Abstract

Management plays an important role in building the quality of an institution. especially schools, consequently, quality management is needed to achieve these goals. The reality in the field shows that management is a discourse that has not yet received serious attention. Therefore, this study aims to gain a deep perception of the Management of Schools in Islamic Vocational High Schools. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results of this study are classified into several steps. First, planning, Second, organizing, Third, mobilizing, Fourth, supervision. The results of the study indicate that in common the management of schools in Panglima Besar (PB)  Soedirman Islamic Vocational School Jakarta takes place following the management functions applied in schools, this can be observed from the curriculum planning process carried out comprehensively and based on Islamic principles. Organizing activities in student affairs by linking all study programs and cross committees, the good student progress, and comprehensive supervision covering all supporting elements as well as supervision involving various stakeholders using the religious-based management approach. The harmonious coordination of the scholarly community-based academic scheme in the four fields of expertise makes Panglima Besar Soedirman Islamic Vocational School Jakarta one of the references to a superior Islamic-based vocational school in the Jakarta community.

Abstract

Kontribusi teknologi digital dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia adalah subjek penelitian ini. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka dengan guru dan siswa dari berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Studi menunjukkan bahwa teknologi digital seperti sistem pengelolaan pembelajaran (LMS), platform pembelajaran online, dan aplikasi pendidikan telah meningkatkan akses, efektivitas pengajaran, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar. Namun, infrastruktur yang tidak merata, kesenjangan akses, dan literasi digital yang rendah masih menjadi masalah. Menurut penelitian ini, guru harus mendapatkan pelatihan digital yang lebih baik dan pemerintah harus membuat kebijakan yang mendukung pemerataan teknologi di dunia pendidikan.

Abstract

Global Insights for National Reform: A Comparative Review of Education Management in Finland, Japan, Singapore, and the United States. Objective: This study aims to analyze and compare the governance structures, curriculum models, teacher professionalism, learning strategies, assessment systems, and international achievements of education systems in Finland, Japan, Singapore, and the United States, and to derive strategic lessons relevant for improving the Indonesian education system. Methods: The research employs a qualitative comparative design based on a systematic literature review. The search strategy covered international databases (Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, ProQuest, and Google Scholar) and official sources (OECD, UNESCO, and BPS). From 734 initial documents, 30 high-quality sources were selected through a screening process, eligibility assessment, and critical appraisal using CASP and MMAT tools. Data extraction followed a structured template and was analyzed through thematic coding and comparative synthesis across six key dimensions: governance, curriculum, teacher quality, learning strategies, student evaluation, and international achievement. Findings: The analysis shows that the success of education systems in developed countries is supported by key principles: Finland emphasizes trust-based governance and phenomenal learning, Japan prioritizes teacher collaboration through lesson study and discipline, Singapore utilizes meritocracy and structured career paths for teachers, and the United States emphasizes curriculum flexibility and local innovation. Indonesia, despite implementing the Independent Curriculum and the Freedom to Learn policy, still faces challenges related to resource inequality, teacher competency, and the implementation of innovative learning. Conclusion/Contribution: The study concludes that Indonesia must invest in teacher capacity, equitable distribution, and formative evaluation while adopting international best practices that align with its socio-cultural realities. The contribution of this study lies in providing evidence-based, contextualized policy recommendations that integrate global insights into Indonesia’s path toward a more equitable, innovative, and sustainable education system.Keywords: education system, education management, comparative studies, Indonesian education reform.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis puzzle dengan metode jigsaw untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa dalam mematuhi tata tertib sekolah sekaligus memperbaiki hasil belajar pada materi Hak dan Kewajiban. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model Borg dan Gall, yang melibatkan proses perencanaan, pengembangan, validasi, hingga uji coba lapangan. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas tiga ahli validator (materi, media, dan pendidikan), seorang guru, serta 60 siswa sekolah dasar sebagai responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi, tes hasil belajar, dan observasi kedisiplinan. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media puzzle yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan, ditunjukkan dengan persentase kelayakan ahli materi sebesar 92%, ahli media 96%, ahli pendidikan 100%, penilaian guru 94,44%, dan penilaian siswa 90,10%. Uji efektivitas dengan paired sample t-test mengungkapkan perbedaan signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest pada variabel disiplin (t = -11,042; p < 0,05) maupun hasil belajar (t = -7,899; p < 0,05). Analisis normalized gain (N-Gain) menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kategori sedang, yaitu 0,486 untuk disiplin dan 0,313 untuk hasil belajar. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa media puzzle berbasis metode jigsaw tidak hanya valid dan layak, tetapi juga efektif sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran yang mampu memperkuat nilai karakter disiplin serta meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran PPKn. .
