Abstract

Abstrak: Kader posyandu merupakan kader kesehatan yang berasal dari warga masyarakat yang dipilih oleh masyarakat serta bekerja secara sukarela untuk membantu meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat di wilayah kerja posyandunya. Selain itu, agar dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi keluarga, dapat dilakukan melalui kewirausahaan. Salah satu kewirausahaan yang dilakukan yaitu membuat olahan lokal daun katuk, yang memerlukan cara dalam menjaga kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader posyandu dalam menjaga kualitas produk olahan lokal daun katuk untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian kepada masyarakat yaitu kegiatan pelatihan dalam menjaga kualitas produk olahan lokal daun katuk. Sasaran pelatihan yaitu kader posyandu Desa Martopuro Kec. Purwosari Kab. Pasuruan sebanyak 40 orang. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan peserta saat pre-test sebesar 50% baik dan post-test sebesar 90% baik. Hasil pelatihan untuk nilai keterampilan, saat pre-test sebesar 45% baik dan post-test sebesar 85% baik. Kesimpulan dari pelatihan menjaga kualitas produk olahan lokal daun katuk berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader posyandu. Diharapkan dengan meningkatnya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kader posyandu dapat meningkatkan jiwa kewirausahaannya dan membantu ibu menyusui dalam memilih bahan yang tepat dan berkualitas untuk asupan sehari-hari.Abstract: Posyandu cadres are health cadres selected by the community and work voluntarily to help improve the health of the community in their posyandu area. Additionally, in order to improve the economic welfare of families, entrepreneurship can be undertaken. One form of entrepreneurship is the production of local processed katuk leaves, which requires methods to maintain the quality of the products produced. The aim of this community service is to enhance the knowledge and skills of posyandu cadres in maintaining the quality of local processed katuk leaf products to increase breast milk production. The method used in this community service is training activities on maintaining the quality of local processed katuk leaf products. The training targets are 40 posyandu cadres from Martopuro Village, Purwosari District, Pasuruan Regency. The training results showed that participants' knowledge during the pre-test was 50% good and 90% good during the post-test. The training results for skill scores showed 45% good during the pre-test and 85% good during the post-test. The conclusion of the training on maintaining the quality of local processed katuk leaf products successfully increased the knowledge and skills of posyandu cadres regarding how to select the right and quality materials, process raw materials into flour, food packaging, and product aesthetics (product design). It is hoped that by increasing the knowledge and skills of posyandu cadres, their entrepreneurial spirit will be enhanced, and they can assist breastfeeding mothers in selecting the right and quality materials for daily consumption.

Abstract

Background: This study investigates Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in expecting mothers, a condition arising from prolonged inadequate energy and protein intake. Untreated CED poses health risks for both mothers and their unborn babies, including miscarriage, premature birth, birth defects, low birth weight (LBW), and potentially stunting the child's growth. Despite existing goals, the incidence of CED in pregnant women remains above the target of 17.3%. Women with a mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) less than 23.5 cm are considered at high risk. This research aims to identify factors contributing to the prevalence of CED among pregnant women in the Central Java and East Java regions. Methods: This study employs a mixed-methods approach, specifically a sequential explanatory design. A sample sized group of 124 participants was selected using simple random sampling. Questionnaires were distributed to healthcare facilities.  In-depth interviews were subsequently conducted to delve deeper into the causes of CED and existing efforts to address it within the chosen health centers.  Results: The final multivariate analysis revealed a significant association (p-value < 0.05) between CED in pregnant women and the following factors: income (p-value=0.018, OR=3), knowledge about CED (p-value=0.028, OR=2.7), dietary habit (p-value=0.015, OR=3.4), and food intake (p-value=0.007, OR=4). Conclusion: Food intake is a more dominant variable in relation to CED in pregnant women. Health workers are encouraged to continue enhancing health promotion efforts regarding nutritional intake for pregnant women and their families. In addition, community health centers should consistently support the provision of supplementary feeding programs for pregnant women through regular monitoring.

Abstract

Penyakit kronis seperti hipertensi dan diabetes mellitus tidak hanya menimbulkan dampak fisik, tetapi juga berdampak pada kondisi psikososial penderitanya. Kader kesehatan desa berperan penting dalam memberikan pelayanan kesehatan primer, namun sebagian besar belum memiliki keterampilan untuk mendeteksi dini masalah psikososial. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader kesehatan dalam mengenali tanda dan gejala depresi maupun kecemasan pada penderita hipertensi dan diabetes mellitus. Metode pelatihan dilakukan melalui ceramah interaktif, diskusi kelompok, dan simulasi kepada 20 kader kesehatan desa. Evaluasi menggunakan pre-test dan post-test serta observasi keterampilan. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata skor pre-test 52,5 meningkat menjadi 82,15 pada post-test, dengan rata-rata peningkatan 29,65 poin. Keterampilan kader juga meningkat, terlihat dari kemampuan melakukan wawancara singkat dan mengidentifikasi gejala psikososial dalam simulasi. Kesimpulan kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan efektif meningkatkan kapasitas kader dalam deteksi dini masalah psikososial. Disarankan pelatihan dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dengan dukungan pendampingan dari tenaga kesehatan profesional.
