Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a PBL-STEM-based e-worksheet to improve students' disaster literacy using Microsoft Sway. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with 4d (four-D). The 4D development model consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The instrument used is a needs questionnaire, test instrument. The results of the study stated that the attractiveness of e-LKPD was 88.20%, convenience was 87.52%, and usefulness was 90.96%. The result of Effect Size on PBL-STEM based e-worksheet on disaster literacy is 0.72 in the high category. PBL-STEM-based e worksheet is used to grow literacy effectiveness, especially earthquake threat materials in areas with an N-gain value of 0.68 and moderately qualified. Teachers and students stated that the use of letters, sentences and language in the e-worksheet was easy to understand, indicating that the PBL-STEM-based e-LKPD used to study the threat of earthquake disasters in areas was interesting, useful and the language used was easy to understand and could improve disaster literacy. junior high school students. Keywords: e-Worksheet, PBL-STEM, disaster literacy, Microsoft Sway. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i3.pp882-893

Abstract

STEAM Approach in Renewable Energy Education: Global Trends and Future Research Direction. Renewable energy education is an alternative to reducing fossil energy consumption at the school level in which students are hoped to save the energy in their living environment by playing a role in behavior in dealing with energy crises. Many studies regarding the use of STEAM approach to educate students on renewable energy have sharply grown. Objectives[LS1] ; This[LS2]  recent research aims to find the novelty of those previous studies regarding renewable energy education using STEAM approach for future researches. Method; a systematic review using bibliometric analysis was performed to carry out this research whereby 16 literatures indexed by Scopus and published in 2015 – 2021 were involved as the data. Several analyses, such as co-word, performance, citation, and co-authorship were used to analyze the data promoted by VOSviewer software. Fundings; the Results of this recent study showed that publication trend of renewable energy education studies involving the STEAM approach slightly increased in the period of 2015 – 2021 while citation trend sharply decreased. Several documents and lots of authors coming from some countries in each continent contributed most to the studies of STEAM approach in renewable energy education. Conclusion; some main themes such as country’s participant, environment, renewable energy, awareness, sustainability, education, learning approach, and competence also emerged to synthesize the prospectively new direction of future researches in renewable energy education using the STEAM approach. Keywords: bibliometric, renewable energy education, STEAM approach.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v14.i2.202492

Abstract

The objective of this research was to investigate the Science teachers' and students’ perception toward STEM-Oriented Blogs with the flipped classroom strategy to improve students' representation and argumentation skills. The method used in this research is mixed methods with Sequential Explanatory Design. This research was conducted on 30 junior high school science teachers and involved 76 students of class VII junior high school. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed online and interviews online via WhatsApp video calls, then analyzed using descriptive analysis. The result shows that teachers and students have a positive perception toward STEM-Oriented Blogs with the flipped classroom strategy. As 80% of teachers had not used blog as learning media; all of students needs learning media that can be accessed via smartphones. The current media learning has not completely train students' representation and argumentation skills and that's skills was in low category. Based on the result, it can be concluded that STEM-Oriented Blogs with the flipped classroom strategy is needed to improve students' representation and argumentation skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of science teachers towards e-LKPD discovery learning based on ethnoscience Lampung Traditional Food to improve students' science process skills on the Digestive System material in junior high school. The study was conducted in Tanggamus district, involving ten respondents of science teachers and 50 students. The method study is a mixed method with Sequential Explanatory Design which combines data collection and data analysis qualitatively and quantitatively. Data was taken using questionnaires. The survey results that 0% of science teachers did not know ethnoscience-based e-LKPD, 80% of science teachers stated that the LKPD  that had been used had not trained students' science process skills, and 100% of science teachers stated that it was necessary to develop ethnoscience-based e-LKPD teaching materials. Based on student response questionnaires, 0% stated the LKPD used had not grown science process skills, and 100% of students needed other learning resources, namely ethnoscience-based e-LKPD. Teachers and students in Tanggamus Regency have never used ethnoscience-based e-LKPD, especially regarding the traditions of the Lampung people. Based on these results, concluded that e-LKPD discovery learning based on ethnoscience Lampung Traditional Food is needed to improve the science process skills of students in junior high school.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of interactive e-modules based on PjBL-STEM activities to train students' visual literacy.  This research uses mixed methods with sequential explanatory design to obtain quantitative and qualitative data.  Quantitative data was obtained by administering questionnaires to 39 science teachers in Lampung province and 149 junior high school students and qualitative data was obtained from interviews with teachers. The research results show as many as 41.70% of teacher respondents were new to using e-module teaching materials.  The e-module they use is not yet interactive and the activities in the e-module do not invite students to carry out projects.  The results of the teacher questionnaire were only 15.3% of teacher respondents using the PjBL learning model.  As many as 74.5% of teacher respondents stated that the e-modules used had not been used to train students' visual literacy.  The results of the questionnaire and interviews of teachers responded positively to the existence of teaching materials that can train students' visual literacy.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the effect of using the Etno-SiMaYang Lampung Tapis Cloth e-LKPD in improving students' critical thinking skills. This research is R&D research with the Borg and Gall research model stages 1-7. The samples in this study were class VII.1 as the control class and class VII. 2 as the experimental class, the sample was selected using a cluster random sampling technique. The data collection instruments used were teacher and student needs analysis questionnaires, expert validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, as well as pretest-posttest questions. The data analysis technique uses the t-test on students' n-Gain values. The research results stated that the expert validation results for construction suitability, content suitability and readability obtained a percentage score of 85.00% which indicated that the e-LKPD product was valid with the criteria "very high". The average percentage of teacher and student responses was 99.00% and 97.10%, which shows that the e-LKPD product is practical with the criteria "very high". The effectiveness of e-LKPD products in improving critical thinking skills in experimental classes can be seen from the average n-Gain for students of 0.71 in the "large" category with the effect size criteria being in the "large" category.

Abstract

This study evaluates the need for biotechnology PjBL-STEM Based Learning programs associated with local contexts to enhance Creative Problem Solving Skills (CPSS) and Entrepreneurial Skills (ES) from the perspectives of students and teachers. Using a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, data were collected through questionnaires from 144 science teachers in Lampung Province and in-depth interviews with three teachers and three students. The findings reveal that 66.70% of teachers consider the current learning programs inadequate for developing students' CPSS and ES, while 68.10% believe that a PjBL-STEM program would facilitate a more engaging understanding of biotechnology. Furthermore, 89.60% of teachers agree on the necessity of developing biotechnology PjBL-STEM based learning programs to enhance students' CPSS and ES. The results from the questionnaires and in-depth interviews also revealed that both teachers and students agreed that the use of local context can make learning more relevant for students. Overall, both quantitative and qualitative data indicate a strong support for the implementation of biotechnology PjBL-STEM based learning programs grounded in local contexts to better develop students' CPSS and ES.

Abstract

The PRISMA-E’xi learning model integrates multiple-representation approaches, the engineering design process (STEM), and strategies designed to enhance students’ creative problem-solving skills. This study aimed to evaluate the model’s practicality through an initial implementation in senior high school physics instruction. A quantitative descriptive design was employed at the developmental research limited-trial stage, involving one tenth-grade class at SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung across six instructional sessions. Data were collected through validated observation sheets assessing model implementation, teacher performance, and student activities, as well as questionnaires measuring teacher and student responses. The findings demonstrated high practicality, with implementation scoring 91.17%, teacher performance 92.31%, and student activity 88.33%, all categorized as “Excellent.” Teacher and student responses were overwhelmingly positive, with agreement levels of 98.00% and 98.95%, respectively. Although minor technical refinements were suggested, the core structure of the model remained intact and ready for broader deployment. Overall, the results indicate that PRISMA-E’xi is highly implementable, well-received, and holds strong potential to enhance student engagement and higher-order thinking in physics learning while providing teachers with a structured framework that supports 21st-century skills development.

Abstract

Air bersih merupakan kebutuhan dasar masyarakat dan masyarakat desa umumnya memiliki akses yang kurang terhadap sumber daya air bersih. Kegiatan pendampingan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Bayas Jaya, Kecamatan Way Khilau, Kabupaten Pesawaran. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang konservasi sumber daya air, kualitas air, dan pengelolaan sumber daya air. Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan meliputi: (1) assessment pengetahuan masyarakat tentang sumberday air, (2) penyuluhan pengelolaan sumber daya aair, dan (3) pendampingan penguatan tatakelol pengelolaan sumber daya air Pengabdian ini melibatkan 32 masyarakat yang mewakili 7 dusun, kelompok masyarakat, pemerintah desa, dan pihak yang berkepentingan seperti proyek BPDAS HL Way Seputih Way Sekampung melalui proyek CCCD serta KPHL Kabupaten Pesawaran. Masyarakat diberikan pelatihan tentang konservasi sumberday air, kualitasn air, dan pengelolaan sumberdaya air. Peserta pelatihan kemudian dilakukan pre-test dan post-test kegiatan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pengetahuan masyarakat tentang konservasi sumberday air, (2) pengetahuan masyarakat tentang kualitas air meningkat, dan (3) terdapat keiningan untuk membentuk kelompok pengelola sumber daya air

Abstract

Curriculum transformation requires science teachers to master innovative learning design, but competence in applying Deep Learning approaches and 21st century skills assessment remains a challenge. This service aims to improve the understanding of junior high school/MTs science teachers about the philosophical foundations of deep learning, curriculum analysis and essential science content to support in-depth science learning, design science learning with a deep learning approach, and design a deep learning-oriented science learning assessment that integrates 21st Century Skills and SDGs issues. This activity was carried out using a participatory and reflective workshop method to 30 science teachers Junior High School/MTs which are members of the Subject Teacher Conference of Pringsewu and South Lampung Regencies. Program evaluations use the CIPP model that measures competency improvement through context, input, process, and product analysis. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the understanding of the workshop participants. The final test results with good criteria on all training materials increased by 64.75% from the initial test results with poor criteria. The response of the participants was very positive with an average of 60% stating that this activity was beneficial and improved their professionalism. The workshop was shown to be effective in supporting teachers' pedagogical transformation, with the implication that similar approaches can be replicated for sustainable professional development on a wider scale.
