Abstract

The salting is one of the traditional methods of processing fishery products that have an important role both in business and efforts to fulfill protein. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of salt concentration and soaking time on the sensory value of flying fish. The organoleptic testing, total plate count, and analysis using a completely randomized design (CRD). Salting of fish with the total water method used is 4.5 liters using bulk salt for the treatment of A1 300 grams, A2 1 kg and A3 1.5 kg. The process of drying saltting fish using sunlight during the drying process from the morning at 08.00-16.00 WIT depending on the weather conditions drying process 3-5 days with an average temperature of 28-33 oC. Organoleptic test results of salting flying fish that have the best value, namely for the appearance with A3 treatment for salt concentration of 1 Kg with a value of 8.84, for the A2 salt odor concentration of 1 Kg with a value of 8.56, taste A2 with a salt concentration of 1 Kg with a value of 8.12, A3 texture for 1.5 Kg salt concentration with a value of 8.76. Meanwhile, for the ALT test, the smallest bacterial value is 1 Kg A2 with a value 1.1. Thus, salted fly fish products are still suitable for consumption.

Abstract

Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Penelitian Pre-Eksperimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran matematika melalui penerapan Pembelajaran model STAD dengan Pendekatan Matematika Realistik. Desain penelitian ini digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah one-group pretest-postest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Mandalle tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 dan selanjutnya dipilih satu kelas sebagai sampel penelitian yang diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran model STAD dengan Pendekatan Matematika Realistik dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, angket, dan tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil analisis menunjukkan 90% siswa mencapai ketuntasan individu, nilai rata-rata gain ternormalisasi siswa sebesar 0,76 yang berada pada kategori tinggi, Rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa sebesar 94,70% siswa aktif, persentase respon positif siswa sebesar 92,38%, rata- rata posttest sebesar 80,67 yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan pendekatan matematika realistik pada pokok bahasa teorema phytagoras efektif diterapkan pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Mandalle. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran model STAD dengan Pendekatan Matematika Realistik

Abstract

This paper undertakes a comprehensive exploration of the intricate interplay between project-based learning (PBL), economic variables, and marketing outcomes, delving into their multifaceted intersectionality. By meticulously examining how economic conditions influence the implementation of PBL initiatives and subsequently affect marketing efficacy, this study aims to offer valuable insights beneficial to educators, policymakers, and marketers. Employing a multifaceted analytical framework, we delve into the nuanced ways in which socioeconomic status impacts the adoption and effectiveness of PBL strategies, and how these strategies, in turn, shape marketing approaches and outcomes. Drawing on both empirical research and theoretical constructs, we illuminate the complex dynamics between education, economics, and marketing, providing a holistic perspective that reveals avenues for enhancing educational practices and optimizing market performance.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out the “Think-Pair-Share Strategy” to enhance speaking skill of the students of the Pesantren DDI Baruga, Majene. This research used pre-experimental design with one-group pretest-posttest. The population in this research is the second-year students of Pesantren DDI Baruga in academic year 2023/2024. This research used purposive sampling technique which the sample of the research was Class XI IPA at Pesantren DDI Baruga, which has 30 students. The findings of this research that there is a significant improve in students speaking skill after the students were given treatments. It can be seen by the mean score between the pre-test (60.70) and the post-test (68.76). Based on students’ mean score, it shows that the Think-Pair-Share as a strategy was able to improve students’ speaking skill. This strategy can demand and force the students to be actively in the learning process especially in speaking skill. Besides, this strategy also can be used as an alternative or guide for teacher to attract student enthusiasm in learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of problem-based learning (PBL) strategies can improve students' reading comprehension in English language learning. This study used a pre-experimental approach with a total sample of 15 students of class XI Kriya dan Kayu of SMKN 3 Gowa. In this study, data collection was carried out by conducting pre-test, post-test, and test. The results of data analysis showed that the use of problem-based learning strategies (PBL) can improve students' reading comprehension. This can be proven by the t-test value lower than P (0.000 < 0.05) which means that H0 of this study is rejected and H1 is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the use of problem-based learning (PBL) can improve students' reading comprehension in class XI of Kriya dan Kayu of SMKN 3 Gowa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of applying English chat on students' English vocabulary mastery through the WhatsApp application. It employs a qualitative research method with a qualitative descriptive design involving 10 students. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The study reveals several impacts on students' English vocabulary mastery as a result of using English chats on WhatsApp, including improvements in word meaning, contextual usage, spelling, pronunciation, and understanding of word forms. However, there is a noted limitation regarding pronunciation development due to the nature of WhatsApp as a communication application, suggesting that face-to-face learning may be more effective in this aspect. Students perceive the impact of using English chats on WhatsApp positively, as they enjoy the learning experience and find teachers responsive to their questions. WhatsApp is regarded as a user-friendly application with potential educational benefits, accessible anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VIII UPT SPF SMP Negeri 13 Makassar dengan penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri dan pembelajaran langsung. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII UPT SPF SMP Negeri 13 Makassar pada semester genap tahuan ajaran 2023/2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian adalah pretest and posttest control group design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cluster random sampling dengan dua kelas terpilih. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua instrumen yaitu tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (posttest). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deksriptif, diperoleh kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol adalah tinggi. Sedangkan hasil yang diperoleh dari analisis inferensial dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VIII UPT SPF SMP Negeri 13 Makassar. Kata kunci: Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the students understanding concept in terms of understanding the concept as well, understanding the concept but not sure, misconception, and not knowing the concept of exponent using Certainty of Response Index (CRI). The type of this study is qualitative study with descriptive approach. The subject of this study is 11 subjects who represent each level of conceptual understanding from class XI of Senior High School. The instruments of this study consist of objective test and interview guidelines. Level of conceptual understanding categorized using CRI category. The result of this study showed that: (1) The students understand with the concept as well because of their high motivation in learning and their love with mathematics. (2) The students understand with the concept but not sure because of their lack in self-confidence, their high false fear, lack in mastering the mathematic concept, and do not careful in answering the questions. (3) The Students experiencing misconceptions that caused by a lack of understanding, and even a misunderstanding towards the concept. (4) The students do not understand/ do not know the concept caused by their haven’t knowledge in answer the question of eksponent, their lack of ability and insight in working on the questions, lack of mastering the concept, not understanding the questions, and the students lack ability in transform the questions.

Abstract

This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach aimed at describing the mathematical literacy skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Malunda, Majene Regency. There are 6 subjects selected based on high, medium and low mathematical abilities. Data collection techniques used were tests and interviews. The instruments used in obtaining the data were tests of mathematical literacy skills and interviews. The data analysis techniques used are data condensation, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that of the 6 levels of mathematical literacy ability in PISA, students with high mathematical abilities fulfilled 3 levels, students with moderate mathematical abilities fulfilled 1 level, and students with low mathematical abilities did not fulfill the 6 levels of mathematical literacy ability in PISA.

Abstract

This study was an experimental study involving two treated groups. This study aims to find out a differences in understanding of mathematical concepts between students taught using the Mind Mapping method and the Guided Note Taking method. The study sample consisted of two classes selected using the cluster random sampling technique . Data collection is done by using observation sheets and concept understanding test instruments. Data collected was analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results showed that there are significant differences between increasing understanding of mathematical concepts of students taught by Mind Mapping learning methods and students taught using Guided Note Taking learning methods in class VIII.
