Abstract

The Independent Learning Curriculum Policy is an effort to transform education in Indonesia to produce graduates who have the Pancasila Student Profile. Independent learning gives schools, teachers and students the freedom to innovate and act in the teaching and learning process. Teachers are strongly advised to be creative in teaching and must side with the students to implement the independent learning. Differentiated learning is an effort to adapt the learning process in the classroom to have the learning needs of each individual. The implementation of differentiated learning needs to be carried out by following the principles in the Merdeka curriculum where learning is student-centered, and in accordance with interests and talents. The aim of implementing this service activity is to provide teachers with an understanding of differentiated learning in the Merdeka curriculum. This service activity was carried out at SMPS PARULIAN 1 Medan. The activity participants were the principal and teachers at the school. The form of activity is in the form of socialization by providing theory and preparing initial learning assessments as part of preparation for differentiated learning. The results of this service show that there is an increase in participants' understanding of differentiated learning which is in accordance with the principles of the Merdeka curriculum. Participants feel they understand differentiated learning which is oriented to students' interests and learning needs.

Abstract

Currently, the phenomenon of using Paylater services in Indonesia, especially among the younger generation, has become a major highlight in recent months, although it offers convenience, there are significant risks, especially the occurrence of "default", the impact of which can affect the stability of the economy, banking, and social society. The high number of defaults will disrupt economic stability, one of which is a decrease in purchasing power, in addition to the risk of inflation due to fines and interest on debt that are increasing and accumulating, creating a negative economic growth cycle. This banking sector situation is a serious challenge, with increasing non-performing loans so that they have bad credit status, it will thwart financial performance in business growth and investment, not to mention the additional operational costs to use the services of other parties in collection so that profitability decreases as well as public trust. Broadly speaking, if preventive measures are not taken, the younger generation who are caught in the default phase will experience financial decline, as a result they will experience emotional and mental stress so that negative social stigma will stick and ultimately will affect the creation of widespread and prolonged social injustice due to uncontrolled consumer behavior.

Abstract

Riset ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan fungsi pengawasan Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah (DPRD) terhadap pemerintah daerah sebelum dan sesudah reformasi konstitusi di Indonesia. Sebelum reformasi, fungsi DPRD lebih bersifat simbolik dan terbatas karena kuatnya dominasi pemerintah pusat sebagaimana diatur dalam Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 sebelum diamandemen. Namun, pasca reformasi, terjadi pergeseran signifikan dalam sistem ketatanegaraan, termasuk dalam hubungan antara DPRD dan pemerintah daerah. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan yuridis normatif serta analisis komparatif terhadap peraturan perundang-undangan sebelum dan setelah reformasi, penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa fungsi pengawasan DPRD telah berkembang dan diperkuat. Saat ini, DPRD memegang peranan penting dalam mengawasi kebijakan pemerintah daerah melalui pelaksanaan hak interpelasi, hak angket, dan hak menyatakan pendapat. Perubahan ini mencerminkan semangat demokratisasi dan desentralisasi pemerintahan daerah. Riset ini menyimpulkan bahwa Amandemen konstitusi telah membuka peluang yang lebih luas bagi DPRD untuk melaksanakan fungsi pengawasannya, yang bertujuan mendorong terciptanya akuntabilitas dan transparansi dalam pelaksanaan pemerintahan di tingkat daerah.

Abstract

Voter education is an important instrument in realizing a quality and sustainable democracy. Through the process of voter education socialization, it is hoped that the public can understand in depth their rights and obligations in the implementation of elections, as well as encourage active and responsible participation in the democratic process. Citizen participation in democratic social life must be based on adequate knowledge, critical reflection, and awareness of the rights and responsibilities as voters. A good understanding of the effectiveness of voter education socialization can shape a critical, rational, and independent attitude in exercising the right to vote, thereby strengthening the foundations of a clean and integrity-based democracy. This community service was carried out in the Selogiri District, Wonogiri Regency, with the aim of providing political education to the public regarding the importance of participation in the 2024 simultaneous regional head elections. Through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the community was actively involved as subjects in the activity process, not just as objects receiving information. Community service activities are carried out by integrating outreach into various village events, aimed at attracting residents to attend, interact, and directly discuss local political issues and forms of participation in the regional elections. Through these activities, it is hoped that the community will have a more comprehensive understanding of the importance of their role in determining the direction of regional policy through the regional elections. This education is also expected to raise awareness to vote based on conscience, without intervention or negative influences such as money politics, which has been a major challenge in every election at both the central and regional levels.

Abstract

Saat ini, kita semua tidak dapat membantah fakta bahwa di era digital saat ini, Media Sosial telah menjadi bagian yang tidak dapat dipisahakan dari kehidupan anak dan remaja. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada data yang berasal dari Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia (APJII) di tahun 2024, yaitu persentase orang yang berselancar di dunia maya, mayoritas adalah Gen Z (kelahiran 1997-2012), yaitu sebanyak 34,40%. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan edukasi pada Siswa SMP Swasta Tenera dan membentuk pemahaman mereka agar dapat dengan bijak menggunakan sosial media, denga harapan mereka dapat terhindar dari potensi kejahatan siber dan penyimpangan perilaku sejak dini. SMP Swasta Tenera dipilih menjadi tempat pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM dengan alasan bahwa dalam masa MPLS, para siswa baru perlu mendapatkan pemahaman kembali tentang dampak buruk yang terjadi ketika menggunakan media sosial secara berlebihan. Hasil dan kesimpulan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM adalah para siswa/i mendapatkan pemahaman yang utuh untuk lebih bijak dalam menggunakan media sosial agar terhindar dari potensi menjadi korban dari kejahatan siber atau Cyber Crime dan penyimpangan perilaku sejak dini, dengan upaya bijak menggunakan sosial media tersebut adalah jaga privasi dan keamanan akun, pikirkan sebelum memposting, membatasi waktu penggunaan media sosial, berpikir, bersikap positif, dan menghormati orang lain dalam ruang digital dan media sosial, verifikasi informasi sebelum membagikan. Berdasarkan hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM, Tim memberikan rekomendasi, yaitu kegiatan sejenis perlu diinsersi ke dalam mata pelajaran di sekolah agar edukasi bijak menggunakan sosial media bagi anak dan remaja dapat dilakukan secara berkala sehingga dapat berdampak masif dan positif bagi pemahaman dan/atau peningkatan pemahaman anak dan remaja untuk menggunakan media sosial dan internet dengan bijak.

Abstract

This community service program was designed to strengthen the competitive value of coffee bean processing through a combination of practical field training and structured mentoring for rural communities. The activity took place on June 29, 2025, in Motung Village, Ajibata District, Toba Regency, and involved 20 local participants representing farming households. The implementation model emphasized a participatory and hands-on approach, where participants were directly engaged in coffee bean processing techniques under the guidance of academic experts and field mentors. This initiative was a collaborative effort between Universitas Murni Teguh PSDKU Pematangsiantar, Politeknik Bisnis Indonesia, and the Farmer and Fishermen Association (KTNA) Pematangsiantar. The program’s primary objectives were to enhance local community skills in post-harvest coffee processing, to raise product quality standards, and to generate added value that would enable rural producers to compete in wider markets. Through structured mentoring, participants received continuous assistance that ensured they could apply the acquired knowledge and skills independently after the training activities concluded. The results demonstrated significant improvements in participants’ understanding and technical capacity, particularly in the areas of sorting, drying, roasting, and packaging coffee beans. These competencies allowed the local community to produce higher-quality coffee products that meet market expectations and enhance competitiveness. Furthermore, the program strengthened the link between academic knowledge, practical field skills, and local wisdom, which together form the foundation for sustainable rural empowerment. By improving coffee bean processing capacity, the initiative is expected to increase household income, foster an entrepreneurial spirit, and support the long-term development of Toba’s rural economy. In this way, the program not only equips the community with technical expertise but also contributes to broader goals of economic sustainability and social resilience in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to explore in depth the role of social media in strengthening the national identity of students in the Pematangsiantar City campus environment. National identity is seen as an important aspect in shaping the national consciousness of the younger generation, especially students who are in a critical phase of intellectual and social development. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of students from various universities in Pematangsiantar City. The results show that students actively use social media to access, produce, and share content related to local culture, national history, national figures, and national issues relevant to their daily lives. Social media functions not only as a means of communication, but also as a space for expression and creativity that allows students to build national narratives independently, critically, and innovatively. The discussion emphasizes that amidst the rapid flow of globalization and the penetration of foreign cultures, social media plays a strategic role in maintaining national values, provided its use is directed in a reflective, educational, and responsible manner. In addition, social media has the potential to expand the reach of the dissemination of nationalist values in a more engaging way and in accordance with the communication style of the younger generation. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that social media can be an effective tool in shaping and strengthening national consciousness among students. This impact is long-term, contributing to character formation, national loyalty, and strengthening students' role as agents of change in maintaining national unity and integrity.

Abstract

Bullying remains a serious problem in many schools in Indonesia. In general, data from the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), released in 2021, indicates that approximately 30% of students have experienced bullying at school. The prevalence of bullying tends to make children who are victims feel afraid, isolated, and stressed, which negatively impacts their mental health and academic performance. Bullying cases in schools in Indonesia are quite concerning. The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) recorded 17 cases of physical violence in 2021, resulting in six student deaths and one paralysis. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to educate the academic community of Muhammadiyah 55 Kandangan Private Middle School so they understand the dangers of bullying and understand character education from an early age as a way to prevent bullying in and outside of school. The results obtained through the implementation of the PkM activity are that the students of Muhammadiyah 55 Kandangan Private Middle School have a better understanding of the meaning, types, and dangers of Bullying, as well as character education efforts as the best way to reduce and prevent Bullying at school and outside of school. The school and the PkM Team have almost the same views and suggestions, namely that there is a need for further activities in other forms, for example a Workshop within the framework of the Anti -Bullying School strengthening project

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh disiplin belajar dan perhatian orang tua terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan populasi 355 siswa dan sampel sebanyak 89 orang yang ditentukan melalui teknik sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket untuk mengukur disiplin belajar serta perhatian orang tua, dan data hasil belajar diperoleh dari nilai Ujian Tengah Semester ganjil. Analisis data dilakukan dengan regresi linier sederhana dan berganda, serta uji t dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh signifikan disiplin belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan tingkat pengaruh yang sangat kuat (r = 1,65); (2) terdapat pengaruh signifikan perhatian orang tua terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan pengaruh yang sangat kuat (r = 2,24); dan (3) secara simultan, disiplin belajar dan perhatian orang tua berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan pengaruh kuat (r = 1,14) dan Fhitung (2,43) > Ftabel (2,22). Dengan demikian, semakin baik disiplin belajar siswa dan perhatian orang tua, semakin tinggi pula hasil belajar yang dicapai.

Abstract

Indonesia as a constitutional state, as well as a modern state, has a clear characteristic, namely that it clearly states the regulation of human rights in its constitution, the 1945 Constitution. Article 28H paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution states that "everyone has the right to a good and healthy environment". As a response to the needs and human rights for a good and healthy environment in the constitution, the Indonesian government established Law Number 26 of 2007 concerning Spatial Planning as a legal instrument for spatial planning throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. One of the essential things regulated in this law can be seen in article 29 paragraph (3), namely the proportion of public green open spaces in a city area of at least 20 percent of the city area. The problems in this paper: first, how is the Effectiveness of the Fulfillment of Human Rights on a Good and Healthy Environment in the Spatial Planning Perspective in Pematangsiantar, and Second: the Factors Affecting the Effectiveness of the Fulfillment of Human Rights on a Good and Healthy Environment in the Perspective of Spatial Planning in Pematangsiantar. The research method used to answer the problems in this paper is the Normative Legal Research Method with a Literature Study-Based Conceptual Approach. The answer of paper problems is that the fulfillment of human rights for a good and healthy environment in the perspective of spatial planning in Pematangsiantar has not been effective with the influencing factors being the rule of law, apparatus, facilities, society, and culture. The conclusion drawn from the answers to this paper is that Fulfillment of human rights for a good and healthy environment in the perspective of spatial planning in Pematangsiantar has not been effective with several logical arguments. Factors Influencing the Effectiveness of the Fulfillment of Human Rights for a Good and Healthy Environment in the Perspective of Spatial Planning in Pematangsiantar can be seen from the aspects of the rule of law or legal substance, legal apparatus or legal structure, facilities, and legal culture or society.
