Abstract

Hypertension is a serious health problem that can affect the productivity and welfare of workers in various sectors, including the construction industry. Hypertension experienced by construction workers is caused by smoking habits, excessive coffee consumption and a family history of hypertension. This study aims to determine the effect of poster media education about hypertension on the knowledge of contractor workers in the East Telukjambe Health Center work area. This research uses quantitative methods in the form of analytical research with a cross-sectional study design with a sample size of 30 people using random sampling techniques. Hypertension data collection uses a blood pressure monitor and data collection instruments for age, weight, height, income, blood pressure, smoking habits, coffee consumption. As a result of the research, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the influence of providing educational media about hypertension on the knowledge of contractor workers in the East Telukjambe Community Health Center work area as evidenced by the results of statistical tests using the chi square test, which shows a p-value of 0.00 < 0.05, which means there is an influence between providing education using posters with knowledge related to hypertension.

Abstract

Anemia in pregnancy is a condition of pregnant women with significant hemoglobin levels below 12 grams. Anemia of pregnancy can result in various complications that contribute to increased maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of providing nutritional counseling using booklet media on knowledge and attitudes about stress factors in pregnant women. The sample was anemic pregnant women in the work area of the Pedes Karawang Community Health Center in Payungsari Village and Karangjaya Village, totaling 30 respondents. The intervention is in the form of nutrition education using counseling methods. Knowledge and attitudes were measured using a questionnaire and data analysis using the Wilcoxon Test. The statistical results show that there are significant results between knowledge and attitudes using booklet media with a p.value of 000. The conclusion of this research is that there is an effect of providing nutritional counseling using booklet media on knowledge and attitudes about stress factors in pregnant women.

Abstract

Background: Tea flavonoids have been shown to reduce Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) risks, and tea consumption might help reduce the problem in the community. Meanwhile, tea consumption among Indonesian people is still rare and in small quantities.Objectives: This research aimed to evaluate the effect of a WhatsApp-based education intervention, "HaH (Heart at Home)," a program that aims to increase KAP (Knowledge, Attitude, Practice) to prevent CVD by practicing a healthy lifestyle and encouraging tea consumption.Methods: Subjects were women/men who are married, members of IHF (Indonesia Heart Foundation), aged 25-50 years old, own and used a smartphone in their daily life. A total of 80 adults was participated in this study. The study design was pre-post intervention conducted online using WhatsApp for 21 days. The intervention included videos/ picture posts and online discussion through WhatsApp. Wilcoxon and McNemmar tests were used to examine the differences in subjects' KAP before and after the intervention.Results: Most subjects were women (96.3%) aged 25-40 years (78.8%) and housewives (67.5%). The knowledge score increased by about 17.5% (p<0.05). More than 10% of subjects increased their knowledge of CVD risk. Almost all subjects already had a positive attitude at baseline (94%) and was slightly increased to 97.0% (p<0.05). After the intervention, positive health practices such as exercise, consuming vegetables, relaxation, and sleep were increased. In contrast, harmful practices such as smoking, stress symptoms, and consuming high-cholesterol food were decreased.Conclusions: The present study showed that an online program effectively increases the KAP of subjects, although this can be maximized by having more interaction with subjects.

Abstract

Seorang anak kecil mengalami stunting, mereka lebih pendek dari teman sekelasnya. Stunting masih menjadi masalah kesehatan di Indonesia, di mana hal ini tersebar luas. Pemberian makanan bergizi yang tidak memadai dalam jangka panjang yang menyebabkan keterlambatan perkembangan adalah salah satu faktor penyebabnya. Hal ini menjadi latar belakang perlunya inisiatif penyuluhan tentang stunting. Selain memberikan informasi tentang bagaimana memanfaatkan leaflet untuk mengurangi stunting, artikel ini akan mengevaluasi bagaimana leaflet mempengaruhi sikap dan kesadaran ibu tentang stunting. Penelitian eksperimental yang menggunakan desain kelompok pre- dan post-test dan pengambilan sampel secara purposif ini melibatkan dua puluh ibu sebagai subjek. Kuesioner terdiri dari sepuluh pertanyaan. Ceramah dan tanya jawab adalah dua metode yang digunakan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan sikap ibu meningkat baik sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan, dengan nilai p-value sebesar 0,000. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sikap dan kesadaran ibu tentang stunting sangat ditingkatkan dengan adanya media leaflet. Salah satu media yang populer untuk mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pencegahan stunting adalah leaflet.

Abstract

Anak-anak sekolah bertanggung jawab atas peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia di masa depan, salah satu hal yang harus diperhatikan adalah perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat dalam struktur sekolah. Anak-anak harus dididik untuk menjalani gaya hidup yang bersih dan sehat sejak kecil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki bagaimana status gizi siswa sekolah dasar kelas IV di SDN Telukjambe II berkorelasi dengan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS). Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan analitik observasional cross-sectional. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa dan siswi kelas IV berjumlah 31 siswa. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji Spearman sebagai analisis statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas siswa kelas IV SDN Telukjambe II memiliki status gizi baik dengan perilaku hidup bersih sehat termasuk ke dalam kategori baik. Namun, hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara status gizi siswa kelas IV SDN Telukjambe II dengan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan nilai p-value sebesar 0,411. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat hubungan antara Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) dengan Status Gizi siswa kelas IV SDN Telukjambe II.

Abstract

Football is a type of sport that is popular among various ages and levels of society. It is very important to pay attention to food management for football athletes, so it is necessary to plan and pay attention to the timing of administration according to the stages of the period, both before, during, and after the match. Knowledge about nutrition is not only crucial for nutritionists but is also important for the wider community, including athletes. This research aims to determine the effect of providing education on athletes' knowledge regarding eating arrangements before competing. The research design used was a quasi-experimental one-group pre and post-test. The population of this study was football athletes at SSB Kancil Mas Karawang, and the total sample was 23 people who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. The research instruments used consisted of a questionnaire, a rotating wheel, a stature meter, and scales. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with the Wilcoxon statistical test type. The research results show that there is a significant influence of nutrition education on knowledge regarding eating arrangements for SSB Kancilmas Karawang athletes (p < 0.05).

Abstract

Dalam bidang olahraga, khususnya sepak bola, pemahaman atlet mengenai gizi dan hidrasi berperan penting dalam menentukan performa dan kesehatan mereka. Kekurangan cairan atau dehidrasi dapat berdampak negatif pada berbagai aspek kinerja atlet, termasuk kemampuan kognitif dan pembuatan keputusan selama pertandingan. Studi ini dirancang untuk menilai efektivitas program edukasi gizi dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan atlet muda di SSB Kancil Mas Karawang perihal pentingnya hidrasi yang baik. Penelitian menerapkan metode pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur perubahan pengetahuan dan tingkat kesadaran atlet setelah mengikuti sesi edukasi. Hasil dari intervensi tersebut menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman mereka tentang gizi olahraga, khususnya terhadap aspek hidrasi, dengan peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 26,6 poin antara skor pre-test dan post-test. Peningkatan ini juga terlihat dalam implementasi praktik hidrasi dalam aktivitas olahraga sehari-hari mereka. Kesimpulannya, program edukasi yang dirancang dengan baik dapat menjadi pendekatan dalam menginformasikan atlet muda mengenai pemenuhan hidrasi yang tepat untuk mendukung peningkatan performa atletik. Diharapkan selanjutnya untuk terus mengembangkan edukasi ini dengan melibatkan lebih banyak atlet, serta menilai dampaknya dalam jangka panjang untuk melihat efektivitasnya pada performa olahraga.

Abstract

Pengaturan makan yang baik berperan penting dalam meningkatkan performa atlet remaja, mendukung stamina, konsentrasi, dan pemulihan tubuh. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh pemberian edukasi gizi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap atlet muda terkait pengaturan makan sebagai upaya mendukung performa optimal mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai pengaruh edukasi gizi melalui media poster terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap tentang pengaturan makan pada atlet remaja berusia 11 tahun di SSB Kancil Mas Karawang. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuasi-eksperimental dengan metode pre-test dan post-test untuk menilai perubahan pengetahuan dan sikap atlet sebelum dan sesudah pemberian edukasi. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 atlet berusia 11 tahun, yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria tertentu, seperti keterampilan dan komitmen dalam latihan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengukuran antropometri, kuesioner pengetahuan dan sikap, serta observasi langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan dan sikap atlet setelah intervensi, dengan skor rata-rata pengetahuan meningkat dari 45,50 menjadi 77,67 dan sikap dari 39,67 menjadi 84,33. Penggunaan media poster yang menarik secara visual serta metode permainan interaktif terbukti efektif dalam memudahkan pemahaman dan meningkatkan motivasi atlet untuk mempraktikkan pola makan yang sehat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi gizi dengan media poster mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap positif terhadap pengaturan makan pada atlet remaja. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah perlunya program edukasi gizi yang lebih luas dan berkelanjutan untuk memperkuat kebiasaan makan sehat, baik di sekolah olahraga maupun di komunitas umum, demi mendukung kesehatan dan performa jangka panjang atlet.

Abstract

Background: During adolescence, rapid changes occur that affect the nutritional requirements of the foods they eat. Health problems often arise during this period, including nutritional problems that arise during adolescent growth and development. The pocket money teenagers receive can influence how often they choose fast food. The more pocket money they have, the more often they tend to eat fast food because that money is usually used to buy unhealthy foods that are high in fat. Objectives: This research aims to examine the relationship between the amount of pocket money they have and the nutritional status of students at SMPN 1 West Karawang. Research Metodes: This research is a quantitative observational study that uses a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study was class 7J students at SMPN 1 West Karawang. The research sample was taken from the entire population tested using a total sampling technique, which means that all 7J class students at SMPN 1 West Karawang, totaling 37 students, were included in the research. Data analysis was carried out using the Spearman test. Results: In statistical analysis using the Spearman test at a 95% confidence level, a value was obtained (p-value 0.471) for pocket money per day and (p-value 0.186) for pocket money used to buy food and drinks per day. Therefore, with this p-value, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is rejected and the null hypothesis (Ho) is accepted. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between pocket money and the nutritional status of students at SMPN 11 West Karawang. These findings indicate that the pocket money factor has no effect on the nutritional status of adolescents.

Abstract

The habit of bringing lunch is one effort to fulfill nutritional needs. Macronutrient intake is one of the main components that plays an important role in improving the nutritional status of students. This study aims to determine the relationship between the habit of bringing lunch and the level of energy and macronutrient adequacy in SMP N 2 East Karawang students. This research method is quantitative with a cross-sectional design. This study was conducted on 35 students of SMPN 2 East Karawang. The habit of bringing lunch was assessed with the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) form and intake was assessed using a 1x24-hour food recall interview then descriptive analysis was carried out using SPSS. Most students habitually bring lunch rarely (57.1%). The level of energy adequacy of students. The adequacy level of energy and macronutrients is mostly included in the deficient category, for energy (68.6%), protein (71.4%), fat (48.6%), and carbohydrates (68.6%). There was a significant relationship between the level of adequacy of energy (p=0.003 <0.05) and carbohydrates (p=0.037 <0.05). However, there was no significant relationship between the adequacy level of protein (p=0.707 < 0.05) and fat (p=0.603 < 0.05) in students of SMPN 2 East Karawang. This study concludes that there is a significant relationship between the habit of bringing lunch with the level of adequacy of energy and carbohydrates in students of SMPN 2 East Karawang.
