Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Visually differentiating banana cultivar with high similarity in shape, color and peel texture requires skill and experience during harvesting to reduce mistake on identifying cultivar. This study aims to identify automatically some similar banana cultivars using banana finger imagery and computer vision. The identification process was carried out to distinguish two groups of bananas with high similarities, namely group 1 (Ambon, Hijau, Goroho) and group 2 (Barlin, Mas). The test was conducted on the pair of datasets of unripe Ambon-Hijau-Goroho, ripe Hijau-Goroho, ripe and unripe Barlin-Mas. Testing was done to determine the performance of identification and to find out the most effective characteristics that could be used as cultivar identification. Results of classification using extreme learning machine (ELM) showed that texture features extracted from local binary pattern (LBP) could accurately distinguish unripe Ambon-Goroho, unripe Goroho-Hijau, ripe Goroho-Hijau with 100% accuracy. While unripe Ambon-Hijau, unripe Barlin-Mas and ripe Barlin-Mas could be optimally distinguished using a combination of shape and peel texture features with accuracy of 93.39%, 89.68%, 99.31% respectively. This result indicated that the proposed method could be used as an alternative of automatic banana sortation during post-harvest. The use of shape and peel texture features had shown effectively differentiating these high similarity banana cultivars.

Abstract

The transformation program of Regional Development Bank (BPD) was created to overcome its problems. The success of the transformation of Regional Development Bank is influenced by several factors. This paper discusses several factors that are thought to influence the transformation of BPD, namely: regional economic growth, learning and growth perspective, nation's culture, organizational culture, public policy, bank health level, regional autonomy (Otoda), BPD leadership style, and BPD sustainable competitive advantage. The results of the study show that the factors that significantly influence the success of BPD Transformation in Indonesia in 2024 are learning and growth perspective, nation’s culture, organizational culture, public policy, bank health level, regional autonomy and BPD sustainable competitive advantage. The nation’s culture variable acts as the strongest driver and BPD sustainable competitive advantage variable is the strongest obstacle to the success of BPD transformation in Indonesia in 2024.

Abstract

Introduction: Colorectal cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the world. Stage IV colorectal cancer are often late for treatment and have poor prognosis. Knowledge and attitude factors are known to play a role in treatment delay. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes on treatment delay of stage IV colorectal cancer patients at Saiful Anwar Hospital, Malang (RSSA). Material and Methods: The research design was a cause-effect retrospective study conducted at RSSA from June 2021 to December 2021. Measurement of patient knowledge and attitudes using questionnaires while patient delays in seeking treatment are obtained from medical records. Statistical analysis using structural equation modelling (SEM) using the WarpPLS application with a significance level of p<0.05. Results: The result of this research indicated that the knowledge of symptoms is associated with the patient's anxiety attitude (p<0.01; r=-0.31) and attitude to screening (p=0.03; r=0.21). Knowledge of a healthy lifestyle was associated with attitudes to screening (p<0.01; r=0.27). Screening attitude was associated with treatment delay in colorectal cancer patients (p<0.01; r=-0.42). Conclusion: The conclusion is the knowledge and attitudes of patients about colorectal cancer are associated with the treatment delay. Increasing knowledge and attitudes of patients can reduce the treatment delay on stage IV colorectal cancer patients to come to RSSA.

Abstract

The construction industry's environmental impact necessitates a sustainable shift to mitigate resource depletion, emissions, and biodiversity loss. Integrating local wisdom offers innovative, adaptive solutions grounded in deep environmental understanding, potentially transforming construction practices toward sustainability. This study aims to identify aspects, challenges, impacts, and strategies in green construction practices integrated with local wisdom. The PRISMA framework methodology was used to conduct a comprehensive systematic review with qualitative analysis using NVivo software. Nine aspects of green construction integrated with local wisdom were identified, with cultural heritage preservation the dominant aspect. Eleven challenges were uncovered, with balancing tradition and innovation as the main challenges. Seven impacts on the economy, society, and environment were identified, with construction cost efficiency, improvement of community quality of life, and promotion of a circular economy and sustainable waste management as the dominant impacts. Thirteen strategies were identified, with active engagement of local communities in the construction process as the main strategy. The novelty of this research is a comprehensive review of the integration of green construction with local wisdom, which can be used as a guide in sustainable construction practices responsive to local environmental and social conditions and promote economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable development. Doi: 10.28991/CEJ-2024-010-11-020 Full Text: PDF

Abstract

One of the models in survival analysis is the Cox proportional hazards model. This method ignores assumptions regarding the distribution of survival times studied. If there are indications of multicollinearity in data handling, one way that can be done is to use PCA (Principal Component Analysis). PCA-Cox regression is a combination of survival analysis and PCA which can be an alternative in analyzing multicollinearity survival data. The large number of cases of bad credit means that customers must be careful in providing credit to prospective customers. Character, capacity, capital and collateral variables are thought to influence the length of time customers pay house ownership loans at the bank. The data used is secondary data (n=100) regarding the assessment of character variables, capacity, capital and collateral, credit collectibility, and time to pay customer house ownership loans at the bank. The results of the analysis using PCA-Cox regression show that the variables character, capacity, capital and collateral have a significant effect on the length of house ownership loan payment time for Bank X customers. The originality of this research is the use of the PCA-Cox regression integration model in bank credit risk analysis.
