Abstract

Investment is the process of allocating capital or funds with the expectation of earning profits in the future. Psychological factors are of significant importance in the realm of investment decision making. A person may be influenced by psychological factors to make irrational investment decisions, which could cause a deviation from the desired level of risk and return as estimated by the investor. As a result, there is a need for a comprehensive examination of the psychological variables that can impact investment decision-making. Cognitive dissonance, herding, illusion of control, emotion, and overconfidence are the five variables examined in this research. The relationship between psychological factors and investment decision making can be predicted using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The conclusion that the variables illusion of control, emotion, and overconfidence have a significant impact on investment decision making is supported by the PLS-SEM method's effective application in analyzing the influence of psychology on investment decision making. In the context of investment decisions, cognitive dissonance and herding variables exhibit negligible influence. Additionally, the predictive relevance value acquired in this research is greater than zero, suggesting that the variables and data effectively forecast the model with respect to the present state of affairs.

Abstract

Secularism has been entering every aspect of life, including a micro-level of financial management of a family. This study sheds light on how religious views can be used to minimize the influence of secularism. This study was mainly aimed at demonstrating how sacred goals in Muslim families, through Sakeenah values, can be used as an antidote to secularism practices in managing family finance. Thirteen contextual characteristics of financial management in eight Muslim families were identified using the Grounded Theory method. These characteristics were used to verify main concepts—basic financial management, family structure, Sakeenah elements, and a form of secularism—usury. Using the Grounded Theory method was also the other aim of this study that demonstrated its use to deepen the interrelation between those four main concepts and those characteristics contextually. Several limitations surfaced after the analyses, and this allowed recommendations for future studies.

Abstract

Online shopping has made changes in consumer behavior when shopping, especially in Indonesia, where online shopping continues to increase. For this reason, the question that arises then is how consumer perceptions are related to online shopping in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of consumer perceptions of online shopping in Indonesia, namely Tokopedia, Shopee, Bukalapak and Lazada. A total of 850 respondents throughout Indonesia were involved in this study. Consumer perceptions related to online shopping in this study are security, self-efficacy, usefulness, ease of use, quality of e-service (reliability, web design, trustworthiness, personalization and responsiveness), purchase intention and customer satisfaction. The distribution of the questionnaires was carried out using two methods, namely surveys and filling out via google forms which were then analyzed and analyzed using a descriptive statistical approach. The results show that consumers tend to agree regarding security, ease of use, self-efficacy, usefulness, quality of e-service, purchase intention and customer satisfaction. Only consumer perceptions have differences in views related to online and offline buying and selling. In addition, online transactions and privacy of individual data are still a concern for consumers. Finally, some limitations and suggestions for future research are also discussed in this study.

Abstract

Good village financial management is the main foundation for improving village development and community welfare. The purpose of this study is to examine how village financial management in Bacan District, South Halmahera Regency, is impacted by leadership, human resources, commitment, and communication.  This research uses quantitative methods by collecting data through surveys and questionnaires from 140 respondents from 14 villages in the research area. Analysis findings indicate that while communication has no discernible impact on village financial management, leadership, human resources, and dedication do. This research provides an important contribution in formulating strategies to increase accountability and transparency in village financial governance.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: Financial technology (Fintech) has become a solution for many SMEs seeking to improve business perfor­mance in an increasingly competitive business environment. Thus, it is important to investigate the factors underlying SMEs’ decision to adopt Fintech. Background Problem: Previous studies have applied various theoretical frameworks to explore Fintech adoption. Despite this, limited knowledge exists regarding the determinants influencing the adoption of Fintech among SMEs. Novelty: By using innovation diffusion theory, this study examines the underlying elements that contribute to the adoption of Fintech by SMEs. Research Methods: Data were collected using the survey approach. Self-administered question­naires were distributed to SMEs in Indonesia using purposive sampling, yielding 273 responses. The data were then analyzed using the partial least square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) method. Findings/Results: The results confirmed all hypotheses developed for the study. Specifi­cally, relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, and observability positively affect attitude towards Fintech adoption. In turn, positive attitude towards the adoption of Fintech has a significant impact on the intention to use Fintech. In addition, attitude mediates the relation­ship between IDT factors (relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, and observability) and Fintech adoption intention. Conclusion: Innova­tion diffusion theory is able to explain the factors that form SMEs' attitude and adoption intention toward Fintech. The outcomes of this research provide important implications both theoretically and practically.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of green finance on firm value with profitability as a mediating variable. This study has a total sample of 16 companies with a purposive sampling technique as a sampling method. The type of data used is secondary data obtained from annual reports, sustainability reports, and company financial reports for four consecutive years. The data analysis method in this study uses Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), and data processing techniques using SmartPLS 4.0 software assistance. The results of this study indicate that green finance  affects  firm  value,  green  finance  affects  profitability, profitability affects firm value, and profitability cannot mediate the effect of green finance on firm value

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Economic Value Added (EVA), Financial Value Added (FVA), and Market Value Added (MVA) on financial performance. The population of this research consists of companies in the consumer services sub-sector listed on the IDX. The sample of this study includes 34 companies based on the following criteria: companies in the consumer services sub-sector listed on the IDX during the 2020–2022 period and companies that published complete and consecutive annual financial reports for 2020–2022. The results show that Economic Value Added (EVA) has a significant and negative effect on financial performance, Financial Value Added (FVA) has no effect on financial performance, and Market Value Added (MVA) has no effect on financial performance. Additionally, the simultaneous test results with a significance value of 0.000338 < 0.05 indicate that Economic Value Added (EVA), Financial Value Added (FVA), and Market Value Added (MVA) collectively have an effect on financial performance

Abstract

UMKM memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian nasional dengan kontribusi signifikan terhadap PDB dan penyerapan tenaga kerja. Di Indonesia, terdapat 64,19 juta UMKM yang menyumbang 61,97% PDB dan menyerap 97% tenaga kerja. Melalui kemajuan teknologi, UMKM kini dapat mengembangkan usahanya lebih efektif, salah satunya dengan strategi pemasaran yang tepat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini difokuskan pada peningkatan nilai jual buah salak di Kelurahan Bobo, Kota Tidore Kepulauan melalui pelatihan desain kemasan. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi partisipatif, di mana masyarakat terlibat aktif dalam seluruh proses kegiatan. Salah satu strategi penting adalah pencatatan keuangan sebelum pengemasan, agar petani dapat menghitung biaya pengemasan secara akurat, menentukan harga jual kompetitif, dan membuat keputusan bisnis yang lebih baik. Dengan kemasan menarik dan strategi yang tepat, diharapkan nilai jual salak lokal meningkat.

Abstract

Perikanan tangkap merupakan salah satu sektor yang memiliki peranan penting bagi perekonomian di Indonesia, khususnya bagi daerah-daerah yang memiliki potensi laut yang melimpah. Hanya saja selama ini kesejahteraan masih menjadi isu yang kerap dihadapi oleh para nelayan. Salah satu hal yang mendorong terjadinya hal tersebut adalah ketidakpastian yang dihadapi para nelayan dalam melaut serta kurangnya pemahaman para nelayan tentang bagaimana mengelola keuangan dengan baik. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kapasitas nelayan skala kecil di Desa Guraping, Kota Tidore Kepulauan melalui peningkatan literasi keuangan. Kegiatan sosialisasi literasi keuangan dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah, case method, dan tanya jawab. Hasil akhir dari kegiatan ini bahwa harus diakui bahwa pemahaman literasi keuangan pada istri nelayan masih sangat rendah sehingga harus dilakukan kegiatan serupa untuk meningkatkan tingkat pemahaman dari para istri nelayan ini.

Abstract

Banyak program pembangunan yang terus dilakukan oleh pemerintah, yang tujuannya agar kehidupan masyarakat berubah menjadi lebih baik. Pembangunan merupakan sebuah upaya atau cara yang dikerjakan yang terencana untuk melaksanakan perubahan demi mencapai tujuan. Pemberdayaan masyarakat merupakan salah satu program yang sedang menjadi mainstream dalam proses pembangunan di Indonesia. Pemberdayaan masyarakat bertujuan agar masyarakat bisa menggali dan mengembangkan potensi dan menjadikan masyarakat mandiri. Salah satu bentuk pemberdayaan adalah melalui UMKM yang dianggap memiliki peran yang sangat penting bagi kesejahteraan masyarakat dengan membuka lapangan kerja dan menambah pendapatan masyarakat sekitar sehingga mencukupi kehidupan sehari-hari seperti pangan, maupun kehidupan lainnya. Dari analisis situasi dan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh petani salak di Desa Bobo Kota Tidore Kepulauan adalah belum banyak yang memahami potensi usaha yang dikembangkan oleh kelompok tani salak, kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan hasil olahan salak itu sendiri dan keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana dalam meningkatkan usaha menuju UMKM, sehingga sebagai langkah awal adalah menjelaskan peluang ketika menuju ke UMKM dan mencari solusi untuk permasalahan atas permasalahan yang terjadi di petani salak. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah metode sosialisasi partisipatif. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian yang telah dibahas maka strategi pengembangan usaha untuk keberlanjutan usaha salak dapat menyesuaikan berdasarkan faktor tantangan dan keberhasilan yang telah dilakukan oleh para petani salak di Kelurahan Bobo Kota Tidore Kepulauan. Selain itu juga sangat dibutuhkan atensi dari Pemerintah Daerah Kota Tidore Kepulauan guna keberlanjutan usaha, baik dari sisi sertifikasi, perluasan lahan, dan komoditi unggulan.
