Abstract

Penelitian ini berusaha mengungkap proses pembentukan identitas keagamaan mahasiswa bercadar di Perguruan Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (PTAIN) yang ada di Gorontalo. Dengan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dan pendekatan fenomenologis, penelitian ini diharapkan akan diperoleh informasi yang akurat terhadap pembentukan identitas keagamaan mahasiswa bercadar dimaksud. Adapun kampus yang akan menjadi obyek penelitian yaitu IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo sebagai satu-satunya PTAIN yang ada di Gorontalo. Metode perolehan datanya dilakukan dengan tiga cara. Pertama, melakukan wawancara mendalam dengan mahasiswa bercadar yang berada di IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo, unsur pimpinan dan dosen yang terkait. Kedua, melakukan observasi terhadap kegiatan-kegiatan keagamaan yang selalu diikuti, khususnya kegiatan di luar kampus. Ketiga, melakukan telaah dokumen terhadap bacaan-bacaan yang sekiranya turut membentuk identitas keagamaan mahasiswa. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini diharapkan akan menghasilkan satu publikasi ilmiah yang dapat memberikan informasi seputar pembentukan identitas keagamaan mahasiswa bercadar pada perguruan tinggi agama Islam negeri umumnya dan di kawasan Gorontalo khususnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman terkait pengembangan perilaku damai di kalangan reaja tingkat SMA se Kabupaten Gorontalo. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, tahun ini peneliti melakukan penelitian analisis pengembangan perilaku damai di kalangan remaja tingkat SMA se Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di sepuluh SMA Kabupaten Gorontalo, terdiri dari tujuh SMA negeri dan tiga SMA swasta. Menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dan pendekatan fenomenologis,. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA kelas XI diambil dari sepuluh SMA Negeri dan Swasta sebagai representasi dari populasi siswa SMA kelas XI yang ada di SMA Kabupaten Gorontalo. Data diperoleh dengan metode kuesioner yang didistribusikan kepada 100 responden mengenai analisis pengembangan perilaku damai remaja tingkat SMA se Kabupaten Gorontalo. Data kemudian di analisis dengan menggunakan tekhnik Content Analysis untuk mengetahui pengembangan perilaku reamaja tingkat SMA se Kabupaten Gorontalo. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Remaja memiliki konsep yang beragam tentang perilaku damai. Konsep yang dikembangkan mulai dari aspek cara berinteraksi satu sama lain, dilihat dari efek yang ditimbulkan dari perilakunya, dan dilihat dari segi kondisi yang dimilikinya. Perilaku damai kalangan remaja mencakup berilaku diri sendiri dan perilaku yang ditujukan kepada orang lain, baik yang bersifat protektif maupun promotif. Yang tercakup dalam perilaku damai segenap perilaku yang individu sendiri merasa nyaman tidak menimbulkan masalah dalam masyarakat, dan perilaku-parilaku yang menyuburkan persahabatan di antara remaja. Pengertian ini memberi implikasi teoritik, bahwa pengembangan perdamaian di kalangan remaja dapat dibentuk dari yang sifat­nya preventif antisipatif hingga usaha-usaha peningkatan perdamaian di kalangan mereka. Usaha yang dilakukan secara langsung dapat memberikan peningkatan pemahaman dan pengembangan perilaku kepada remajatingakat SMA.

Abstract

The Arabic language of the Qur'an exhibits a distinctive nominal sentence structure that is rich in theological and rhetorical meaning. This article presents how nominal constructions in Surah al-Maʿārij reflect theological messages and rhetorical functions through syntactic and semiotic analysis. The method used was qualitative-descriptive, with data collection techniques in the form of extracting all nominal sentences from 44 verses of the surah, then annotating and analyzing them using X-Bar Theory, Dependency Grammar, and Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotics. The research findings indicated that nominal sentences affirm the certainty of divine punishment (verses 1–2), the absence of helpers for unbelievers (verses 3–4), the transcendental authority of angels (verse 7), the ethical command to be patient with beauty (verse 8), and the semantic contrast between human perception and divine reality regarding the proximity of punishment (verses 9–10). The integration of X-Bar, Dependency Grammar, and Saussure's semiotics reveals that the syntactic variations of the Qur'an are not merely grammatical phenomena, but rather a system of signs that convey profound theological and rhetorical messages. X-Bar analysis highlights the layered projections in nominal phrases, while Dependency Grammar reveals the asymmetrical relationship between the core and its dependent that shapes the meaning of the Qur'an. From a semiotic perspective, Saussure's dyadic model of signifier and signified shows how nominal sentences function not only structurally but also symbolically in signifying divine authority and human accountability.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Canva-based digital storytelling as a pedagogical tool for enhancing Arabic speaking skills among students of the Arabic Language Education program. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research involved 25 students who participated in a five-session instructional intervention. Data were collected through pre- and post-tests (quantitative) as well as classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and written reflections (qualitative). Results revealed a statistically significant improvement in speaking proficiency particularly in fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary use, and sentence structure as confirmed by paired-sample t-test analysis (p < 0.05). Qualitatively, students reported increased intrinsic motivation, reduced speaking anxiety, and greater self-confidence, attributed to the integration of oral narration with self-designed visual elements. The approach aligns coherently with key second language acquisition theories, including Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), Krashen’s Input and Affective Filter Hypotheses, and Swain’s Output Hypothesis. Furthermore, the use of Canva exemplifies effective integration of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), merging technological, pedagogical, and Arabic linguistic content knowledge. These findings affirm that digital storytelling is an innovative, contextual, and effective alternative instructional strategy for developing Arabic speaking skills in higher education, effectively addressing the limitations of conventional teaching methods, which are often monotonous and fail to foster active student engagement.

Abstract

The educational process often overlooks the evaluation aspect of learning, as educators frequently develop assessment instruments without adhering to established guidelines, despite evaluation being a critical component in determining the effectiveness and development of education. This study employed a mixed-methods Research and Development (R&D) approach to develop an Arabic question bank for Grade X students at State Islamic High School (MAN) 1 Pohuwato. Quantitatively, logical validity results showed that expert validators awarded a total score of 74 with an average of 3.89, while practitioner validators provided a total score of 71 with an average of 3.74, both categorized as very valid, resulting in a combined average validity score of 3.815. Qualitatively, the high validity values were supported by expert and practitioner evaluations indicating that the test items were clearly formulated, aligned with curriculum competencies, and appropriately represented the intended cognitive levels. Following the validation process, the revised items were tested in two classes, X-A and X-D, involving 36 students. This development research produced a set of 40 Arabic multiple-choice questions ready for use in the Mid-Term Examination (UTS) and Final Examination (UAS). The implications of this study show that CBT-based Arabic question banks can improve the objectivity, efficiency, and quality of Arabic learning evaluation in madrasas.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve basic Arabic literacy among students at the Khairul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School through the application of the Tamyiz Muyassar method.. The activity was implemented using a descriptive and action research approach during the training period, involving 25 students as the main participants. Evaluation of the program's effectiveness was conducted using pre-test and post-test instruments to measure improvements in Arabic literacy skills. The results of this program's service have an impact on increased motivation and student activeness, as well as changes in the teacher's learning approach to a more participatory and interactive direction. It can be concluded that the Tamyiz Muyassar method is effective and relevant for improving basic Arabic literacy in Islamic boarding schools with limited facilities. This service provides a practical contribution in the form of an adaptive and contextual Arabic language training model, and has the potential to be developed and replicated in other Islamic boarding schools with similar characteristics.

Abstract

Gamification has emerged as a transformative approach in language education, especially for digitally native senior high school students who thrive in interactive and engaging environments. This study presents a comparative empirical analysis of four gamified online interactive quiz platform (Blooket, Quizizz, Kahoot, and Wordwall) in their effectiveness for Arabic language learning at senior high school. Leveraging a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design, thirty-eight students were divided into experimental and control groups based on existing classes. After a five-session intervention, a 30-item posttest was administered, and the results were statistically analyzed using paired sample t-test and one-way ANOVA. The results showed no significant differences in post-test scores across the four platforms, indicating comparable effectiveness in supporting student learning outcomes. However, t-test results revealed a greater score improvement with Blooket, a finding consistent with students’ strong preference for this platform. The higher engagement offered by Blooket’s varied and complex gamification features suggests that platform design may substantially influence learner motivation and performance, in line with existing literature on gamified learning environments. This study enriches the discourse on game-based learning (GBL), emphasizing the value of digital tools in fostering effective and enjoyable classroom experiences.
