Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the level of independence learning, chemical learning outcomes and the correlation between independence learning and chemical learning outcomes during the Covid-19 period in class XI MIPA SMAN 6 Mataram in 2020/2021. This type of research is called correlational research. The population used was all students from class XI MIPA SMAN 6 Mataram in 2020/2021, which consisted of 4 classes totaling 126 students and the sample used was 56 students using the Slovin formula. The sampling technique is proportional random sampling. Data in the form of the level of independence learning were collected using a questionnaire distribution technique, while the learning outcomes data were collected using a documentation technique from the value of chemistry test result. The data analysis technique used is non-parametric statistics using contingency correlation coefficient test. The results showed that the level of independence learning and chemical learning outcomes were categorized as moderate. The results also show a contingency correlation coefficient (C) which is 0.612 and compared to a rtable of 0.266 which shows there is a positive and significant relationship between independence learning and chemical learning outcomes during the Covid-19 period in class XI MIPA SMAN 6 Mataram Years 2020/2021

Abstract

This study aims to find out the effectiveness of online based learning during covid 19 for students of class XI dan XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1Sakra. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research. Research population as many as 189 students with a sample of 127 students. Technique of  sampling using simple random sampling. Data collection using a closed questionnaire with likert scale that has been tested validity and reliability. Techniques of analysis data using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The 4 effectiveness indicators measured in this study are activity or student involvement an average value of 2,58, barriers or obstacles that occur in the learning process an average value of 1,94, the quality of the media used an average value of 2,39 and the understanding of students in online chemistry an average value of 1,96. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of online learning in students of SMA Negri 1 Sakra with 4 indicators that fall into the low category with an average value of 2,42 which lies in the interval 1,53≤ x ≤ 2,5.

Abstract

This study aims to identify chemical concepts in tofu making and package them in the form of a magazine as a supplement to chemistry learning for high school. The development of a chemistry magazine uses a 4D model. The feasibility of ChemMag as a reading material is analyzed by validation tests and student and teacher responses. The identification results show that the chemical concepts in the tofu making process include: protein, fat, carbohydrates, organic acids, coagulation, colloids, and others. The results of the development are in the form of a chemistry magazine entitled ChemMag: chemical concepts in the tofu making process. The validation results show that the developed chemistry magazine has a validity level of 0.85 with a very valid category. The feasibility level is 84.79% and is categorized as very feasible. So it can be concluded that the ChemMag that has been designed is very feasible to be used as a supplement to chemistry learning in high school.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of the flipped classroom learning model assisted by pre-class quizzes on student learning outcomes of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Mataram, in the subject of biochemistry, on fatty acid metabolism. The type of experimental research used in this study was a Quasi-Experimental Design with a Post-Test Only Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study was the sixth-semester students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Mataram University, for the 2022 academic year, totaling 60 people with a sampling technique using saturated sampling. In this research, two classes were used: the control and experimental classes. In the experimental class, namely class A, the flipped classroom learning model was treated with the help of pre-class quizzes, while the control class only used the flipped classroom model without pre-class quizzes. This study measured student learning outcomes from post-test question scores with 30 multiple-choice questions. The data analysis techniques used are normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test using paired sample t-test, and effect size test. Based on the results of data analysis using the normality test and homogeneity test that was carried out, the data was usually and homogeneously distributed, so hypothesis testing was carried out using the t-test and effect size test. Based on the hypothesis testing that has been carried out, there is an influence of the flipped classroom learning model assisted by pre-class quizzes on student learning outcomes in the biochemistry course on fatty acid metabolism. This can be seen from the sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 in the paired sample t-test, resulting in the interpretation that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. As for the magnitude of the effect of the flipped classroom model assisted by pre-class quizzes using the effect size calculation formula, the result was 1.33, which shows the criteria for a high effect value.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a three-tier diagnostic test instrument with minimally feasible criteria to identify the profile of understanding of the concept of buffer solution material in class XII MIPA students of State Senior High School (SMAN) 3 Mataram in the 2024/2025 academic year. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) with reference to the 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) research model. The subjects of this study were 2 lecturers of chemistry education FKIP Unram and 2 chemistry teachers for the instrument validity test and class XII MIPA students of SMA Negeri 3 Mataram for the instrument practicality test. Data analysis techniques used include expert validity tests using Aikens'V analysis, empirical validity tests were analyzed using product-moment correlation techniques, reliability tests using Alpha Cronbach techniques, and practicality tests using percentage techniques. The three-tier diagnostic test instrument that has been developed meets the criteria of very feasible based on very valid expert validity with an Aikens'V value of 0.91, valid criteria based on empirical validity with a value range of 0.265 - 0.858, categorized as high based on reliability with a value of 0.7749, and very feasible based on practicality tests with a percentage value obtained of 81% - 100%. In the concept of buffer solution material, most students experienced misconceptions, namely 64.10% compared to students who understood the concept of 24.74%, 11.07% of students did not understand the concept, and 0.69% of students guessed.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate an educational magazine as supplementary reading material for chemistry education students, focusing on the phytochemical screening of renggak leaf extracts using methanol and ethanol as solvents. The development of this magazine was carried out using a 4D model which was carried out until the third stage. The three stages are Define, Design, and Develop. Validation was conducted by three experts, and the evaluation results, analyzed using the Aiken V formula, yielded a score of 0.86, categorized as highly valid. Practicality testing with students indicated a score of 88%, demonstrating that the magazine is effective and user-friendly as a learning medium. Thus, this magazine is a viable supplementary resource for chemistry education students, particularly in understanding secondary metabolite compounds and phytochemical screening. The novelty of this research lies in the development of a visual educational magazine based on the phytochemical screening of Amomum dealbatum leaves, which has not been previously presented in this format to support chemistry learning.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran merupakan proses komunikasi yang membutuhkan media yang bisa mewakili guru menyajikan informasi belajar kepada siswa sehingga pembelajaran kimia yang dianggap sulit dapat diatasi dengan adanya media yang telah banyak dikembangkan. Media pembelajran berupa majalah kimia dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar alternatif dan dirasa lebih efektif dibandingkan modul cetak, buku dan bahan ajar lainnya. Survey di 3 lokasi sekolah, yakni SMAN 1 Labuapi Lobar, SMAN 2 Gerung, dan SMA Hang Tuah Mataram menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari 80% siswanya menyatakan suka dengan pelajaran kimia namu merasa kesulitan memahami pelajaran dan bahkan merasa bosan dengan penjelasan dari guru karena kurangnya media bacaan yang menarik dan menyenangkan. Solusi yang diberikan adalah mengenalkan kepada siswa media ChemMag, yakni suatu media pembelajaran kimia bebentuk majalah dengan konten konsep-konsep kimia pada proses pembuatan minyak kelapa. Pembuatan minyak kelapa adalah salah satu etnokimia lokal masyarakat Lombok yang sudah familiar bagi siswa setempat. Mengambil sampel di SMA 6 Mataram sebagai tempat untuk melaksanakan sosialisasi tentang media ChemMag seri ke-6 brtujuan untuk meningkatkan antusisme siswa dalam pembelajarn kimia. Hasil kegiatan sosialisais ini tergambar dari nilai respon siswa dan guru kimia di sekolah tersebut terhadap beberapa aspek penilaian. Aspek kemenarikan masuk kategori sangat praktis dengan persentase sebesar 81.62%; dari aspek kemudahan penggunaan masuk kategori sangat praktis dengan nilai persentase 84.31%; dari aspek isi masuk kaegori sangat praktis dengan nilai kepraktisan 83.23%; dari aspek manfaat tergolong sangat praktis dengan persentase sebesar 83.27%. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil adalah: Siswa dan guru sangat tertarik dengan media majalah yang diperkenalkan; Respon siswa dan guru terhadap kegiatan sosialisasi media Chem Mag sangat bagus; Guru merasa tertarik untuk bekerjasama dengan tim pengabdian untuk mengembangkan media majalah pada tema yang lain di waktu yang akan datang.

Abstract

Banyak laporan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa mikrolastik sudah menjadi ancaman bagi kehidupan karena dapat memberikan dampak ekotoksikologi bagi biota laut yang kemudian bisa berdampak buruk kepada manusia. Bahaya ini berasal dari zat aditif (yang bersifat toksik) yang mengalami leaching-out di dalam sistem pencernaan mahluk hidup yang tanpa sadar mengkonsumsi mikroplastik. Salah satu bahaya yang nyata adalah mikroplastik dapat mengurangi kesuburan pria dan bisa menyebabkan demaskulinisasi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) yang dilakukan di SMAN 2 Mataram pada Augustus 2024 telah selesai dilaksanakan dengan baik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberi pemahaman kepada guru-guru di SMAN 2 Mataram akan bahaya mikroplastik terhadap biota laut dan manusia. Pemilihan target sasaran berdasarkan posisi guru yang sangat strategis sebagai agen perubahan. Bentuk kegiatan adalah berupa Sosialisasi Bahaya Mikroplastik terhadap Kesehatan Masyarakat untuk Keberlanjutan Lingkungan Laut yang Sehat yang dirancang dalam beberapa langkah pemaparan yang dimulai dari pretest-posttes, pemberian materi secara ekspositori diikuti dengan diskusi dan kuesioner untuk memeperoleh feed-back dari peserta. Pemaparan difokuskan pada ancaman bahaya mikroplastik terhadap biota laut dan kesehatan manusia. Selanjutnya diskusi dan tanya jawab yang konstruktif. Selama interaksi di ruang kelas, peserta terus riuh aktif mengikuti dan bertanya jawab dengan sesama mereka dan terutama dengan pemateri. Hasil dari kegiatan ini antara lain terjadi peningkatan pemahaman akan ancaman bahaya mikroplastik terhadap biota laut dan manusia dan pemahaman akan cara mereduksi ancaman tersebut. Rerata skor pretest ialah 25 – 45 dan rerata skor posttest ialah 55 -75 dari 32 responden. Diperoleh feedback yang positif dari peserta terhadap kegiatan yang disajikan. Selanjutnya, peserta juga mengungkapkan bahwa materi yang dipaparkan dapat memperkaya pembelajaran di kelas. Guru, sebagai agen perubahan juga berkomitmen menyebar luaskan pemahaman ini kepada murid dan masyarakat di sekitarnya dan komitmen paling menggembirakan adalah peserta akan berusaha ikut aktif mengurangi pelepasan limbah mikroplastik ke lingkungan.

Abstract

Metode pembelajaran eksperimen berbantuan media pembelajaran modul praktikum dapat memudahkan guru dan siswa untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran eksperimen berbantuan media modul praktikum terintegrasi green chemistry terhadap hasil belajar kimia siswa kelas XI MIPA SMAN 1 Keruak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest posttest control group design. Kelas XI MIPA 1 dan XI MIPA 2 terpilih sebagai sampel penelitian yang diambil dari populasi seluruh kelas XI MIPA SMAN 1 Keruak melalui teknik pengambilan cluster random sampling. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah metode pembelajaran eksperimen berbantuan media modul praktikum terintegrasi green chemistry untuk kelas eksperimen dan model pembelajaran konvensional untuk kelas kontrol, sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif. Data hasil belajar diperoleh dengan pemberian tes pilihan ganda di awal pertemuan (pretest) dan di akhir pertemuan (posttest). Pada penelitian ini, data dianalisis dengan uji N-Gain dan uji-t. Uji N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,50 lebih besar dari uji N-Gain kelas kontrol yaitu sebesar 0,15 yang menginformasikan bahwa perolehan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih besar daripada kelas kontrol. Pada uji anakova diperoleh nilai  (57,42) lebih besar daripada nilai  (4,01) yang menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan metode pembelajaran eksperimen berbantuan media modul praktikum terintegrasi green chemistry terhadap hasil belajar kimia siswa kelas XI MIPA SMAN 1 Keruak. Berdasarkan hasil uji N-Gain dan uji anakova tersebut disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran eksperimen berbantuan media modul praktikum terintegrasi green chemistry berpengaruh lebih baik terhadap hasil belajar kimia siswa kelas XI MIPA SMAN 1 Keruak.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of guided inquiry learning method based on PhET simulation on the learning outcomes of chemistry on acid-base material in class XI F students of SMA Negeri 1 Alas. The type of experimental research is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest research design. The population is 165 students with a sampling technique using purposive sampling, namely class XI F4 which consists of 33 students. Class determination is based on the number of students who do not meet the Learning Objective Completion Criteria (KKTP). Data collection techniques use test instruments, active observation, and questionnaires. The average pretest score is 21.5152 and the average posttest score is 79.3333. The results show that the average N-gain score is 0.71 with a high category. The t-test results obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Meanwhile, the percentage of student activity was 74.02% with a good category and student responses to learning were included in the very interested category with an average interest of 84.02%. The results of this study can be concluded that the use of guided inquiry learning methods based on PhET simulation on acid-base material can improve the chemistry learning outcomes of class XI F students of SMAN 1 Alas.
