Abstract

This study aims to analyze education management strategies in Medan City in an effort to improve the quality of learning through innovation and collaboration. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive methods, this study collects data through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies from various education stakeholders, including school principals, teachers, education officials, and the community. The main findings of the study show that the application of information technology, the development of local competency-based curriculum, and innovative teaching methods have improved student motivation and teaching quality. Collaboration between schools, the government, the private sector, and the community has also contributed positively to improving the quality of education. However, the study also identifies constraints such as limited infrastructure, varied community participation, and complex bureaucracy as challenges in the implementation of strategies. Research recommendations include improving infrastructure, increasing community participation, and simplifying bureaucracy to support the success of education management strategies. This research provides insight into the effectiveness of innovation and collaboration in education as well as the steps needed to overcome obstacles and maximize educational outcomes in Medan City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, sistem penjaminan mutu internal, dan budaya sekolah terhadap mutu kompetensi guru di SD Negeri 1 Kota Langsa. Populasi terdiri dari 32 guru SD Negeri 1 Kota Langsa, dengan sampel yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling, sehingga melibatkan seluruh populasi sebagai sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode non-tes, dengan menggunakan angket dan studi perpustakaan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS, termasuk analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil berikut: Pertama, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap mutu kompetensi guru di SD Negeri 1 Kota Langsa. Hal ini menegaskan peran penting kepala sekolah dalam membentuk mutu kompetensi guru. Kedua, penelitian tidak menemukan pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari sistem penjaminan mutu internal terhadap mutu kompetensi guru di sekolah tersebut. Ini mengindikasikan bahwa sistem penjaminan mutu internal mungkin belum memainkan peran signifikan dalam peningkatan mutu kompetensi guru di lingkungan ini. Ketiga, juga tidak ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan yang ditemukan dari budaya sekolah terhadap mutu kompetensi guru di SD Negeri 1 Kota Langsa. Ini menunjukkan bahwa budaya sekolah mungkin belum menjadi faktor dominan dalam membentuk mutu kompetensi guru. Terakhir, uji simultan menunjukkan bahwa secara bersama-sama, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, sistem penjaminan mutu internal, dan budaya sekolah memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap mutu kompetensi guru di sekolah ini. Kesimpulan utamanya adalah bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memainkan peran kunci dalam meningkatkan mutu kompetensi guru, sementara sistem penjaminan mutu internal dan budaya sekolah belum memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam konteks ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kepuasan kinerja guru di SMP Negeri 1 Karang Baru, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang. Faktor-faktor yang dianalisis meliputi kompetensi dasar guru, kreativitas, dan motivasi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 60 guru sebagai populasi utama, dengan pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode non-tes dengan menggunakan angket dan studi perpustakaan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS 26, menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan temuan yang relevan: Pertama, kompetensi dasar guru memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kinerja guru di SMP Negeri 1 Karang Baru, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang. Ini menekankan pentingnya kompetensi dasar guru dalam meningkatkan kepuasan kinerja mereka. Kedua, penelitian tidak menemukan pengaruh yang signifikan dari kreativitas terhadap kepuasan kinerja guru di sekolah tersebut, mengindikasikan bahwa faktor ini mungkin tidak menjadi pendorong utama dalam kepuasan kinerja guru di lingkungan tersebut. Ketiga, motivasi guru terbukti memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kinerja guru di SMP Negeri 1 Karang Baru. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya faktor motivasi dalam membentuk kepuasan kinerja guru. Terakhir, hasil uji simultan menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi dasar guru, kreativitas, dan motivasi secara bersama-sama memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan kinerja guru di SMP Negeri 1 Karang Baru, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga untuk pengembangan strategi dan kebijakan yang dapat meningkatkan kepuasan kinerja guru di sekolah tersebut.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of school principals' leadership, internal quality assurance systems, and school culture on the quality of teacher competence at SD Negeri 1 Kota Langsa. The population consists of 32 teachers at SD Negeri 1 Kota Langsa, and a total sampling technique was employed, involving the entire population as the sample. Data was collected through non-test methods using questionnaires and library studies as research instruments. Data analysis was conducted using the SPSS software, which included descriptive and regression analyses. The research findings reveal the following: Firstly, the leadership of the school principal has a significant and positive influence on the quality of teacher competence at SD Negeri 1 Kota Langsa. This underscores the vital role of the school principal in shaping the quality of teacher competence. Secondly, the study did not find a significant positive influence from the internal quality assurance system on the quality of teacher competence at the school, indicating that the internal quality assurance system might not yet play a significant role in enhancing teacher competence in this context. Thirdly, no significant positive influence was found from school culture on the quality of teacher competence at SD Negeri 1 Kota Langsa. This suggests that school culture may not be a dominant factor in shaping teacher competence. Lastly, the simultaneous test indicates that together, the leadership of the school principal, the internal quality assurance system, and school culture have a significant influence on teacher competence at this school. The primary conclusion is that the school principal's leadership plays a pivotal role in improving teacher competence, while the internal quality assurance system and school culture have not yet demonstrated a significant impact in this context.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of determining the influence of workload, stress coping and motivation on teacher productivity at SMP Negeri 1 Idi, East Aceh Regency. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach, while the research respondents were 67 teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Idi, East Aceh Regency. The conclusions of the research conducted include: 1) There is a positive and significant influence between workload on teacher productivity at SMP Negeri 1 Idi, East Aceh Regency. This is proven by the coefficient value tcount < ttable, namely 3.126 > 1.668 with a significance of 0.002 < 0.05. This means that the research hypothesis H₀ is rejected and H1 is accepted. 2) There is a positive but not significant influence between stress coping on teacher productivity at SMP Negeri 1 Idi, East Aceh Regency. This is proven by the coefficient value tcount > ttable, namely 0.050 < 1.668 with a significance of 0.960 > 0.05. This means that the research hypothesis H0 is accepted and H2 is rejected. 3) There is a positive and significant influence between motivation and teacher productivity at SMP Negeri 1 Idi, East Aceh Regency. This is proven by the coefficient value tcount < ttable, namely 6.982 > 1.669 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. This means that the research hypothesis H₀ is rejected and H1 is accepted. 4) There is a positive influence between workload, stress coping and motivation on teacher productivity at SMP Negeri 1 Idi, East Aceh Regency. This is based on the results of research conducted using the F test (simultaneous test) that the variables consisting of workload (X1), coping stress (X2), motivation (X3) have a significant value of α 0.000 < 0.05 and the value of Fcount > Ftable ( 136,452 > 3.13). Thus, the decision is obtained that H0 is rejected and H4 is accepted. The coefficient of determination (R Square) is R Square 0.860 or equal to 86%. This figure means that the variables Workload (X1), Coping Stress (X2), Motivation (X3) simultaneously (together) influence the Teacher Productivity variable (Y) by 86%. While the remainder is 100% - 86% = 14%. This means that 14% is influenced by other variables outside the regression equation or the variables studied.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of teachers’ certification, professional competence, and career development on teachers’ performance at SMP Negeri 1 Peureulak. This study uses a quantitative approach, while the research technique is carried out by distributing questionnaires to research respondents, totaling 59 teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Peureulak. The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect between teachers’ certification on teachers’ performance at SMP Negeri 1 Peureulak. This is evidenced by the value of the coefficient tcount < ttable, which is 2,951 > 1.672 at a significant value of 0.005 < 0.05. It is concluded that the research hypothesis H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. There is a positive but not significant effect among professional competence on teachers’ performance at SMP Negeri 1 Peureulak. This is evidenced by the value of the coefficient tcount > ttable, which is 0.206 < 1.672 at a significance level of 0.838 > 0.05. It is concluded that the research hypothesis H₀ is accepted and H2 is rejected. There is a positive and significant influence among career development on teachers’ performance at SMP Negeri 1 Peureulak. This is evidenced by the value of the coefficient tcount > ttable, which is 0.206 < 1.672 at a significance level of 0.838 > 0.05. It is concluded that the research hypothesis H₀ is rejected and H3 is accepted. There is a simultaneous positive influence between teachers’ certification, professional competence, and career development on teachers’ performance at SMP Negeri 1 Peureulak. Based on the results of the F test, it can be seen that the variables consisting of teachers’ certification (X1), professional competence (X2), career development (X3), have a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05 and the value of Fcount > Ftable (48.869 > 3.15). Thus the decision is obtained that H0 is rejected and H4 is accepted. In addition, the multiple linear regression models in this study are feasible to use because it has a positive value. The magnitude of the coefficient of determination (R Square) is R Square 0.727 or equal to 72.7%. This figure means that the variables of teachers’ certification, professional competence, career development, simultaneously (together) affect teachers’ performance by 72.7%. While the rest is 100% - 72.7% = 27.3%. This means that 27.3% is influenced by other variables outside the regression equation or the variables studied.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan yang menunjukan guru masih kesulitan dalam membuat perangkat pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan suatu produk perangkat pembelajaran berupa RPP dan MODUL berbasis saintifik untuk materi hukum hukum dasar kimia siswa kelas X Sekolah Menengah Atas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (RD). Langkah-langkah pengembangan penelitian ini (1) analisis kebutuhan, (2) penelitian dan pengumpulan data, (3) pengembangan produk awal, (4) evaluasi, (5) revisi, (6) penyempurnaan produk akhir. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket untuk memvalidasi kualitas perangkat pembelajaran berbasis saintifik oleh pakar pembelajaran dan guru kelas X Sekolah Menengah Atas. Perangkat pembelajaran berbasis saintifik ini dilakukan dengan pengujian atas keterpakain RPP yang dibuat oleh peneliti dan dapat digunakan oleh siswa kelas X serta dikembangkan dengan sangat baik dan layaknya digunakan berdasarkan validasi pakar pembelajaran ahli materi dengan skor 83% dan pakar media dengan skor 82%.  Penilaian perangkat pembelajaran berbasis saintifik sangat layak digunakan berdasarkan validasi guru kelas X dengan skor 85%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berupa penelitian eksperimen dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan modul pembelajaran berbasis saintifik pada materi hakikat ilmu kimia terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Modul pembelajaran yang digunakan telah dikembangkan dan telah tervalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli guru kimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan metode Borg and Gall. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan instrument tes. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menguji efektifitas pengaruh modul hakikat ilmu kimia berbasis saintifik adalah quasi eksperimen Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Al-Washliyah 1 Medan, yang terdiri 30 orang untuk kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan modul pembelajaran dan 30 orang untuk kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Modul hakikat ilmu kimia berbasis saintifik efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk menganalisis keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Hal ini didukung oleh hasil analisis data N-Gain. Kelas eksperimen menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis yang signifikan dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 1,45  kategori tinggi. Sementara hasil analisis data  N-Gain pada kelas kontrol terjadi peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis yang kurang signifikan dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,37 kategori sedang. Modul sangat menarik bagi siswa untuk dipelajari. Hal ini dapat diketahui dari hasil analisis angket yang menunjukkan bahwa persentase respons siswa terhadap penggunaan modul mencapai 81,56% dengan kriteria baik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in primary education between Indonesia and Malaysia through a systematic literature review. The research explores trends, strategies, and challenges faced by both countries in integrating ICT to improve learning quality and student engagement. Ten scientific articles published between 2021 and 2025 were analyzed, consisting of five from SINTA-indexed national journals and five from Scopus-indexed international journals. The results reveal that both Indonesia and Malaysia have made significant progress in ICT integration, but with different approaches. Indonesia emphasizes classroom-based and teacher-initiated innovation, while Malaysia applies top-down national policies that strengthen digital infrastructure and teacher competency frameworks. Key challenges include digital divides, limited teacher skills, and insufficient infrastructure. The findings suggest the importance of continuous teacher professional development, equitable access to ICT facilities, and cross-country collaboration to enhance ICT-based primary education in Southeast Asia.
