Abstract

Numeracy Learning activities after the Covid-19 Pandemic has been decline in the quality of learning in a number of elementary school students. This research is limited to learning numeracy for low grade students, namely grade 1,2, and 3, because the basic concept of numeration begins with low grades There are several factors that make difficult for students to understand numeracy, the students often forget about the concepts that have been taught before. An Effective way of memorizing with the conventional way is memorizing with repeat pronunciations. To improve the quality of education, learning concepts that were previously carried out conventionally must be developed in a modern way using application. The purpose of this research is to improve the numeracy learning concept of low-grade students in primary school after Covid-19 pandemic which is more fun and modern by using the concept of spaced repetition based on android flashcards. The analysis of 135 student’s assessment is based on criteria such as tangible, reliability, empathy, responsive, and assurance. The decision support system using Fuzzy Multi Criteria Methods (MCDM) is also used to determine the weighting of the criteria and the effectiveness of learning using spaced repetition concept and it’s application. The result of the weighting using fuzzy multi criteria is obtained defuzzification that tangible 65.18, reliability 56.54, responsive 46.17, assurance 49.13, and empathy 29.62. Tangible has the highest results in this test, it means that the students prefer modern learning with android application with an attractive experienced. The correlation test obtained the result 0.76 which is a high value in decision making and could be accepted.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak anak terutama pada ilmu matematika dengan menggunakan beragam permainan edukatif di kampung matematika. Lokasi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertempat di Dukuh Pakis RT 05 RW 01 Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah tahap awal yaitu observasi, tahap kedua yaitu persiapan lingkungan dan alat permainan, serta tahap yang terakhir adalah pelaksanaan. Respon dari warga Dukuh Pakis terhadap kampung matematika adalah senang karena lingkungan mereka menjadi lingkungan yang ramah anak dan ramah pendidikan. Abstract

Indonesian Sign Language (BISINDO) is the primary means of communication for deaf people in Indonesia, but the general public's understanding of BISINDO is still limited, thus hampering inclusive social interaction. To overcome this obstacle, the development of an artificial intelligence-based BISINDO detection system is a promising solution. One of the latest approaches is the utilization of the YOLOv8 algorithm, which is known to have advantages in real-time object detection with high accuracy and better model efficiency compared to previous versions. The BISINDO detection system using YOLOv8 is trained with image and video datasets of Hand gestures, so that it is able to recognize various BISINDO gestures in various lighting conditions and backgrounds. The main challenge in developing this system is the limited variety of datasets and image quality, so that more diverse data collection and optimization of model parameters are needed. Integration of supporting Augmented Reality (AR) and Transfer Learning technologies also has the potential to improve the learning experience and detection accuracy. Thus, the BISINDO detection system based on YOLOv8 is expected to expand communication access, increase public awareness of BISINDO, and support the realization of a more friendly and inclusive social environment for deaf people in Indonesia

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah rumah tangga menjadi salah satu isu lingkungan yang mendesak untuk diselesaikan. Pengelolaan sampah yang kurang optimal dapat berdampak negatif pada lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mengembangkan aplikasi Smart Waste Management berbasis Android untuk membantu proses pengelolaan sampah secara lebih efektif. Aplikasi ini dilengkapi dengan fitur pemindai (scan) yang mampu mengidentifikasi jenis sampah dan memberikan rekomendasi daur ulang menjadi kerajinan. Dengan memanfaatkan kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence), sistem dapat menganalisis gambar sampah dan mengkategorikannya secara otomatis. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengembangan aplikasi ini adalah Waterfall Model, yang terdiri dari tahap analisis kebutuhan, desain sistem, implementasi, dan pengujian. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode Black Box Testing untuk memastikan semua fitur aplikasi berjalan sesuai dengan harapan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi mampu mengidentifikasi sampah dengan akurasi tinggi dan memberikan panduan daur ulang yang bermanfaat bagi pengguna. Dengan adanya aplikasi ini, diharapkan masyarakat dapat lebih sadar akan pentingnya pengelolaan sampah dan ikut berkontribusi dalam menjaga lingkungan.

Abstract

The study investigates the utilization of data mining techniques, especially the Apriori algorithm and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) classification, in recommending appropriate learning methods based on student data. The purpose of this research is to analyze patterns and groupings in students’ behavior, preferences, and academic performance to support more informed and personalized educational strategies. The Apriori algorithm is used to identify frequent associations among learning related attributes, while KNN classification helps group students with similar learning characteristics. The analysis revealed that the digital learning method is the most preferred by students, with a percentage of 84.29%, followed by the traditional lecture method at 15.70%. These results reflect a notable trend toward technology-driven, flexible learning environments, although conventional approaches continue to hold relevance for a portion of learners. The research concludes that the integration of the Apriori algorithm and KNN clustering proves to be an effective analytical framework for facilitating adaptive learning. This approach allows educators and institutions to make data-driven decisions in tailoring instructional methods that align with the diverse needs and preferences of students.

Abstract

Community dedication is carried out with the aim of increasing the sales turn over of cloth mask at the UMKM Tanjung which is related in the sales of goods or shops. The method used in this services activity is through partial assistance and training. Partial assistance is carried out by providing guidence and training to improve skills in making mask innovations into painting maks. Creative economy assistance is carried out by making technology-based painting masks. Masks are designed using the basic graphic design sketch application on masks, so mask sketches can be custom ordered according to the wishes of potential buyers. Painting mask can also be a differentiator from other masks that are sold in the market, thus masks have different characteristics from other masks sold in the market. The result obtained are an incrase in the selling value of painting mask and and an increase in skills in the group of UMKM Tanjung. It can be concluded that the mentoring and training activities receive positive responses from the group based on the result.
