Abstract

Utilizing remote sensing data and Geographic Information Systems to analyze the spatial distribution of watershed land use is one way to prepare land use designations. This research aims to determine the distribution of land use in the Wanggu River Basin District. South Konawe. The method used in this research uses a survey method with supervised classification. Based on the accuracy test (confusion matrix), the accuracy of the Landsat-9 image interpretation results was obtained at 86.63%, the watershed land use is suitable or the interpretation results are in the good category, so that land suitability can be obtained. In the Wanggu watershed, suitable land is more dominant, where suitable land has an area of 43,776. 96 Ha or 67.58%, compared to unsuitable land where unsuitable land has an area of 20,764.79 Ha or 32.42%. The research results obtained eight land use classes, namely, empty land, residential areas, water bodies, shrubs, rice fields, plantations, ponds and forests. The results of the analysis showed that the pond land use class had the smallest percentage, namely 1.09%, while the land use class had the lowest percentage. high, namely forest with a percentage of 64.01%.

Abstract

Keterampilan yang relevan untuk era ke-21 terkait dengan empat pilar pendidikan yang mencakup pembelajaran untuk memahami, pembelajaran untuk beraksi, pembelajaran untuk berkembang sebagai individu, dan pembelajaran untuk hidup berdampingan. Oleh karena itu, untuk mencapai pilar-pilar pendidikan ini, diperlukan inovasi dalam metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tren pembelajaran yang diterapkan saat ini adalah pembelajaran kooperatif. Studi ini fokus pada meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21 dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing. Metode riset yang dipakai adalah desain quasi eksperimental dengan melibatkan 55 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data mencakup tes dan observasi. Temuan dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dampak positif pada kemajuan akademik, yang juga memfasilitasi perkembangan keterampilan era 21 pada siswa melalui penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif jenis Snowball Throwing dan metode ilmiah dalam pembelajaran matematika. Dengan demikian, penerapan pola pembelajaran Snowball Throwing berkontribusi pada perkembangan kemampuan dalam menyelesaikan masalah, berpikir secara kritis, berkomunikasi dalam konteks matematika, dan kerja sama.

Abstract

The Industry 4.0 era has brought fundamental changes to various aspects of life, including Islamic education. This article aims to analyze Islam's contribution to this digital era through three main dimensions: philosophical, historical, and practical, and its implications for the development of Islamic education. The study used a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to scientific publications from 2020–2025. The results show that Islam plays a strategic role as a moral, epistemological, and applicative foundation capable of balancing technological progress with spiritual values. In the philosophical dimension, Islam provides an ethical foundation and the value of monotheism to ensure technology is used humanely and brings benefits to all humanity. In the historical dimension, Islamic education demonstrates high adaptability to changing times. In the practical dimension, Islamic educational institutions have begun implementing innovations such as blended learning, digital literacy, and artificial intelligence (AI). Thus, Islam contributes to shaping character-based, competitive, and spiritually oriented education in the Industry 4.0 era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk melihat bagaimana kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dan miskonsepsinya dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi pecahan. Dengan siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Lalolae yang berjumlah 22 orang siswa menjadi subjek penelitian. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebanyak 45% dari 22 orang siswa SD Negeri 1 Lalolae memiliki kemampuan pemahaman konsep yang sangat rendah. Dengan rata-rata nilai kemapuan pemahaman konsep berada pada kategori rendah. Dimana mayoritas siswa lemah dalam indicator Mengaplikasikan konsep atau algoritma dalam pemecahan masalah. Selanjutnya siswa juga manyoritas masih mengalami miskonsepsi dengan 41% siswa berkategori rendah dan 55% siswa berkategori sedang hal ini menunjukkan bahwas siswa SD Negeri 1 Lalolae masih mengalami miskonsepsi. dari hasil analisis silang diperoleh bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan konsep sangat rendah juyga memiliki miskonsepsi yang kategori rendah atau mengalami miskonsepsi yang tinggi

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of students' understanding of mathematical concepts in exponents and logarithms based on APOS theory at SMA Negeri 4 Binongko. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of three tenth-grade students selected based on high, medium, and low ability levels. Data were obtained through competency tests and in-depth interviews, then analyzed based on the four stages of the APOS theory, namely action, process, object, and schema. The results showed that students with high ability had reached the schema stage, students with medium ability were at the object stage, and students with low ability were at the process stage. This indicates that there are differences in the level of conceptual understanding among students according to their respective abilities. Thus, the application of the APOS theory proved to be effective in identifying and mapping students' mathematical understanding of exponents and logarithms. These findings indicate that the APOS theory can be used as a basis for designing learning that encourages the development of students' conceptual understanding in mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze mathematics learning strategies at SMA Negeri 1 Lalolae by exploring teaching methods, learning media, and student responses to identify more effective strategies for improving learning quality. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with an exploratory design. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with mathematics teachers, and questionnaires completed by 80 students. The findings reveal that lecture and problem-solving methods are most preferred by students, whereas discussion and project-based approaches are still rarely applied. Visual media were found helpful in supporting understanding; however, the use of digital applications remained limited. Students generally responded positively to learning, although their active participation and conceptual understanding still need improvement. The study concludes that the application of varied and appropriate methods and media can foster active student engagement and improve motivation and understanding in learning mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the application of a constructivist approach in mathematics learning at SMA Negeri 1 Lalolae. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data triangulation through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and student questionnaires. The findings indicate that constructivist elements have been partially implemented, as reflected in classroom discussions, opportunities for students to express arguments, and activities that encourage independent problem solving. Students showed positive responses in terms of increased motivation and learning engagement, although some students remained passive and experienced difficulties in constructing concepts independently. In conclusion, the implementation of a constructivist approach in mathematics learning at SMA Negeri 1 Lalolae has not yet been optimal and requires support in the form of improved learning facilities and teacher training to enhance its effectiveness and sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the problem-solving abilities of tenth-grade students at SMAN 1 Lalolae on the topic of exponents after the implementation of problem-based learning (PBL) with reference to Polya’s problem-solving stages. The background of this research is based on the limited number of studies that specifically examine students’ problem-solving skills in exponents through the application of PBL with a Polya-based approach. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with ten students from SMAN 1 Lalolae selected using purposive sampling, representing high, medium, and low ability categories. Data were collected through problem-solving tasks on exponents and semi-structured interviews, then analyzed using Polya’s indicators, which include understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and reviewing the solution. The findings indicate that high-ability students were able to solve problems systematically from understanding the problem to obtaining the correct solution, although the evaluation stage was not yet optimal. Medium-ability students were able to write down information and formulas but often struggled in selecting appropriate strategies, resulting in partially incorrect answers. Meanwhile, low-ability students encountered difficulties from the initial stage, demonstrated unclear strategies, and produced incorrect solutions.  The findings suggest the need to develop scaffolding strategies to support students with moderate and low levels of ability. The application of PBL was proven to enhance students’ engagement and problem-solving abilities, although evaluation and reflection aspects still need improvement.

Abstract

The development of a household herbal garden is a community empowerment strategy based on local potential to strengthen independent health resilience. Leboea Village has environmental characteristics that support the development of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA), supported by the availability of yard space and the tradition of utilizing herbal plants. This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) cadres in developing household herbal gardens as a medium for family health education. The method used is community empowerment-based cadre mentoring through four stages: preparation, training and empowerment of cadres, field mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. The activity involved 10 PKK cadres and 25 assisted households in Leboea Village. The results of the activity showed an increase in the capacity of PKK cadres in understanding and practicing herbal plant cultivation techniques, as demonstrated by the cadres' ability to plant, maintain, and provide education to the community. All assisted households successfully developed herbal gardens with main plant species such as ginger, turmeric, lemongrass, and galangal with good initial growth rates. In addition, there was an increase in community knowledge about the use of TOGA as an alternative for maintaining family health.  This activity encourages the formation of home herbal gardens that are managed independently and sustainably and strengthens public awareness of health based on local resources.ABSTRAKPengembangan taman herbal rumah tangga merupakan strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis potensi lokal untuk memperkuat ketahanan kesehatan mandiri. Desa Leboea memiliki karakteristik lingkungan yang mendukung pengembangan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA), ditunjang oleh ketersediaan lahan pekarangan dan tradisi pemanfaatan tanaman herbal. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas kader Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) dalam mengembangkan taman herbal rumah tangga sebagai media edukasi kesehatan keluarga. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendampingan kader berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui empat tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pelatihan dan pemberdayaan kader, pendampingan lapangan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Kegiatan melibatkan 10 kader PKK dan 25 rumah tangga binaan di Desa Leboea. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kapasitas kader PKK dalam memahami dan mempraktikkan teknik budidaya tanaman herbal, yang ditunjukkan melalui kemampuan kader melakukan penanaman, pemeliharaan, serta memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat. Seluruh rumah tangga binaan berhasil mengembangkan taman herbal dengan jenis tanaman utama seperti jahe, kunyit, serai, dan lengkuas dengan tingkat tumbuh awal yang baik. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pemanfaatan TOGA sebagai alternatif pemeliharaan kesehatan keluarga. Kegiatan ini mendorong terbentuknya taman herbal rumah tangga yang dikelola secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan serta memperkuat kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kesehatan berbasis sumber daya lokal.

Abstract

The transition toward a green economy in urban areas requires the integration of energy efficiency and social inclusion as two fundamental pillars of sustainable development. Makassar City, as the economic center of Eastern Indonesia, is experiencing increasing energy consumption, environmental pressures, and widening social disparities, necessitating a well-directed transition strategy supported by empirical evidence. This study aims to analyze the conditions and challenges of energy efficiency, identify the level of social inclusion within green development programs, and formulate an integrative strategy that can be implemented by local governments. A qualitative approach was employed through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving various stakeholders, including government institutions, environmental NGOs, academics, and vulnerable community groups. The findings indicate that energy efficiency programs in Makassar remain in the early stages of implementation and are dominated by top-down approaches, thereby failing to generate substantial changes within household and MSME sectors. Social inclusion is also found to be limited, as evidenced by the lack of participation from vulnerable groups in the planning and evaluation processes of green development initiatives. Moreover, weak cross-sectoral coordination has resulted in energy policies and social policies operating independently, hindering the effectiveness of a comprehensive green economy transition. The study formulates an integrative strategy combining institutional strengthening, expanded access to energy-efficient technologies, enhanced community energy literacy, and reinforced participatory mechanisms as pathways toward a low-emission and socially equitable regional development framework. These findings are expected to provide substantive contributions to local energy policy formulation and enrich the scientific literature on urban green economy transitions in Indonesia.
