Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Flipped Digital Classroom (FDC) method in enhancing social science education by integrating digital-based learning through Google Classroom, Zoom Meeting, and social media. Using a quasi-experimental design, the study compares the FDC group, which received technology-based flipped learning, with a control group that followed a conventional lecture approach. The results indicate that the FDC method significantly improves students' social science learning outcomes, with an average score of 73.49 compared to 67.72 in the control group (p = 0.0). Student engagement, measured through behavioral, emotional, and cognitive aspects, also positively contributes to learning outcomes, particularly among students with high engagement levels. These findings confirm that FDC has the potential to revolutionize social science education by enhancing student engagement and achievement. Therefore, it is recommended that educators implement FDC and that schools support it with adequate training and technological infrastructure.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance the healthy quality of life of the elderly in Nagari Sungai Buluh, Batang Anai Subdistrict, Padang Pariaman Regency, by preventing degenerative diseases. The program employed a community-based research approach, incorporating complementary nursing care based on traditional medicine and elderly exercise programs. Its primary objectives were to establish a Healthy Family Community through an integrated Posyandu (health post), promote healthy exercise among the elderly, and empower Posyandu cadres to advocate for healthy living behaviors and regular health check-ups for the elderly. The results indicated an improvement in the community's health status and knowledge about maintaining a healthy family through complementary nursing care and elderly exercise programs. The initiative also successfully raised awareness about the importance of health and complementary care for the elderly, including exercise guidance and health check-ups. Furthermore, the activity provided health check-up services for toddlers in the foster village. The integration of complementary nursing care and elderly exercise programs within the Posyandu framework proved effective in improving the health and well-being of the elderly in Nagari Sungai Buluh.

Abstract

This research explores educational innovation in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and the challenges they face in the era of 5.0. Pesantren, as traditional educational institutions in Indonesia, have undergone significant changes in their efforts to remain relevant in an increasingly interconnected and modern world. In this context, the study takes a qualitative approach to understand how pesantren integrate technology, design integrated curricula, and adopt innovative teaching approaches to meet the demands of the 5.0 era. The research findings reveal that many pesantren have initiated the process of educational innovation. They have integrated digital technology into learning, designed integrated curricula with an emphasis on religious and general subjects, and adopted project-based learning approaches. This educational transformation aims to prepare students with 21st-century skills that are relevant, such as digital literacy, problem-solving, and creativity. However, the study also identifies several challenges faced by pesantren. Technology integration remains a hurdle, especially in rural areas where access and training are inadequate. Teacher training in the use of technology and innovative teaching methods is essential, and preserving traditional values while advancing education is a challenge that requires creative thinking. In conclusion, this research provides a comprehensive overview of the efforts of pesantren in educational innovation in the face of the 5.0 era. While there are challenges to be overcome, positive steps have been taken to ensure that pesantren remain relevant educational institutions in Indonesian society.

Abstract

Pendampingan pemberdayaan ini merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatan layanan perpustakaan yang selama ini masih berlangsung secara manual. Sistem manual menyebabkan proses peminjaman dan pengembalian bahan pustaka berjalan lambat. Selain itu, pemustaka masih menggunakan media kertas untuk mengisi buku tamu serta mencari informasi pustaka lainnya, yang dinilai kurang efisien dan tidak ramah lingkungan. Tujuan pendampingan ini adalah memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam mengoperasikan serta memanfaatkan komputer guna mendukung layanan perpustakaan yang lebih modern. Metode yang digunakan adalah  Participatory Action Research  (PAR), di mana pustakawan dan dosen terlibat aktif dalam proses identifikasi masalah, perancangan solusi, hingga implementasi layanan otomasi perpustakaan. Kegiatan meliputi pembuatan daftar buku tamu digital, kartu anggota, sistem peminjaman dan pengembalian buku berbasis komputer, serta pengembangan OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog). Hasilnya, proses layanan menjadi lebih efisien. Jika sebelumnya hanya 10 orang dapat dilayani dalam waktu istirahat 20 menit, kini meningkat menjadi 20 orang. Pendampingan ini menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi dapat mempercepat dan mempermudah layanan perpustakaan secara signifikan.

Abstract

Education is an inevitable effort in shaping individuals into quality human beings, yet often spirituality is sidelined. In this research, we explore the integration of spiritual development in education using the Rumi approach and its impact on student achievement. Through literature review, we found that this approach significantly influences student achievement. Integrating spiritual values into the curriculum enhances students' intrinsic motivation, happiness in learning, and mental resilience. The findings highlight the importance of integrating spiritual development in education to enhance overall student achievement. Practical implications of this research include the need for curriculum renewal, teacher training, and school environments that support holistic spiritual growth of students. These steps are crucial to ensure that education not only shapes intellectual intelligence but also nurtures balanced individuals holistically.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the planning, implementation process, evaluation, and factors that influence the use of the Iqra' method in improving the ability to read the Qur'an at SDIT Da'i Qur'an. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analysed in depth. The results showed that: first, the planning of learning Iqra‘ method begins with the establishment of specific learning objectives, the selection of materials that are in accordance with the ability of students, and the provision of Iqra’ books for each student. Second, the implementation of learning includes the introduction of hijaiyah letters, stringing letters, the introduction of punctuation marks such as mad, tanwin, sukun, waqaf, and tajweed terms. Third, the evaluation is done by observing and listening to students' reading during the learning session, where students are asked to repeat the reading until they achieve fluency without tajweed and makhraj errors. Fourth, there are supporting factors, such as adequate learning modules, teachers‘ ability to apply the Iqra’ method, and parental support. However, some inhibiting factors were identified, such as limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as students' low interest in learning who are more likely to play.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang hendak dibahas dalam pengabdian ini memberikan edukasi kepada orang tua untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental di Nagari Padang Bintungan Kecamatan NanSabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi dalammeningkatkan kesehatan mental orang tua (Studi kasus Nagari Padang Bintungan Kecamatan Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman). Metode pendekatan pengabdian ini adalah metode ceramah, demonstrasi dan latihan yang disertai tanya jawabmetode ceramah, demonstrasi dan latihan yang disertai tanya jawab. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: 1) bentuk Edukasi Spritual untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental orang tua di Nagari Padang Bintungan Kecamatan Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan nasihat-nasihat islami, , hal ini dapat dilihat dari minimnya pengetahuan para orang tua tentang perannya sebagai orang tua menurut syariat islam, sehingga mereka membutuhkan nasihat-nasihat islami apalagikendala mereka yang sulit menjaga kesehatan mental dikarenakan terbatasnya waktu dan kesibukan orang tua dalam kehidupan sehari- hari, serta kurangnya wawasan dan pengalaman yang dimiliki oleh orang tua, sehingga mereka kurang mampu mengontrol, mengawasi serta mengendalikan segala kegiatan serta aktivitas anak di kehidupan sehari-hari. 2) beberapa faktor yang mengganggu kesehatan mental orang tua adalah kesibukan orang tua dalam bekerja sehari-hari, masuknya berbagai budaya baru pengaruh dunia yang sering disebut dengan milenial.Sebagai contoh yang ditemukan oleh peneliti yaitu adanya teknologi seperti televisi, internet, handphone yang memiliki konten-konten yang barbau pornografi atau game online.

Abstract

Method in the process of learning the Qur'an. This community service aims to explore the impact of using the kitabah method on the memorization skills of the students. The community service applies a community-based research method, conducting community research to improve Qur'anic reading skills using the kitabah method. The assistance activities include improving the quality of the students' memorization and understanding of the verses through several steps. First, students must understand tajweed and the pronunciation of letters. The memorization is written repeatedly with a focus on accuracy, and students read their writings repeatedly to reinforce memory through visual and motor activities. The results of the assistance show a significant improvement in the students' tahsin and tahfiz skills. This method is very effective in accelerating pronunciation, tajweed, and memorization abilities. This activity has made a positive contribution to the students in enhancing their tajweed skills and Qur'anic memorization. Keywords: kitabah method, skill development, student memorization

Abstract

The 40th prayer is a prayer that is performed in congregation within 40 days. This prayer is mostly performed by people who are getting older, both men and women. They usually live in the surau where the 40 prayers are held, the 40 prayers are usually led by a lord, in this case the implementation of the 40 prayers can increase the congregation's discipline in prayer services so that their prayers can be disciplined according to the specified time. Korong Sungai Community From another perspective, durian is a good tradition in order to get used to praying in congregation. This tradition of praying 40 days in congregation takes place every year, in 2024 the Islamic Institute will hold a real work lecture at Korang Sungai Durian and participate in the running of the tradition of 40 prayers, starting from 1 August 2024 to 9 September 2024. This research The aim is to find out the impact of implementing 40 prayers in order to improve the worship discipline of the Jambak Kalawi surau congregation. The main focus of this research is to see how the congregation participates in the 40 prayers that have been carried out.

Abstract

Emile Durkheim saw the social order of society emphasizes the importance of consensus, harmony, and equilibrium. To emerge the consensus harmony and equality of community-oriented should do creating the homogeneity and cultural values aimed for maintaining the social community order. This paper reveals the thought of Durkheim about the theory of consensus harmony and equilibrium based on maintaining a balance between knowledge, moral practice reasoning with ethical values ?? in the society through character education. The thinking side revealed how the public responds to changes in a dynamic culture of uncertainty with built social and cultural functions based on functional structure theory. This study discovers the education role in creating a moral being in modern society and moral being in building harmonic. It balanced with social functions through the solution to prevent and resolve any social pathology as the impact of the negative perception from social media. This expected explanation from this library research providing a positive contribution to character education and behavior to the society reviewed from the anthropological education study. The implication of this study for educators is the importance of building character and behavior order in the community comprehensively, kept up-to instill moral values, virtues, honest, law-abiding, and tolerance in creating a Madani's social life.
