Abstract

The children have been introduced to English during they were in kindergarten. There are several ways that teachers can do with the students such as singing, drawing using media and doing some questions and answer. Language is the main tool for communicating in human life, both individually and social collectively. Student's language in the 4-6 years old is still not maximal, so parents and teachers play an important role in helping students to interact. Kindergarten students have started to be introduced to basic English, according to EPI (English Proficiency Index,) Indonesia is still ranked 51st out of 88 countries in the world in 2018. And it included in the low skill group. The way of learning is still using props as learning media. Therefore, technology is needed to help kindergarten students in learning basic English using 3D objects for their material. Based on the analysis of observations to kindergarten students was obtained an increase of 32.74%. In the analysis of the black box test results, it was found that all functions in the application can run smoothly according to the expected of the results. Furthermore, as the results of the analysis of interviews with kindergarten teacher stated that the game for the introduction of basic English is very helpful for the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Pentingnya desain antar muka bagi sebuah aplikasi memiliki peranan yang sangat kuat terhadap keberlangsungan dan kebergunaan sebuah sistem, baik berbasis website maupun mobile. Pemenuhan aspek UI/UX pada sebuah aplikasi adalah hal mendasar bagi desain antar muka. Dalam pemenuhannya, salah satu metode yang mendukung adalah Design Thinking, di mana dalam proses desain dapat menggunakan tools Figma. Keseluruhan hal ini, menjadi kebutuhan bagi Siswa SMK Masmur untuk penguatan pegetahuan dan keterampilan yang saat ini menyelesaikan studi di bidang IT. Oleh karena itu, maka dilakukan pengenalan desain antar muka menggunakan tools Figma pada perancangan aplikas, khususnya aplikasi mobile. Pengenalan ini dilakukan dalam kegiatan berbentuk workshop sehingga peserta memiliki kemampuan yang komprehensif dan dapat diimplementasikan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah bertambahnya pengetahuan 30 siswa dan 2 guru pendamping di bidang IT dan bisa mengembangkan desain antar muka menggunakan tools Figma lebih lanjut. Kepuasan siswa terhadap materi yang disampaikan mencapai 4,2 dari skala 5 yang menujukkan tingkat kepuasan yang sangat baik. Penambahan waktu dan pelatihan yang lebih intensif menjadi saran perbaikan yang perlu dtingkatkan pada masa yang akan datang

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membuka peluang besar dalam peningkatan mutu layanan kesehatan masyarakat, termasuk di tingkat Posyandu. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kapasitas kader Posyandu dan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan teknologi kesehatan digital guna mendukung kemandirian digital di bidang kesehatan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui kolaborasi antara dosen Politeknik Caltex Riau (PCR) dan STIKes Pekanbaru Medical Center (PMC) di Posyandu Menjadi Bunga Keluarga, Kecamatan Senapelan, Kota Pekanbaru. Melalui tahapan persiapan, penyuluhan, pelatihan teknis, pendampingan, serta evaluasi, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan literasi digital dan keterampilan kader dalam menggunakan aplikasi BiBu (Bidan dan Ibu) untuk pencatatan, pelaporan, dan komunikasi layanan kesehatan secara lebih efisien. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan peningkatan kepercayaan diri kader dalam menggunakan teknologi serta penguatan sinergi antara perguruan tinggi, tenaga kesehatan, dan masyarakat dalam mewujudkan transformasi digital di layanan kesehatan berbasis komunitas

Abstract

In the face of rapid economic and technological change, building a robust partnership ecosystem is essential to ensure inclusive and sustainable development, particularly in regions with strong resource-based economies such as Riau Province, Indonesia. As the largest palm oil–producing region in the country, Riau plays a pivotal role in Indonesia's agricultural landscape. However, its significant economic growth—mainly driven by the palm oil industry—has not translated into equitable outcomes for rural communities, especially smallholder farmers and the sustainability of education for farmers' children. This study aims to develop an integrated framework that strengthens multi-stakeholder partnerships to foster innovation and empower farmers based on regional potential. The research adopts foresight methodology and system dynamics to model strategic scenarios. Data were analyzed through horizon scanning, focus group discussions, and simulation techniques. The results highlight persistent gaps in employment absorption, rural unemployment, and limited access to innovation and vocational training. Over half of surveyed enterprises indicated plans to enhance digital infrastructure and adopt artificial intelligence (AI). The study concludes that inclusive partnerships, vocational education aligned with industrial needs, and technology adoption are key to empowering farmers, diversifying the economy, and enhancing regional resilience.

Abstract

Unbalanced food consumption in toddlers can lead to serious health issues like malnutrition. Leaflets can be used as a tool to increase mothers' knowledge about balanced nutrition for their toddlers. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of leaflets in improving mothers' knowledge and interest in balanced nutrition for their toddlers in Kampung Baru, Riau Province. This research employed a Quasi Experiment with the One Group Pre-Post Test design and involved 85 respondents of mothers with toddlers in Kampung Baru Village. The study utilized the purposive sampling technique, collected data through a questionnaire, and performed univariate and bivariate analysis using statistical tests. The findings indicate that the P-value = 0.000, demonstrating the effectiveness of leaflets in increasing mothers' interest in balanced nutrition for their toddlers. As a result, health workers are encouraged to educate and provide information about balanced nutrition for toddlers through counseling and distribute leaflets more actively in Kampung Baru, Riau Province.

Abstract

Pembelajaran kewirausahaan di tingkat SMK dan SMA memiliki peran penting dalam membekali siswa dengan keterampilan perencanaan usaha sejak dini. Namun, dalam praktiknya, pembelajaran masih cenderung bersifat teoritis sehingga siswa belum terbiasa menyusun rencana bisnis secara terstruktur dan aplikatif. Kondisi ini juga ditemukan pada sekolah mitra, yaitu SMK Labor Pekanbaru dan SMAIT Al-Ittihad Rumbai, di mana siswa memiliki minat terhadap kewirausahaan tetapi masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memetakan ide usaha ke dalam model bisnis yang sistematis. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan melalui workshop penyusunan business plan menggunakan pendekatan Business Model Canvas (BMC). Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Workshop dilakukan secara interaktif melalui penyampaian materi dan praktik langsung penyusunan BMC dengan pendampingan dosen dan mahasiswa serta pemanfaatan media digital Canva. Evaluasi dilakukan berdasarkan penilaian hasil business plan yang disusun peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa mampu mengidentifikasi elemen utama BMC dan menyusun rancangan usaha sederhana secara lebih sistematis.
