Abstract

Chocolate contains magnesium which functions to enlarge blood vessels so as to prevent muscle spasms and blood vessel walls, Therefore magnesium functions to relieve dysmenorrhea or pain during menstruation. The purpose of this study was to determine the reduction in dysmenorrhea pain by giving chocolate. The method in this study is pre experimental with the type of one group pretest-posttest design research. The population in this study were all young women who experience dysmenorrhea with a sample of 30 young girls. Data analysis uses independent t-test. The results showed that the average pain before chocolate consumption was 4.47, and after chocolate consumption was 2.78. There is a difference before and after giving chocolate to young women at Kesuma Pharmacy Vocational School in Bandar Lampung in 2019, with a p-value of 0.001 (less than 0.05). It is expected to be an input for young women who experience dysmenorrhea pain in order to consume chocolate as an alternative to non-pharmacology as a reduction in dysmenorrhea pain.

Abstract

Weighing is one of the main activities of the nutrition improvement program that focuses on preventing and improving on child nutrition condition. The government builds program in order to overcome these problems by making efforts to move the community through the development of village community health with an operational implementation as a form of Pos Pelayanan Terpadu (Posyandu). Coverage of weighing toddlers in Lampung province  is 76.48% but has not met the target, East Lampung Health Office recorded that there was still a lack of weighing coverage of 74.32%, Posyandu Sukadana recorded 51.48%, and in Posyandu Cermai 3 by 43%. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors Associated with Maternal Participation for Weighing Toddler at Posyandu Cermai 3 in Rajabasa Batanghari Village 2018. The design used in this study is correlation with the cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers who had toddlers 6-59 months at the Posyandu Cermai 3 in Rajabasa Btanghari Village in 2018 which numbered 128, while the sample taken was 96. Bivariate analysis in this study used Chi Square Test. The results of the study obtained p value 0,005 which means there is a relationship between education and maternal participation, p value 0.048 means that there is a relationship between work and maternal participation, p-value 0,079 means that there isn’t relationship between the parity and maternal participation at the Posyandu Cermai 3 in Rajabasa Batanghari Village 2018.

Abstract

Breast milk is the best natural fluid that is needed by babies. Based on exclusive breast milk coverage in Indonesia on 2018 in the amount of 65,16 percent. The breast milk that came out a little will affect the breastfeeding process which will make exclusive breast milk unsuccessful. One effort that can be done to expedite breastfeeding in postpartum mothers is with oxytocin massage. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of oxytocin message to the improvement of breastmilk production in postpartum mothers in PMB Langgeng Sri Asih on 2020. The type of this research uses a Quasi Experiment with the expansion of the non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest. The population of this research is postpartum mother 3-10 days in PMB Langgeng Sri Asih which amounted to 26 respondents. The sampling technique uses total sampling which is divided into 2 groups, namely 13 treatment group respondents and 13 control group respondents. This research is implemented on February 25 – March 25, 2020. The data analysis method uses a statistic analysis technique paired t-test and independent t-test. The result of this research obtained from 13 respondent carried out oxytocin message the average of milk production is 24,0 ml while 13 respondent did not do oxytocin message the average of milk production is 11,7 ml with significance (p = 0,001 less than 0,005), The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of oxytocin massage on increasing milk production in postpartum mothers.

Abstract

The world’s percentage of Exclusive Breastfeeding (EB) is still low. As in national scope the coverage of infants which was exclusive breastfeeding as much as 68.74 percent in 2018. Data coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Lampung Province in 2018, is also still below the national exclusive breastfeeding coverage that is 61.63 percent. While the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in TanggamusDistrict is still lower when compared to the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Lampung Province, which only reaches 53.2 percent. Exclusive breastfeeding can be influenced by several factors, including education, cultural customs, and the role of health providers. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors affecting exclusive breastfeeding in Puskesmas Pulau Panggung, Tanggamus District in 2020. This type of research is quantitative, the design of this research is analytic observational using a cross-sectional approach, and the population was mothers who have babies between 7-12 months who visit at Puskesmas Pulau Panggung, with a total sample of 106 respondents. The analysis used univariate and bivariate using the test chi-square. The results obtained by the mother who did not give exclusive breastfeeding as many as 57 people (53.8 percent), the level of maternal education in the low category was 67 people (63.2 percent). Most respondents have good cultural customs, namely 58 people (54.7 percent). Most health providers support exclusive breastfeeding, as many as 65 people (61.3 percent). There is a relationship between the level of education, cultural customs and the role of health providers toward exclusive breastfeeding in Puskesmas Pulau Panggung Tanggamus District, 2020. It is expected that health providers educate mothers about the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding.
