Abstract

Tarjuman Al-Mustafid is the first book of Tafsir 30 juz in the archipelago, which became a guide for the people of Aceh at that time. The Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam was founded in 1496-1903, ruling for 407 years. Of the royal leaders (sultans) there were four sultanates who led successively, and Abdur Rauf As-Singkili as Qadhi malik al'amin who was appointed by the first sultanah Sri Ratu Tajul Alam Safiatuddin johan sovereign in 1661. Abdur Rauf was appointed and give responsibility as Qadhi, advisor, and religious interpreter of the kingdom. What are his thoughts in his commentary book Tarjuman Al-Mustafid, is the interpretation of the verse about leadership influenced by royal politics? The author is interested in writing this theme to find out the interpretation of the verses of the Koran about leadership according to Abdur Rauf As-Singkili, and to know the concept of women's leadership according to Abdur Rauf As-Singkili. The results of the study prove that Abdurrauf's interpretation of the leader in QS. An-Nisa' verses: 19, 20, 34 and 58, are not influenced by royal politics. Abdurrauf does not interpret that a woman can be a leader. However, his activities in the kingdom with his position as Kadhi Malik Al 'Adil, Abdurrauf has the responsibility as an advisor to the Sultanah as well as the application of law in the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam. he allowed a woman to be the leader. This can be seen in several events and his work. Abdurrauf issued a fatwa to challenge the campaign of the embodiments who wished to overthrow Sultanah's position, and in his book Miraatul Thulab in his preamble there is a commendation of Sultanah Safiatuddin, "A very great sultan and a very noble king, namely your Majesty Seri Sulthanah Tajul Alam Safiatuddin Syah Sovereign Dhillullah fi Nature

Abstract

Tourism is one of the contributors to the country’s foreign exchange. Aceh has abundant natural resources. However, natural wealth without adequate human resources cannot be processed as natural resources. Apart from that, the issue of sharia tourism or halal tourism is a debate that affects the smooth running of tourism in Aceh. This research aimed to explore the challenges of developing tourism education in the coastal region of Aceh. The method used was a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, observation, and searching for important documents from both tourism education institutions and agencies related to tourism development in Aceh. The research results found that Aceh has abundant natural resources both in terms of religious tourism, natural tourism, and historical and cultural tourism. However, educational institutions in Aceh to support tourism were still very minimal, especially for universities; Aceh only had one study program at a private university. Meanwhile, the challenge faced in developing tourism education was the lack of professional teaching staff in the tourism sector, apart from educational institutions, which were also still minimal. Likewise, Sharia tourism regulations were not yet legally strong. This research recommends that the government pay more massive attention to Tourism Education Institutions in Aceh.

Abstract

The implementation of Islamic law in Aceh over the past two decades has not only reflected the enforcement of Sharia but also illustrated the cultural and political dynamics of Acehnese society. As a region rich in customary law traditions and social pluralism, the response of Acehnese communities, particularly in multicultural border areas, to violations of Islamic law and its existence varies widely. Islamic law in Aceh is often interpreted through the lens of political identity and local culture, while the maqashid sharia values, such as the protection of life, property, and security have yet to be fully integrated into daily practices. This study employs an anthropological approach with qualitative methods. Data collection was conducted through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and narrative analysis of the experiences and perspectives of local communities. The study focuses on how communities construct, understand, and respond to Sharia as part of their social lives. The findings reveal that border communities in Aceh perceive Islamic law not only as a religious rule but also as a political identity symbol to reinforce their social standing, including in rejecting the construction of non-Muslim places of worship. However, the study also highlights a gap in understanding and applying maqashid sharia, attributed to limited socialization and cross-cultural dialogue. Nevertheless, Islamic law remains respected as a crucial element of the social structure, although its interpretation is often situational and contextual.

Abstract

This study focuses and emphasizes on the religious activities of islanders in Banyak Island, Simeulue and Nias. This research aims to find religious models and coexistence strategies in interfaith between island communities. These three islands are geographically close and inhabited by people with different religious identities. This research uses qualitative research with an ethnographic approach, data collection is done through in-depth interviews with informants who live on the three islands. The results showed that island communities have a collective ability to manage diversity to avoid conflict in the name of religion. Identity as an “island community” becomes social capital in interpreting collective identity. The open character of island communities is also a cultural capital that can suppress suspicion of different groups. However, the three island communities also have different characteristics in the religious moderation policy space. Nias Islands with a majority Christian population composition shows a fairly strong attitude of tolerance. The principle of kinship adopted by the Nias community serves to strengthen relations between religious communities. Simeulue Islands, whose majority population is Muslim, also shows a high level of tolerance by giving permission to build houses of worship for Christians who have just arrived in Simeulue in the last two decades. In the context of Pulau Banyak, where the majority of the population is Muslim, tolerance is only seen in the economic, market and fishing industry aspects. On the other hand, tolerance does not apply to permits to build houses of worship. This study also discusses the importance of the role of religious and social actors in strengthening community harmony on the three islands under study.

Abstract

Pada era digital yang berkembang pesat, perubahan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk teknologi, komunikasi, dan transportasi, semakin memengaruhi cara institusi berinteraksi dengan masyarakat. Pondok pesantren, sebagai lembaga yang berperan dalam pemberdayaan komunitas, memiliki tanggung jawab dalam membangun citra positifnya. Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi peningkatan citra Pondok Pesantren Serambi Mekkah melalui publikasi media sosial, dengan studi kasus di Desa Blang Beurandang, Kecamatan Johan Pahlawan, Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum adanya publikasi media sosial, citra pesantren cukup baik namun belum optimal. Setelah upaya publikasi dilakukan, citra positifnya meningkat secara signifikan, menjadikannya lebih dikenal dan diterima oleh masyarakat luas.

Abstract

Kemiskinan merupakan masalah yang masih menjadi garapan pemerintah di Indonesia. Sudah berbagai kebijakan dan program yang dilakukan pemerintah dalam rangka pengentasan kemiskinan, seperti BLT, charity dan lain sebagainya. Tetapi permasalahan tentang kemiskinan belum terselesaikan. Dengan adanya dana desa kemudian desa bisa lebih melakukan pembangunan dan pemberdayaan masyarakatnya agar bisa menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan dan pendapatan asli desa. Strategi yang dilakukan Pemerintah Desa Along adalah menjalankan proses dengan sistematis, dan lebih mementingkan keinginan dan kebutuhan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui dana desa sebagai upaya mengatasi kemiskinan di Desa Along Kecamatan Salang, Kabupaten Simeulue. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui Observasi, Wawancara, dan Dokumentasi di lapangan. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Desa Along melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan adanya dana desa mampu mengatasi kemiskinan yang ada di Desa Along melalui Pelayanan Pendidikan, Bantuan Langsung Tunai(BLT), Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH), BUMdes, dan Renovasi Rumah Tidak Layak Huni. Dibuktikan dengan perubahan status Desa Along dari sebelum adanya dana desa adalah desa tertinggal, kemudian setelah adanya dana desa menjadi desa berkembang dan optimis untuk menjadi desa mandiri.

Abstract

The implementation of Islamic Sharia in Aceh has experienced dynamics since it was first implemented in early 2000—the presence of pro and contra attitudes from the community towards the interpretation and existence of Islamic Sharia. As a result, a model for resolving sharia violations based on local values ​​often emerges. This study departs from the central question of why the people of Aceh often choose local deals in determining several breaches of Islamic law in society. This study seeks to analyze the resolution of violations of Islamic law in the border areas of Aceh with local consensus values. The phrase border Aceh refers to a multi-identity place (ethnicity and religion). This study combines two concepts between local wisdom and Islamic law. The research method uses a qualitative approach with grounded research. The study results show that people who live on the border of Aceh, especially several districts on the West Coast of Aceh, often choose a local (non-Sharia) approach in cases of violations of Islamic Sharia. Settlements with local values ​​are considered more readily accepted by the community. Interestingly, this study found that the role of local wisdom can also reduce the number of violations of Islamic law in the border communities of Aceh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggambarkan salah satu proses integrasi nilai-nilai pendidikan pada anak. Anak sebagai bagian penting dalam keluarga perlu dididik dan ditanamkan nilai-nilai yang menjadi landasan sikap sebagai individu, salah satunya adalah sifat dapat dipercaya dalam institusi keluarga. Sikap nilai amanah merupakan salah satu sifat mulia yang harus selalu ada dalam diri setiap orang, baik dalam membangun hubungan dengan Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, bahkan dengan sesama manusia. Memberikan pendidikan yang amanah kepada anak merupakan suatu keharusan bagi para orang tua, karena sifat tersebut merupakan salah satu ciri yang menunjukkan sikap dan kepribadian seorang anak yang nantinya akan mewarnai kehidupannya sehari-hari. Penelitian ini berbentuk studi literatur deskriptif dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber bacaan yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan kepercayaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi sifat amanah dapat dilakukan oleh orang tua dalam lingkungan keluarga melalui keteladanan, meskipun begitu disertai dengan nasehat dan pendidikan lainnya. seperti dalam berinteraksi, berkomunikasi dan berkepribadian. Semua tindakan tersebut dapat dilakukan oleh orang tua dengan cara berkomunikasi dan memberi contoh kepada anak, terutama saat berinteraksi dengan sesama anggota keluarga.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the issue of religious traditions in Aceh from the perspective of understanding and interpreting Quran, specifically focusing on the beut darôh tradition, culminating in the ceremony of kenduri khatam. This indigenous ritual has been practiced for a long time in Aceh culture and is exclusively celebrated during the month of Ramadan. Moreover, the main objective of the beut darôh is to enliven the night during Ramadan after the tarawih prayer in every mosque and meunasah (Muslim house of worship), often in rural communities. This ritual reaches its peak at the end of Ramadan with the commemoration of kenduri khatam, an inclusive ritual engaging the entire community. Specifically, Aceh Besar and Banda Aceh were the primary areas where this practice evolved and changed. This study commenced with the question, "Why have the beut darôh and kenduri khatam traditions developed in Aceh urban community?", adopting qualitative method and incorporating grounded study. The results showed that the beut darôh and kenduri khatam traditions were integral parts of Aceh religious identity and culture. The beut darôh was not merely a custom of collective Quran reading but also an educational space for Quran learning. Aceh community considered kenduri khatam as an expression of gratitude, comprising both social interactions and religious customs in local traditions. In addition, the beut darôh tradition was initially prevalent in Aceh rural communities, and gradually expanded in urban communities, even though there were practical distinctions in this tradition.
