Abstract

Aphasia, a complex communication disorder resulting from brain damage, causes difficulties in understanding and using language. The phenomenon of bilingual aphasia is challenging due to its complexity in understanding and rehabilitating language disorders. In the globalization era, the dual-speaking population's growth is increasing. However, our understanding of bilingual aphasia is still limited. Therefore, in-depth and systematic research is needed to guide bilingual aphasia's diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. This study used a rigorous literature review method, with a thematic search and analysis of relevant studies on bilingual aphasia. Symptom profiles, risk factors, pathophysiology, and rehabilitation strategies were comprehensively reviewed. The thematic analysis of the literature revealed diverse symptom profiles in individuals with bilingual aphasia and associated risk factors and pathophysiological mechanisms. In addition, this study examined effective rehabilitation strategies appropriate to the characteristics of bilingual aphasia. This research has important implications in neurolinguistics and aphasiology, improving the accuracy of diagnosis, development of appropriate interventions, and effective rehabilitation planning. The results make valuable contributions to clinical practitioners, researchers, and educators in providing better care and support for individuals with bilingual aphasia. In addition, this study also enriches our understanding of the complexity of language and the brain-language connection at large.

Abstract

Phoneme pronunciation disorder of the phoneme /r/ is one of the complex articulation problems and is often experienced by individuals across various age groups. This study aims to analyze the pronunciation disorder of the phoneme /r/ in 19-year-old individuals from a neurolinguistic perspective using a qualitative method. This case study utilizes direct observation and in-depth interviews as data collection techniques to understand articulation patterns, subjective experiences, and the factors influencing the disorder. The results show that the subject experienced distortion of the phoneme /r/, which appeared as a replacement with the phoneme /w/ or the loss of the /r/ sound in various word positions, especially in the initial and middle positions. Neurological activities that affect articulatory motor coordination play an important role in this disorder, further influenced by psychosocial factors such as social anxiety and environmental reactions. The subject also reported frustration and decreased self-confidence that impacted social interaction and motivation in therapy. These findings confirm the need for a therapeutic approach that integrates neurolinguistic stimulation and psychosocial support to improve the articulation function of the phoneme /r/. This study makes an important contribution to the development of neurolinguistic theory and speech therapy practice with a holistic approach that considers neurological, linguistic, and social aspects. Thus, the results of this study can serve as a basis for the development of more effective interventions to overcome /r/ phoneme pronunciation disorders in late adolescence.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Pertama, untuk mendeskripsikan fenomenologi Band Ruangbaca yang berupaya untuk mengampanyekan atau meningkatkan budaya literasi. Kedua, fenomena budaya literasi dalam kumpulan lirik lagu pada Album di Belantara Kata yang terdiri dari sebelas lagu oleh Ruangbaca. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik baca-catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) ada fenomena upaya mengampanyekan atau meningkatkan budaya literasi di masyarakat melalui lagu. 2) latar belakang terciptanya lirik lagu dalam Album di Belantara Kata sangat berpengaruh dengan upaya mereka meningkatkan minat literasi masyarakat dengan penggunaan kata perpustakaan, buku, manusia, dan hubungan diantara ketiganya.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat implementai penggunaan metode fonik dalam pembelajaran bahasa terutama membaca bagi anak autis, Memberikan pemahaman tentang konsep metode fonik sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran bahasa yang fokus pada hubungan antara fonem dan huruf atau grafem yang mewakilinya. Inovasi dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa terutama membaca bagi anak autis memang sangat di butuhkan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Keterlambatan membaca pada siswa autis merupakan gejala yang tidak dapat disepelekan. Proses membaca menjadi sangat penting, ketika siswa menerima informasi penting pada saat mereka akan duduk dibangku sekolah dasar di rumah autis Depok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Siklus sebanyak 3 siklus, yaitu prasiklus, siklus 1 dan siklus 2. Metode fonik digunakan pada siklus 1 dan 2. Responden merupakan siswa yang berada di Rumah autis Depok di kelas SKF A (usia 7 hingga 8 tahun). Sebanyak 7 anak menjadi responden. Pemilihan anak berdasarkan kemampuan membaca yang masih dibawah rata-rata. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kenaikan kemampuan membaca sebanyak 5 anak dengan perubahan Sebanyak 2 anak masih memerlukan bimbingan lebih lanjut. Terdapat kenaikan hasil membaca dari prasiklus ke siklus 2 sebanyak 6.62 poin. Siswa memelukan latihan membaca di rumah, dengan bantuan para orang tua, hal ini perlu dilakukan agar siswa mengingat kembali bunyi suara dari huruf ⁸yang sama. Kegiatan ini banyak membantu siswa lebih mengenal bunyi huruf yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran kuantitatif tentang persepsi mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, yang merupakan mata kuliah wajib di kurikulum perguruan tinggi. Data dikumpulkan melalui penggunaan kuesioner dengan skala Likert mengenai persepsi mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Selanjutnya, prospek dan hambatan penggunaan AI dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia didasarkan pada hasil deskriptif kuantitatif dari persepsi siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ChatGPT dianggap mudah digunakan untuk mengerjakan tugas, dapat memberikan informasi tambahan dan meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa, dapat memberikan jawaban yang tepat sehingga mahasiswa merasa puas dengan jawabannya, dan dapat meningkatkan dorongan dan keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dosen harus membatasi dan membantu mahasiswa agar alat bantu berbasis kecerdasan buatan membantu pembelajaran, bukan menghambatnya. Dosen diharapkan dapat berfungsi sebagai fasilitator dan meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berbasis proyek.

Abstract

This research examines the phenomenon of the decadence of language politeness by focusing on changes in politeness values ​​and the decline in communication ethics. This research is based on Brown and Levinson's theory of politeness which pays attention to the factors of social distance, social power, and threat ratings in communication, as well as anthroposociopragmatic theory to understand the influence of culture and social structure on language use. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through direct observation and analysis of student digital communication documents, especially via WhatsApp. Data analysis shows that there is a decline in politeness in language which is characterized by the use of less polite speech, both in daily communication between students and with lecturers. The research results show that the decadence of language politeness among cross-cultural students at Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi Malang is influenced by various factors, including environmental influences, social media, and a lack of understanding of language politeness norms in diverse socio-cultural contexts. This study emphasizes the importance of understanding intercultural communication, cultural identity, and social interaction in overcoming the decadence of language politeness, as well as the need to integrate material on language politeness in higher education to develop effective and polite student communicative competence.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the language skills of a child with multiple disabilities, particularly speaking and listening skills, and to explain language learning and its development in cognitive and psychomotor aspects through TikTok as a social media platform. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using observation and note-taking techniques. The research subject is Brandon Sahcio, an individual with multiple disabilities experiencing intellectual disability and speech delay. The data sources consist of videos depicting language learning activities and social interactions uploaded on the TikTok account @brandonsahcio. The findings indicate that Brandon’s language abilities have shown gradual development over time. Language learning conducted through repetitive and contextual practices, supported by the family environment, has proven effective in improving speaking and listening skills. Development is evident not only in verbal communication but also in nonverbal communication and social interaction abilities. These findings suggest that cognitive limitations and speech delay do not entirely hinder children with multiple disabilities from developing language skills when consistent and meaningful stimulation is provided. This study concludes that social media can function as an informal language learning space that supports the communication development of children with multiple disabilities.

Abstract

Learning media serve as tools to convey messages (learning material) in teaching and learning activities. Without the use of instructional media, the learning environment becomes monotonous, leading to a lack of focus and student interest in the material presented. This, in turn, affects student learning outcomes. This study was motivated by several problem findings, including frequent errors in constructing simple Mandarin sentences, lack of student attention during lessons, and low interest in Mandarin subjects. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of using wipe clean flash cards on students' ability to construct simple Mandarin sentences. This research is a pre-experimental study with a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of the entire population of class XI-10, with 18 female and 20 male students at SMA Negeri 1 Lamongan. The independent variables were the use of wipe clean flash cards and teaching implementation. The dependent variable was the ability to construct simple Mandarin sentences. Data were collected through observation, tests, and student response questionnaires. Instruments included observation sheets, test questions, and response questionnaires. Data were analysed using statistical techniques. The results showed a significant effect, with the average pretest score at 51.2 and posttest at 78.8. A t-test revealed a calculated t-value of 8.97, which exceeded the critical value of 1.69 at the 5% significance level (α = 0.05; df = 37), indicating that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. It can be concluded that the use of wipe clean flash cards significantly affects the ability to construct simple Mandarin sentences.

Abstract

Abstrak Artikel ini ditulis dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan pemahaman para siswa tentang hanzi, baik asal-usul atau sejarahnya, cara menulis hanzi baik tentang bentuk goresan, jumlah goresan, maupun urutan goresan hanzi; hasil latihan menulis hanzi, dan respon siswa terhadap pelatihan dan pendampingan menulis hanzi sederhana. Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik tes dan angket. Hasil tes berupa pelatihan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif, sedangkan hasil angket dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik persentase. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah (1) mitra penelitian, siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Sidoarjo memahami materi yang disampaikan Tim penelitian; (2) mitra penelitian mampu menulis Hanzi sesuai dengan urutan, jumlah, dan bentuk goresan; (3) mitra penelitian menyatakan latihan menulis Hanzi sangat bermanfaat bagi mereka.

Abstract

Abstrak Pendampingan pembelajaran dengan pembuatan media belajar berbasis daring dapat memberi solusi bagi para guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 28 Surabaya, khususnya tentang perencanaan media dan pembuatan media sesuai dengan langkah- langkah. Melalui pendampingan yang dilakukan tim PKM, para guru diharapkan memahami konsep pembelajaran daring, konsep media pembelajaran, dan mempraktikkan langkah-langkah memilih, menyiapkan, dan membuat media pembelajaran daring untuk kompetensi dasar tertentu yang telah dipilih oleh guru. Hasil yang dicapai oleh mitra penelitian berupa pemahaman konsep pembelajaran daring, konsep merancang media, menyiapkan media, dan membuat media pembelajaran daring. Hasil yang dicapai adalah mitra memiliki pemahaman konsep pembelajaran daring, konsep media pembelajaran, dan mampu membuat media pembelajaran daring.
