengidentifikasi hambatan, dan mengusulkan solusi untuk meningkatkan efektivitasnya. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode kualitatif, termasuk pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, yang melibatkan informan utama seperti kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa dari kelas 7 hingga 9. Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa pendidikan karakter tertanam dalam berbagai kegiatan sekolah, seperti doa komunal, upacara bendera, dan program ekstrakurikuler, mempromosikan nilai-nilai seperti disiplin, rasa hormat, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Namun, tantangan muncul dari kedua faktor internal, seperti ketidakstabilan emosional siswa, dan pengaruh eksternal, seperti globalisasi dan lingkungan teman sebaya yang negatif . Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penelitian ini menyarankan memberikan bimbingan, membina komunikasi yang baik antara orang tua dan sekolah, dan memastikan guru memodelkan perilaku positif. Pada akhirnya, penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan karakter yang efektif di SMPN 26 Surabaya membutuhkan pendekatan holistik yang menggabungkan nilai-nilai moral ke dalam semua aspek kehidupan sekolah, sehingga membentuk karakter dan perilaku siswa secara positif.

Abstract

Community service in Glagah Village, Banyuwangi, focuses on using digital platforms to market MSME products. By implementing digital marketing, MSMEs can expand market reach and increase income. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) method was used in community service in this research, starting with the inculturation stage then continuing with Mapping, making flow diagrams to hope trees and problem trees. The programs implemented include outreach, digital marketing training, content creation, and assistance in using e-commerce platforms. The results show increased product visibility online and the development of more professional branding. This not only increases the efficiency of MSME businesses but also strengthens the local economy and maintains local wisdom in processing traditional products. In the current era of globalization of the digital economy, this step is vital to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs and ensure their sustainability in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

Glagah Village has a unique culture and is carried out every year in the month of Suroh, namely a village clean activity called Gelar Songo. One of the series in the Songo Title event is Jenang Suro. Jenang Suro with a distinctive white color with ingredients such as sticky rice, coconut, coconut milk, brown sugar, pandan leaves filled with nuts, shredded chicken and sliced eggs. Students have an important role in preserving and introducing the Jenang Suro tradition in Glagah Village, one of which is through social media such as uploading videos and photos on Instagram. This research aims to see the participation of KKN 127 students in the Songo Title series, namely Jenang Suro, in introducing and preserving traditional events in Glagah Village. The research methods used were interviews, observation and documentation. The participation of KKN 127 students in preserving culinary culture through social media is very effective in increasing awareness and appreciation of traditional culinary. competitive market.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai kebersihan lingkungan di Wilayah Adat Osing Dukuh Kopen Kidul, Desa Glagah, Banyuwangi. Melalui observasi dan wawancara, ditemukan bahwa masyarakat masih memiliki kebiasaan membuang sampah sembarangan, terutama di sungai. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa kerja bakti dan pemasangan plang slogan berbahasa Osing yang mengkampanyekan kebersihan lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Pemasangan slogan yang mudah dipahami dan relevan dengan budaya setempat menjadi alat yang efektif untuk mengubah perilaku masyarakat. Selain itu, kerja bakti juga memperkuat kebersamaan dan tanggung jawab masyarakat dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan sekitar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan yang menggabungkan edukasi, partisipasi masyarakat, dan kearifan lokal dapat menjadi solusi yang efektif dalam mengatasi permasalahan kebersihan lingkungan di masyarakat pedesaan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the inclusive and creative approach in Islamic education for Generation Z based on the book Islam for Gen-Z by Hatim Gazali. The method used is qualitative research with a content analysis approach and literature review. This study found that Generation Z, who live in the digital and diversity era, understand religious teachings better through an open and interactive approach. Inclusive education allows students to be actively involved, respect differences in views, and appreciate Islamic values such as justice, tolerance, and equality. In addition, the use of digital technology, such as social media, supports student engagement and makes learning more relevant. The results of the study indicate that the inclusive approach is effective in deepening religious understanding in Generation Z, despite challenges, such as conservative resistance and the need to improve educator skills

Abstract

One of the plants that can be used as traditional medicine is binahong leaf (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steen). Bioactive subtances from the Binahong plant can help the healing process of disease, research has been carried out on the antibacterial and antifungal activity pf binahong leaf ekstrack (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steen). This research is an experimental laboratory aimed at testing the potential antibacterial and antifungal activity of the leaf ekstract of binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steen) againts the growth of the bacteria bacillus subtillis s[pan the fungi aspergillus niger. Binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steen) Made in the from of a thick ekstrack then carried out phytochemical screening, antibacterial active test using Bacillus Subtillis and shigella sp bacteria also tested for antifungal activity using aspergillus niger fungus. The results showed that the leaf extract of binahong (Anredera cordifola(Ten) Steenins) had antibacterial activity againt bacillus subtillis and shigella sp bacteria at concentrations of 25%, 50%, and 75% by disc method and was in the medium sterong category. And binahong leaf extrac (Anredera cordifolia (Ten) Steen) has antifungal activity againts aspergillus niger at concentrations of 24%, 50%, and 75% by disc method and is in the medium category.

Abstract

To produce high-quality graduates from Vocational High Schools (SMK), Education must develop mastery of hard skills and development of soft skills, including independent learning skills. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the technological literacy of students at SMKN 1 Duduksampeyan, particularly in utilizing Large Language Models (LLM) such as ChatGPT and Gemini.. The methods used in this program include lectures and practice sessions. The lecture sessions are designed to provide an understanding of the basic concepts, history, and applications of LLM in various sectors, particularly accounting. The practice sessions involve hands-on training in using LLM, where students are taught effective prompting techniques to complete school assignments and improve their analytical skills. Based on the pre-test questionnaire results, nearly 20% of students had never used LLM, while 5% considered this technology less beneficial. The main challenges faced were limited internet access and a lack of understanding of how to use the technology. This program is expected to equip students with adaptive skills and support the integration of LLM in vocational education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the Maghrib Isya Mengaji (MIM) program as an innovation in mosque-based Quranic learning at At-Taqwa Mosque, Simorejo, Surabaya. The program is designed to improve the quality of Quranic recitation among the community, particularly the elderly, using the talaqqi method, which involves direct guidance from professional instructors. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The informants include mosque management (takmir) and congregants actively participating in the program. The findings reveal that the MIM program has successfully improved participants' Quranic recitation skills in terms of fluency and the application of tajweed rules. Additionally, the program has had a positive spiritual impact, such as increasing participants’ connection to the Quran, fostering motivation for more frequent Quranic recitation, and strengthening social relationships between congregants and the mosque. Supporting factors for the program's success include full support from the mosque management, adequate facilities, and the enthusiasm of the congregants. However, challenges remain, such as participants' reluctance to learn due to embarrassment, limited time, and the occasional absence of competent instructors. In conclusion, the MIM program is effective in facilitating inclusive and sustainable mosque-based Quranic learning, providing a solution for busy individuals to continue improving their Quranic literacy. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for other mosques to implement similar programs, reinforcing the mosque's role as a center for education and Islamic civilization. Abstract

This study aims to explore the dynamics of Islamic studies from a Western perspective, through the views of Indonesian alumni who have studied at McGill University, Canada. Using a qualitative approach and case study design, this research explores how cross-cultural academic experiences can shape a more critical, contextual, and interdisciplinary understanding of Islam. The main focus of this study is the paradigm shift in Islamic studies in the West, which was initially dominated by orientalism, towards a more open and dialogical scientific approach. Based on in-depth interviews with three McGill alumni who are actively involved in academics and religious activities in Indonesia, the findings suggest that McGill University plays a significant role in shaping reflective Islamic thought, adaptive to social realities, and supporting moderate values such as democracy, human rights, and pluralism. The implications of these findings are crucial for the development of Islamic studies in Indonesia, offering an approach that is more inclusive and relevant to Indonesia's social and cultural dynamics
