Abstract

Fire is one of the disasters that can cause significant losses, both material and nonmaterial. To reduce this risk, an automated system is needed that can respond quickly to fires. This robot is designed and built to automatically detect and extinguish fires using the Sugeno fuzzy logic method based on an Arduino microcontroller. The robot system is equipped with a flame sensor to detect the presence of fire and an ultrasonic sensor for obstacle avoidance navigation. The Sugeno fuzzy logic method is used to control the robot's movement decisions based on data received from the sensors, enabling the robot to move adaptively toward the fire source. Once the fire's location is detected, the robot activates a fan as an actuator to extinguish the fire. System testing was conducted by observing the robot's response to the presence of fire, including its ability to detect and extinguish small fires from candles in a short time, as well as navigate obstacles effectively. With this system, it is hoped that it can serve as an initial solution for automatically and efficiently addressing minor fires. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of information technology and competence on the performance of educational personnel with achievement motivation as an intervening factor. The problem behind this study is to analyze the responsiveness aspect or the quick response of educational personnel (tendik) at Semarang University who have a lower job satisfaction assessment ratio compared to other aspects. This indicates that the performance of Educational Personnel at Semarang University in handling lecturer and student problems still needs to be improved and encourages Educational Personnel to make more use of information technology at Semarang University and improve competence in accordance with their respective main tasks through achievement motivation so that it can affect the performance of Educational Personnel. This research is a quantitative research with an explanatory approach. It utilizes primary data, obtained directly from the research subjects through questionnaires. The study was conducted at the University of Semarang, with a sample of 72 education personnel using proportional area sampling and proportional stratified random sampling. The analysis method used was the three-box method and PLS-SEM. The results of the analysis prove that competence has a positive effect on the performance of educational staff, the use of information technology does not have a positive effect on the performance of educational staff, competence has a positive effect on achievement motivation, the use of information technology has a positive effect on achievement motivation, achievement motivation has a positive effect on the performance of educational staff and achievement motivation can mediate the influence of competence and the use of information technology on the performance of educational staff.

Abstract

Employee performance is a strategic factor for the sustainability and development of an organization. This study aims to analyze the influence of individual characteristics, leadership, and work discipline on employee performance with the work environment as a moderating variable at the University of Semarang (USM). The underlying problem of this study is the suboptimal completion of organizational activities on time, which impacts overall performance. The study population consisted of 257 USM employees, with a sample of 72 employees selected through a purposive sampling method. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression, t-test, coefficient of determination, and path analysis. The results showed that individual characteristics, leadership, and work discipline have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addition, the work environment was proven to act as a moderating variable that strengthens the influence of individual characteristics, leadership, and work discipline on employee performance. These findings emphasize the importance of creating a conducive work environment to support continuous improvement of employee performance at the University of Semarang.

Abstract

The problem that arises is Budgetary slack in the DPUPR of Grobogan Regency for the past few years. This can occur allegedly due to social pressure and organizational culture that can influence Budgetary slack. Therefore, from the background above, the author wants to re-examine the influence of social pressure and organizational culture related to budget preparation that creates budget slack. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of social pressure and organizational culture related to budget preparation that creates budget slack with religiosity as a moderator. The population used in this study were all employees of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency of Grobogan Regency, totaling 86 people. The sample selection used purposive sampling. The sample used was 72 employees of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency of Grobogan Regency. The analysis tool used is the quantitative analysis method, namely structural equation modeling. Based on the results of the study, social pressure and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on Budgetary slack. Religiosity moderates the influence of social pressure and organizational culture on Budgetary slack.
