Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis learning obstacle yang dialami siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal computational thinking pada materi tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI KM 2 di SMAN 13 Gowa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan computational thinking, observasi pembelajaran, serta wawancara dengan siswa dan guru. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami hambatan belajar yang sangat tinggi pada hampir seluruh indikator computational thinking, dengan rata-rata hambatan sebesar 97%. Hambatan belajar meliputi: (1) kesalahan dalam melakukan dekomposisi atau identifikasi masalah, karena siswa tidak mampu menentukan informasi penting pada soal, terutama soal cerita; (2) kesulitan mengenali pola sehingga keliru menggunakan rumus barisan atau deret; (3) miskonsepsi dalam melakukan abstraksi dan generalisasi, ditandai dengan kecenderungan menggunakan seluruh informasi tanpa memilah yang relevan; serta (4) kelemahan dalam berpikir algoritmik karena siswa tidak mampu menyusun langkah-langkah penyelesaian secara sistematis. Wawancara mengungkap bahwa siswa jarang diberikan soal kontekstual sehingga tidak terlatih memahami informasi, serta masih bingung membedakan barisan dan deret. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa learning obstacle siswa didominasi oleh hambatan epistemologis dan didaktis, yang berkaitan dengan rendahnya pemahaman konsep dasar, kurangnya variasi latihan soal, dan belum optimalnya keterkaitan antara materi dan konteks.

Abstract

This study analyzed the validity and reliability of the Arabic-speaking skills test for Madrasah Aliyah students in Makassar. Speaking skills were essential in Arabic language learning, especially in the context of Islamic education in Indonesia. This study aimed to determine whether the test used had adequate construct validity and reliability in assessing students’ speaking skills. Construct validity was examined through principal component analysis, while internal consistency reliability was measured using Cronbach’s alpha and McDonald’s omega. Data were obtained from a speaking test administered to student samples and analyzed with statistical software. The results indicated that several test items were problematic and required revision. The low Cronbach’s alpha value highlighted issues in inter-item correlations, affecting the overall reliability of the test. The study concludes that the instrument needs refinement to improve measurement accuracy and emphasizes the importance of ongoing evaluation in the development of Arabic speaking assessment tools.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of gamification-based formative assessment, specifically using Quizizz and Crossword Puzzles (TTS), on student learning outcomes in economics, focusing on the material concerning the division and scope of economics. While previous research confirmed the benefits of game-based assessments in enhancing motivation and learning, a direct comparative study between Quizizz and TTS was rare, especially on this fundamental economic topic. Employing a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental Design, the study used Purposive Sampling to select two groups of 36 students each at UPT SMAN 13 Sinjai: one group treated with Quizizz and the other with TTSData analysis using JASP involved the Independent Samples t-test on post-test score. The descriptive analysis showed that the TTS group achieved a significantly higher average score (x=82.92) compared to the Quizizz group (x =72.11). The Independent Samples t-test confirmed a statistically significant difference (p < 0.001) in learning outcomes, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. The conclusion highlights that the Crossword Puzzle (TTS) method is substantially more effective due to its ability to encourage deeper cognitive processing, active elaborative encoding, and a more stress-free, engaging learning environment, leading to stronger long-term memory retention than the quick-response nature of Quizizz
