Abstract

Indigenous peoples, especially the Dayak Kanayant tribe in West Kalimantan, play a key ecological role in protecting the environment for generations through local wisdom. The position of the community is sometimes marginalized and marginalized and even conflicts with oil palm plantation companies cannot be avoided. Many reports show that sometimes customary land rights are grabbed, resulting in agrarian conflicts that lead to violations that require legal action by the police and courts. Applied research entitled “Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) of Indigenous Peoples in Environmental Management in Landak Regency”. This research aims: to find out the local wisdom of Dayak indigenous peoples in managing the environment through TEK to support environmental sustainability in overcoming climate change and deforestation issues that occur in West Kalimantan. A survey research method with a case study model was used to achieve the research objectives. Data collection used the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method, in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The results revealed that Dayak indigenous people have awareness and motivation in forest and environmental conservation activities in the norms and customary rules that apply in Landak Regency. Customary Forests are still considered sacred to the Dayak community so that they are highly preserved, the majority of people work by farming and planting. The traditional agricultural ceremony (bahuma) carried out by the Dayak Kanayan Community in Saham and Paloan Villages is a process from the initial farming activities to the activities of harvesting rice with wisdom and cultural heritage. Determination of the sample was determined using the purposive sampling method. Purposive sampling is a research sampling technique by fulfilling certain elements. From the criteria that have been set, this study obtained a sample of 53 companies with a total sample for 5 observation periods totaling 265 samples. After all the data was obtained, it was then analyzed using the IBM SPSS statistics software program version 26, namely using the multiple linear regression analysis method. The results of the study showed that the exchange rate and inflation did not affect financial distress in financial sector companies listed on the IDX for the 2019-2023 period.

Abstract

This research examines the role of Dayak customary law in environmental conservation, focusing on sustainable natural resource management. It explores how practices such as land-use restrictions, sacred forest protection, and conservation rituals contribute to ecosystem preservation. The study also identifies conflicts between customary law and national policies, particularly regarding land tenure and resource exploitation by industries. Using a normative legal approach, the research analyzes Indonesia’s legal framework, including the 1945 Constitution, the Forestry Law, and the Environmental Protection Law. Through case studies in Kalimantan, the study highlights the effectiveness of these practices in conserving the environment. The findings indicate that while customary law plays a crucial role in conservation, its potential is hindered by insufficient recognition and alignment with national laws. The study recommends enhancing the formal recognition of customary law through clearer legal frameworks, improving collaboration with local governments, and providing capacity-building programs for indigenous communities to ensure sustainable resource management.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the complex relationship between deforestation, national development policies, and forest governance challenges in Indonesia. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach through literature review and policy analysis, the research reveals that Indonesia’s development model largely driven by extractive industries such as palm oil, mining, and logging has significantly contributed to the ongoing loss of tropical forest cover. The findings indicate that poor institutional coordination, overlapping regulations, tenure conflicts, and limited community participation are key barriers to achieving sustainable and equitable forest management. Moreover, while programs such as social forestry and customary forest recognition have shown potential in reducing deforestation, their effectiveness depends heavily on legal clarity, local institutional capacity, and consistent support from government stakeholders. This study emphasizes the urgent need for structural reform in forest policy, enhancement of local governance capacity, and multi-stakeholder collaboration to balance economic development with environmental conservation and social justice.

Abstract

Labor productivity is a key driver of economic growth, yet Indonesia continues to face structural challenges related to wage policy and employment stability. This study aims to analyze the effect of minimum wage and job insecurity on labor productivity in Indonesia’s formal sector. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, the study combines secondary provincial data with primary survey data measuring perceived job insecurity. Multiple linear regression analysis, including an interaction term, is applied to examine both direct and moderating effects. The results show that minimum wage has a positive and significant effect on labor productivity, while job insecurity has a negative effect. Furthermore, job insecurity weakens the positive relationship between minimum wage and productivity, indicating that employment instability reduces the effectiveness of wage policy. These findings highlight that productivity outcomes are influenced not only by economic factors but also by employment conditions and institutional quality. The study concludes that minimum wage policy can enhance productivity when supported by stable employment conditions and effective regulatory enforcement. Without employment security, wage increases may produce limited or inconsistent productivity gains. Therefore, an integrated policy approach that combines wage regulation, employment protection, and institutional strengthening is essential to achieve sustainable productivity growth in Indonesia’s formal sector.

Abstract

Economic growth has long been regarded as a central objective of development policy, yet conventional growth models that emphasize capital accumulation and labor expansion increasingly face criticism for their inability to address environmental degradation, economic inequality, and structural transformation in modern economies. These limitations highlight the need for a new economic growth framework that integrates innovation, institutional stability, inclusiveness, and sustainability. This study aims to analyze the conceptual foundations of a new growth model that synthesizes these dimensions to support balanced and resilient economic development. The research employs a qualitative approach based on a systematic literature review of accredited academic journals and relevant scholarly publications. Data were collected from recent empirical and theoretical studies related to economic growth, financial inclusion, innovation, and sustainable development, and analyzed using qualitative content analysis and conceptual synthesis techniques. The findings indicate that innovation, particularly through digital technology and financial innovation, significantly enhances productivity and supports sectoral transformation. Institutional stability and effective governance strengthen the long-term impact of innovation on economic development, while inclusive financial systems expand access to economic opportunities and reduce inequality. Furthermore, sustainability-oriented policies are essential to ensure that economic growth remains environmentally responsible. In conclusion, a multidimensional growth model that integrates innovation, stability, inclusiveness, and sustainability provides a more comprehensive framework for achieving equitable and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Sustainable economy and green growth have become essential approaches to addressing the global challenge of balancing economic development with environmental sustainability and social welfare. This study aims to analyze how green growth strategies contribute to sustainable economic development through the integration of environmental, economic, and social dimensions. A qualitative research design with a descriptive-exploratory approach was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and focus group discussions involving policymakers, experts, and stakeholders. The data were analyzed using thematic and content analysis to identify key patterns and relationships among variables. The results indicate that renewable energy development, green innovation, policy instruments, institutional governance, and sustainable natural resource management significantly contribute to environmentally friendly economic growth. These factors support the decoupling of economic growth from environmental degradation while promoting efficiency and long-term stability. The findings also highlight the importance of inclusive policies, such as green job creation and social protection, in ensuring equitable benefits of green growth. In conclusion, green growth is a comprehensive strategy that enables sustainable economic development by aligning economic progress with environmental protection and social inclusion. Effective implementation requires integrated policies, strong institutions, and continuous innovation.
