Abstract

This literary research is exemplifying about deconstruction of the existence and thought towards fans and haters of Bowo related to his Tik Tok account. This Paper indicates the reflections for the netizens. To get the reflection by conducting the data some theories which need to apply in this research to get the real essence of truth of the comments and any other particular object is Deconstruction by Derrida. Furthermore, to analyze that Industry is using many of objects to deceive people, in this case is netizens, Fans and Haters of Bowo the researchers apply Cultural Studies by Adorno and Horkheimer. Afterwards the researchers will show the essential role and judgments of fans and haters of Bowo the researcher apply difference then it will be conclude by Paradox and Parallel. This paper also applied the descriptive qualitative method to conduct the informations and data then get the reflections. The result is reflections for netizens who are active in giving comments and judging in social media. The reflections indicate the deception of Industrial field in getting viral of Bowo and Tik Tok for the netizens. In this case the netizen will be warned that they are deceived by Industry with Tik Tok App through Bowo. Besides the netizens, the research also indicating the reflection for the female adolescence netizens that they have similar role in commenting and judging Bowo, moreover they also deceived in the same condition between adoring and abhorring, they will be considered as bystander due to the comments that they have been texted in Bowo?s Instagram account are judging.

Abstract

This study analyses the viral impact of Bowo, a teenage celebrity from TikTok (a socialmedia site) as well as comments from netizens who happened to be Bowo?s fans orhaters. In addition, the study used theories of cultural studies from Derrida, Adorno andHorkheimer to analyze the entertainment industry as well as netizens, both fans andhaters of Bowo. The role and judgments of fans and haters of Bowo will be shown to seethe paradoxes and parallel of this phenomenon. Thus, the study applied a descriptivequalitative method to analyze data. The results indicate that although netizens know thatwhat they see in TikTok may be fabricated, some netizens still felt deceived by Bowo?sappearances in TikTok. Those feelings were shown in their comments in social media. Inaddition to feeling deceived, the results show how female teenagers who engaged inonline discussions regarding Bowo seemed torn into adoring and abhorring Bowo.

Abstract

Every parent has high hopes for their children. They will protect their children from a bad environment to keep them from behaving badly too. This is also because their minds will be influenced by the environment in which they grow and develop. Because this research is based on literature, the researcher uses literary devices to support good and accurate research. Therefore, this paper uses qualitative research that provides description of the phenomena. For more technical analysis on the comparison of the data taken from the novel, this research uses comparative literature method. The results show that novel Harry Potter and The Order of Phoenix presents clearly the struggle of Harry and his friends to defeat Voldemort and his followers. Therefore, after the death of his parents, Harry was entrusted to a good family and an environment filled with people who really care about him. Imagination and ambition will be created on the basis of the thoughts of the doer. Therefore, the development of character in terms of ambition and imagination was found in the novel.Keywords: Literature, Children Character, Imagination, Ambition

Abstract

Advertisement is a persuasive media aimed to persuading and influencing the public. Every day, advertisement can be found anywhere, such as in newspaper, television, radio, and also magazine. Pantene is a shampoo product that is very famous especially among women. Its advertisement can be found almost in every media. In this research, the researcher focuses on the semiotics elements found on Pantene advertisement using Charles Sanders Pierce’s theory. The problem in this research then formulated into three questions: (1) How is the process symbol of shampoo advertisement in each text of tagline (2) How is the process of triadic relation in each picture on shampoo advertisement. (3) How are the relation between the text and its picture on every shampoo advertisement. This research used Peirce theory of semiotic to analyze Pantene advertisement. Based on Pierce theory of semiotics, there are representament, object and interpretant. This research uses qualitative method because the data consist of words and pictures. The data of this research are taken from online media. After collecting the data, the researcher analyzes the data about how is the process symbol of shampoo advertisement in each text of tagline, how is the process of triadic relation in each picture on shampoo advertisement, and how are the relation between the text and its picture on every shampoo advertisement using Pierce’s theory. The result of this research shows that both the symbol and also the picture on the Pantene’s advertisement have representament, object, and interpretant. The representament is something that enters into relation with its object, the second component of the sign, the object is something beyond the sign to which it refers, and interpretant is a concept of thinking from the people who use a sign and give it special meaning which is referred by the sign. By using many different of pictures on the advertisement, it will make people easier to understand and make them more interested to the product.Key words: Semiotic, Triadic Relation, Advertisement, Shampoo, Beauty.

Abstract

This study focuses on a word or line that is identified as satire in a drama entitled The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus. The data was taken in the form of dialogues from the characters. Demon as a satirical expression means that the words or line identified as satire was built by several elements that are attached with demon characteristics (demonic). Demon is a creature who has clear characteristics as a bad set. The bad character of the demon is representative of satire. The character demon is a representation of ugliness or evil of the object criticized in the drama The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus. Researchers used the descriptive analysis method by Ratna (2004) in conducting this research. Descriptive analysis is a method used to analyze data and facts in the text and then interpret them. The researcher used two theories in seeing the story. Inter-relationship principle and semiotic.   The results of this research found three important elements in accordance with the topic of this research. The first is the antagonist character Mephistophilis, the demon. The second is the allusion to Franciscan Friar. Third, the phrase holy shape becomes the devil best is satire. Thus, the combination of elements leads to a demon as a form of satirical expression.Keywords: Satire, Demon, Allusion

Abstract

Teks sastra berkait dengan membaca secara dekonstruktif. Cerpen berjudul Hari Anya Jatuh Cinta dan Syam karya Nukila Amal (2010) bisa dibaca dengan menekankan wacana dekonstruksi. Berdasar pada wacana dekonstruksi, narasi dan relevansi antara keduanya kata dalam narasi Hari Anya Jatuh Cinta bisa meninggalkan kenyataan dan regularitas makna dan absurdisme mengalir berdasar pada kepercayaan ke-tak berarti-an pada dunia regulasi narasi dan konsep difference yang menjadi efek permainan konsep atau kata untuk sebuah perwujudan verbalisasi dan nominalisasi. Aktifitas teori poststruktural seperti ini ketika diterapkan terhadap cerpen bisa menggambarkan diskusi teoretis dan metodologis. Narasi akan dikonfirmasi ulang dengan pembacaan terhadap teks secara dekonstruksi. Narasi dipaparkan secara analisis dekonstrutif, dielaborasi dan terintegrasi dengan simbol dalam bentuk kata dan bahasa. Lalu penjelasan selanjutnya akan diarahkan  pada regularitas makna, dan ke-tak berarti-an pada regulasi narasi dan konsep difference yang menjadi konsepsi efek permainan konsep atau kata untuk sebuah perwujudan verbalisasi dan nominalisasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang tradisi dan narasi Seni Tarling yang berkembang di wilayah pesisir pantai utara (pantura) Jawa Barat, khususnya daerah Subang, Indramayu, dan Cirebon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejarah Tarling dari awal sampai perkembangannya hari ini, bagaimana pertunjukan Tarling, narasi-narasi lagu Tarling dalam kaitannya dengan konteks sosiologis-antropologis masyarakat Pantura, serta nilai-nilai kultural yang diusung dalam Seni Tarling secara keseluruhan. Pada gilirannya, aspek yang disebut terakhir, yaitu nilai-nilai kultural, akan dikaitkan secara interdisiplin dengan menggunakan teori ilmiah Sosiologi Sastra untuk menemukan ideologi dan identitas masyarakat Pantura. Pengaitan ini adalah satu keniscayaan karena struktur-struktur yang dibangun dalam seni/kesenian—dalam hal ini Seni Tarling—berikut struktur kebahasaan-kesastraan (tuturan, nada, metafora, dan simbol) yang tercermin dalam narasi lagunya memiliki unsur homologis (kesamaan struktur) dengan struktur masyarakat yang membangunnya. Dalam konteks sosiologi seni/sastra, bangunan (struktur) karya seni adalah ‘fakta kemanusiaan’ sebagi wujud artefak budaya yang dihasilkan dari aktivitas manusia, baik dalam hubungannya dengan dirinya sendiri maupun dengan orang lain. Sedangkan masyarakat yang membangun karya seni itu adalah ‘subyek kolektif’, yaitu realitas trans-individual yang menjadi latar belakang hadirnya fakta kemanusiaan tersebut, karena fakta-fakta seperti itu juga tidak akan pernah merupakan hasil aktivitas subyek individual, melainkan subyek kolektif sebagai realitas hubungan antar manusia dalam segala aspek kehidupannya. Abstract

This study aims to figure out the kinds of illocutionary acts and furthermore the function of representative performed by the inspirations of American motivators in the persuasive recordings in the English Speeches Youtube channel. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this examination are four videos from notable inspirations from America in English Speeches YouTube channel. In the wake of posting, choosing, and gathering the videos, the videos were watched a few times to facilitate the scientist in interpreting them. In dissecting the information, the researcher just takes utterances that permit the motivators to pass their expectations on to the audience members. The illocutionary act information performed by the motivators were arranged utilizing the instrument following Searle's hypothesis and the functions of representative performed by the motivators were grouped utilizing the instrument following Searle's hypothesis too. The main tracking down shows five sorts of illocutionary acts performed by motivators, specifically representative, directive, commissive, declarative and expressive.
