Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the description of the condition of houses and the assessment of healthy houses in Kampung Bahari, Bengkulu City. The method used in observation activities is to use direct observation techniques and interviews with respondents using a cross-sectional approach which is defined as a description or description of community health. and factors that influence the health of an area both qualitatively and quantitatively. The subjects of this research were 95 families.The conclusion of this research is that from the results of a review or direct observation that was carried out in the coastal area of RT 12 Kampung Bahari, Bengkulu City, with 20 heads of families who had been assessed, the total of the houses inspected were declared healthy houses with the score of each resident's house reaching The value of the criteria for a healthy home is >660. Apart from that, problems are still found in the assessment of healthy houses in the Bengkulu city area, namely the lighting in the house is still not bright enough, so it is not clear enough to be used for normal reading with a percentage of 45%, people's behavior is never to open the family room window with a percentage of 50%. , then the behavior of cleaning the yard which is sometimes carried out with a percentage of 50%, the behavior of throwing away baby and toddler feces which are thrown into rivers/gardens/pools/randomly with a percentage of 50%, apart from that the problem of waste disposal facilities already existing, watertight , but not covered with a percentage of 100%.

Abstract

Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia meluncurkan berbagai program, termasuk Pelayanan Kesehatan Peduli Remaja (PKPR), dengan tujuan utama meningkatkan kesehatan remaja melalui fokus pada Puskesmas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan Program Pelayanan Kesehatan Peduli Remaja di Puskesmas Sawah Lebar Kota Bengkulu.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara dan  observasi, informan penelitian ini terdiri dari 4 informan yaitu Kepala Puskesmas, Petugas PKPR, Petugas Pendukung PKPR dan Remaja Yang Terpapar PKPR. Analisis data menggunakan SN PKPR Kemenkes RI 2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Standar 1 Sumber Daya Manusia Kesehatan dikategorikan sebagai Obtimal, Standar 2 Fasilitas Kesehatan dinilai sebagai Paripurna, Standar 3 Remaja juga dinilai sebagai Paripurna, Standar 4 Jejaring dikategorikan sebagai Optimal, sementara Standar 5 Manajemen Kesehatan mendapatkan kategori Paripurna.Disarankan Pihak puskesmas meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kompetensi petugas dan pelayanan konseling pada remaja melalui pelatihan atau kursus-kursus tentang PKPR dan Konseling Remaja

Abstract

Fatmawati Airport as a place for people entering and exiting from various destinations needs attention in the aspect of creating a healthy environment to protect airport users from the spread of disease and health problems. This research aims to analyse the sanitary conditions at Fatmawati Soekarno Airport Bengkulu and received authorization from the Class III Port Health Office in Bengkulu with permit number 238/SKTMP/KKP-BKL/VIII/2021. This research was descriptive observational. The data collection technique used a direct measurement with an observational list. The results showed that the sanitation conditions at Fatmawati Soekarno Airport Bengkulu scored 6900 (56.21%); thus, it was declared unhealthy. The efforts to implement environmental sanitation obtained a score of 54.21%, the arrangement of facilities and infrastructure 56.44%, the increase in clean and healthy living behaviors 71.42%, the improvement of occupational safety and health 85.33%, the security and order 80%, and the institutional aspect 50.26%. The health conditions of the airport environment, facilities, and the institutional efforts were categorized as not good. However, the efforts to increase clean and healthy living behaviors and to increase security and order were categorized as meeting the requirements since the officers outside the airport was mandatory to use PPE (personal protective equipment).

Abstract

Background: Radiology is a branch of medicine that examines or diagnoses the internal parts of the human body using imaging technology, including both electromagnetic and mechanical waves. Bhayangkara Hospital in Bengkulu has a radiology facility that utilizes X-ray radiation as a medical support facility. The equipment used includes conventional X-rays, CT scans, panoramic X-rays, mobile X-rays, and ultrasound. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of video media on knowledge of X-ray radiation in the Radiology Installation at Bhayangkara Hospital in Bengkulu City. Methods: This study used a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design. The research design was experimental. The sample size was 52 respondents. The results were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The level of patient knowledge about X-ray radiation after receiving health education through video media increased compared to before the intervention. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed a Z-value of -5.894 with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000. This significance value is less than α = 0.05. Suggestion: Bhayangkara Hospital, Bengkulu City, especially the Radiology Department, is expected to incorporate video-based health education into routine patient education. Abstract

The rapid growth of healthcare services has significantly increased the generation of medical waste, posing serious risks to environmental and public health, particularly through water quality contamination. This study examines global trends in medical waste management and proposes a hybrid analytical framework combining bibliometric analysis using SCIMAT and predictive modeling based on artificial neural networks implemented in Orange. Bibliometric mapping was employed to identify dominant research themes, temporal evolution, and knowledge gaps in medical waste and water contamination studies from 2000 to 2023. Subsequently, a neural network model was developed to predict potential water quality deterioration associated with mismanaged medical waste, using simulated environmental indicators. The results reveal a strong research focus on incineration, infection control, and hazardous waste, while predictive modeling of water contamination remains underexplored. The proposed hybrid approach demonstrates high predictive accuracy and offers a robust decision-support tool for environmental health policy. This study contributes methodologically and substantively to sustainable medical waste management and water resource protection.

Abstract

This study aims to identify factors associated with medication adherence among pulmonary TB patients in the Telaga Dewa Public Health Center (Puskesmas) service area in Bengkulu City. This is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design, conducted in May–June 2025. The sample size was 45 respondents, selected using random sampling from a total of 80 patients. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed a significant association between knowledge (p=1,000), attitude (p=0.01), and family support (p=0.04) with medication adherence among pulmonary TB patients. The conclusion of this study is that the level of knowledge, positive attitude, and strong family support play an important role in improving patient compliance with treatment. Abstract

The spread of tuberculosis (TB) is believed to be greatly influenced by environmental variables. Lung disease continues to be a public health problem. The objective of this study is to determine how environmental factors, including ventilation, lighting, housing density, and temperature, are associated with the prevalence of pulmonary TB in Sidomulyo. Using a case-control study paradineed gm, an analytical observational study was conducted. The study sample consisted of 21 individuals with pulmonary TB (cases) and 21 residents without TB (controls). Direct observations of housing conditions and structured questionnaire interviews were used to collect data. Bivariate data were analyzed to assess relationships between variables using the chi-square test. The findings showed a strong association between pulmonary TB (p=0.001) and incidence of lighting and housing density (p=0.000). Neither with home temperature (p=0.520).or ventilation (p=1.000). Based on these findings, public education on the importance of maintaining a healthy home environment, particularly regarding ventilation, lighting, and appropriate housing density, is recommended, in accordance with Ministry of Health guidelines year 2023.

Abstract

Desa Sri Kuncoro tepatnya di dusun 1 Kecamatan Pondok Kelapa Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah Kota  Bengkulu dari 40 KK terdapat 25 KK masyarakat yang tidak mengkomsumsi buah dan sayuran, berbagai dampak yang dapat terjadi jika kurang mengkonsumsi buah dan sayur,seperti mudah terserang penyakit, sering mengalami masalah gusi, obesitas ,kurangnya konsentrasi dan lemas. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan mulai dari tanggal 05 November-26 Desember 2019.  Kegiatan dimulai dari pengumpulan data, analisis, intervensi melalui penyuluhan dan selanjutnya dilakukan menitoring dan evaluasi. Setelah kami kkegiatan edukasi konsumsi buah dan sayuran tesebut, pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat akan pentingnya konsumsi buah dan sayuran menjadi bertambah, dan masyarakat sadar pentingnya konsumsi buah dan sayuran akan kesehataan. Hendaknya masyarakat dusun 1 desa sri kuncoro agar lebih memperhatikan dan sadar akan pentingnya konsumsi buah dan sayur agar terciptanya masyarakat yang sehat

Abstract

Perancangan ini di latar belakangi oleh limbah botol plastik yang semakin menumpuk. Limbah botol plastik masih dianggap kurang bermanfaat. Padahal limbah botol plastik dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi beraneka ragam bentuk. Dalam proses daur ulang limbah botol plastik diperlukan beberapa proses agar daur ulang limbah botol plastik dapat dimanfaatkan. Sebelum didaur ulang perlu adanya proses pencucian agar kotoran padat maupun kimia yang terkandung pada limbah botol plastik dapat diminimalisir.Permasalahan mitra yaitu masyarakatnya memiliki ekonomi rendah dan sebagian warganya bekerja di tempat pembuangan akhir sampah di Air Sebakul, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan vital mereka sehari-hari menjadi pemulung sampah. Walaupun pekerjaan mereka bergelut dibidang persampahan, tetapi mereka tidak memahami bagaimana cara mengelolah sampah tersebut supaya dapat dijadikan sebagai penambah perekonomian keluarganya. Masyarakat sekitar juga.banyak yang belum mengetahui dampak yang ditimbulkan jika limbah botol plastic ini tidak dikelolah dengan baik. Masyarakat juga belum belum mengetahui bagaimana cara pemanfaatan limbah botol plastic ini sebagai filter untuk IPAL .Pada kegaiatan ini masyarakat diberikan sosialisasi dan pelatihan tentang pembuatan filter IPAL dengan memanfaatkan limbah botol plastik yang mudh didapatkan oleh masyarakat sekitar. Setelah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat menambah pengetahuan dan kemampuan masyarakat dalam mengelolah sampah plastic botol bekas, dan dapat dijadikan sebagai peluang usaha untuk menambah perekonomian keluarga.Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, Filter IPAL, Botol Plastik
