Abstract

The intent of this study is to measure and describe the mathematical representation ability of vocational high school students in solving geometry problems. Using a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach, this study evaluates three primary forms of representation: visual, symbolic, and verbal. The subjects were grade XI students at Vocational School 3 Pinrang, selected to represent different levels of visual-spatial intelligence to see how it affects their representational performance. Data was collected through mathematical representation tests and semi-structured interviews. The analysis followed the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that students' mathematical representation abilities vary significantly. High-capacity students can present geometric problems visually, interpret symbols, and construct mathematical models, although they still struggle with verbalizing conclusions. In contrast, students with low ability are primarily limited to basic image-based tasks. The results show that while visual-spatial intelligence correlates with better representational skills, overall proficiency in solving complex geometry tasks remains low across the subjects. This measurement provides a baseline for developing targeted instructional strategies in vocational geometry education.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi dan numerasi merupakan fondasi penting dalam pembelajaran abad ke-21. Berbagai laporan nasional dan internasional menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan numerasi peserta didik sekolah dasar di Indonesia masih relatif rendah, khususnya dalam memahami konsep matematika secara kontekstual. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi peserta didik melalui integrasi game edukatif digital dalam pembelajaran matematika di SD Inpres Panaikang. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi yang melibatkan guru dan peserta didik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar, keterlibatan aktif peserta didik, serta kemampuan numerasi dasar. Selain itu, guru mengalami peningkatan kompetensi dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi digital ke dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi baru berupa model pendampingan pembelajaran numerasi berbasis game edukatif yang kontekstual dan aplikatif di sekolah dasar wilayah perdesaan. Sebagai rekomendasi, kegiatan pengabdian selanjutnya disarankan untuk memperkuat dukungan infrastruktur teknologi serta menyelenggarakan pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi guru agar implementasi game edukatif dapat berlangsung secara optimal dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This systematic review aims to identify, categorize, and evaluate the effectiveness of GeoGebra-assisted instructional strategies reported in various published studies in developing mathematical communication skills among Indonesian high school students. Specifically, the review seeks to: (1) identify and categorize the types of GeoGebra-assisted instructional strategies employed by Indonesian teachers; (2) synthesize evidence regarding their effectiveness on students' mathematical communication skills; and (3) analyze implementation challenges and facilitating factors within the Indonesian educational context. Following the PRISMA framework, the study analyzed 20 empirical articles published between 2024 and 2025 which met the preset criteria. The use of Geogebra in the three predominant instructional strategies, such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PjBL), and Discovery Learning, could enhance students' visual, symbolic, and verbal communication skills. The synthesis reveals that GeoGebra's interactive features facilitate mathematical representation and discourse, though implementation faces challenges including infrastructural limitations and varying levels of teacher readiness. Facilitating factors include GeoGebra's accessibility, visual capabilities, and compatibility with collaborative learning approaches. The novelty of this review lies in its focused synthesis of implementation dynamics within the Indonesian context. Practical implications underscore the need for targeted professional development and institutional support to optimize GeoGebra integration. This study contributes an evidence-based framework to guide educators and policymakers in fostering effective, communication-oriented mathematics instruction.

Abstract

Rumah tangga merupakan penyumbang utama sampah organik yang berasal dari sisa dapur, kulit buah, dan sayuran, sehingga diperlukan upaya pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan untuk mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan sekaligus menghasilkan nilai tambah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan sampah organik rumah tangga menjadi ekoenzim serta mengkaji bentuk pengaplikasiannya dalam aspek kebersihan dan kesehatan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi proses pembuatan ekoenzim, wawancara dengan narasumber yang berpengalaman, dokumentasi kegiatan, serta telaah literatur yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembuatan ekoenzim dari sisa sayur dan buah dapat dilakukan dengan bahan dan prosedur yang sederhana, mudah diterapkan oleh masyarakat, serta berpotensi mengurangi volume sampah organik rumah tangga. Cairan ekoenzim yang dihasilkan dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif bahan pembersih dan perawatan kesehatan dengan memperhatikan dosis dan cara penggunaan yang aman. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa ekoenzim dapat menjadi solusi berbasis masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah organik yang ramah lingkungan dan aplikatif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
