Abstract

Sarining Trigona Pertiwi, a beekeeping group established on June 6, 2020, in Bongkasa Pertiwi Village, Badung Regency, Bali, emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide supplementary income amidst economic turmoil. Starting with 470 colonies of stingless bees, including Tetragonula Laevicheps and Heterotrigona Itama, the organization has expanded to 620 colonies and now consists of 22 members. With financial backing from The Aqua, a private company, the group produces honey in 250 ml and 100 ml sizes and has embraced eco-tourism to educate visitors about honey harvesting and environmental conservation. Despite employing best practices such as regular hive inspections and sustainable harvesting methods, Sarining Trigona Pertiwi faces substantial postharvest and marketing challenges. These include a lack of standardized postharvest protocols, inadequate hygiene and storage practices, high moisture content in honey, and the absence of commercial licenses. Marketing obstacles encompass an undefined market, poor packaging and labeling, limited social media presence, and ambiguous brand identity. Addressing these issues is critical for enhancing Sarining Trigona Pertiwi's operations' productivity and sustainability, ensuring this community initiative's long-term success and economic stability. Abstract

This study examines how the community at Subak Uma Lambing in Bali, Indonesia, can advance regenerative farming initiatives by strengthening farmers' and their children's cultural identity and pride. Through community engagement and research-based approaches, this study explores the behavioral factors that influence the adoption of regenerative agricultural practices. By deepening the community’s connection to its cultural heritage, this research seeks to enhance motivation toward sustainable farming and ensure the preservation of local traditions for future generations. Abstract

Coffee is the most popular and traded drink in the world. The cultivar, environmental conditions, and agricultural management determine the physical quality, coffee taste, and chemical composition of coffee beans. The purpose of this community service was to improve the knowledge and skill level of the Triguna Karya group in terms of the technique of green bean storage; therefore, the quality and safety of the green beans can be maintained. Moreover, to increase the marketing skill strategy using a number of social media. The method used was survey, observation, mentoring, knowledge transfer, practice, documentation, and evaluation. The result showed that the group of Triguna Karya stored green coffee beans poorly in the warehouse, even though they have known postharvest handling and processing of coffee well. The group did not use temperature and humidity control during storage of green beans; therefore, they can be damaged and decrease in quality and safety. In general, the participant have understood about Facebook but less in how to use the Instagram and TikTok applications. The methods used in this program included interviews to identify problems and the direct participation of partners in the production of various bakery products (such as Danish pastry, pizza, flavoured sweet bread, sponge cake, chiffon cake, and brownies), packaging and labelling, bookkeeping, and digital marketing. The objective of this program was to provide solutions to the problems faced by partners in innovative bakery production, financial bookkeeping, marketing, and licensing (PIRT). The results of the programme show that partners acquired skills in producing innovative bakery products (with various variations/creations). Abstract

The group members of the Jempiring Women Farmers Group in Bresela Village have limited knowledge and skills in processing traditional snack products that are hygienic, varied, and suitable for sale for “upakara” (religious ritual) purposes. Most of the “upakara” snacks are purchased from outside the village, which has an impact on the community's low local income and lack of economic independence. The method of implementing the activity includes several stages, namely: socialization and counseling regarding the importance of sanitation and hygiene in food processing, practical training in making various types of traditional snacks, such as “jaja uli” and “jaja begina”, which are suitable for “upakara”, and assistance in terms of packaging, pricing, and product marketing. The results of this activity are very significant: the members of the Jempiring group are now not only able to produce traditional snacks independently but have also formed a local marketing network. This success not only increases the group's income but also preserves the traditional Balinese culinary heritage and strengthens the village's economic independence.
