Abstract

In today's technological developments, wireless communication provides many possibilities to be able to share information with each other anytime and anywhere and in various fields of life such as health services and the industrial world. One of the wireless communication technologies commonly used in health services is WBAN (Wireless Body Area Network), where WBAN (Wireless Body Area Network) can monitor a person's health condition anywhere and anytime by placing sensors around the body. In order for this monitoring process to be more effective and efficient, an application based on Android and IOS systems is designed that can display monitoring results in real time and can be used for patients or medical personnel. In addition, to minimize the performance of medical personnel in diagnosing patient conditions, an automatic diagnosis system is applied by utilizing fuzzy mamdani logic in making decisions from the measurement results obtained on the sensor.

Abstract

In this study, a multisensor wireless medical device was designed using several sensors, such as body temperature, oxygen levels, blood pressure, and heart rate, that connects to the application and applies WBAN technology. The design of this tool applied the principle of IoT, where a system that can monitor body health is needed, a remote monitoring system on the smartphone. The data obtained by the tool is sent to the server to be later forwarded to the application. In this study, Fuzzy Mamdani's method was used to implement the health status. The IoT principle makes it effortless for users to access or use pre-designed tools. Therefore, in this study, the IoT principle is employed to make it more efficient and easier for users to read the results because the data will be forwarded to applications installed on users' smartphones, both Android and iOS-based.

Abstract

Littering is a human behavior that become a habit since childhood. Even though there are rules that prohibit this behavior, the community still continues to do so. In order to limit this bad behavior, a device that can monitor and provide notifications is needed. In this research, a device is offered that can identify human activities in real time using webcam-based image processing. Then, it is processed by machine learning using the Recurrent Neural Network (RNN). The monitoring device produced in this research works by comparing the captured image data with a dataset. The captured image data will then be extracted features and form several coordinate points on the human body, then the system will classify these human activities into the category of normal activities or littering activities. This device will provide an output in the form of a warning every time the activity of littering is detected.

Abstract

The inverter built in this research is used to convert direct current into alternating current with a size of 3000 watts, which has a DC input voltage of 24 volts. This inverter has a large capacity and can generate enough electricity to run different huge electrical devices or several units at once. It's made utilizing energy-efficient technology to cut down on energy waste during conversion. Furthermore, safeguards such voltage surge and overcurrent prevention guarantee the operational safety of the inverter. The inverter was built using the PWM method and variable loads (resistive load, inductive load and capacitive load), with the aim of evaluating the inverter's ability to handle resistive, inductive and capacitive loads and to see how the inverter responds to load changes dynamically. Based on observations and calculations, higher loads are positively correlated with higher inverter power and efficiency. The inverter has a max output of 664.62 watts and 229 Volt is the output voltage attained. This demonstrates that the EGS002 PSW inverter produces AC voltage of high quality with precise and steady characteristics.

Abstract

Children with autism often have difficulties in social interaction and communication. Socially Assistive Robots (SAR) can be utilized to help them develop social and communication skills. One of the important aspects in interaction with robots is the ability of the robot to detect the motion of autistic children. This research aims to implement the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method on the SAR robot to detect the motion of autistic children. The CNN method was chosen because of its ability to recognize image patterns and detect objects with high accuracy. The image dataset used in this study consists of images taken using a cellphone camera manually with various poses from various points of view. The results show that the CNN method is able to recognize the movements of autistic children with high precision, thus supporting more effective interaction between the robot and the child. Challenges such as large dataset requirements and significant training time were overcome through optimization of the training process. This optimization led to improved model efficiency, reducing computation time while maintaining high accuracy.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to introduce an artificial intelligence (AI)-based intervention device for managing tantrums in children with autism at SLB Autis Talang Kelapa Palembang. Tantrums in children with autism are often caused by their inability to express emotions, which can disrupt the learning process and affect their surrounding environment. Through the socialization of an AI device utilizing MediaPipe technology, teachers and staff were trained to quickly detect early signs of tantrums and provide interventions in the form of music designed to calm autistic children. The results of this activity indicate improved understanding among teachers, staff, and parents in detecting and responding to tantrums more effectively. The implementation of this device has been proven to reduce both the frequency and intensity of tantrums, thereby creating a more conducive learning environment for children with autism.

Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental neurological condition marked by challenges in social communication and repetitive, restrictive behaviors. In Indonesia, there are approximately 2.4 million individuals with ASD, with an additional 500 new cases emerging annually. Anxiety is a prevalent issue among children with ASD, often going unnoticed due to their limited ability to express emotions. To address this, a Socially Assistive Robot (SAR) with a blood pressure sensor can be used to monitor anxiety levels by tracking vital signs, particularly blood pressure, offering an indirect method to detect anxiety. Yayasan Gentaralam SLB Autis in Sumatra Selatan provides crucial support for children with autism, and this project seeks to introduce SAR robots to aid in their care. The robots will serve as non-pharmacological tools to help identify and manage anxiety in children. SAR robots, designed to engage socially, can monitor anxiety by measuring physiological responses, providing a less intrusive yet effective method of assessment. The success of using SAR robots to detect anxiety levels in autistic children depends on various factors, including the child’s autism severity, the setting in which the robot is used, and the child’s emotional condition during the interaction
