Abstract

A vortex generator is an aerodynamic device installed on wings or other surfaces to enhance lift and delay stall at high angles of attack. This study aims to analyze the effect of vortex generator installation on the aerodynamic characteristics of a straight wing. Numerical simulations were conducted using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method on a three-dimensional wing model with a NACA 4412 airfoil section. Triangular vortex generators with heights of 10 mm and 20 mm were applied, while a clean wing without vortex generator was used as a reference. The wing was subjected to an airflow velocity of 50 m/s at several angles of attack. The main parameters observed were the lift coefficient (CL), drag coefficient (CD), and flow visualization around the wing surface. The simulation results show that the addition of a 10 mm vortex generator increases CL at higher angles of attack compared to the clean wing. In contrast, the installation of a 20 mm vortex generator primarily resulted in a higher CD and did not provide a positive contribution to lift performance. Overall, it could be concluded that  for this research configuration, the 10 mm vortex generator increase the aerodynamic performance of the wing.

Abstract

In a common rail diesel engine system, the entire fuel system is regulated electronically by a computer device called the ECU.  With this sensor manipulator tool, it is hoped that you will be able to change the output of the fuel pressure sensor to modify the ECU input. This makes it possible to change the power produced by the vehicle and reduce fuel consumption. This research is using experimental methods. The initial step is to take vehicle power test data under normal conditions, with the fuel pressure sensor output voltage at 1.28 V, reduced by 0.2 (1.08 volts), decreased by 0.1 (1.18 volts), increased by 0,1 (1.38 volts), and up 0.2 (1.48 volts). The results of this research show that the highest power at a speed of 80 km/h occurs at a voltage of 1.38 volts and 1.48 volts, with a power of 103 HP. Optimal fuel pressure produces good misting, ensures the mixture of fuel and air in the combustion chamber is homogeneous, and produces maximum power. The results of the fuel consumption test show that the lowest fuel consumption occurs at a vehicle speed of 40 km/hour with a fuel pressure sensor voltage of 1.38 volts, which is around 0.615 cc/second. It can be concluded that a voltage of 1.38 volts produces the most optimal fuel pressure. The throttle valve and pedal openings are still slightly open, so the amount of fuel entering the combustion chamber is also limited, so fuel consumption is very economical.

Abstract

One of the negative impacts of the development of digital technology is the weakening of authoritative facts and the increasing dominance of opinion in the public sphere. This situation strengthens the spread of religious disinformation in digital media, which has the potential to shift the authenticity of Islamic thought. Departing from this fact, this study seeks to analyze how da'wah communication strategies can function as a mechanism to counter religious disinformation in the post-truth context. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to articles or books published between 2016 and 2024. The data was obtained through a systematic search process in the Google Scholar database, books, and various research results. The literature selection was based on the following criteria: relevance to the theme of digital da'wah communication, media literacy, and post-truth studies; and publications that provide empirical findings or theoretical frameworks related to countering disinformation. The analysis results show three main findings: first, implementing effective digital da'wah communication practices in the post-truth era consistently utilizes the principle of ttabayyun as an information verification mechanism; second, increasing digital literacy among da'i and audiences has been proven to be a factor that directly reduces vulnerability to misinformation and disinformation; Third, creative, data-driven da'wah content that adheres to digital communication ethics has a higher level of reach and public trust. This third finding demonstrates that digital da'wah communication plays a crucial role as a social instrument for maintaining the integrity of religious information amidst the dominance of opinion in the post-truth era.

Abstract

Nabi Idris AS dikenal sebagai salah satu nabi yang memiliki keistimewaan dalam hal ilmu pengetahuan, ketekunan, dan spiritualitas. Dalam literatur Islam, beliau disebut sebagai sosok yang pertama kali memperkenalkan tulisan, menjahit pakaian, serta meneliti pergerakan bintang. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji keteladanan Nabi Idris AS dalam konteks dakwah, terutama terkait pentingnya ilmu dan amal dalam kehidupan seorang dai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi pustaka dengan analisis tafsir dan hadis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa metode dakwah Nabi Idris AS mengintegrasikan ilmu, amal, dan hikmah, sehingga dapat menjadi model dakwah ilmiah dan beradab di era modern.

Abstract

Peradaban Islam mengalami fondasi yang kuat sejak masa Khulafaur Rasyidin, yang meliputi Abu Bakar, Umar bin Khattab, Utsman bin Affan, dan Ali bin Abi Thalib. Kepemimpinan mereka tidak hanya bersifat administratif, tetapi juga menjadi teladan integrasi nilai spiritual, etika, hukum, dan kesejahteraan sosial. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan interdisipliner dengan metode kualitatif analisis literatur klasik dan kontemporer untuk mengeksplorasi praktik kepemimpinan, penerapan syariah, dan pembangunan masyarakat pada periode tersebut. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa struktur politik, sistem hukum, serta kebijakan sosial-ekonomi pada masa Khulafaur Rasyidin menekankan prinsip keadilan, kemaslahatan publik, dan pendidikan, yang relevan sebagai model pembangunan peradaban Islam kontemporer. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa nilai-nilai kepemimpinan, etika, dan integrasi hukum-spiritual tetap dapat dijadikan pedoman dalam menghadapi tantangan modernitas dan transformasi sosial-politik.

Abstract

James' teaching about faith has been downplayed for so many years. Since the concept of faith in the NT has been read mainly in light of Paul's theology, scholars ignores James? teaching on faith, which has different emphasis from Paul. Biblical scholars and theologians have tried to solve the tension between Paul's teaching about faith and James'. While historical approach applied to deal with this issue has lead NT scholarship to enless debate, this study proposes that the Letter of James was not sent to handle problems that occur because of Paul. This essay uses discourse analysis to understand how the the concept of faith in James 1 and 2 should be grasped. This work finds that James addresses his letter to pastoral believers? community and help them to understand sufferings in their lives. James emphasizes that faith is not only a confession but also a commitment to live in accordance with the true belief.

Abstract

The notion that "God is light" is essential to the understanding of the literary structure of 1 John because it links units of thought in the Epistle. This central idea and its ethical implications, "living in the light" and "living in love," develop throughout the letter. To understand the function of this concept and to grasp its meaning in 1 John, the present study utilizes discourse analysis to read the document in light of its micro and macro structures. Interpreting the "God is light" teaching in the Epistle-based on its literary structure-will shed some light on understanding the main issue addressed in 1 John.?

Abstract

In an industrial environment, Two-phase flows has many weaknesses, including pressure drop and void fraction. One strategy to reduce losses that arise is to use passive methods. The passive method used is to utilize the shape of the grooves in the channel. In this study, the flow is used to determine its effect on the pressure drop and void fraction that appears in two-phase flow. The experimental method was used for this study. The test pipe is equipped with 16 grooves, while the smooth pipe (without grooves) is used as a comparison. The test pipe is made of acrylic material. The water fluid is circulated using a centrifugal water pump with a superficial speed of 0.33-0.42 m/s. Air fluid is supplied using a compressor with superficial speeds of 0.049, 0.066, and 0.082 m/s. Measurement of pressure drop was carried out using a pressure transmitter with an Arduino data logger. The void fraction is calculated by determining the ratio of the volume fraction of water and air in the test tube. The results of the study revealed that the use of 16 grooves in the pipe can reduce the pressure drop and cavity fraction that appears when compared to smooth pipes.

Abstract

In this study, we discuss a case where the installation of a belt conveyor, which was initially only one line, was then made a new branch that supplies coal to other power generating units. Equitable capacity distribution and continuity of coal distribution are the main focus of this study. Therefore, an automatic control system of coal flow divider on belt conveyor installation was designed. The working principle of this coal flow splitting system is to control the movement of the straight blade plow that directs the flow of coal to each unit at a particular time and continuously. Straight blade plows in the form of steel metal plate with a thickness of about 10 mm in which one end is connected to the end of the pneumatic cylinder. The automatic control system of the coal flow divider in belt conveyor installation was designed using CX-Programmer and CX-Designer applications. CX-Programmer serves to create automatic control logic concepts. While the CX-designer functions to create a Human Machine Interface (HMI). The results of this study are in the form of control logic lines that can be applied to Programmable Logic Control (PLC) devices and Human Machine Interface (HMI) equipment.

Abstract

In this study, fatigue testing of fiber metal composites was carried out to determine the rate of crack propagation so that the age of the fiber metal composite specimen was known. The independent variable in this research is the angular orientation of the carbon fiber and the surface roughness of the aluminium with the dependent variable response is the bridge crack rate. The manufacture of fiber metal laminates specimens uses the Vacuum Assist Resin Infusion (VARI) method, which uses a vacuum pump as a means to flow the resin from the reservoir to the mold. Fatigue testing is performed using the stress amplitude method. That is, the value of the load when the tensile test is one third of the tensile strength. After the fatigue test was carried out, the results were obtained on specimens with an angular orientation of 0/90° fibers, the crack propagation rate slowed down with a cycle value of 90,000 in specimens with a surface roughness value of 2.128 µm then decreased cycles on specimens with a value of 2.887 µm, namely 11,000 cycles.
