Abstract

Penelitian deskriptif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas XI SMK 3 kota sungai penuh dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika pada matriks. Pengumpulan data kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa menggunakan teknik tes dan dokumentasi. Instrumen tes yang digunakan adalah soal uraian yang berjumlah 7 butir soal kemampuan penalaran matematis. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan cara mereduksi, penyajian, dan penarika kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 orang siswa kelas XI Busana 3 SMKN 3 Kota Sungai Penuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualifikasi kemampuan penalran matematis 50% siswa dikategorikan sangat baik mampu memperkirakan jawaban dan proses solusi, menyusun pembuktian langsung, serta mampu menarik kesimpulan logis sesuai dengan penalaran terhapad penyelesasian soal matriks. Selanjutnya, kategori baik dicapai oleh 25% siswa, mampu memperkirakan jawaban dan proses solusi namun kurang lengkap, menyusun pembuktian langsung, dan menarik kesimpulan logis dari penyelesaian soal matriks. Kemudian terdapat 25% siswa mencapai kategori cukup mampu memperkirakan jawaban dan proses solusi namun kurang benar dan kurang lengkap, tidak mampu menyelesaikan pembuktian langsung, dan tidak dapat menarik kesimpulan logis karena penyelesaiannya kurang lengkap. Selanjutnya tidak ada siswa yang berkemampuan penalaran matematis dalam kategori kurang dan sangat kurang.Kata Kunci: penalaran matematis, masalah matematika, matriks.

Abstract

The ability to solve problems is part of the purpose of learning mathematics in junior high school, but the reality that occurs in the field is not the case. This can be seen from the lack of trained students and find it difficult to work on the stages of problem solving so that students' mathematical problem-solving abilities are still relatively low. Therefore, Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model is used by using questions based on local culture. This study aims to look at differences in the improvement of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities between those through the PBL learning model using questions based on local culture and students who use conventional learning in class VII. The method is Quasi Experimental Design with the Random Sampling Cluster technique, VIIB class as the experimental and the VIID class as the control. Data processing is performed by the formula N-gain, then hypothesis testing is done using the t test. From the results of data analysis shows that there are significant differences in the improvement of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities between those who go through the PBL learning model by using questions based on local culture and those using conventional learning.

Abstract

This study started from the lack of students’ mathematical creative thinking skills in SMPN 4 Kerinci. The Problem Centered Learning (PCL) Approach can improve the students’ creative thinking ability in theory. We interested to investigate the effect of the Problem Centered Learning (PCL) Approach in students’ creative thinking skills through this study. The purpose of this study was to determine the students’ mathematical creative thinking skills in solving triangles and quadrilaterals problems with using Problem Centered Learning (PCL) Approach. This study was quasi experiment research with Post-Test Only Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of the entire population from VII A and VII B grades at SMPN 4 Kerinci. Therefore we use the saturated sample technique where 20 students in VII A grade as experimental class then 20 students in VII B grade as control class. We use the creative thinking test, observation sheet and documentation technique to collect the data. The data were analyzed using the parametric t-test because the data distribution was normal and the sample was come from the homogeny population. The results of this study indicate that students in the experimental class have better creative thinking skills than the control class. The lack of students’ creative thinking ability in the control class was caused by most of students pay less attention to the learning process, did not master the triangle and quadrilateral material and lack ability in developing an idea in solving the given problem.

Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by the importance of geometry, geometry is a very important thing to learn, especially in mathematics. Therefore students must learn geometry The truth reveals that geometry students still have limited mathematical reasoning abilities. . A learning module that can assist pupils in learning geometry is necessary in order to overcome these challenges.. Therefore, E module based on Somatic, Auditory, Visual and Intellectual (SAVI) was developed. The goal of this research is to develop e-module based on SAVI on geometry subject. This study employs the Plomp development model and is a development study. The subject are nine grade students of SMP N 2 Kerinci. The instruments used were validation sheets and teacher and student response questionnaires. Based on data analysis, it was found that (a) the developed SAVI-based e-module was valid both in terms of material and appearance, (b) the developed SAVI-based e-module met very practical criteria both in terms of presentation efficiency, attractiveness, ease of use, and design with a percentage of 85.6% based on student response questionnaires, and 76.8% based on teacher response questionnaires.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh model problem based learning dengan menggunakan multimedia terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah randomized control- group only design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Penuh. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah sampling jenuh. Kelas VIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan Kelas VIIB sebagai kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa yang menggunakan model problem based learning berbantuan multimedia di kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Kota Sungai Penuh dengan rata-rata nilai 85 dan persentase ketuntasan 100%. Sedangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran tradisional berbantuan multimedia, dengan rata-rata kelas 62,86 dan persentase ketuntasan 33,33%. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis dapat disimpulkan bahwa model problem based learning (PBL) berbantuan multimedia berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk desian learning trajectory yang valid dan praktis untuk mendukung pemahaman siswa dalam memfaktorkan persamaan kuadrat dengan menggunakan blok aljabar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah design research. Design research ini melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu: 1) Preliminary Design yang mencakup penyusunan hypotethical learning trajectory (HLT); 2) Design Experiment yang mencakup pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdasarkan HLT yang telah dirancang; dan 3) Retropective Analysis, yaitu membandingkan HLT yang dilaksanakan. Pengembangan HLT menjadi learning trajectory diperoleh melalui dokumentsi, observasi dan wawancara dengan guru dan siswa untuk mengklarifikasi dan mengkonfirmasi alur belajar. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX C MTsN 6 Kerinci yang berjumlah 20 siswa untuk teaching expriment. Sedangkan pilot experiment adalah siswa kelas IX MTsN 6 Kerinci yang dipilih sebanyak 6 siswa dengan 3 yang mempunyai kemampuan yang berbeda-berbeda yang dipilih oleh guru yaitu 2 siswa berkemampuan tinggi, 2 siswa berkemampuan sedang, dan 2 orang berkemampuan rendah. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa desian pembelajaran yang disusun dapat mengembangkan aktivitas belajar siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika serta kemampuan konsep siswa tentang memfaktorkan persamaan kuadrat melalui blok aljabar. Siswa dapat menemukan konsep persamaan kuadrat dengan baik serta dapat mempresentasikan hasil pemecahan masalahnya.

Abstract

Abstrak. Desa Bunga Tanjung Kabupaten Kerinci memiliki kearifan lokal berupa anyaman bambu, dibalik proses dan hasil karya kerajinan anyaman yang tercipta terdapat unsur matematika yang disebut etnomatematika yang sebagian besar masyarakat disana tidak mengetahui akan hal itu.  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat khususnya pengrajin anyaman bambu desa Bunga Tanjung Kerinci. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah aspek-aspek matematika yang terdapat pada anyaman bambu Desa Bunga Tanjung Kabupaten Kerinci adalah a) mengukur, aspek etnomatematika mengukur terdapat pada saat pengrajin menentukan ukuran bambu, ketebalan bambu, jarak dan sudut saat membuat pola atau motif anyaman. b) menghitung, aspek etnomatematika menghitung terdapat pada saat pengeringan bambu yang membutuhkan perhitungan waktu atau durasi, juga pada saat membuat pola yang membutuhkan perhitungan dengan langkah yang sistematis. c) mendesain, aspek etnomatematika mendesain terdapat pada saat pengrajin membuat pola atau motif anyaman,  seperti pada saat pengrajin mendesain motif atau pola angkat satu, angkat tiga, motif padat dan motif matahari dan membuat pola bentuk karya anyaman yang diinginkan.d) menjelaskan, aspek etnomatematika menjelaskan terdapat pada makna atau arti dari anyaman ataupun motif anyaman.Kata kunci: Eksplorasi, Etnomatematika, Anyaman Bambu Abstract. Bunga Tanjung Village, Kerinci Regency has local wisdom in the form of woven bamboo, behind the process and the results of the woven crafts that are created there is a mathematical element called ethnomathematics which most of the people there do not know about. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research through an ethnographic approach. The subjects in this study were the community, especially woven bamboo craftsmen in Bunga Tanjung Kerinci village. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are that the mathematical aspects contained in woven bamboo in Bunga Tanjung Village, Kerinci Regency are a) measuring, the ethnomathematics aspect of measuring occurs when the craftsman determines the size of the bamboo, the thickness of the bamboo, the distance and the angle when making the pattern or motif of the woven. b) counting, the ethnomathematics aspect of counting occurs when drying bamboo which requires calculation of time or duration, also when making patterns which require calculations in systematic steps. c) designing, the ethnomathematics aspect of designing occurs when craftsmen make woven patterns or motifs, such as when craftsmen design one, three, solid motifs and sun motifs and make patterns of the desired form of woven work. d) explains aspects Ethnomatematics explains that it is found in the meaning or meaning of the woven or woven motifsKeywords: Exploration, Ethnomathematics, Bamboo Weaving

Abstract

Culture can be a place to learn mathematical concepts. One culture that contains elements of mathematics is the art of batik. The various batik motifs contain mathematical elements in them. One of the batiks that has various motifs is the Incung Kerinci Sungai Penuh batik. The aim of this study was to conduct an ethnomathematics study on the Incung Kerinci Sungai Penuh batik motif. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Information was obtained through field observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Researchers took pictures of batik cloth, then the results of the documentation were analyzed one by one to find mathematical concepts in each of the Incung Kerinci Sungai Penuh batik motifs. The subjects in this study were the owners of the Batik Incoang GNCE house located in the city of Sungai Penuh. The results showed that the Incung batik motif contained mathematical elements, in the form of flat geometric concepts such as rectangles, triangles, and circles. In addition to the concept of flat plane geometry, the Incung batik motif also contains mathematical concepts in transformation material, in the form of translations, reflections, and rotations.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of the ability to understand mathematical concepts. This is because mathematical concepts are related to one another so that learning them must be continuous and continuous. But in reality there are still many students who cannot understand the learning concept as a whole. One of the efforts and solutions to overcome this is that there must be an update in the learning model, the Learning Model which is expected to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts is the scramble type cooperative learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of scramble type cooperative learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This type of research is a experimental research. The population in this study were all seventh grade students at one of the junior high schools in Kerinci. The sample consisted of two classes selected by probability sampling. The instrument used was a test of mathematical concept understanding ability. Data analysis using Independent t-test. Based on data analysis, it was found that there was an effect of scramble type cooperative learning model on students' mathematical concept understanding ability with the average value of the experimental class of 88.03 and the control class of 78.10.

Abstract

The ability to make decisions is an important thing and needs to be trained in learning, including mathematics. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability to make decisions while learning mathematics. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The subject of this study was all class VII D students in one of the junior high schools in Sungai Penuh City, totaling 28 people. The instruments used in this study are in the form of tests, observations, and documentation. The data obtained is then analyzed in a way that the data is grouped based on the problem being solved by the choice and the reasons that tend to be commonly chosen. The data is presented in the form of analysis of test results given regarding decision-making abilities, but is more focused on the choices and reasons given by students. As for the results of the study, students can make decisions by choosing the most appropriate alternative, accompanied by arguments. Recommendations from researchers are needed so that educators can practice decision-making skills on different materials.
