Abstract

This paper aims to describe the teaching of Malay in Tenas Effendy’s Poem as a base of character education. Poem contains various contents, mainly meaningful stories and a variety of religious advice that could be used as a reference in daily life. Therefore, indirectly, poetry is a base for character education not only because of the values inside, but also because of the strategies for the local wisdom preservation. The theory used Kemendiknas (2010), Effendy (2013), dan Syafri (2014). This paper is descriptive-analytic with descriptive qualitative method. The data sources are Tunjuk Ajar Melayu books from Tenas Effendy (2013). Based on the analysis, it can be indicated that the Teaching of Malay from Tenas Effendy Tenas Poem contributed to character education. The points that contributed to character education are religious value, social care, discipline, honesty, independence, responsibility, love peace, tolerance, caring environment, friendly/communicative, democratic, hard work, and curiosity.

Abstract

Language error analysis is a study about disorder of language use based on grammatical rules. This research is aimed to analyze and interpret morphological errors in Kompas Editorials. It works on perspective content analysis method by applying documentation and hermeneutic techniques. Data collection techniques applied in this research by reading, recording, and grouping the data based on morphological categories. This research reveals that inappropriate affix uses, affix omission in particular use of prefix, suffix, and confix. To conclude, the use of official, accurate, acceptable Indonesian language should be concerned in writing the news.

Abstract

Analysis of language errors is the science of studying or discussing the use of languages that are notin accordance with the rules that have been determined based on standard grammar, these are stillfound in scientific works including in a collection of scientific papers of students of IslamicUniversity of Indonesia Language and Literature Study Program. The language used by students issometimes not in accordance with the rules of language contained in the Indonesian SpellingGeneral Guidelines (PUEBI). Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of analyzing andinterpreting errors in syntactic level language, phrase fields and sentences in a collection ofscientific papers by students of the Islamic University of Riau Indonesian Language and LiteratureStudy Program. This study uses the content analysis method that is prescriptive. Data collectiontechniques using documentation and hermeneutic techniques. The data of this study are sourcedfrom a collection of scientific papers from students at the Islamic University of Riau FKIPIndonesian Language and Literature Study Program. The data studied was documented by reading,taking notes and then concluded and grouped based on the use of each level. Errors in language in acollection of student papers at the Islamic University of Riau FKIP Indonesian Language andLiterature Study Program found language errors at the syntactic level. The results of this study, thephrase field errors are excessive or redundant use of elements and improper use of prepositions.Meanwhile, language errors in the sentence field include, the sentence is not subject, the sentence isnot predicated, the sentence is not subject and is not predicated/sentence stumps such as the use ofwords, illogical sentences, excessive use of conjunctions, non-parallel sequences, use of foreignterms , and the use of unnecessary question words.

Abstract

In the era of globalization there have been many changes and shifts in cultural values ​​within Malay society, causing neglected gurindam and other folk literature. The Malay community is now more interested in reading social media than reading literature, especially the younger generation. The younger generation is increasingly distant from the traditions espoused especially if it is associated with degradation and moral decadence that are very different from those of young people in the past. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze and interpret the cultural values ​​in folk literature, especially those that are exemplary to the younger generation. This needs to be examined as a form of contribution to the development of mental and character building. This research is descriptive with content analysis method. The data of this study are sourced from the 2013 book Teachings of Teachings by Tenas Effendy. The data studied is documented by means of reading, further recording is concluded and grouped based on the cultural values ​​contained therein. Based on the observations of the author, the Malay teaching point in the Tenind Effendy workshops contributed to cultural values ​​including responsibility, obedience, giving advice, respect, love and loyalty.

Abstract

Cultural and educational shifts and changes in Kampar community cause the Timang as the traditional bathing and other traditions are ignored. Kampar society are now more interested in contemporary culture than their ancestors, especially the younger generation. The younger generation is farther away from the tradition adhered to especially when related to degradation and moral decadence which is very different from the youth of the past. Therefore, a deep study of the timang tradition of bathing in Kampar community is needed. The problem in this study related to cultural and character education values in the tradition of the Kampar community, timang bathing. The purposes of this study were to describe, analyze, and interpret the values of cultural ​​and character education in the tradition of taking a bath in the Kampar community. This research was a qualitative research using ethnographic methods. This study has been conducted in six steps, first is the selection of an ethnographic project. Second, asking questions. Third, data collection. Data collection is done by observation, see competent involvement. Fourth, the recording process. Fifth, data analysis. Sixth, the writing process. The data of this study were sourced from the timang tradition of bathing in the community of Kampar Regency. The data examined were documented by being recorded, noted, then analyzed and concluded based on values of cultural and character education contained. The results of this study revealed five cultural values ​​in the timang tradition of bathing in the Kampar community, being obedient, giving advice, loving, loving, and being loyal. Meanwhile, there were three values ​​of character education in the timang tradition of bathing in the Kampar community, such as faith and piety, honesty, and caring.

Abstract

This research was conducted base on two interests, the interests of protecting culture especially local wisdom and the interests of protecting the environment. The importance of preserving culture, especially local wisdom, is in the effort to document fairy tales in Telayap Village, Pelalawan District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. Moreover, the importance of protecting the environment is also in the effort to examine the tales that will be obtained with ecological literary theory. The community of Telayap Village, Pelalawan District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province has not been well documented and is assumed to have a lot of environmental content. Therefore, this research was a form of manifestation of preserving local culture and preserving the environment at the same time. Fairy tales need good documentation so that they are not extinct or not recognized as belonging to other nations. Behind their simple form, fairy tales can actually teach many good things to shape one's character, including shaping environmental character. This ecological literary theory tries to answer the relationship of literature with its environment. Not many people have done research with this theory. Meanwhile, the discussion on the environment at this time is an important agenda to heighten the degradation of public awareness in protecting and preserving the environment. This also shows that this research has implications for character in education. The formulation of the problem in this study were: (1) What are the fables contained in the Telayap Kelurahan community, Pelalawan District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau? and (2) What is the ecological literature in the fairy tales of the Telayap Village, Pelalawan District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau? The theory used to study ecological literature is Garrard's theory (in Endraswara, 2016) regarding the six concepts of ecological literature which include (1) pollution; (2) wilderness; (3) disaster; (4) housing / residence; (5) animals; and (6) earth. This study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. The research located in Telayap Village, Pelalawan District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. Research data sources were informants selected based on qualitative research informant determination techniques. Data collection techniques included observation techniques, recording techniques, conversational skills, and collaboration techniques. Data analysis techniques are based on Miles and Huberman's interactive techniques. The results of this study indicated that the tales of the Telayap community contain the whole concept of ecological literature according to Garrard. The concept includes pollution, wilderness, disaster, housing/ shelter, animals, and the earth. The concept that often arises is the concept of housing/shelter, animals, and earth and the least is the concept of disaster.

Abstract

Tunjuk Ajar Melayu (TAM) is very important for Malay people, especially in the past trying after all their power to disseminate, bequeath and perpetuate the teaching values ​​referred to through literature (both oral and written). Understanding and living a literary work, one of which is through the study of stylistics. Stylistics as one of the sub-sciences in literature plays a large role in the study of literature because it examines the way the writer uses elements and language rules by looking for the effects caused by the use of language, examining the characteristics of the use of language in literature. Stylistics studied the use of the figure of speeches in its function. In this study, the researcher formulated the research problems, what was the comparative and linkage figure of speeches in TAM by Tenas Effendy?. Therefore, this research was conducted to describe, analyze, and interpret the comparative and linkage figure of speeches contained in TAM by Tenas Effendy. This research used the content analysis method. The data was collected through documentation and hermeneutic techniques. The data was documented by reading, taking notes, then summarizing and grouping according to the type of work. The results of this study were comparative figure of speeches in TAM by Tenas Effendy consisting of simile, personification, metaphor, and allegory. The linkage figure of speech in TAM by Tenas Efendy consisted of synecdoche figure of speech of tutom pro parte category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the phenomenon of educational behavior issues in posts by Indonesian youth on Facebook social media. This type of research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The researcher chose to use this method with the consideration that the phenomena under study are phenomena that require the use of more profound observations and observations. The researcher wants to clearly describe the object of research through the phenomena experienced by related informants, namely youth posts on Facebook social media. In phenomenology's view, this study is based on state circumstances to give a naturalistic impression. This study found that Indonesian youth discussed many issues in the world of education on Facebook social media. Posts by Indonesian teenagers on Facebook prove that five main sub-themes form the basis of Indonesian youth's conversations regarding the education theme. The sub-themes in question are promotions, activities, assignments, speeches, and achievements

Abstract

Penelitian ini dibuat untuk menjelaskan, menganalisis, dan menyimpulkan kesesuaian serta kualitas butir soal ujian semester ganjil Bahasa Indonesia kelas X SMK N 1 Mempura. Tujuan utamanya adalah mengevaluasi soal-soal tersebut dari segi kuantitatif dan kualitatif, dengan maksud untuk menilai kecukupan dan keunggulan soal-soal yang digunakan dalam ujian semester ganjil Bahasa Indonesia di kelas X SMK N 1 Mempura. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sumber data utama berasal dari butir soal ujian semester ganjil Bahasa Indonesia kelas X SMK N 1 Mempura tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Hasil data dianalisis secara kualitatif, dan secara kuantitatif dari aspek validitas isi, tingkat kognitif, tingkat kesukaran dan efektivitas pengecoh dengan hasil analisis validitas isi berkategori rendah. Distribusi jenjang ranah kognitif yang terukur pada soal ujian yaitu 17 (68%) soal berkategori mengingat (C1), 8 (32%) soal berkategori memahami (C2), dan tidak ada  soal berkategori menerapkan (C3). Aspek tingkat kesukaran tertinggi 12 (48%) soal berkategori sukar. Aspek efektivitas pengecoh yaitu efektivitas pengecohnya terdapat 17 (68%) soal berkategori efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kesalahan berbahasa tataran morfologi yang terdapat dalam Tajuk Rencana surat kabar Riau Pos edisi Maret dan April 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa tajuk rencana surat kabar Riau Pos edisi Maret dan April 2024. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata yang terdapat kesalahan berbahasa tatatan morfologi dalam Tajuk Rencana surat kabar Riau Pos edisi Maret dan April 2024. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dan catat. Hasil penelitian mengenai analisis kesalahan berbahasa dalam Tajuk Rencana surat kabar Riau Pos edisi Maret dan April 2024 dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat kesalahan berbahasa tataran morfologi sebanyak 25 data yang terbagi dalam klasifikasi tataran morfologi: penghilangan afiks 7 data, bunyi yang seharusnya luluh tidak diluluhkan 1 data, penggantian morf 1 data, penyingkatan morf mem-, men-, meng-, meny-, dan menge- 4 data dan penggunaan afiks yang tidak tepat 12 data. Tidak ditemukan dalam klasifikasi: peluluhan bunyi yang seharusnya tidak luluh, penentuan bentuk dasar yang tidak tepat, penempatan afiks yang tidak tepat pada gabungan kata, pengulangan kata majemuk yang tidak tepat. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman bahasa Indonesia dan juga meningkatkan penggunaan bahasa yang tepat dalam media massa.
