Abstract

This study aims to describe, analyze and interpret the context of discourse in the law and criminal rubric on the CNN Indonesia news portal. The context of the discourse is formed from various elements, namely the setting (setting and scene), participants, results (ends), messages, ways (keys), means (instruments) and norms. The problem in this research is what is the context of written discourse in the law and criminal rubric on the CNN Indonesia news portal? The theory used in this study is Hymes' theory in Djajasudarma (2017) and other supporting theories. The method used is descriptive method. The data collection technique used is the documentation technique. The data analysis technique used is content analysis technique. The results of the analysis of the discourse context in the law and criminal rubric on the CNN Indonesia news portal are in the form of background elements (settings and scenes) that refer to different places and times from all over Indonesia, including Aceh, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Makassar, Solo, East Nusa Tenggara and etc., participants involved from the whole discourse there are 92 participants, the results (ends) in the discourse aim to provide information on law and criminal events, the occurrence of criminal acts, provide the results of court decisions and so on, the message, namely giving different messages or messages from each of them not to commit criminal acts, to be more careful with crime acts and so on, the way (key) is conveyed in a convincing, blazing, firm and demanding way, means (instrument) using written language, norms namely lectures and discussions, type (genre) namely CNN Indonesia news portal.

Abstract

Assertive speech acts function to say or convey something. In the drama series imperfect the series season 2 episode 1, there are many utterances that contain assertive speech acts. The problem in this study is how assertive speech acts are in the drama series imperfect the series season 2 episode 1. This study aims to describe, analyze and interpret assertive speech acts in the drama series imperfect the series season 2 episode 1. Data collection is from May 8, 2023 until June 7, 2023, which amounts to 14 data. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach in which the results of the data will be in the form of writing not numbers in the form of speech, so that the results of the data are in the form of utterances from conversations that have been observed. The results of the study show that there are assertive speech acts in the drama series imperfect the series season 2 episode 1. The researchers found four assertive speech acts with the functions of informing, suggesting, complaining, and boasting. Assertive speech act informs that there are 7 utterances, assertive speech act suggests finding 6 utterances, assertive speech act complains the researcher finds 4 utterances, then assertive speech act boasts there are 2 utterances.

Abstract

This study aims to find out, analyze, and interpret the forms of assertive speech acts found in the film because of the legacy of director Muhadkly Acho. The approach in this study uses a qualitative approach with content analysis method. The data collection techniques used are documentation, observing, and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the most commonly found assertive speech acts are assertive speech acts of informing with marker indicators conveying news/information. This proves that the use of assertive speech acts, especially telling speeches, is caused by the influence of the character's speech. Every utterance made by the characters in this film cannot be separated from the aspect of communication. The communication is contained in the form of dialogue. The dialogue carried out by the characters in the film conveys information in the form of opinions, thoughts, goals, and feelings either directly or indirectly. As for the least assertive speech act found in the film Gara-Gara Warisan directed by Muhadkly Acho, namely the assertive speech act of boasting with the marker indicator of giving praise/proud. From this statement it shows that assertive speech acts have an effect on the development of linguistics, especially pragmatics which is an important science in learning language according to the context. Without the knowledge of pragmatics, speech acts are difficult to understand for both speakers and speech partners which results in communication not running smoothly. In other words, speech acts are a very important element in pragmatic studies, so this research has implications for the development of linguistics

Abstract

This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sample used in this study was 64 class VIII students at SMPN 1 Tanag Putih. Collecting data in this study using Observation Techniques  and Tests. Based on the results and discussion in the research on the ability to write news texts for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Putih for the 2022/2023 Academic Year, it can be concluded that the average score of students’ ability in writing news texts based on the elements of news is 81.6 (categorized as good), and the everage score of students’ ability in writing news texts based on news presentation patterns is  67.68 (categorized as fair).

Abstract

This research is motivated by learning motivation towards students' learning outcomes in Indonesian at school. Education is a process carried out by a person or individual to achieve an effective learning process with the aim of educating students to develop knowledge. In the maximum learning process can not be separated from the relationship with motivation. With the existence of motivation can support a learning process, in other words motivation as a driving force for students to carry out a learning activity. The methods used in this research are correlation and descriptive methods. The source of this research is population and sample. The approach used in this research is quantitative research. Data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interview techniques, and questionnaire techniques. This study uses data analysis techniques in the form of normality tests, linearity tests, simple linear regression tests. The results of data processing found in this study are the results of data analysis of learning motivation on Indonesian language learning outcomes for students' drama materials obtained r = 0.228, by obtaining df = 93, then tcount = 2.263 > ttable = 1.661 so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected which means that there is an influence of learning motivation on the results of learning Indonesian drama material.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the Batak Toba language in Tengganau Village, Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency which is used every day by the community when communicating in the form and meaning of reduplication aspects. The focus of this research is the form and meaning of the reduplication of the Toba Batak language in Tengganau Village. This research aims to describe the forms of reduplication of the Toba Batak language in Tengganau Village, Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency and analyze the meaning of the reduplication of the Toba Batak Language in Tengganau Village, Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency. The theory used in this research is Ramlan. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. This research method is a descriptive research method. Data collection techniques in this research include interviews, recording (audio), fishing and notes. The conclusion of this research is to form language speakers who have knowledge and skills so that the author knows the form of Toba Batak language reduplication in Tengganau Village, Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency. This research has implications for teaching Indonesian language learning. The results of the research can be used by teachers in the field of Indonesian language studies as teaching material, especially in the fields of morphology and semantics. In addition, this research provides information to teachers and students about reduplication or rewording. This research can later be used as teaching material in Indonesian language subject matter, namely reduplication. The more students understand the reduplication material with the teaching materials, the higher the students' appreciation of the language.

Abstract

Language ability is a person's ability to convey or communicate what is on his mind and his feelings to achieve the goals he wants to achieve. One of the language skills that students must master is writing skills that students must master is writing procedural texts. The research method used is the case study method. The type of research approach chosen by the researcher is a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation and test techniques. Data analysis techniques in research are identification, grouping data, classifying the data according to the structural aspects and linguistic aspects contained in the procedural text, analyzing the data according to relevant theories, and concluding the results of the analysis. The results of the research found that the ability of 127 students in writing procedural texts in the structural aspect included Fair (C), 49 students were able to master writing procedural texts and 78 students were still unable to master writing procedural texts and students' ability in writing procedural texts was in the Good category. (B) 78 students were able to master writing correct procedural texts and 49 students still had not mastered the assessment indicators in the linguistic aspect.

Abstract

Training on Implementing the Independent Curriculum for working groups of elementary school teachers throughout Kuok District aims to increase teacher competency and readiness in implementing this new curriculum. This training was carried out using offline and online methods, involving 26 participants from various elementary schools. Implementation of activities includes preparation, implementation and evaluation stages, with the core activities being the delivery of interactive material, simulation practice and final evaluation. The results of the training showed a significant increase in teachers' understanding and skills regarding the Independent Curriculum. Teachers are able to develop innovative teaching modules and design effective learning processes. Positive evaluations and feedback from participants confirm the success of this training. To overcome obstacles, several solutions and innovations were proposed, including the use of information technology and regular assistance. It is hoped that this training can contribute to improving the quality of education in Kuok District, support the sustainable implementation of the Independent Curriculum, and create a young generation that is competent in facing global challenges.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 2 Mempura. Sampel pada penelitian ini ada siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Mempura yang berjumlah 30 orang. Tujuan penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan mengalihwahakan teks negosiasi berbentuk dialog ke bentuk naratif siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Mempura berdasarkan struktur dan kebahasaan teks. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mengalihwahanakan teks negosiasi berbentuk naratif siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Mempura berada pada kategori baik, dengan nilai rata-rata 89. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa sudah mampu dalam mengalihwahanakan teks negosiasi berbentuk dialog ke bentuk naratif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap teks negosiasi naratif: sangat baik, baik, cukup, dan kurang. Tujuh puluh persen dari siswa ini, atau 21 orang, memperoleh nilai tinggi dalam rentang 90–100. Selain itu, tiga siswa (10,0%) mencapai nilai kelulusan (80–89). Terdapat empat siswa, terhitung 13,3% dari total, yang mendapat nilai antara 70 dan 79, menempatkan mereka dalam kategori cukup. Selain itu, ada dua siswa, yang merupakan 6,7% dari total, yang mendapat nilai antara 60 dan 69, sehingga menempatkan mereka dalam kategori kurang. This research was conducted at SMAN 2 Mempura. The sample in this study was 30 class X students of SMAN 2 Mempura. The aim of the research was to determine the ability to transfer negotiation text in the form of dialogue into narrative form of class X students at SMAN 2 Mempura based on the structure and language of the text. The type of research used in this research is qualitative with descriptive research methods. The results of the research show that the ability to transfer negotiation texts in the form of narratives of class The results of this research indicate that there are four levels of students' understanding of narrative negotiation texts: very good, good, sufficient, and poor. Seventy percent of these students, or 21, earned high scores in the 90–100 range. Additionally, three students (10.0%) achieved passing grades (80–89). There were four students, accounting for 13.3% of the total, who scored between 70 and 79, placing them in the fair category. Additionally, there were two students, constituting 6.7% of the total, who scored between 60 and 69, thus placing them in the poor category.

Abstract

Research on the cohesion of poetical text in Tunjuk Ajar Melayu by Tenas Effendy which viewed from the aspect of language. The role of cohesion is necessary in a text to support the linkage between the stanza with the stanza and the array with the array in a poem. With the cohesion will make it easier to read understand the author's intent. Cohesion can also affect the level of appreciation and understanding of the reader or the listener. Therefore, this study aims to know the cohesion between the lines in one line and antarbait in the text of the teachings of the teachings of Tenas Effendy Malay. The theory used Tarigan (1993), Effendy (2013), Tarigan (2009) and other supporting theories. Writing research this is descriptive-analitik with qualitative descriptive method. The data of this research are sourced Tunjuk Ajar Melayu by Tenas Effendy in 2013. Based on the research findings, there are several cohesion tools used in the text of lecture of Tenas Effendy's Malay teaching, among others, pronouncement, substitution, conjunction and lexical cohesion. There are several ways of lexical used are repetition, synonym and antonym and so on.
