Abstract

Pandawara Group, a youth community based in Bandung, has become an inspiring example in efforts to promote cleanliness and environmental sustainability through the #onedayonetrashbag movement. This initiative encourages people to collect the trash they encounter daily and put it in one bag as a commitment to environmental cleanliness. In addition to focusing on concrete actions such as cleaning trash in various public areas, Pandawara Group also leverages the power of social media to spread positive messages about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and preserving nature. Through this movement, they not only encourage the public to actively participate but also voice the values of Pancasila, such as mutual cooperation (gotong royong), social justice, and humanity. Pandawara Group emphasizes the importance of collaboration in every activity, where each individual, from community members to the broader society, plays a role in maintaining cleanliness together. Their efforts are not limited to physical actions like trash cleaning, but also include education on proper waste management and environmental friendliness. Despite facing challenges, such as the lack of waste management facilities in some areas and difficulties in maintaining consistent public participation, this movement has succeeded in attracting the attention of various stakeholders, including the government, influencers, and other organizations, who together strive for cleanliness and environmental sustainability. By demonstrating that small collective actions can lead to significant impact, Pandawara Group provides a real example that collaborative efforts in environmental conservation can create positive and sustainable change.

Abstract

The role and implementation of Religious Courts in protecting the rights of women and children after divorce through religious court decisions as an effort to defend the family's economy. This study aims to understand how religious courts effectively carry out their duties in protecting the rights of women and children and providing economic protection for families after divorce. The research method used in this study is the normative legal research method with a statutory, conceptual, and historical approach. The results of the study indicate that religious courts have a significant role in protecting the rights of women and children after divorce. Religious court decisions consistently apply the principles of justice, benefit and social welfare to ensure that the rights of women and children are well protected. Through these decisions, Religious Court judges as state officials are at the forefront in ensuring that the rights of women and children are protected, as well as providing justice and benefits for providing family economic protection. However, in implementation, not all post-divorce religious court decisions accommodate the rights of women and children. It is hoped that these findings can contribute to the development of better policies in protecting the rights of women and children after divorce, as well as strengthening the role of religious courts as institutions of a legal system that play a role in providing justice and benefits for justice seekers as an effort to defend the family economy after divorce.

Abstract

Abstract Songs are one of the objects protected by Law no. 28/2014 concerning Copyright, has significant legal protection complexity. Even though it is supported by a solid legal foundation, musical works remain vulnerable to various forms of copyright infringement, especially because of the economic value attached to them. The financial gain and increase in popularity that can be gained from a song is outweighed by the risks of covers, such as duplication, changes to lyrics, renditions, or publication without permission from the composer. This research aims to analyze legal protection for songwriters using qualitative methods with a normative juridical approach. The research focus includes two protection strategies: preventive and repressive. Preventive protection aims to prevent violations through provisions in law, while repressive protection is carried out through legal mechanisms for violations that occur, with the aim of providing comprehensive protection for the rights of songwriters. Abstract

The capital market plays an important role as a means for companies to raise funds and for individuals to invest, but it is vulnerable to various fraudulent practices, such as financial statement manipulation. One significant case is the manipulation of PT. Garuda Indonesia Tbk’s financial statements in 2018, where the company falsely recognized USD 239.94 million in revenue, creating an illusion of profit and harming investors. This study aims to analyze legal protection for investors against fraudulent activities in the capital market and evaluate the relevance of sanctions imposed by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) based on Law Number 8 of 1995 concerning the Capital Market. Using a normative juridical method and a descriptive-analytical approach, the study examines the inconsistency between administrative sanctions imposed and the criminal provisions stipulated in the law. The findings reveal that administrative sanctions such as fines and orders to restate financial statements imposed by OJK fail to provide a deterrent effect and are disproportionate to the harm caused to investors and the integrity of the capital market. Instead, such financial statement manipulation should be classified as a crime under Article 107 of Law Number 8 of 1995, which prescribes criminal penalties such as imprisonment and fines for perpetrators. Furthermore, this study highlights the crucial role of OJK in strengthening supervision and enforcing stricter sanctions to enhance legal protection for investors and maintain public trust in the capital market. Accordingly, the study recommends policy revisions to ensure sanctions are better aligned with the severity of violations and emphasizes the need for improved transparency and accountability of issuers to prevent future manipulation practices

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of food cost management in the hotel industry, identifying key factors influencing food cost stability and proposing strategies to enhance cost efficiency. Effective food cost control is crucial for maintaining profitability and sustainability in hotel operations. A mixed-methods approach was utilized, incorporating observations, documentation, and structured interviews with key personnel, including the Financial Controller, Cost Controller, Purchasing Manager, and Store Manager. Quantitative descriptive analysis revealed inefficiencies in food cost management, with excessive purchasing and insufficient sales contributing to elevated costs. Qualitative analysis further identified several internal and external factors affecting food cost stability. External influences, such as fluctuations in raw material prices, posed challenges in maintaining consistent food costs. Internally, issues such as equipment malfunctions, poor inventory management, and lack of employee discipline significantly impacted cost efficiency. Findings indicate that ineffective cost control mechanisms hinder the hotel's ability to maintain optimal food cost levels. To address these challenges, the study recommends a series of strategic interventions. Regular adjustments to menu pricing based on market trends and cost analysis can help mitigate external price fluctuations. Strengthening supervision and control over food cost disbursements will enhance accountability and efficiency. Additionally, improving employee discipline through training and performance monitoring can minimize waste and operational inefficiencies. By implementing these measures, hotels can achieve more effective food cost management, reduce unnecessary expenditures, and improve overall financial performance. Optimizing food cost efficiency not only enhances profitability but also contributes to the long-term sustainability of hotel operations. This study underscores the importance of proactive cost management strategies to ensure financial stability and operational success in the hospitality industry.

Abstract

Purposes: This study aims to analyze the importance of supervisor support in motivating operational employees and its implications for work performance and employee retention in 5-star hotels in Bali. The problems raised in this study are the effect of supervisor support on employee work motivation, the effect of work motivation on employee performance, and the effect of work motivation on employee retention at 5-star hotels in Bali. Research methods: The population in this study is all permanent employees at 5-star hotels in Bali. The number of research respondent samples of 125 was determined by purposive sampling. The research data used are primary data and secondary data. The data processing method is carried out with SEM with SmartPLS 4. Results and discussion: The effect of supervisor support on employee work motivation at a 5-star hotel in Bali 64.9% was positive and significant, which means that the higher the supervisor support, the higher the employee's work motivation. Employee work motivation has a positive and significant effect of 64.6% on employee performance, and work motivation affects employee retention positively and significantly by 52.5%. After considering the control variable, the increased R-Square value suggests that supervisor support positively impacts employee motivation if employees have a high education. Implication: Aspects of educational level greatly influence a supervisor in making decisions to motivate employees at a 5-star hotel in Bali. Decision-making is faster and more structured because it has a mature theoretical foundation. The higher the education, the more comprehensive the supervisor's insight. A supervisor with an unmarried status has speed in making decisions and motivates his employees. From a gender perspective, women cannot freely determine workload and work shifts compared to men.
