Abstract

The use of technology in education allows learning activities to be more varied, easy and enjoyable so that it can influence students' understanding of concepts in physics learning. Research which aims to develop an e-book on Physics of Newton's laws of motion based on Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) which is suitable for increasing students' understanding of the concept has been carried out. This development research uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. Based on the results of expert validation data analysis, an average percentage value of 88% was obtained with the category suitable for use in the learning process. This is supported by the results of students' understanding of e-book’s content, which was 86.41 in the high category. Likewise, students' responses of the e-book developed show that the e-book is very good for use in the learning process to increase students' understanding of concepts and create interesting and meaningful learning.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the conception of Central Javanese students on fluid pressure. The survey was conducted in Central Java involving 515 participants (eight grade students about 14 years old) consisting of 177 males and 338 females. The instrument consists of six questions in a four-tier format about fluid pressure and is distributed via Microsoft Form. The analysis was carried out with Rasch analysis and percentages with six categories of conceptions: CU (Conceptual Understanding); PP (Partial Plus); PM (Partial Minus); NU (No Understanding); MC (Misconception); and NC (No Coding). The Rasch analysis shows the Cronbach alpha is 0.68 (Enough) and the distribution of students' conceptions of fluid pressure forms a normal curve. Meanwhile, bias was not found for gender problems in answering the questions. The percentage of the result are: CU (17%), PP (4%), PM (39%), NU (13%), MC (27%), and NC (0%). This indicates that students' conceptions are still dominated by PM and MC categories. Students in the PM category have good characteristics but lack self-confidence. While the MC category is an unexpected result because students are confident in their answers that are wrong or not in accordance with scientific conceptions. Abstract

Students memorizing the Qur'an face a variety of complex challenges. Those who effectively manage these demands are likely to experience positive psychological conditions and optimal psychological well-being. This study aims to investigate the impact of academic stress on the psychological well-being of students memorizing the Qur'an in Islamic boarding schools. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational design, the sample consisted of 100 Qur'an memorization students at the Bangkalan Madura Islamic boarding school, selected through accidental sampling. The study utilized Ryff's psychological well-being scale (reliability 0.914) and Sarafino and Smith's academic stress scale (reliability 0.802). Data were analyzed for normality, linearity, and heteroscedasticity using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, followed by hypothesis testing through simple linear regression analysis. The results indicated that academic stress significantly influences psychological well-being (F = 10.248, p = 0.001). Academic stress accounts for 30.2% of the variance in psychological well-being, with the remainder influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengungkap hakikat peran logo dalam praktik kampanye merek pada Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Karawang, dengan mengacu pada Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2016. Fokus penelitian meliputi dua aspek utama. Pertama, menganalisis aturan hukum dan hakikat penggunaan logo sebagai identitas dan alat kampanye merek di Indonesia. Abstract

Alternative conceptions become obstacles in physics. However, it is difficult to find instruments that can identify students' alternative conceptions, especially in gases kinetic theory (DIGaKiT). The purpose of this research was to development of diagnostic instrument of DIGaKiT in identifying students’ alternative conceptions by Rasch analysis model. The research method used the defining, designing, developing, and disseminating (4D). The samples are 31 students (12 male students and 19 female students, their ages were typically 16 years old) at one of the senior high schools at Belitung. Rasch analysis was used to identify the validity, reliability, and distribution of students' alternative conceptions. The result is that the level of validity and reliability of the instrument is in a good category. Meanwhile, alternative conceptions of the kinetic theory of gases can be identified in all questions, and the questions with the highest alternative conceptions are questions with code Q11 (77%) and the lowest are questions with codes Q1, Q5, and Q6 (4%). Therefore, teachers must design learning processes that can reduce students’ alternative conceptions of the kinetic theory of gases material.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of a physics e-book integrated with a virtual laboratory in improving students' multi-representation skills and conceptual understanding. The study applied a nonequivalent control-group design involving 27 second-semester physics education students. The experimental class (11 students) used a multi-representation e-book integrated with a virtual laboratory, while the control class (16 students) used only the multi-representation e-book. Pretest and posttest data were analyzed using normalized gain (N-gain) and Mann-Whitney tests. Results show that the experimental class achieved an N-gain of 0.23 for multi-representation (low category) and 0.48 for conceptual understanding (medium category). The control class achieved 0.19 (low) and 0.39 (medium), respectively. Statistical analysis revealed no significant differences between groups, likely due to the small sample size and the limited use of the virtual laboratory during lessons. Nevertheless, the integrated e-book showed higher average gains than the e-book alone. These findings suggest that integrating virtual laboratory components in e-books can enhance learning outcomes, though implementation factors must be optimized.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of ICT literacy on the pedagogic competence of high school physics teachers in North Maluku. This research is correlational quantitative research. The subjects in this study were 80 high school physics teachers with details of 60 female teachers and 20 male teachers. Data collection on ICT literacy and pedagogic competence of Physics teachers was carried out through tests using ICT literacy questions and pedagogical competencies of knowledge aspects. Furthermore, the re-search data were analyzed using a linear regression test with IBM SPSS 20 software. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the understanding of ICT literacy has a positive effect on the pedagogic competence of physics teachers in the aspect of knowledge. This can be seen from the coefficient value of the variable X of 0.614, which means the magnitude of the influence of X on Y is in a strong category because it has a percentage of 61.4%. The implication of the results of this study is one of the efforts to improve the pedagogic competence of teachers, namely by strengthening their ICT literacy, because the higher the ICT literacy of teachers, the higher their pedagogical competence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the multi-representation ability profile of physics students in the interactive multimedia assisted problem-based learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research involved 9 female teachers and 1 male teacher. Data on the multi-representation abilities of Physics teachers were obtained by using the 5 item multi-representation problem instrument in the form of representing image to verbal, verbal to mathematics, verbal to picture, table to graph, and mathematics to verbal. Meanwhile, researchers utilized interviews to gather information on the difficulties that prospective physics teachers had in working on multi-representational problems. The results of the analysis show that the multi-representation ability of prospective physics teachers is generally good. This can be seen from the average percentage obtained by 63%. However, there are two indicators that are still not good, namely verbal to mathematics representation and mathematics to verbal representation with an average percentage of 30% and 43% respectively. For this reason, it is necessary to make efforts to increase the multi-representational abilities of prospective physics teachers by using approaches, teaching materials, and learning media that are able to teach and present physics concepts in various forms of representation so that it is easier to understand the concepts presented.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pendidikan menjadi salah satu pilar penting dalam agenda Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) mendatang, sehingga menjadi tugas utama pendidik dalam membangun sumber daya peserta didik yang berkualitas, salah satunya meningkatkan manajemen diri dan emosi siswa remaja. Tujuan: Pengabdian bertujuan untuk membekali siswa dengan pemahaman serta keterampilan dasar dalam mengenali, mengelola, dan mengarahkan emosi serta perilaku diri secara sehat dan adaptif. Metode: Pengabdian ini melibatkan siswa-siswi SMKN 4 Malang dengan menggunakan metode Psikoedukasi dengan pendekatan partisipatif dan kontekstual. Evaluasi efektivitas psikoedukasi menggunakan desain pre-experimental melalui pemberian pre-test dan post-test kepada peserta. Hasil: Pemberian psikoedukasi melalui pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan post-test sebesar 4,89 poin dibandingkan pre-test. Selain itu, data menunjukkan bahwa 42,55% siswa mengalami peningkatan skor, dan 46,81% mempertahankan nilai yang sama. Kesimpulan: Pemberian psikoedukasi dapat meningkatkan pemahaman tentang manajemen diri dan emosi peserta didik. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk melibatkan jumlah peserta yang mencakup berbagai jenjang kelas atau jurusan.

Abstract

Persaingan industri helm yang semakin ketat menuntut produsen memahami faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh harga, persepsi risiko, kelompok acuan, desain produk, serta saluran distribusi terhadap keputusan pembelian helm merek KYT di Kota Surabaya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi penelitian adalah masyarakat Kota Surabaya yang pernah membeli dan menggunakan helm merek KYT. Sampel berjumlah 100 responden yang diperoleh melalui kuesioner online dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner berskala Likert. Analisis data dilakukan dengan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS 26 melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, asumsi klasik, uji t, dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harga (X1), persepsi risiko (X2), kelompok acuan (X3), dan desain produk (X4) berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian (Y), sedangkan saluran distribusi (X5) berpengaruh negatif signifikan. Faktor dominan yang memengaruhi adalah desain produk. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memberikan pemahaman empiris terkait faktor-faktor penentu keputusan pembelian serta memperkaya literatur pemasaran, khususnya mengenai perilaku konsumen dan strategi pemasaran produk otomotif. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi manajerial bagi perusahaan untuk lebih menekankan inovasi desain, strategi harga yang kompetitif, penguatan kepercayaan konsumen, serta pengelolaan distribusi yang efektif guna meningkatkan keputusan pembelian konsumen terhadap helm merek KYT.
