Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis yang belum begitu ditekankan dalam proses pembelajaran Biologi dapat menyebabkan siswa tidak terlatih berpikir kritis. Hal ini terlihat dari proses pembelajaran yang kurang mengeksplor proses berpikir kritis dan analistis sehingga kemampuan siswa rendah dan siswa cenderung pasif dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk itu dibutuhkan solusi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar dengan penggunaan model inkuiri terbimbing terintegrasi mind mapping. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan model inkuiri terbimbing terintegrasi mind mapping dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Kampar Timur.Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi-ekperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh kelas X IPA SMAN 1 Kampar Timur. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 2 kelas yang terdiri dari kelas X IPA 2 berjumlah 33 orang siswa sebagai kelas ekperimen dan kelas X IPA 3 berjumlah 33 orang siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes penguasaan konsep dan berpikir kritis berupa pretest, postest dan membuat rangkuman mind mapping. Analisis data untuk menguji penggunaan model Inkuiri terbimbing terintegrasi mind mapping untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa adalah analisis uji MANOVA, dan analisis N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh mind mapping dalam inkuiri terbimbing terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar pada kelas X IPA SMAN 1 Kampar Timur dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000<0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terintegrasi mind mapping dapat meningkatkan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa SMAN 1 Kampar Timur.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi bakteri endofit dari daun dan kulit batang tanaman Laban (Vitex pubescens Vahl) dan uji antibakteri . Bakteri di isolasi menggunakan media HVA. Karakteristik bakteri endofit  diamati secara makroskopis, mikroskopis dan melakukan uji katalase serta untuk uji antibakteri menggunakan bakteri patogen Erwinia carotrova. Jumlah isolat endofit yang berhasil diisolasi berjumlah 8 isolat (4 isolat dari daun Laban dan 4 isolat dari kulit batang Laban). Karakterisasi dilakukan pada 8 isolat endofit yang dihasilkan bahwa isolat memiliki ciri-ciri yang berbeda baik secara makroskopis, mikroskopis, dan semua isolat endofit dari tanaman Laban menghasilkan enzim katalase (uji +). Uji Bakteri endofit  terhadap bakteri patogen diperoleh 7 isolat memiliki daya hambat terhadap bakteri Erwinia carotrova.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to design a Pocket Book of Basidiomycota Mushrooms for Class X Biology learning with Fungi as a learning resource in the form of a pocket book. This research was carried out at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Riau University in September – November 2021. The basics in the stages of designing this pocket book are the Curriculum analysis stage and the pocket book design stage. The curriculum analysis stage is carried out by reviewing the 2013 curriculum and analyzing learning materials. The pocket book design stage is carried out by designing the syllabus and lesson plans first then the pocket book design is carried out, where the pocket book design consists of a cover, preface, table of contents, curriculum level, introduction, contents, and bibliography. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative where the method used is a survey method. Based on the results of the potential analysis, there are 29 types of Basidiomycota Mushrooms in the Arboretum Area, Riau University which can be used as a pocket book design on Fungi material in Biology learning class X SMA.Key Words: Pocket Book, Learning Media, Basidiomycota

Abstract

Based on the results of observations that have been carried out in several high schools in Pekanbaru, it can be concluded that it is very necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of E-modules because teachers only use textbooks and LKPD during the teaching and learning process, teachers have never used E-modules during learning. And teachers do not use learning resources that can support students' critical thinking skills. Students experience difficulty in providing arguments when asked for written explanations to solve problems, and students are unable to analyze and synthesize problems. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of the electronic components of the immune system of PBMP. It is hoped that this study can help teachers to choose new learning materials as an alternative to support learning during the 4.0 revolution, and to provide learning experiences using electronic components. PBMP (problem-based empowerment) and encourage learning. Students will study the resources of the immune system so that students can think critically to develop. The efficiency test results are classified as very efficient which can be seen in the average relevance of 96.08% in the most effective category.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap 1) Analisis kebutuhan dengan melibatkan 159 orang mahasiswa yang melaksanakan praktikum biologi. 2) Merancang sumber belajar berupa Virtual Laboratorium pada topik kultur jaringan tumbuhan, dalam tahapan ini design virtual yang dilakukan masih dalam masa pengembangan. Data self efficacy dengan 5 indikator yang terdiri dari (keyakinan menyelesaikan tugas, motivasi diri, kerja keras, mengatasi hambatan, dan menyelesaikan tugas dalam perspektif luas atau sempit) dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuisioner. Rancangan story board virtual lab didesign menggunakan software photoshop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata skor self efficacy terkait keyakinan menyelesaikan tugas (80), memotivasi diri (87), kerja Keras (87), mengatasi hambatan (80) dan self efficacy dalam menyelesaikan tugas dalam perspektif luas atau sempit (73). Hasil ini menunjukkan perlu adanya upaya untuk peningkatan self efficacy dengan mengembangkan su mber belajar untuk pelaksanaan praktikum berbasis teknologi informasi, salah satunya pengembangan virtual laboratorium yang dapat memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas secara mandiri.Abstract. The research was carried out in two stages: 1) Needs analysis involving 159 students who carried out biology practicum. 2) Designing learning resources in the form of Virtual Laboratories on the topic of plant tissue culture, at this stage the virtual design is still under development. Self-efficacy data with 5 indicators consisting of (belief in completing tasks, self-motivation, hard work, overcoming obstacles, and completing tasks in a broad or narrow perspective) were collected using a questionnaire. The virtual lab storyboard design is designed using Photoshop software. The results showed that the average self-efficacy scores related to belief in completing tasks (80), self-motivation (87), hard work (87), overcoming obstacles (80) and self-efficacy in completing tasks in a broad or narrow perspective (73). These results indicate the need for efforts to increase self-efficacy by developing learning resources for the implementation of information technology-based practicums, one of which is the development of virtual laboratories that can facilitate students in completing assignments independently.

Abstract

This e-LKPD research used a guided inquiry learning model which aimed at analyzing the effect of e-LKPD on improving cognitive learning outcomes of high school students on the material of the circulatory system. The study used the One Group Pretest-Posttest design model with the research subjects of class XI MIPA 3. At the beginning of the implementation students were given pretest questions, then students studied e-LKPD using a guided inquiry learning model and were given posttest questions. This e-LKPD was developed using the ADDIE model. This model consists of 5 stages of development, namely the Analyze, Design, Development. Implementation and Evaluation stages. The results of the research on the development of e-LKPD showed that: The feasibility value by media experts was very valid 3.76 (94) and the feasibility value of material experts was very valid 3.42 (85.5). The feasibility value of practitioners was very good 3.79 (94.75 ). Students responses were very practical. The practicality test by students was called trial 1 3.59 (89.75) and trial 2 by students 3.64 (90.78). This showed that e-LKPD using the kvisoft flipbook maker produced in this research was considered feasible to be used in learning material of circulatory system. Cognitive learning outcomes of students using e-LKPD development results had increased from 30.4 to 90.35 with a high value increase (N-Gain: 0.85).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the pH variation of the growth of Bacillus cereus strain IMB-11 in degrading diesel fuel. The research was conducted in the Laboratory of PMIPA, FKIP, Universitas Riau while total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) was measured in the solid residue in the Laboratory of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, ITB. This research was conducted in November 2019 – March 2020. The study was designed in a completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 3 replication groups. The media used are SMSS media with the addition of pH 6.5; pH 7.0; and pH 7.5, which was added with diesel fuel as much as 5% and bacterial isolates of Bacillus cereus strain IMB-11. The test parameter was the optical density (OD) of bacterial growth of Bacillus cereus Strain IMB-11 which was monitored using a spectrophotometer for 6 days and the measurement on the level of degradation or TPH diesel fuel using the Gravimetric method. Based on the research, the moderate pH of 7.0 was the best condition for strain growth with an OD of 5.8 with 26.95% of degradation rate of diesel fuel in vitro.

Abstract

Design innovations on student worksheets need to be developed so that students are motivated to following the learning process. Many students difficult to understand an abstract concept of biology because they can not see directly. We can using Augmented Reality technology in the design of Student Worksheets as one of that innovation. Therefore a descriptive study was conducted to design a Student Worksheet based on Augmented Reality. The design process was carried out in two stages, namely analysis and design. The analysis phase was done by observing using questionnaires and the design stage was done by utilizing various computer software. The result of research is the design of Student Worksheets that is integrated with Augmented Reality, so the student can see the abstract object of biology by 3D AR directly with that technology. This result were expected to be developed and carried out further testing.

Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the difficulty of the material science learning and implementation technology in the teaching learning process of high students in junior schools. The conducted at study was SMP Negeri 28 Pekanbaru, Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Middle School, Metta Maitreya Middle School and Bukit Raya Pekanbaru Middle School. The research methods useng descriptive qualitative which is obtained using Likert scale questionnaire sheets and interviews. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis toolpak. The results showed that Skeleton System Material included in the category of Fairly Difficult with an of average 25% and the Application of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) in Schools is still low due to inadequate. Based on the results of the analysis it was concluded that the application of ICT in junior high schools was still very low, so the development of disruptive so, the development of disruptive technology media is needed such as Tech Teacher that it was expected to improve student learning outcomes.
