Abstract

Abstract

Credit scoring is an important element in decision-making for providing financing, especially for microfinance institutions. Several methods for predicting credit scoring include Decession Tree, Gradient Boosted, Neural Network, K-NN, and Rule Induction. This study aims to improve the accuracy of financing risk prediction by efficiently integrating historical data. The Neural Network (NN) algorithm is a machine learning algorithm consisting of neurons (nodes) connected to each other in several layers (input, hidden, and output). NN is used for pattern recognition, classification, regression, and complex non-linear modeling. The NN algorithm has the advantage of working well on large and diverse data and unstructured data. However, the NN algorithm has weaknesses such as overfitting and data dependence. In this study, the integration of the Sample Bootstrapping and Weighted Principal Component Analysis (PCA) methods is proposed to improve optimal accuracy in the NN algorithm. The Sample Bootstrapping method is used to reduce the amount of training data to be processed. The Weighted PCA method is used to reduce attributes. This study uses a financing customer dataset. The results of the study show that the integration of the NN algorithm with Sample Bootstrapping and Weighted PCA resulted in an accuracy increase of 1-3% (97%-99%) compared to other algorithms. Therefore, it can be concluded that the integration of the NN algorithm with Sample Bootstrapping and Weighted PCA produces better accuracy than other algorithms

Abstract

This study examines Tri Hita Karana as a cultural and ethical foundation of Village Credit Institutions (Lembaga Perkreditan Desa LPD) in Bali, addressing the gap in existing financial sustainability literature that has largely emphasize technical governance while neglecting indigenous moral frameworks. This study adopts a qualitative interpretive approach supported by a conceptual-analytical framework and synthesis of prior empirical studies, including those employing SEM-PLS. It explores how the principle of parahyangan, pawongan, and palemahan are institutionalized through the ethical constructs of Karma and Dharma in shaping financial performance and long-term sustainability. Data were derived from a structured literature review, customary village regulations, and previous ethnographic and empirical studies, analyzed using thematic coding, institutional mapping, and interpretive synthesis. The findings indicate that Karma and Dharma strengthen financial performance by enhancing spiritual accountability, social trust, and ethical discipline. Furthermore, financial performance mediates their influence on institutional sustainability. These results suggest that Tri Hita Karana operates not merely as a cultural philosophy but as an applied system of economic ethics that translates moral values into financial resilience. This study contributes to the literature by demonstrating that culturally embedded Hindu ethics constitute a form of institutional capital and offer an alternative framework for integrating economic, social, and environmental sustainability in community-based finance.

Abstract

Purpose - This study aims to describe the implementation of the learning management system, analyze the implementation of adult-based (andragogical) instructional activities, and identify the constraints and solutions in the online Arabic language learning program for adults at Maha Arabic Center. Design/Methodology/Approach - This qualitative study employed a single-case embedded case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with managers, instructors, and adult learners, as well as passive participant observation of 24 online learning sessions conducted via Zoom and document analysis. Findings - The findings indicate that: (1) the implementation of the learning management system involves the use of supporting digital tools such as Zoom, Canva, and Google Forms; (2) the instructional process is carried out through structured learning activities tailored to the self-directed learning characteristics of adult learners; and (3) the main challenges include participants’ limited availability and the absence of an integrated learning platform, which are addressed by providing recorded sessions and optimizing regular coordination. Research Limitation/Implications - This study is limited to a single non-formal educational institution and employs a case study approach; therefore, the findings cannot be generalized broadly. Nevertheless, the results offer practical implications for the development of andragogy-based online Arabic language learning management systems for adult learners.

Abstract

The modernization of Islamic education and changes in students’ learning behavior require pesantren to develop Islamic values-based classroom management that is effective, humanistic, and oriented toward religious character building. This study aims to analyze the management of Islamic values-based classroom management at Pesantren Dea Malela NTB and its implications for the effectiveness of students’ learning. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed using open coding, axial coding, and selective coding techniques. The findings reveal that classroom management is implemented integratively through planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation functions grounded in the values of adab, trustworthiness (amanah), discipline, ukhuwah, ihsan, and al-musāwah. These values are operationalized through religious habituation, teacher role modeling, dialogic communication, and integrated boarding school-based supervision. The study also finds that the humanistic-educative approach enhances student participation, creates a conducive learning environment, and strengthens Islamic character formation. This research contributes to the development of a conceptual model of Islamic classroom management within the context of modern pesantren education.
