Abstract

Research on the existence of career women in the Qur'an using Riffat Hasan's gender approach resulted the conclusion that the existence of career women is not determined by gender, but by their potential and quality for great achievements. Basically, the Qur’an does not regulate women's and men's work areas in a standard way. Islam leaves certain areas to be regulated by human reason based on demands that are always developing. There is no prohibition in the Qur'an for women to have a career, on the contrary, it opens up the widest possible opportunities for women and men to work together in realizing benefits in various aspects of life. The Qur'an does not differentiate between work or righteous deeds carried out by men and women. Both are equally appreciated. In fact, Allah SWT stated that whoever does good deeds, both men and women in a state of faith, will get a good and quality life. This research is included in qualitative research and library research. The analytical method used in this research is the thematic method (maudhu'i) and Riffat Hasan's gender approach

Abstract

Penjelasan mengenai Ahl al-Kitâb telah banyak dibahas dalam berbagai literatur keislaman terutama di dalam kitab-kitab tafsir. Namun seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, pemahaman ulama mengenai cakupan Ahl al-Kitâb kitab mulai mengalami perubahan para ulama sepakat bahwa mereka adalah Yahudi dan Nasrani. Namun mereka berbeda dalam hal cakupan makna Ahl al-Kitâb, sebagian mengatakan Ahl al-Kitâb adalah Yahudi dan Nasrani keturunan Bani Israil saja, sementara yang lain mengatakan bahwa Ahl al-Kitâb adalah Yahudi dan Nasrani kapan pun dan di manapun mereka berada. Pembahasan ini akan diteliti menggunakan metode maudhu’i, berupa riset kepustakaan, dengan analisis data deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penulis mendapatkan pengungkapan kata Ahl al-Kitâb dalam al-Qur'an sebanyak 11 bentuk,. Mengenai makna Ahl al-Kitâb, Rasyid Ridha sepakat dengan jumhur ulama, hanya saja pendapatnya tentang cakupan Ahl al-Kitâb lebih luas dari ulama sebelumnya. Dalam Tafsir al-Manar, cakupan Ahl al-Kitâb tidak hanya sebatas Yahudi dan Nasrani, tetapi juga mencakup agama-agama lain seperti Majusi, Shabi'in, penyembah berhala di India, Cina dan siapa saja yang serupa dengan mereka. Menurutnya, semua agama tersebut bisa dimasukkan dalam cakupan ahli kitab karena pada awalnya semua agama menganut tauhid. Sedangkan Quraish Shihab dalam Tafsir al-Misbah memahami makna Ahl al-Kitâb adalah semua penganut agama Yahudi dan nasrani dimanapun, kapanpun dan dari keturunan siapapun. Dia memahami makna seperti itu karena berdasarkan al Quran yang hanya terbatas pada dua golongan saja yaitu Yahudi dan Nasrani

Abstract

The issue of women continues to be a hot topic for discussion. One aspect of this is the social stigma that women are often perceived as temptresses, liars, skilled in deception, and sources of scandal. This stigma persists in society. Some verses, such as Qs. Ali Imran/3:14 and Qs. Yusuf/12:28, are frequently used as justification. These two verses are generally associated with lust, which is often understood as something negative and only attributed to women. This paper presents research results on two opposing interpretations of these verses and then analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of each interpretation and their impact on the welfare of both men and women. This research is a library study, where the authors collect data from two conflicting interpretations of the verses and then analyzes and presents it using qualitative methods. The authors also apply the theory of al-Dakhîl and the theory of Mubâdalah. Based on the theory of al-Dakhîl, distortions in the interpretation of lust and inconsistencies in connecting the verses are found dan based on the theory of Mubâdalah, it is found that both men and women possess lust, as lust is a natural disposition in every human being. It can be good or bad, depending on how it is managed. The goodness or badness of lust cannot be attributed to only one gender, as both men and women can have the same potential.

Abstract

The discourse on the discussion of the holy book experiences lengthy debates in every religion because the holy book is a representation of the life guidelines adopted by religious people. From the beginning of its creation, humans tend to have a primordial promise of a power beyond their means. The promises have been written in the holy book to be obeyed, but the problem is when they try to understand what is written in the holy book, therefore many commentators try to interpret this scripture according to the knowledge they understand. The efforts of interpreters in understanding this holy book eventually made them divided into several groups. The group of interpreters who want the interpretation of the scriptures contextually using the hermeneetic method, interpreters who understand textually by fundamentalists, interpreters who want the separation between text and the world. With a variety of different ways of understanding this eventually becomes polemic in society because of the influence of this scripture that varies in translation. As for the writing method used is qualitative with historical and phenomenological approaches. The author tries to sort events according to the period of years, from the appearance of the early writings or ancient texts to the contemporary period.

Abstract

Qirâ’ât Syâdzdzah Sebagai H̲ujjah Hukum Fiqih Ibadah, apakah Qiraat ini bisa dijadikan sebagai hujjah hukum fiqih ibadah ?, hal ini yang menjadi salah satu topik pembahasan yang dimana terdapat perbedaan pendapat dari beberapa ulama, diantaranya Abu Hanifah mendukung qirâ’ât syâdzdzah untuk dijadikan istinbâth hukum. Ia berpendapat bahwa qirâ’ât syâdzdzah kendati periwayatannya tidak mutawatir namun ia diriwayatkan langsung dari Nabi oleh para sahabat, hanya saja periwayatan tersebut bersifat ahad (perorangan). juga terdapat perbedaan dengan pendapat Malikiyyah dan Syafi’iyyah bahwa qirâ’ât syâdzdzah tidak bisa dijadikan istinbâth hukum. Mereka berdua berpendapat bahwa qirâ’ât syâdzdzah bukanlah Al-Qur’an dan tidak dapat dijadikan sebagai h̲ujjah. Selain itu, qir̂a’ât syadzah juga sudah di-nasakh atau telah dihapuskan sejak masa hidup Rasulullah. Hal penting yang menjadi objek penafsiran disini adalah fiqih ibadah. Umat Islam tidak bisa lepas dari ajaran syariatnya, salah satunya adalah hukum fiqih. Fiqih menjadi urgen karena berkaitan dengan metode beribadah, cara, interaksi sosial, dan masih banyak lainya. Seringkali terjadi perseteruan antara pemeluk agama dan internal agama diawali dari adanya perbedaan penafisiran atas dalil yang mereka fahami. Selanjutnya, dalam penelitian ini penulis mengaplikasikan metode kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan menggunakan analisis isi dan juga observasi. Sumber primer yang digunakan adalah Tafsîr Al-Kasysyâf karya Al-Zamakhsyarî beserta karya-karya beliau yang lain. Adapun sumber sekunder yaitu buku-buku yang berkaitan erat dengan qirâ’ât syâdzdzah dan fiqih ibadah.

Abstract

This research was written to study the approach and understanding of Tafsîr Rûh al-Ma'âni and Tafsîr al-Kasysyâf about the context of the Prophet Muhammad's innocence in the Qur'an. The main object of this research is the verses related to the immorality of the Prophet Muhammad. By comparing the interpretations of these two interpretations, it will provide a more comprehensive understanding of the differences of views between Muktazilah and Sunni, it is hoped that it can contribute to deepening the understanding of the Prophet Muhammad's interpretation in the Qur'an and highlight the difference in interpretation between the schools and strengthen previous research that discusses the Prophet Muhammad's teachings. will be compared to understand the perspective of each character in interpreting verses related to the immorality of the Prophet Muhammad. Tafsîr Rûh al-Ma'âni which represents the Sunni view will be analyzed to see how this madhhab influences in interpreting verses related to the Prophet Muhammad's innocence. Similarly, Tafsîr al-Kasysyâf which is associated with the thought of Muktazilah, will be examined to see how they interpret the same verse. This research produced findings that the two interpreters have similarities and differences in interpreting verses related to the immorality of the Prophet Muhammad, especially in the details of the problem and it was found that there are differences in several aspects such as in the problem of minor sins and mistakes attributed to the Prophet Muhammad. In some aspects, Az-Zamakhsari who believes in Muktazilah produces the same interpretation as the Sunni and several times explicitly establishes the immortality of the Prophet Muhammad from great sins and errors in delivering treatises.

Abstract

This study investigates the transformation of spiritual practices among the Mandailing Muslim community in urban Indonesia, focusing on their use of the Naqshbandi Khalidiyah Jalaliyah order as a means of sustaining ethnic identity while abroad. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with spiritual leaders, and document analysis in key urban centers, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi. The findings reveal that global modernization processes and migration dynamics have induced a shift from universal Sufism toward an ethnically rooted spiritualism, primarily driven by the Mandailing community. This phenomenon strengthens intra-ethnic bonds via spiritual practices inspired by Dalihan Na Tolu, fostering community cohesion amidst cultural assimilation challenges. The study offers concrete evidence that religious practices adapt to socio-cultural contexts, illustrating how ethnicity influences spiritual life in migration settings. Its contribution lies in illuminating the intersection of religion, ethnicity, and social resilience in contemporary Indonesia, providing valuable insights for scholars in religious studies, anthropology, and diaspora studies concerning the role of local cultures in shaping spiritual expressions in urban environments.

Abstract

Abstract: Birth restrictions in the Al-Qur'an perspective are permanent birth restrictions prohibited in the Al-Qur'an because they are contrary to human nature, namely having offspring. However, in emergency situations, the Qur'an provides relief or allows birth restrictions to maintain maternal health. The discourse around birth control is currently increasingly urgent if it is related to the dense population of the world, especially the Indonesian population. Indonesia's population has now reached 270 million people with a population density of 140 people per square kilometer. If population density is not balanced with the State's ability to control it, it will give rise to problems such as poverty, health, education and crime. Therefore, in an emergency, birth control is one of the preventive options to reduce the rate of population growth. The problem that often arises when discussing the issue of limiting offspring is the quantity and quality of the population. This was triggered by the understanding that children are a gift from Allah and on the Day of Judgment the Messenger of Allah will be proud to see his many people. This understanding provides motivation for people to increase their offspring. However, on the one hand, Allah reminds us not to leave behind a weak generation, fearing that it will burden the family and the country.   Abstrak: Pembatasan kelahiran dalam perspektif Al-Qur'an adalah pembatasan kelahiran permanen yang dilarang dalam Al-Qur'an karena bertentangan dengan sifat manusia, yaitu memiliki keturunan. Namun, dalam situasi darurat, Al-Qur'an memberikan keringanan atau mengizinkan pembatasan kelahiran untuk menjaga kesehatan ibu. Wacana seputar pengendalian kelahiran saat ini semakin mendesak jika terkait dengan padatnya populasi dunia, khususnya penduduk Indonesia. Populasi Indonesia saat ini telah mencapai 270 juta jiwa dengan kepadatan penduduk 140 jiwa per kilometer persegi. Jika kepadatan penduduk tidak diimbangi dengan kemampuan Negara untuk mengendalikannya, itu akan menimbulkan masalah seperti kemiskinan, kesehatan, pendidikan dan kejahatan. Oleh karena itu, dalam keadaan darurat, KB menjadi salah satu pilihan preventif untuk mengurangi laju pertumbuhan penduduk. Permasalahan yang sering muncul ketika membahas masalah pembatasan keturunan adalah kuantitas dan kualitas populasi. Hal ini dipicu oleh pemahaman bahwa anak-anak adalah karunia dari Allah dan pada hari kiamat Rasulullah akan bangga melihat banyak umatnya. Pemahaman ini memberikan motivasi bagi orang untuk meningkatkan keturunannya. Namun, di satu sisi, Allah mengingatkan kita untuk tidak meninggalkan generasi yang lemah, takut akan membebani keluarga dan negara.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze M. Quraish Shihab's views on spiritual interaction between the deceased and the living in Tafsir al-Mishbah. This issue is highly urgent because the debate surrounding the soul and the afterlife has existed since the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and continues to be a polemic to this day. To answer this question, a qualitative research method with a library research approach was used. Primary data came from Tafsir al-Mishbah, where the Quranic verses about the soul were analyzed thematically. Secondary data were obtained from various classical and contemporary tafsir books, hadith books, and books on interpretation methodology to provide a comprehensive understanding. The results show that, according to M. Quraish Shihab, humans are bidimensional beings. Death is not the end of existence, but rather a transition from the mundane realm to the Barzakh realm, where the soul remains alive. Although human knowledge is very limited regarding the unseen realm, interaction between the souls of the living and the deceased is possible, especially through dreams. In conclusion, M. Quraish Shihab argues that souls in the Barzakh realm remain alive and conscious, and can interact with other souls, although in a different way from communication in the physical world.

Abstract

Allah menegaskan dalam Al-Qur’an bahwa Ia tidak sama dengan sesuatu apapun, dan tidak ada satu pun makhluk yang setara dengan-Nya, namun disaat yang sama Allah juga mengatakan di dalam Al-Qur’an bahwa Ia memiliki ‘tangan’, yang mana tangan sendiri merupakan salah satu sifat makhluk seperti manusia dan hewan. Sifat ‘tangan’ Allah ini selanjutnya ditafsirkan dengan metode yang berbeda-beda diantara ulama Islam sehingga menghasilkan penafsiran yang berbeda-beda pula. Diantara metode tersebut yang berkembang hingga saat ini adalah metode Takwil dan metode Tafwîdh yang keduanya dipakai oleh pengikut mazhab al-Asy’ariy dan al-Maturidiy, dan kemudian metode al-Itsbât yang dibangun oleh Ibn Taimiyyah dan disebarkan oleh para pengikutnya dan pengikut Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab an-Najdiy hingga saat ini. Oleh karena itu menarik untuk meniliti tentang berbagai metode tersebut dalam menafsirkan sifat ‘tangan’ Allah dan kemudian mengkomparasikan satu dengan yang lainnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tafsir komparatif dan Maudhû’i, dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data studi pustaka.
