Abstract

This article aims to describe the development of Islamic Education Institutions in the Pidie Regency. The method used in this article is a literature study, and data sourced from books, journals, and other literature relevant to this study. The results of the study show that the development of Pidie Islamic educational institutions goes hand in hand with changes in educational institutions in Indonesia in general because Pidie is an integral part of the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia. Islamic educational institutions in Pidie are gradually turning into modern educational institutions, but still, maintain their identity as an Islamic educational institution inherited from Aceh's history. Thus, even though madrasas exist and dominate as Islamic educational institutions, every child born in Aceh still receives an education in Meunasah and Dayah throughout all Gampong in Aceh. Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang perkembangan Lembaga Pendidikan Islam di Kabupaten Pidie. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini merupakan studi literatur yang bersumber dari buku-buku, jurnal-jurnal dan kepustakaan lainnya yang relevan dengan kajian ini. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan lembaga pendidikan Islam Pidie berjalan beriringan dengan perubahan-perubahan pada lembaga pendidikan di Indonesia secara umum karena Pidie merupakan bagian integral dari negara kesatuan republik Indonesia. Lembaga pendidikan Islam di Pidie secara bertahap berubah menjadi lembaga pendidikan modern, tetapi tetap mempertahankan identitasnya sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam warisan sejarah Aceh. Sehingga, meskipun madrasah telah eksis dan mendominasi sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam, namun setiap anak yang lahir di Aceh masih tetap mengenyam pendidikan di meunasah dan dayah-dayah tradisional yang tersebar di seluruh Gampong yang ada di Aceh.

Abstract

The role of psychology in Islamic education is based on the assumption that there are differences in psychology and the socio-cultural background of students. Psychology is here to bridge the different needs of each student so that educational goals are achieved, namely the transfer of knowledge, ethics, and values to them. The application of psychology in Islamic education is inseparable from the three aspects that make up the human self: the physical, the nafsiah, and the spiritual. These three become essential in applying the psychological approach to Islamic education. On these three fundamental aspects, psychology has three critical roles, namely: (1) The role of psychology in Islamic education as a bio-sociopsychic-spiritual; (2) The role of psychology in Islamic education as a form of one's Islamic character; (3) The role of psychology in Islamic education as a form of spirituality. Abstrak Peran psikologi dalam pendidikan Islam didasari atas asumsi adanya perbedaan psikologi dan latar belakang sosial budaya peserta didik. Sehingga psikologi hadir untuk menjembatani kebutuhan setiap peserta didik yang berbeda agar tujuan pendidikan tercapai, yaitu transfer pengetahuan, etika dan nilai kepada mereka. Penerapan psikologi dalam pendidikan Islam tidak terlepas dari tiga aspek yang membentuk diri manusia, yaitu aspek jasmaniah, aspek nafsiah dan aspek rohaniah. Ketiganya menjadi acuan dasar dalam menerapkan pendekatan psikologi dalam pendidikan Islam. Atas ketiga aspek dasar tersebut, psikologi memiliki tiga peran penting, yaitu: (1) Peran psikologi dalam pendidikan Islam sebagai bio-sosiopsikis-spiritual; (2) Peran psikologi dalam pendidikan Islam sebagai pembentuk karakter Islam seseorang; (3) Peran Psikologi dalam pendidikan Islam sebagai pembentuk spiritualitas.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service aims to introduce organic agriculture in Banda Aceh's coastal area by converting organic wastes into biofertilizer to remediate tsunami-affected lands with high salinity and low nutrients. Method: The team designed and implemented a mobile bio-composter system capable of processing 150 kg of organic waste. Field observations and soil analyses were conducted to assess land conditions, followed by technology transfer to Gampong Pie community members. Practical Applications: The mobile bio-composter processes household, municipal, and agricultural waste while enabling community members to produce their own microbial inoculants. This technology supports economic empowerment through fertilizer production and sales, addressing critical land issues while creating new business opportunities. Conclusion: The initiative successfully produced a mobile bio-composter installation that converts organic waste into biofertilizer for remediating coastal critical lands, promoting sustainable organic agriculture development in tsunami-affected areas.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and discribe the self-confidence and speaking skills of eighth-grade students at MTs DDI Siapo. Speaking is a fundamental skill in English learning that is influenced not only by linguistic factors but also by psychological factors such as self-confidence. This study used a qualitative descriptive method through semi-structured interviews with nine students. The results showed that most students had low self-confidence, characterized by nervousness, shyness, fear of making mistakes, and negative assessments of their speaking abilities. These psychological barriers significantly impacted students' willingness to speak English. This study identified five main indicators affecting student self-confidence: perception of self-ability, previous success experiences, social support, response to mistakes or social judgment, and personal motivation and determination. Students with high self-confidence tended to be more active and confident in speaking, while students with low self-confidence were more passive and reluctant to participate.
