Abstract

The problem faced by business owners is that the promotion carried out by Kedai De Vijas Kopi has not yet been evenly distributed. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to provide solutions to the existing problems. The method used includes providing guidance on cafe management, offering training to the head barista, and creating a website to enhance the brand image of the cafe. Therefore, MSME operators need to be trained on developing their businesses by promoting Kedai De Vijas through a Linktree website for Instagram, TikTok, and location promotion, so that the marketing system becomes better, expanding the business's target reach and supporting better sales activities.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini mengajak para pelaku Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) yang bergerak dalam bidang usaha kuliner milik mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. UMKM yang menjadi Mitra Pengabdian Masyakat saat ini memiliki permasalahan dalam hal kegiatan pemasarannya yang masih sangat konvensional. Karena hal tersebut, UMKM ini sangat perlu pelatihan dan pendampingan tentang pentingnya pemanfaatan branding produk dan digital marketing untuk memperbaiki pemasaran produk sehingga menjadi lebih baik dapat meningkatkan nilai jual yang lebih baik. Selain itu, pada kegiatan ini UMKM juga dibantu dalam membuat akun bisnis melalui platform Instagram, beserta dengan cara mengelola media digital tersebut secara optimal. Ada 4 tahapan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, yaitu perencanaan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan branding produk dan digital marketing menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai pentingnya branding produk dan digital marketing terhadap UMKM, serta meningkatnya jumlah pengikut atau follower instagram meningkat dari 0 sampai dengan 25 pengikut.

Abstract

This scientific article explores the communication patterns within the Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) group in Dusun Tlocor, Sidoarjo District, which was formed by the local government to develop tourism potential, particularly the emerging Pulau Lusi (Lumpur Sidoarjo). Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data was collected through informant interviews. The study reveals that the communication pattern within Pokdarwis exhibits a linear or continuous/chain communication style. The findings shed light on the dynamics of communication strategies employed by the group, enabling a deeper understanding of their efforts in developing tourism. These insights hold implications for fostering community participation and maximizing the economic benefits of tourism in the region. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the adolescent reception of beauty vlogger Tasya Farasya as a promotional medium for Wardah cosmetic brand through her YouTube video titled "Simple Makeup Tutorial for Beginners! Also, Wardah Colorfit Series Review." Employing a qualitative approach with Stuart Hall's decoding-encoding model, data collection involved in-depth interviews and observation using purposive sampling. The analysis revealed that 8 informants positioned themselves in a dominant hegemonic stance, while 2 informants engaged in negotiation. All informants acknowledged Tasya Farasya's provision of clear and educational information about Wardah products, capturing the attention of a substantial audience. This study contributes valuable insights into the dynamics of beauty vlogger influence on youth, emphasizing the informative and engaging aspects of Tasya Farasya's content. Highlights : Influential Content Creator: Tasya Farasya emerges as a significant influencer, impacting the perceptions of youth towards beauty products and brands. Educational and Engaging: The study underscores Tasya Farasya's role in providing clear and educational information about Wardah cosmetics, contributing to an engaging viewer experience. Abstract

This research aims to describe and elucidate the influence of motivation and lifestyle on purchasing decisions through TikTok Shop. Employing a quantitative approach, the study utilized statistical techniques to examine the relationship between two independent variables (X) and the dependent variable (Y). The research focused on production employees in a selected area, with 90 respondents sampled through purposive sampling. Data collection involved the distribution of questionnaires through Google Forms, and the analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression in SPSS 18.0. The results reveal a significant simultaneous influence of motivation and lifestyle on purchasing decisions through TikTok Shop, supported by a partial impact indicated by the t-test. The correlation coefficient of 0.844 signifies a strong positive relationship between the independent and dependent variables. This study contributes to the understanding of consumer behavior in the context of social commerce platforms like TikTok Shop, offering valuable insights for marketers and researchers alike. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the reception of high school students towards the Ruangguru application as an online learning medium. Utilizing a qualitative approach, data collection involved in-depth interviews, observations, and a review of relevant literature, engaging students as participants. The purposive sampling technique determined informants. The findings reveal a hegemonic-dominant position held by 2 informants, indicating their satisfaction with the application, while 8 informants negotiate their position, recognizing the innovative nature of animated content delivery as a solution to monotony. This study sheds light on the diverse perceptions among students, emphasizing the need for adaptive features in online learning platforms. Highlights : The study investigates high school students' perceptions of the Ruangguru application as an online learning medium. Qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews and observations, provide insights into students' experiences with the application. Findings highlight a diversity of responses, with some students endorsing the application's suitability while others negotiate its innovative features as a remedy for boredom. Abstract

This research aims to shed light on user reception of the online dating application Tinder as a medium for self-disclosure, prompted by the surge in criminal activities and sexual violence incidents experienced by some users who readily engage with strangers in the virtual realm of social media dating. Employing qualitative research methods and Stuart Hall's encoding-decoding model, the study utilized in-depth interviews and purposive sampling for data collection. The qualitative analysis revealed three informants in a dominant position, two in opposition, and all informants engaged in negotiation. Key findings highlight user interest in Tinder's visually appealing features, including logos, colors, and messaging, along with a focus on the provided security measures and privacy policies. Notably, informants expressed reluctance to disclose personal information, deeming Tinder susceptible to criminal activities and sexual harassment. This study contributes valuable insights for enhancing the safety and user experience within online dating platforms. Abstract

Instagram menjadi salah satu platform yang banyak digunakan dalam kegiatan promosi. Permasalahan utama yang dialami oleh UMKM Semir Ban Tidar Silicon dan NMAX CarWash ini adalah belum memiliki akun Instagram untuk mempromosikan produk jualannya. Sehingga, target market yang dituju belum menyebar ke seluruh Indonesia. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini  yaitu untuk membantu membuatkan akun Instagram agar bisa mempromosikan produk UMKM melalui katalog online di sosial media. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu ada beberapa tahap diantaranya tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap pengawasan, dan juga tahap evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini kedua UMKM sudah memiliki akun media sosial Instagram yang dilengkapi dengan postingan katalog online. Akun Instagram @semirban_silicon sudah memiliki 31 pengikut dan akun Instagram @nmax.carwash masih memiliki 6 pengikut. Analisis data untuk kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini hanya diambil melalui insight Instagram dari akun @nmax.carwash dan @semirban_silicon. Kesimpulannya yaitu pelaku usaha UMKM sekarang sudah memiliki akun Instagram sebagai media untuk melakukan promosi dan diharapkan semoga kedepannya pelaku usaha UMKM bisa terus konsisten dalam mengunggah produk yang dijualnya di Instagram.

Abstract

Studi ini mengeksplorasi komunikasi lintas budaya dalam konteks majelis Padhang Mbulan, sebuah pertemuan budaya bulanan yang terjadi setiap bulan purnama. Menggunakan Teori Daya Guna Komunikasi (Communication Resourcefulness Theory, CRT), penelitian ini menerapkan metode kualitatif, khususnya observasi dan wawancara, untuk menganalisis interaksi antar peserta dari latar belakang budaya yang beragam. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa interaksi tersebut tidak hanya memfasilitasi pengurangan ketidakpastian di antara orang asing tetapi juga mendorong munculnya gaya komunikasi budaya unik di antara jemaah Maiyah. Gaya ini mencakup ritus sosial tertentu seperti menanyakan kabar dan membahas konten intelektual bersama. Studi ini menyoroti peran forum budaya dalam menjembatani perbedaan budaya dan meningkatkan pemahaman bersama.

Abstract

Studi ini mengkaji peran akun Instagram @kokobuncit dalam membentuk persepsi konsumen terhadap produk makanan UMKM lokal. Menggunakan teori 4C—konteks, komunikasi, kolaborasi, dan koneksi—penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana interaksi sosial digital mempengaruhi ulasan kuliner dan perilaku konsumen. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi, dan dianalisis menggunakan langkah pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi. Sampel bertujuan digunakan untuk memilih pengikut aktif @kokobuncit sebagai informan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa akun tersebut secara efektif menyediakan ulasan kuliner yang rinci dan jujur, meningkatkan kredibilitas dan kegunaannya sebagai panduan makanan yang dapat diandalkan. Studi ini menekankan potensi akun media sosial khusus dalam mengarahkan pilihan konsumen dan mendukung usaha makanan lokal.
