Abstract

Football is far more than a game; it is a cultural language that brings people together across nations and generations. In Indonesia, this passion for football extends beyond domestic leagues, where local supporters also form strong communities around international clubs. One of these is the Chelsea Indonesia Supporters Club (CISC) Bekasi Region, a collective of Chelsea FC fans who not only share admiration for the team but also nurture social bonds and a sense of belonging within their community. This paper offers a conceptual exploration of how cohesiveness among members of CISC Bekasi contributes to the creation of a positive community image. Building on ideas from scholars such as Mulyana (2016), Collins and Raven (in Arifuddin, 2016), and Muniz and O’Guinn (in Ratnawati & Lestari, 2018), the discussion focuses on the role of group communication in fostering solidarity and collective identity. Within the group, communication is not limited to exchanging information but also functions as a medium for emotional support, shared values, and moral responsibility. The argument put forward is that effective communication and social cohesion can transform a fan club into a respected social group that embodies unity and positive representation. The experience of CISC Bekasi illustrates how sports enthusiasm, when supported by strong interpersonal ties, can encourage inclusive participation and strengthen the public image of football supporter communities in Indonesia.

Abstract

Unwittingly, when parents share information about their children's lives on social media (sharenting), they need their followers' attention, affection, and a warm attitude to fulfill their emotional needs. This study used a qualitative research approach. Data collection tools in this study were in-depth interviews, literature studies, and observations. The criteria for research informants were parents from the millennial generation who had been actively using social media for more than three years and had a high frequency of social media use. The data analysis used was thematic analysis, which could help researchers capture informants' experiences accessing social media, which researchers then presented through specific themes. Based on the research data processing, in the current digitalization era, the practice of sharing carried out by millennial parents is used to gain social recognition. The results of this study can enrich the discussion on sharing motivation, namely not only in the aspects of self-presentation and social participation but also in the aspect of social recognition.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between privacy management on Instagram and the self-presentation of teenaget. The study took respondents (N=54) who had a Generation Z cohort category. Respondents in this study were students of class VII, VIII, IX at Al Azhar Islamic middle School Kemang Pratama 9 Bekasi City, West Java (SMP Islam Al Azhar Kemang Pratama 9 Kota Bekasi, Jawa Barat). This study uses a positivist paradigm with a quantitative approach. This research design is correlational, which aims to determine the relationship between variables. The independent and dependent variables will be measured simultaneously through a cross-sectional approach. The questionnaire was chosen as a tool to collect data. The questionnaire was created using Google Forms and distributed through the WhatsApp application. The nature of the question is closed, where the respondent can only choose the answer according to the options provided in the questionnaire. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, with the criteria of respondents being middle school students aged 12-14 years, having an Instagram account, and actively using Instagram for 1-3 years. The results of this study indicate that there is a strong relationship between privacy management on Instagram social media and middle school students' self-presentation. Then, the form of the relationship between the two variables is positive, meaning that the higher the privacy management of middle school students on Instagram, the higher the self-presentation.

Abstract

Komunikasi pemerintah di beberapa instansi pemerintah tingkat daerah pada negara berkembang masih dinomorduakan. Padahal, banyak instansi pemerintah di negara maju fokus untuk melakukan pendekatan komunikasi dua arah dengan warganya untuk menyelesaikan masalah publik. Salah satu institusi pemerintah tingkat daerah yang menjadi sorotan dalam penyelesaian masalah publik adalah kelurahan. Kelurahan sebagai unit pemerintahan terkecil pada suatu wilayah yang saat ini perlu mendapatkan sorotan terkait pelaksanaan komunikasi pemerintah. Kelurahan merupakan organisasi pemerintah yang secara hirarki berada paling bawah, yang artinya kelurahan adalah organisasi yang paling dekat dengan masyarakat. Karena itu diharapkan mampu memberikan pelayanan yang baik kepada warga yang ingin mengurus segala keperluan dan kepentingan  Penelitian ini ingin memahami bagaimana kontribusi kapasitas komunikasi pada Kelurahan Bintara dalam mencapai good governance. Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan pengambilan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Kelurahan Bintara sudah memenuhi dimensi kapasitas komunikasi dalam mencapai good governance. Kelurahan Bintara mampu menyandang status sebagai good governance dilihat dari aspek kemampuan negara, daya tanggap dan akuntabilitas dengan sangat baik. Kemudian hasil temuan lainnya, kapasitas komunikasi pemerintah, lingkungan komunikasi pemerintah dan pelayanan publik di Kelurahan Bintara mendapatkan hasil yang positif dari masyarakat.

Abstract

The main objective of implementing this community service program is to increase adolescents' awareness and understanding of the healthy and responsible use of social media. The method used was interactive training that included material presentation, discussion, and practical activities. The results of this program showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the limits of social media use, emotional management, and strategies to deal with negative impacts such as Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). In conclusion, the training successfully provided the necessary insights and tools for adolescents to use social media wisely, supporting their mental health stability.ABSTRAKTujuan utama dari pelaksanaan program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman remaja tentang penggunaan media sosial yang sehat dan bertanggung jawab. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan interaktif yang mencakup penyajian materi, diskusi, dan kegiatan praktik. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta mengenai batasan penggunaan media sosial, manajemen emosional, dan strategi menghadapi dampak negatif seperti Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). Kesimpulannya, pelatihan berhasil memberikan wawasan dan alat-alat yang diperlukan bagi remaja untuk menggunakan media sosial dengan bijak, mendukung stabilitas kesehatan mental mereka.

Abstract

Sharenting has now become a global trend on social media. The phenomenon that we can see in Indonesia is that many social media users who are millennial parents share content about their children's activities on social media. Sharenting is also considered a place for millennial parents to build their digital reputation. This research aims to prove the influence of sharenting on millennial parents' self-presentation on social media. The right approach to help researchers answer this research question is through a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques use online surveys distributed through advertising features on the Facebook platform. After filtering the online questionnaire data, the total number of respondents taken was 518 respondents. All respondents met the respondent criteria, namely millennial parents (age range 24-39 years), regularly sharing their children's activities on social media, and active users of popular social media. The research hypothesis will be tested using regression tests, correlation tests, partial tests (t), and simultaneous tests (f). The measurement method uses a Likert scale. Meanwhile, the data's validity was tested using validity and reliability tests. The research results prove a significant influence of sharenting activities on the self-presentation of millennial parents on social media. The relationship between the two variables is also stated to be positive. Then, the strength of the two variable relationships enters into a strong correlation. From the calculation results, the higher the sharenting, the higher the self-presentation. In the context of self-presentation, millennial parents use sharenting to display positive aspects of their lives, especially related to family life and their role as modern parents. For millennial parents, self-presentation on social media can also affect their reputation in the online environment. By building a positive image as caring and involved parents, they can strengthen their social connections and expand their support network online.ABSTRAKSharenting saat ini telah menjadi tren di media sosial yang mendunia. Fenomena yang dapat kita lihat di Indonesia adalah banyak pengguna media sosial yang notabene adalah orang tua milenial, membagikan konten tentang aktivitas anak-anak mereka di media sosial. Sharenting juga diasumsikan menjadi ajang orang tua milenial membangun reputasi digital mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan adanya pengaruh sharenting terhadap presentasi diri orang tua milenial di media sosial. Pendekatan yang tepat untuk membantu peneliti menjawab pertanyaan penelitian ini adalah melalui pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan survei secara daring yang didistribusikan melalui fitur iklan pada platform Facebook. Setelah dilakukan penyaringan data kuesioner daring, total responden yang diambil adalah 518 responden. Seluruh responden yang diambil telah memenuhi kriteria responden yaitu orang tua milenial (range usia 24-39 tahun), rutin membagikan aktivitas anaknya ke media sosial, dan pengguna aktif media sosial populer. Hipotesis penelitian akan diuji dengan uji regresi, uji korelasi, uji parsial (t), dan uji simultan (f). Metode pengukuran menggunakan skala likert. Sementara itu, uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan aktivitas sharenting terhadap presentasi diri orang tua milenial di media sosial. Hubungan diantara kedua variabel juga dinyatakan positif. Kemudian, kekuatan kedua hubungan variabel masuk ke dalam korelasi kuat. Dari hasil penghitungan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa, semakin tinggi sharenting maka semakin tinggi pula presentasi diri. Dalam konteks presentasi diri, orang tua milenial menggunakan sharenting untuk menampilkan aspek-aspek positif dari kehidupan mereka, terutama berkaitan dengan kehidupan keluarga dan peran mereka sebagai orang tua modern. Bagi orang tua milenial, presentasi diri di media sosial juga dapat mempengaruhi reputasi mereka dalam lingkungan daring. Dengan membangun citra positif sebagai orang tua yang peduli dan terlibat, mereka dapat memperkuat koneksi sosial mereka dan memperluas jaringan dukungan mereka di dunia maya.
