Abstract

ABSTRAK Program revitalisasi perkebunan tebu meliputi bagian pabrik dan lahan. Revitalisasi di lahan salah satunya adalah perbaikan kualitas tanah melalui perbaikan pH tanah dan bahan organik tanah. Tujuan penelitian yaitu menganalisis sebaran pH tanah, bahan organik, kapasitas tukar kation sebagai dasar rekomendasi pemberian bahan organik, dan dolomit di lahan tebu. Kegiatan penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Semboro, Kabupaten Jember pada bulan Agustus sampai Desember 2020, dengan tiga tahap kegiatan.  Tahap pertama adalah menentukan titik pengambilan sampel dengan melakukan analisis overlay peta iklim, peta tanah, dan peta topografi. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengambilan sampel pada titik-titik yang telah ditentukan, dan analisis pH tanah dengan metode gravimetri, C-Organik tanah dengan metode walkey and Black, kapasitas pertukaran kation (KPK) tanah dengan metode ekstrak ammonium asetat pH 7. Hasil analisis digunakan untuk menetapkan rekomendasi penambahan bahan organik dan dolomit pada lahan tebu.  Rekomendasi penambahan bahan organik dengan dosis < 1 ton/ ha seluas 3227,61 ha; dosis 1,0-2,17 ton/ha seluas 1246,81 ha; dan dosis > 2,17 ton/ha seluas 280,86 ha.  Rekomendasi kebutuhan pupuk untuk dolomit dengan dosis < 1 ton/ha seluas 3134,89 ha; dosis 1,0-1,5 ton/ha seluas 1458,38 ha; sdosis > 1,5 ton/ha seluas 162,01 ha.ABSTRACT Map of Soil pH Distribution, Soil Organic Matter, and Cation Exchange Capacity as the Basic Recommendations for Application of Organic Materials and Dolomite in Sugarcane Lands The sugarcane plantation revitalization program includes part of the factory and land. One of the ways to revitalize land is to improve soil quality through improving soil pH and soil organik matter. The research objective was to analyze the distribution of soil pH, organik matter, cation exchange capacity as the basis for recommendations for providing organik matter, and dolomite in sugarcane fields. This research activity was carried out in Semboro District, Jember Regency from August to December 2020, with three stages of activity. The first stage is to determine the sampling point by analyzing the climate map overlay, soil map, and topographic map. Furthermore, sampling was carried out at predetermined points, and analysis of soil pH using the gravimetric method, soil C-organik using the Walkey and Black method, soil cation exchange capacity (KPK) using the ammonium acetate extract pH 7 recommendations for the addition of organik matter and dolomite to sugarcane fields. Recommendations for adding organik matter at a dose <1 ton / ha covering an area of 3227.61 ha; doses of 1.0-2.17 tonnes / ha covering an area of 1246.81 ha; and dosages> 2.17 tonnes / ha covering an area of 280.86 ha. Recommended fertilizer requirements for dolomite with a dose of <1 ton / ha covering an area of 3134.89 ha; doses of 1.0-1.5 tonnes / ha covering 1458.38 ha; dosage> 1.5 tons / ha covering an area of 162.01 ha.

Abstract

Sukamakmur Village is a village located in Ajung District, Jember Regency with residents making a living as farmers and cultivating freshwater fish. The location of Sukamakmur Village is very prospective for freshwater fish cultivation because of its strategic location in getting water, and the type of fish being cultivated is catfish. In the last period, most of the people who cultivate catfish have gone out of business due to increasing feed prices while the selling value of catfish is unable to cover. The purpose of this community service program is to increase the standard of living and welfare of the people of Sukamakmur Village through the cultivation of freshwater crayfish as a substitute for catfish commodities. The method used for service program activities is through socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation approaches. The results of the activity show that the community is enthusiastic in implementing freshwater crayfish cultivation because the cultivation method is very easy and requires low costs. Another result obtained is that the community can start new businesses, especially those that have gone out of business due to catfish cultivation so that they can bounce back in increasing their income

Abstract

The use of high inorganic fertilizers in conventional agriculture can affect soil fertility. Efforts to improve land fertility in order to increase land productivity and at the same time increase farmers' income require integrated and sustainable agricultural business development technology. Biochar applied to paddy fields is able to increase organic carbon which can provide nutrients for organisms in the soil that will provide nutrients for plants. Sengon waste in Slateng Village is abundant and has not been utilized, while most of the livelihoods of the Slateng Village residents are farmers. This activity aims to provide training to members of the Harapan Farmers Group and the local Mosque Youth to be able to process sengon waste into biochar. This activity is carried out in several stages, namely socialization and practice. The result of this activity is that participants gain knowledge about processing sengon waste and produce biochar fertilizer that is ready to be applied.

Abstract

SMKN 4 adalah sekolah kejuruan di kabupaten Bondowoso, bidang keahlian untuk siswa yaitu Agribisnis-Agroteknologi. Keahlian Agribisnis-Agroteknologi, menuntut laboratorium yang baik, siswa mempunyai skill kerja praktis di lapang, serta kemampuan mengembangkan sumberdaya alam terutama pengendali patogen tanah. Permasalahan di tempat tersebut penataan laboratorium, dan kegiatan praktek dilapang masih kurang, serta pemahaman potensi pengembangan pengendali hama uret belum ada. Oleh sebab itu, penting dilakukan upaya untuk meningkatka skill siswa. Peningkatan skill dan wawasan dilakukan dengan kegiatan pelatihan yaitu : 1). melaksanakan koordinasi dengan mitra, 2). menghimpun dan membuat materi pelatihan, 3). Sosialisasi tentang manajemen laboratorium sesuai SNI 17025, 4). pelatihan pembuatan intruksi kerja laboatorium sesuai SNI 17025: 2017, 5). Pelatihan Good Laboratiry Practice (GLP), 6). Sosialisasi Pengamatan Kesuburan Tanah secara cepat, 7). Pelatihan Pengamatan Kesuburan Tanah Untuk Tanaman, 8). Sosialisasi Hama Lepidiota stigma Pada Tanaman Tebu, 9). Pelatihan Pembuatan Jamur Metharizium Untuk Pengendali Hama Lepidiota stigma, 10). Pelatihan Packaging Jamur Metharizium. Hasil yang didapat dari pelatihan tersebut, yaitu nilai positif dari siswa tentang pengetahuan dan wawasan baru yang terkait dengan manajemen laboratorium, penentuan kesuburan tanah secara cepat di lapang, dan pembuatan jamur Metharizium sebagai pengendalian hama uret (Lepidiota stigma).

Abstract

ABSTRAKKelompok Tani Harapan terdapat di Desa Slateng, Kecamatan Ledokombo memiliki anggota kelompok 25-30 anggota dengan luas lahan 15-30 hektar dan tiap kelompok memiliki luas lahan bervariasi mulai dari 0,5 hektar sampai lebih dari 1 hektar. Komoditas tanaman yang dibudidayakan neliputi tanaman padi yang ditanam mendekati musim hujan bulan Agustus-September. Selain itu ada pula tanaman kedelai, cabai, dan tembakau. Potensi limbah yang dihasilkan dari tiap komoditas tanaman di Kelompok Tani Harapan tiap selesai panen melimpah dan sebagian belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik. Adapun permasalahan lainnya yaitu serangan hama dan penyakit selama kegiatan budidaya. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut tim pengusul melalui program hibah DRTPM berinisiatif untuk memberikan penyuluhan terkait pemanfaatan limbah sebagai pestisida nabati. Manfaat kegiatan agar masyarakat khususnya di wilayah Slateng dapat memanfaatkan limbah pertanian yang mempu mendukung kelestarian lingkungan melalui program Eco Farming dengan memanfaatkan limbah pertanian menjadi pestisida nabati. Kata kunci: biopestisida; penyuluhan; eco farming; kelompok tani ABSTRACTHarapan Tani Group located in the Slateng Village, Ledokombo Sub-district, has a group of 25-30 members with a land area of 15-30 hectares and each group has a land area varying from 0.5 hectares to more than 1 hectare. Cultivated crop commodities include rice which is planted near the rainy season in August-September. In addition, there are also soybean, chili, and tobacco plants. The potential for waste generated from each crop commodity in farmer groups is expected to be abundant after each harvest and some are not yet utilized properly. The other problem is pest and disease attack during cultivated. Based on these problems, the proposing team through the DRTPM grant program took the initiative to provide counseling related to the use of waste as vegetable pesticides. The benefit of the activity is that the community, especially in the Slateng area, can utilize agricultural waste that is able to support environmental sustainability through the Eco Farming program by utilizing agricultural waste into vegetable pesticides. Keywords: biopesticide; counseling; eco farming; farmer group

Abstract

ABSTRAKPelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik perlu terus digiatkan, sehubungan dengan makin terbatasnya pupuk anorganik bersubsidi. Petani umumnya sangat bergantung pada pupuk anorganik. Sebagian besar mata pencaharian warga di Desa Rowosari Kecamatan Sumberjambe Kabupaten Jember ialah petani. Kelompok tani Bintang Tani merupakan salah satu Poktan di Rowosari yang memiliki permasalahan diantaranya belum mampu mengolah limbah ternak sapi dengan tepat, dan belum memahami terkait pemilihan varietas padi unggul yang sesuai untuk dikembangkan di Rowosari. Tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian ini ialah untuk mensosialisasikan manfaat pupuk organik bagi tanah dan tanaman, serta pendampingan pembuatan pupuk organik petrokatul, dan sosialisasi varietas padi unggul spesifik lokasi. Petrokatul merupakan pupuk organik dengan tambahan bekatul. Petrokatul memiliki kandungan unsur hara yang lebih kaya dari pada pupuk organik lainnya. Banyaknya warga Rowosari yang memiliki hewan ternak merupakan potensi untuk dapat mendayagunakan limbah ternak yang ada menjadi pupuk Petrokatul. Penerapan pupuk organik ke lahan dan penggunaan varietas padi unggul ( Impari 32, Ciherang, Sintanur) yang sesuai lokasi merupakan upaya untuk dapat meningkatkan produksi padi yang dibudidayakan. Dari kegiatan pengabdian ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta dan menambah keterampilan peserta dalam pembuatan pupuk organik Petrokatul. Kata kunci: pupuk organik; petrokatul; varietas unggul; padi; pertanian terpadu ABSTRACTTraining on making organic fertilizers needs to be intensified, considering that subsidies for inorganic fertilizers are increasingly limited. Farmers generally rely heavily on inorganic fertilizers. Most of the people's livelihoods in Rowosari Village, Sumberjambe District, Jember Regency are farmers. The Bintang Tani Farmer Group is one of the groups in Rowosari that has problems, including not being able to process livestock waste properly, and not understanding the selection of superior rice varieties that are suitable for development in Rowosari. The purpose of this service is to socialize the benefits of organic fertilizer for soil and plants, as well as assistance in the manufacture of organic petrokatul fertilizer, and socialization of location-specific superior varieties of rice. Petrokatul is an organic fertilizer with the addition of rice bran. Petrokatul contains richer nutrients than other organic fertilizers. The number of Rowosari residents who own livestock has the potential to be able to utilize existing livestock waste into Petrokatul fertilizer. The application of organic fertilizer to the land and the use of superior rice varieties ( Impari 32, Ciherang, Sintanur) according to the location is an effort to increase the production of cultivated rice. Abstract

Indonesia's population in 2021 will increase by 0.92% from 2020. The increasing population demands the fulfillment of food. Land changes and their consequences indicate land damage. The purpose of the study was to assess the soil damage potential index (SDPI) on the slopes of Mount Argopura through terrain analysis and the use of geographic information system technology. The research was carried out on the slopes of Mount Argopura in 2022. The tools used included a clinometer, a GPS, spectrophotometer, AAS, arc GIS 13 and minitab. The materials included administrative maps, soil maps, slope maps, RBI maps, land use maps, rainfall maps. This research is descriptive exploratory with field survey method. The activity is divided into 3 stages, namely pre-survey, field survey, and post-survey. Research parameters include texture, soil thickness, soil type, soil pH, CEC, base saturation, soil drainage, parent material, landform, relief, rainfall, and land use. Based on the results of the study, the SDPI with an area of 22,148.75 ha was in the heavy category 44.12% (9772.28 ha), the medium category was 53.11% (11762.84 ha), and the light category was 2.77% (613.63 ha). Keywords:  Geographic Information System, Land Degradation, Mount Argopura, Soil Damage

Abstract

Chilli (Capsicum annum L.) is a horticulture comodities that high demand because it has a high economic value. The demand of Chilli increase every year as the population grows and the industry grows which requires Chilli as raw materials. The productivity of red chili in Jember Regency is also low, which is only 87.68 quintals hectare-1. Fluctuations in red chili production that occurred in the Jember area were caused by several things including an unsupportive environment such as declining soil fertility, high pest attacks, and excessive use of pesticides. Therefore there is a need for agricultural development in order to be able to meet food needs and increase export opportunities to neighboring countries. The parameters observed in this study were secondary data from the soil unit map. The secondary data referred to are soil drainage, soil depth in cm, slope related to erosion, altitude, standing water, soil cation exchange capacity, and soil pH. The improvement efforts made to improve the land suitability class is by setting the spacing, giving organic matter, agricultural lime, P fertilization, cutting and filling the land with a mound terrace system or bench terrace to reduce soil erosion.

Abstract

Organic fertilizer is one of the vital elements in the cycle of sustainable agricultural development, therefore the purpose of this research is to formulate a strategy for building an organic fertilizer factory based on manure of beef cattle in Jember District. The research location is Tempurejo Sub District which is one of the locations for the building an organic fertilizer factory in Jember District. The research was conducted by quantitative descriptive method. Data was collected  using desk research, observation, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and surveys using questionnaires. This study involved 32 key respondents in the effort to build an organic fertilizer factory in Jember District. The research data was analyzed using IFAS, EFAS, and SWOT analysis approaches. The results showed that the strength factor has a weight of 0.512 and the weakness factor has a weight of 0.488, while the opportunity factor is 0.485 and the threat factor has a weight of 0.515. The conclusion of the research was that the building an organic fertilizer factory in Jember District was carried out with an SO (strength and opportunity) strategy, which means supporting an aggressive growth policy (growth oriented strategy).

Abstract

ABSTRAKDesa Klabang, Bondowoso memiliki potensi untuk dapat menjadi desa sentra ternak pembibitan sapi potong lokal. Peningkatan produktivitas dalam menunjang penguatan pembibitan sapi potong lokal salah satunya dengan mengoptimalkan faktor lingkungan yaitu pakan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh para peternak yaitu pemeliharaan yang masih dilakukan secara tradisional, keterbatasan ketersediaan pakan utamanya pada musim kemarau dan kualitas hijauan pakan yang masih rendah. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan dalam penyediaan pakan yang berkualitas dengan kuantitas yang cukup sepanjang tahun adalah introduksi hijauan unggul yang bisa tumbuh dengan baik sepanjang musim. Tujuan pengabdian ini yaitu meningkatkan kemandirian peternak dalam memproduksi hijauan unggul untuk mendukung penguatan pembibitan sapi potong lokal di Desa Klabang, Jember. Mitra dalam kegiatan program pengabdian desa binaan ini yaitu masyarakat Desa Klabang, Kecamatan Tegalampel, Kabupaten Bondowoso. Metode yang digunakan dalam program ini yaitu penyuluhan dan penanaman berbagai macam hijauan pakan ternak yang diadopsi yaitu rumput setaria, rumput pakcong, rumput Guatemala, rumput odot dan Indigofera sp, pendampingan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil dari program pengabdian ini yaitu peternak memiliki hijauan unggul yang dapat dikembangbiakkan dan dapat digunakan sebagai pakan berkualitas untuk ternak pembibitan dengan kuantitas yang mencukupi sepanjang tahun. Peternak desa Klabang selaku mitra program pengabdian ini telah melaksanakan dan menerapkan adopsi hijauan unggul yang telah diberikan dan berusaha untuk selalu kontinu dalam mengembangkan hijauan pakan ternak sebagai upaya meningkatkan produktivitas ternak dan keberlanjutan program. Kata kunci: introduksi; hijauan; desa klabang. ABSTRACTKlabang Village, Bondowoso has the potential to become a beef cattle breeding center. Optimizing environmental factors, such as feed, is one strategy to raise productivity in support of local beef cattle breeding. Farmers' concerns include conventional management, limited feed supply, especially during the dry season, and low pasture quality. The introduction of excellent forage that can grow well throughout the season is one effort that could be made in providing quality feed in sufficient quantities throughout the year. This program aims to improve farmers' independence in producing excellent feed in Klabang Village, Jember, to assist the strengthening of local beef cattle breeding. The farmers of Klabang Village, Tegalampel District, Bondowoso Regency, are partners in this community service program. Counseling, planting several types of forages, such as Setaria grass, Pakchong grass, Guatemala grass, Odot grass, and Indigofera sp, mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation are the strategies adopted in this program. The result of this service program is that breeders have superior forage that can be bred and can be used as quality feed for breeding livestock in sufficient quantity throughout the year. Klabang village farmers as partners of this service program have implemented and implemented the adoption of superior forage that has been given and strives to always be continuous in developing forage as an effort to increase livestock productivity and program sustainability. Keywords: introduction; forages; klabang village.
