Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of the combination treatment spacing and manure dosage on the growth and yield of sweet corn, (2) the best combination of spacing treatment and manure dosage on the growth and yield of sweet corn, and (3) correlation between growth components and yield of sweet corn plants. The experiment was carried out in Bakung Kidul Village, Jamblang District, Cirebon Regency from November 2022 to February 2023. The experimental method used was an experimental method using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a further test of the Scott Knott Cluster Test at a 5 percent significance level. It consisted of a combination of spacing and manure treatment, and was repeated three times. The treatment combinations were as follows: A (40 cm x 40 cm and 15 tons of manure/ha), B (40 cm x 40 cm and 20 tons of manure/ha), C (40 cm x 40 cm and 25 tons of fertilizer manure/ha), D (50 cm x 40 cm and 15 tons of manure/ha), E (50 cm x 40 cm and 20 tons of manure/ha), F (50 cm x 40 cm and 25 tons of manure/ ha), G (60 cm x 40 cm and 15 tons of manure/ha), H (60 cm x 40 cm and 20 tons of manure/ha) and I (60 cm x 40 cm and 25 tons of manure/ha). The results showed that: (1) the combination of spacing and manure treatment had a significant effect on the growth and yield of sweet corn, (2) a spacing of 50 cm x 40 cm combined with 20 tons of manure per hectare had the best effect on plant height, number of leaves, cob length, weight of cobs with and without husks per plot. Spacing of 50 cm x 40 cm combined with 20 and 25 tons of manure per hectare gave the best effect on cob diameter, cob weight with and without husks per plant, and (3) there was a significant positive relationship between plant height at 42 days old after planting, the number of leaves aged 28 days and 42 days after planting with cob weight without husk per plot.

Abstract

This research examines the technical efficiency of rice farming (Oryza sativa L.) in Pajawanlor Village, Ciawigebang District, Kuningan Regency, to assess efficiency levels and identify influencing factors. Utilizing a quantitative research approach, the study employs the Cobb-Douglas Stochastic Frontier Production Model alongside the Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) method to analyze data from 35 rice farmers. The findings reveal an average technical efficiency level of 75%, indicating that farmers could boost their production by 25% through optimized resource utilization. Key factors affecting efficiency include land, seeds, fertilizers, labor, and farming experience. These results underscore the importance of targeted interventions, such as improved input management, better access to agricultural technology, and training programs to enhance farmers' efficiency. The implications of this research extend to policy recommendations aimed at increasing rice productivity and ensuring food security, particularly in rural agricultural contexts. Stakeholders—policymakers, agricultural extension officers, and farmers—can devise more effective strategies for optimizing rice farming outcomes by addressing technical inefficiencies.

Abstract

Indonesia has three main economic sectors: the state, the private sector, and cooperatives, which work together to create a strong economy. Cooperatives play a role in enhancing the welfare of their members and balancing capitalism while focusing on improving farmers' incomes. The performance of cooperatives needs improvement through both financial and non-financial measures. Member satisfaction affects the image of the cooperative, which in turn increases participation and loyalty, influenced by characteristics such as age and education. This study uses a survey method to evaluate service performance and measure member satisfaction in the Karya Mekar Farmers' Cooperative, Selajambe Village, Kuningan Regency, from October to December 2024. The data used consists of primary data obtained through interviews and questionnaires, as well as secondary data from management reports, Annual Member Meetings, and related agencies, which includes information on the number of members, cooperative development, and organizational structure. The analysis of service quality performance employs the IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) method, which assesses the importance and performance levels of service attributes based on five characteristics. Measurement is conducted using a five-point scale (Likert scale) that describes attitudes such as agreement-disagreement, satisfaction-dissatisfaction, and good-bad. The level of member satisfaction in the cooperative is analyzed using the CSI and SERVQUAL methods. SERVQUAL assesses both the level of expectations and actual performance/perception, while CSI is used to measure the percentage of member satisfaction levels.

This study aims to: 1) Know the response of farmers to the rice farming insurance program plan. 2) Knowing the response of farmers to the implementation of the rice farming insurance program and 3) Knowing the response of farmers to the impact of the farming insurance program. This study uses descriptive quantitative research methods with survey research techniques. Respondents consisted of the number of farmers who took part in the rice farming insurance program at least 2 times using the census technique with a total sample of 29 people. Data analysis technique using descriptive quantitative analysis. The results showed that: 1) The response of farmers to the planned rice farming insurance program in Gapoktan, Patalagan Village, Pancalang District, Kuningan Regency was very good. 2) The response of farmers to the implementation of the rice farming insurance program in Patalagan Village is good. 3) The response of farmers to the impact of the rice farming insurance program in Patalagan Village, Pancalang District, Kuningan Regency is Good.

Abstract

One of the causes of low productivity of a crop is that farmers have not fully applied production technology. One of the efforts made to increase onion production is through the adoption of innovation and new technology. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge competence, attitudes and skills of farmers with shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) farming income. The study will be conducted from January to April 2023. The method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative research method with survey research techniques. The respondents in this study were 55 shallot farmers in Sidamulya Village, Jalaksana District, Kuningan Regency. Data analysis techniques in this study use correlational analysis to measure the relationship of variables / sub-variables to other variables. The results showed that there was a moderate and real relationship between farmers' knowledge and shallot farm income, with a value of rs = 0.560 and tarithmetic value is 5.060. There is a moderate and real relationship between farmers' attitudes and shallot farm income, with a value of rs = 0.544 and a calculated value of 4.850. There is a moderate and real relationship between farmers' skills and shallot farm income, with a value of rs = 0.550 and tarithmetic value is 4.927.
