The method in this research is a literature review of various research studies published in Scopus-indexed journals. This is the basis for researchers to choose general keywords, namely "technology media," "Generation Z," and " character education. " These keywords are then used to obtain internal literature data from the Scopus database. The search was carried out in the period 2010 – 2024.The search results obtained 57 metadata, including titles and abstract and analysis was carried out with the help of VOSviewer to find patterns of interrelationship between studies. The result showed learning media, character and character education, and Generation Z began to be discussed in 2020, so research discussing this can still be said to be new research. The visualization image above shows that most of the research that has been carried out discusses students and education. In contrast, more research needs to be carried out regarding learning media. Research on character education and Generation Z is also based on the above visualizations, which previous researchers have yet to carry out much. Based on the research that has been conducted, it can be seen about several benefits from using technology-based learning media, such as AR Alphabet Book, Game Animation Software, Whiteboard Animation Video, Visual Based Learning, Social MediaVideo Games, Visual Game Character Design Digital Anti-Corruption, Interactive Teaching Physics Materials, and E-Assessment

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of parental social support and self-efficacy on students' happiness and the extent of each variable's contribution. With a quantitative approach and correlational method, 110 students of Daarul Fikri Integrated Islamic Boarding School Senior High School became respondents through total sampling and filling out a Likert scale questionnaire. The regression analysis results showed that parental social support significantly affected students' happiness (β = 0.130; p = 0.001), while self-efficacy did not have a significant effect partially (β = 0.053; p = 0.367). Simultaneously, both variables had a significant effect (F = 6.855; p = 0.002) with R² = 0.115, meaning that this model can explain 11.5% of happiness. The implication of this research is that parental social support has a significant and positive influence on the happiness of students. However, students' self-efficacy does not have a significant partial effect on their happiness.

Abstract

Teenagers, who should be the golden generation by increasing their knowledge and trying various things, have now become trapped in a superficial consumption of trends, sacrificing their potential for growth. This study aims to examine teenagers' perceptions of modern trends that contradict religious values in Yogyakarta. This research employs a qualitative approach using interviews and documentation techniques. The interview technique is used to gather accurate information from reliable informants, while documentation is employed to obtain data, knowledge, and accurate evidence. The findings indicated that today's teenagers are easily drawn into modern trends that contradict religious values. The main challenge faced by teenagers is the pressure to either follow trends or stay true to their beliefs, which can lead to disturbances in their mental or psychological health. However, this study also finds that some teenagers still firmly uphold and strengthen their faith, making them less susceptible to modern trends that conflict with Islamic religious values. Here, the role of Islam is significantly influential in shaping the character and morals of teenagers in this challenging era of globalization.

Abstract

Losing a father figure is a traumatic experience that can have a significant impact on children's psychological, emotional and social development. In Islamic boarding schools, the religious-communal environment has the potential to be an adaptive resource that strengthens children's resilience. This study aims to identify the protective factors that support their adaptation process and explore the resilience mechanisms of orphaned santri in dealing with losing a father figure. Using a phenomenological qualitative approach, data were obtained through in-depth interviews and participatory observation of six orphaned santri aged 15-18 years in a boarding school in Bantul, Yogyakarta. The analysis was conducted using the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) approach. The results showed that the resilience of santri was formed through seven main dimensions: emotion regulation, impulse control, optimism, causal analysis, empathy, self-efficacy, and the ability to reach out. The role of ustadz/ustadzah as a substitute father figure, social support from peers, and the Islamic values-based education system proved to be the main protective factors in building psychological resilience. These findings contribute to developing pesantren-based interventions to support orphans' emotional and social well-being. This study also recommends designing programs or training to improve the overall resilience of santri.
