Abstract

By definition, an ex-convict is someone who has served and completed their sentence in a prison in accordance with the decision of the criminal court and for the sake of a sense of legal justice. The experience of being an ex-convict has a far-reaching impact on their lives both internally and externally.  From the internal side, ex-convicts are insecure and have a borderline personality (emotional ups and downs very quickly). From the external side, families, churches, and communities reject their presence. Strong negative labeling of them (double punishment) makes them choose the safe path by withdrawing from the social environment. If ex-convicts are not properly trained, then the potential to become recidivists is very high. This study used qualitative research methods. The type of research used is a case study with a semi-structured interview technique method in order to obtain depth and sharpness of the truth of the results to be achieved. The object of the study was 18 ex-convicts consisting of 10 women and 8 men with an average age of 44.5 years with 90% of narcotics cases.   Menyandang status sebagai mantan narapidana berdampak luas pada kehidupan mereka baik secara internal maupun eksternal.  Labelisasi negatif yang kuat terhadap mereka (hukuman ganda) membuat mereka memilih jalan aman dengan menarik diri dari lingkungan sosial. Itulah sebabnya, mantan narapidana perlu mendapatkan pembinaan dengan metode yang tepat, jika tidak maka potensi menjadi residivis sangatlah tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektifitas teori spiritualitas dari Dallas Willard dalam pembinaan spiritualitas mantan narapidana di Yayasan Pelangi Bisat Nusantara Karawaci. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan adalah teknik wawancara semi terstruktur. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 18 informan yang terdiri dari 10 wanita dan 8 pria dengan usia rata-rata 44,5 tahun dengan 90% kasus narkotika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teori Spiritualitas Dallas Willard sangat efektif digunakan pada pembinaan mantan narapidana di Yayasan Pelangi Bisat Nusantara Karawaci. Alasannya adalah, teori tersebut sederhana dalam penerapannya dan tolak ukur yang digunakan sangat jelas. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi sumbangsih positif bagi komunitas, yayasan dan gereja yang memiliki keterpanggilan dalam melakukan pembinaan terhadap mantan narapidana.

Abstract

This study discusses three cultural change agents: Erasmus, Martin Luther, and Michelangelo. Each of these figures played a significant role in shaping the cultural landscape of their time, and their influence can still be felt today. Erasmus was a Dutch Renaissance humanist who promoted a return to classical learning and scholarship. His writings, which were critical of the established church, helped pave the way for the Protestant Reformation. Erasmus also advocated for the use of the vernacular in religious texts, making them more accessible to ordinary people. Martin Luther was a German theologian and monk who is best known for his role in the Protestant Reformation. Luther's ideas challenged the authority of the Catholic Church and led to the establishment of new Protestant denominations. Luther's translation of the Bible into German helped make religious texts more accessible to a wider audience. Michelangelo was an Italian Renaissance artist who made significant contributions to the fields of painting, sculpture, and architecture. His works, including the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and the sculpture of David, are considered masterpieces of Western art. Michelangelo's works helped redefine the possibilities of art and inspired future generations of artists. Together, Erasmus, Martin Luther, and Michelangelo represent a diverse set of cultural change agents who helped shape the course of Western culture. Their ideas and works continue to influence and inspire people today, reminding us of the enduring power of art, scholarship, and faith.

Abstract

Like other sorts of knowledge, thought, and behavior, Christian theology is influenced by the context in which it is employed. Contextual theology shows how thoroughly contextual Christian theology is. The significance of context has never been entirely disregarded in the development of contextual theology. The emphasis on context, however, has been most prominent at times when the Christian message appeared to be the least related to the circumstances in which it was being spoken. Indonesia as the largest archipelagic country in the world with hundreds of tribes and languages has made Indonesia an interesting place to study in developing contextual theology. Based on the various languages and ethnicities that have various kinds of differences, Indonesia is unique in building a down-to-earth theology in the archipelago. This article aims to find out how contextual theology becomes a liaison in bridging between the Word and the context to be able to provide understanding for both parties to God's truth based on synthesis contextual theology and culture in Indonesia. The research method used is qualitative literature research which is the process of studying books, references, and research results to get a better understanding of a problem or issue. This information is then used to build a theoretical foundation for future research.

Abstract

Male circumcision is often practiced across the world for a variety of reasons including health, medical necessity, beauty, tradition, or religion. Jews have practiced male circumcision since Abraham's time and continue until now. This practice is obligatory for Jewish males soon after they are born. In the New Testament, we read Paul talks about circumcision as the practice of Jewish belief, and for Christians, he said spiritual circumcision is the new law of the New Testament. Now, male circumcision is not only related to religion, and culture but connect to the health issue. The interpretation of religion, culture, and health become an interpretation debate over many years. There is Circumcision either improves or decreases male sexual function or satisfaction. It is critical to understand how male circumcision (MC), especially when performed in childhood, impacts men's sexual satisfaction and performance. The topic is also quite contentious. Our objective is to give a comprehensive study of the studies on the influence of male circumcision from Jewish, Christian, and health interpretations.

Abstract

Indonesia is the world's largest archipelagic country. Education is one aspect of life that can be used to promote and improve the quality of human resources (context of Christian religious education). There are numerous approaches for developing a traditional national education system in the sphere of education, notably teaching, and learning activities in the classroom. However, in the era of industrial digitalization 4.0, the education system that is currently emerging is the e-learning technique and educational information system (online learning) that has no space or time constraints. As a Pancasila State, Christian Religious Education is supposed to color the output of national education and the Church community in Indonesia. It is vital to develop to improve the quality and quantity of Christian Religious Education on a national scale. to improve both the quality and quantity of Christian Religious Education Nationally, it is required to create e-learning (online learning) in Christian schools, Theology schools, and other institutions to reach the Church community in Indonesia's numerous main, small, and distant islands. Especially those who have not been reached by teachers (teachers and lecturers) who are trustworthy and qualified in their professions, so that Christian human resources acquire quality Christian religious education and increase in number nationally. It is desired that millennial Christian human resources will flourish and bear fruit in the Church. Not only must one learn and then bear fruit, but one must also grow closer to God, as well as modify the circumstances, ethics, and Christian character that can provide the best for the development.   Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan terbesar di dunia. Pendidikan merupakan salah satu aspek kehidupan yang dapat digunakan untuk memajukan dan meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia (konteks pendidikan agama Kristen). Ada banyak pendekatan untuk mengembangkan sistem pendidikan nasional tradisional di bidang pendidikan, terutama kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas. Namun di era digitalisasi industri 4.0, sistem pendidikan yang sedang berkembang saat ini adalah teknik e-learning dan sistem informasi pendidikan (online learning) yang tidak memiliki batasan ruang dan waktu. Sebagai Negara Pancasila, Pendidikan Agama Kristen sudah seharusnya mewarnai output pendidikan nasional dan masyarakat gereja di Indonesia. Sangat penting untuk dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam skala nasional. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas Pendidikan Agama Kristen Secara Nasional, perlu dibuat e-learning (pembelajaran online) di sekolah-sekolah Kristen, sekolah teologi, dan lembaga lainnya untuk menjangkau komunitas gereja di berbagai pulau utama, kecil, dan jauh di Indonesia. Terutama yang belum terjangkau oleh guru (guru dan dosen) yang amanah dan berkualitas dalam profesinya, sehingga sumber daya manusia Kristen memperoleh pendidikan agama Kristen yang berkualitas dan meningkat jumlahnya secara nasional. Diharapkan sumber daya manusia Kristen milenial tumbuh subur dan berbuah di Gereja. Bukan hanya harus belajar lalu berbuah, tetapi juga harus semakin mendekatkan diri kepada Tuhan, serta mengubah keadaan, etika, dan karakter kristiani yang dapat memberikan yang terbaik bagi perkembangannya.

Abstract

Learning management is an important thing in the process of teaching and learning activities, learning management influences student achievement in academic and non-academic activities. The purpose of this study is based on learning management to improve early childhood cognitive abilities by using the storytelling method and the question-and-answer method. This type of research is the bibliography, the data collected in this study are two types of data, namely primary data, and secondary data. Data obtained from library research (library). The data collection technique used by this researcher is a literature study. The data analysis technique in this study used qualitative analysis techniques in a deductive way. The research results obtained that the storytelling method and the questioning method play an important role in improving the cognitive development of early childhood which can make it easier for children to carry out teaching and learning activities.    Manajemen pembelajaran merupakan hal penting dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar, manajemen pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap prestasi peserta didik dalam kegiatan Akademik dan non akademik. Tujuan penelitian ini Berdasarkan manajemen pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak usia dini dengan menggunakan metode bercerita dan metode Tanya jawab, Jenis penelitian ini adalah bibliografi, data yang dikumpulkan dalam studi ini adalah dua jenis data yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Data diperoleh dari riset kepustakaan (library). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti ini adalah studi kepustakaan. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan teknik analisa kualitatif dengan cara deduktif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa metode bercerita dan metode bertanya sangat berperan penting dalam meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini dapat memudahkan anak dalam melakukan kegiatan belajar mengajar.

Abstract

Christian religious education requires a strategy. Christian Education is the education of Christian teachings that emphasize aspects of knowledge, attitudes, values, and even skills based on the Christian faith itself. With the strategy amid Christian Education, Christian Education can achieve the goals that should be implemented, especially among plural communities. A plural society is a society consisting of two or more elements that live independently without any renewal of each other in political unity. To make a Christian Education strategy in a plural society itself, we must know how the life of the plural society is first, after that we realize the Christian Education. Just as we can learn from the Lord Jesus' teaching about preaching the gospel in crowds. While doing the ministry, Jesus encountered various people with different characters. Not a few of them liked the teaching that Jesus preached, there were even some people who rejected the teaching and did not like Jesus, but despite the many challenges that Jesus experienced while doing the ministry, it did not prevent him from continuing to bind the gospel in various places. Finally, this study explains how to teach Christian Education in a pluralistic society by imitating the way Jesus did as mandated in Matthew 28:16-20.   Pendidikan Agama Kristen memerlukan yang namanya strategi. Pendidikan Agama Kristen adalah pendidikan ajaran-ajaran kekristenan yang menekankan pada aspek pengetahuan, sikap dan nilai-nilai bahkan keterampilan yang berdasarkan kepada iman Kristen itu sendiri. Dengan adanya strategi ditengah Penddidikan Agama Kristen tersebut membuat Pendidikan Agama Kristen tersebut dapat mencapai tujuan yang seharusnya terlaksanakan, terutama di kalangan masyarakat majemuk. Masyarakat majemuk adalah masyarakat yang terdiri dari dua atau lebih elemen yang hidup sendiri-sendiri tanpa adanya pembaruan satu sama lain dalam kesatuan politik. Untuk membuat strategi Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam masyarakat majemuk itu sendiri, kita harus mengetahui bagaimana kehidupan masyarakat majemuk tersebut terlebih dahulu, setelah itu barulah kita merealisasikan Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Seperti halnya kita dapat belajar dari pengajaran Tuhan Yesus tentang memberitakan Injil ditengah orang banyak. Ketika melakukan pelayanan Yesus menjumpai berbagai orang dengan karakter yang berbeda-beda. Tidak sedikit dari mereka yang suka akan pengajaran yang Yesus sampaikan, bahkan terdapat sebagian orang juga yang menolak akan ajaran itu, dan tidak suka kepada Yesus, namun meskipun banyak sekali tantangan yang Yesus alami ketika melakukan pelayanan, hal itu tidak menghambatnya untuk terus memberikatan Injil di berbagai tempat. Akhirnya penelitian ini menjelaskan bagaimana melakukan pengajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen ditengah masyarakat majemuk dengan mencontoh cara yang Yesus lakukan seperti diamanatkan dalam Injil Matius 28:16-20.

Abstract

Technological developments in the 21st century have made enormous changes in modern human civilization today. Internet technology has changed every human life using innovative technology in the palm. In the context of education, especially this visualization learning strategy, this is the impact of renewable learning strategies that help the world of education dashed, measurably and easily accessible anytime and anywhere. Research on the impact of learning strategies through visualization in Christian education in the era of Society 5.0 shows that the challenge of using innovative technology is one of the benefits both educators and students face to innovate in teaching. The most crucial question in education today is the impact of implementing effective visual learning strategies for students in the era of Society 5.0. The result is that the effectiveness of Christian religious education learning strategies through visualization can be measured by the method's ability to enable the target students to achieve the desired learning outcomes of instruction.

Abstract

Deuteronomy 6:4-9, also known as the Shema, provides a strong foundation for the formation of Christian faith. In the context of the church, Christian Education teaching can be implemented through several relevant and effective approaches. Christian Education teachers can guide children in understanding and internalizing the fundamental teachings of the oneness of God, love and obedience to Him, and the importance of keeping His commandments. This approach allows children to deeply understand the basic teachings of the Christian faith. The purpose of this study is the application of the values ​​contained in Deuteronomy 6:4-9 in everyday life, Christian Education teachers can help children understand the relevance and practical application of these teachings in the context of their lives. This can be done through stories, illustrations, and concrete examples that illustrate how these values ​​can be lived and practiced in various life situations. By actively involving parents and the church community, children can be placed in an environment that strengthens the values ​​of faith taught in Deuteronomy 6:4-9. Through the implementation of holistic PAK teaching integrated with the teachings of Deuteronomy 6:4-9, it is hoped that the younger generation in the congregation of the New Jerusalem Bethel Gospel Church, Surabaya, can grow in strong faith and be able to face spiritual challenges in their lives. Kitab Ulangan 6:4-9, yang juga dikenal sebagai Syema, memberikan dasar yang kuat bagi pembentukan iman Kristen. Dalam konteks gereja tersebut, pengajaran PAK dapat diimplementasikan melalui beberapa pendekatan yang relevan dan efektif. Guru PAK dapat membimbing anak-anak dalam memahami dan menginternalisasi ajaran fundamental tentang keesaan Allah, cinta dan ketaatan kepada-Nya, serta pentingnya memelihara perintah-Nya. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan anak-anak untuk memahami secara mendalam ajaran-ajaran dasar dalam iman Kristen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam Kitab Ulangan 6:4-9 dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, para guru PAK dapat membantu anak-anak dalam memahami relevansi dan aplikasi praktis dari ajaran tersebut dalam konteks kehidupan mereka. Ini dapat dilakukan melalui cerita, ilustrasi, dan contoh konkret yang menggambarkan bagaimana nilai-nilai tersebut dapat dihayati dan diamalkan dalam berbagai situasi kehidupan. Dengan melibatkan orang tua dan komunitas gereja secara aktif, anak-anak dapat ditempatkan dalam lingkungan yang memperkuat nilai-nilai iman yang diajarkan dalam Kitab Ulangan 6:4-9. Melalui implementasi pengajaran PAK yang holistik dan terintegrasi dengan ajaran Kitab Ulangan 6:4-9, diharapkan generasi muda dalam jemaat Gereja Bethel Injil Sepenuh Yerusalem Baru, Surabaya, dapat tumbuh dalam iman yang kokoh dan mampu menghadapi tantangan spiritual dalam kehidupan mereka.

Abstract

This study examines the theology of God's wrath as expressed in Numbers 12:9, focusing on textual and contextual analysis. The verse describes God's response to Miriam and Aaron's actions in questioning the authority of Moses, God's chosen leader for the Israelites. Using a hermeneutic approach, this study explores the historical, social, and theological background of the event. The findings of the study indicate that God's wrath in Numbers 12:9 is not only an expression of anger but also a disciplinary action that aims to teach and correct His people. God's wrath reflects His justice and holiness and reinforces the importance of obedience and respect for God's established authority. The historical context shows that Miriam and Aaron's actions are a form of rebellion against the divine order that results in serious consequences. This study concludes that God's wrath in Numbers 12:9 functions as a teaching and corrective mechanism that aims to maintain the loyalty and obedience of the Israelites to God. This understanding provides deeper insight into the nature of God's wrath in Old Testament theology, namely as a manifestation of God's love, justice, and desire to guide His people towards righteousness
