Abstract

Pertumbuhan penduduk yang semakin meningkat berdampak terhadap limbah sisa makanan seperti minyak goreng. Potensi pemanfaatan limbah menjadi produk inovatif dan kreatif merupakan aspek yang didukung pemerintah dalam mewujudkan Desa Kreatif. Fenomena tersebut terjadi di Desa Pereng, Kabupaten Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah yang memiliki potensi besar dalam mewujudkan rintisan desa kreatif. Limbah minyak goreng bekas pakai industri makanan menjadi permasalahan yang harus diatasi dengan penerapan nilai daya guna. Melalui pendekatan dalam konsep pengabdian masyarakat menjadi solusi yang dapat dilakukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan berjenis kualitatif deskriptif. Beberapa teknik yang diterapkan dalam menunjang penelitian diantaranya yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan sumber literatur. Didapatkan hasil mengenai pemanfaatan limbah minyak jelantah sisa dari industri di Desa Pereng dapat dijadikan sebagai produk lilin aroma terapi. Potensi industri kreatif dapat dijadikan sebagai landasan untuk mewujudkan rintisan Desa Kreatif di Pereng.

Abstract

Indonesia has many pottery-producing regions that have different characteristics. One of the pottery producing areas is Sayangan Hamlet, Melikan Village, Klaten Regency. The majority profession of the people of Sayangan Hamlet is as pottery craftsmen. The people of Sayangan Hamlet have a pottery handicraft industry, one of which is Narwan Keramik. The products produced by Narwan Keramik are products made using the press molding technique. One of them is an earthenware pot, the production of pottery pots produced is an ornamental pottery pot. Product pottery products that are identical to the application of ornaments on the walls of pottery with the aim of adding aesthetic value. This research discusses the visualization of ornamental pots and describes the production process of pottery pots with the addition of ornaments. The method used in this research is qualitative research method with case study. The data collection technique used in this research is data reduction, data presentation and data analysis. data reduction techniques, presenting data and drawing conclusions. To strengthen validity of the data, data triangulation was carried out. The results of this research can The results of this research can show the works of various ornaments applied to pottery pots and the process of producing pottery pots by doing several stages, namely: 1.stages of producing pottery pots by doing several stages, namely: preparation (design idea), design validation, product realization. Keywords: Pottery, ornament, pot, variety.   Indonesia memiliki banyak daerah-daerah penghasil gerabah yang memiliki karakteriatik berbeda-beda. Salah satu daerah penghasil gerabah yaitu Dusun Sayangan, Desa Melikan Kabupaten Klaten. Profesi mayoritas masyarakat Dusun Sayangan adalah sebagai pengrajin gerabah. Mayarakat Dusun Sayangan memiliki industri kerajinan gerabah, salah satunya Narwan Keramik. Produk yang diproduksi Narwan Keramik merupakan produk yang dibuat menggunakan Teknik cetak tekan. Salah satunya pot gerabah, produksi pot gerabah yang dihasilkan merupakan pot gerabah hias. Produk pot gerabah yang identik dengan pengaplikasian ornamen pada dinding gerabah dengan tujuan untuk menambah nilai estetik. Penelitian ini membahas visualisasi ragam hias ornamen pot gerabah dan mendeskripsikan proses produksi pot gerabah dengan penambahan ornamen. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan. Untuk memperkuat keabsahan data, dilakukan tringgulasi data. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menunjukkan karya-karya ragam ornamen yang diaplikasikan pada pot gerabah dan proses tahapan memproduksi pot gerabah dengan melakukan beberapa tahapan yaitu: persiapan (ide desain), validasi desain, perwujudan produk. Kata kunci: Gerabah, ornamen, pot, ragam.

Abstract

Many batik motifs have been developed in various regions, inspired by various local resources such as plants, animals, regional icons, cultural arts, etc. The objective of this study is to look for ideas in the form of teak leaves and flowers that can be developed into batik and textile motif designs. The descriptive qualitative, literature review, participatory follow-up study, focus group discussion method, and the development of craftsman creativity were all used to achieve these goals. The study took place at the Jalidin batik craft shop in Sragen. Teak plant objects, motif designers, batik craftsmen, and libraries were among the data sources. The findings of the study were the motifs in the form of teak leaves and flowers, which could be used as master designs for both batik and textiles. Then the shape of the teak leaves and flowers are arranged in various compositions to produce several designs, and the batik motif designs are applied to jarit-patterned batik, long-sleeved shirt-patterned batik, and textile/printed batik. The resulting motifs were then produced into batik according to the economic class projections of the consumers, namely the consumer’s economic class projections, using prima and primissima cloths, combination and writing techniques, synthetic and natural dyes, and synthetic and natural dyes. In addition, the motifs were produced into printed textiles/batik. Batik cloths and textiles that have been produced are then made into shirts.

Abstract

This community service aims to develop new Girilayu Batik motifs that combine traditional elements with modern designs, and apply them to fashion and home decor products. Through a series of stages, starting from motif development, prototyping, to market testing, this Community Service has succeeded in producing products that are well received by consumers. The results of the market test show that this new motif not only increases the aesthetic appeal but also the selling value of Girilayu Batik products. The training provided to batik artisans improves their skills in applying new motifs, as well as involving the younger generation in preserving the batik tradition. Marketing strategies through digital catalogs, company profile videos, and other digital platforms have proven effective in expanding market reach. However, this community service identified challenges in technology adaptation by artisans and international market penetration. Overall, motif innovation and product diversification are important strategic steps to maintain the relevance and competitiveness of Girilayu Batik in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

The batik-making training, which combines stamping and brush techniques held in Girilayu, Matesih, Karanganyar, aims to enhance the skills of the Giriarum batik group members. As a center for traditional hand-drawn batik, Girilayu has significant potential to expand the variety of batik products it offers. In this training, participants are taught how to blend traditional hand-drawn batik techniques with modern methods such as stamping and brushing. The goal is for participants to create batik curtains that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly marketable. In addition to technical training, the training emphasizes the importance of business development aspects, including the selection of high-quality raw materials, the creation of innovative product designs, and the implementation of effective marketing strategies to enhance product competitiveness. With this knowledge, participants are expected to become more self-reliant and capable of expanding their batik market.

Abstract

Outpainting is one of art technologies based on artificial intelligence. Feature contained in TikTok application is able to expand uploaded the image. The image expansion system is supported by application of AI technology that is able to fill in empty parts of original image. this benefit can be achieved by identifying work patterns and understanding results of feature. It is necessary to understand concept of applying AI technology to produce images that are wider than the original photo. Therefore, an attempt was made to examine content results of Outpainting from perspective of elegant composition design. The experiment was conducted by uploading two photos that have different compositions, objects, complexity, and details of each image. In addition, the discussion of output results of technology is to find advantages and disadvantages of Outpainting feature found in TikTok application. Research strategies uses a descriptive process with trials and literature sources so as to explore good quality and in-depth data.

Abstract

A Batik is a work of art that has a teaching value in the form of advice. The aim of this study was to determine the aesthetic value of visualizing Jula-Juli batik as a guide in society. The research method used to collect and present the data is descriptively qualitative. The aesthetic value assessment approach uses the elegant design theory of Luca Iandoli and Giuseppe Zello. Abstract

Rasisme timbul dari kesenjangan yang terjadi pada kehidupan sosial masyarakat. Konflik berawal dari perbudakan era kolonialisme kemudian terbawa menjadi stereotip bahwa kulit hitam merupakan ras yang paling rendah derajatnya. Seiring berkembangnya zaman, rasisme menjadi permasalahan dalam berbagai lapisan, termasuk dampaknya terhadap perkembangan film dan musik. Film merupakan salah satu implementasi seni yang fleksibel dengan berbagai bidang yang berkolerasi dengan fenomena sejarah umat manusia melalui media gambar bergerak yang memiliki maksud dan tujuan tertentu. Rasisme adalah sejarah sosial masyarakat yang diangkat oleh F. Gary Gray sebagai produser film “Straight Outta Compton” dengan latar belakang fenomena rasisme yang dialami oleh grup musisi hip hop N.W.A. Kultur musik hip hop 90-an lahir dari proses kreatif penciptaan karya seni yang bertujuan untuk merepresentasikan dan merespon berdasarkan peristiwa rasisme kepada ras kulit hitam yang terjadi di Amerika Serikat. Hasil analisis bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan rasisme yang dialami oleh beberapa tokoh ras kulit hitam dan keterkaitannya dengan musik hip hop. Teknik analisis berawal dari timbulnya kultur rasisme yang ada pada masyarakat Amerika Serikat dengan menerapkan fokus teori rasisme James M. Jones. Artikel ini mendeskripsikan film tersebut menggunakan musik hip hop sebagai medium untuk mengungkapkan pengalaman rasisme, diskriminasi, dan perjuangan komunitas Afrika-Amerika di wilayah urban.

Abstract

The strategy of developing creative industries based on local wisdom is a means that can be adapted in the era of technological development. This effort can be done by analyzing the in-depth part of cultural products such as batik. The existence of batik, which not only covers the world of art, culture but also industry, can be utilized as a basis for building strategies. Exploring the strategy of strengthening local wisdom-based creative industries is obtained through the process of studying Jombangan Batik in East Java using qualitative methods. Data collection techniques in the form of observation and interviews were conducted at CV. Chariesma Batik Sejahtera is a batik production site in Jombang Regency. Data mining is also strengthened through literature review techniques with aligned topics. It was found that the strategy of using local wisdom in CV. Chariesma Batik Sejahtera utilizes local wisdom in the pre-production stage to produce sales. This can be a foundation or model to be applied in other creative industries. The utilization of local wisdom as a source of ideas in making products, ranging from materials, naming, values, and visuals. The manufacturing process can also include local wisdom, such as the value of protecting the environment and improving work skills. Thus, this strategy can be implemented and become an inspiration for other creative industries in incorporating elements and values from local wisdom.

Abstract

Girilayu Batik as one of the leading creative industries in Karanganyar Regency has currently experienced quite rapid progress. Several studies and community service activities in an effort to increase product capacity and quality have been carried out, but along with the increasingly tight competition in the fashion market, product diversification is still needed to be adjusted to the functions and trends that are currently developing. The motifs and functions of batik products in Girilayu are considered to need development in order to reach the market from a different side. This community service activity is an effort to open up wider batik market opportunities. The purpose of this activity is so that creative batik industry players in the Giriarum Batik Group, Girilayu Village, are able to create batik motifs for fashion and home décor which are currently starting to be popular. The method used to achieve this goal is in the form of training and mentoring in exploring creative ideas and creating batik motifs that are in accordance with the tastes of potential consumers. Training and mentoring for batik product diversification which will be carried out supported by the technical skills already possessed by batik craftsmen in the Giriarum Batik Group will be able to create products that are in demand by consumers. Fashion products other than clothes and fabrics as well as home décor products will differentiate batik competitors, so that market opportunities are wide open.
