Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to determine the level of practicality of static fluid experiment kits and worksheets for experimental guides to the concept of static fluids, so as to produce a learning media that is feasible and practical to be used as a media for teaching Physics Science in Junior High School. The object of this study is an experimental device consisting of a static fluid experiment kit and an experiment guide book. The research method used is research and development. Data collection techniques used a practicality assessment sheet given to respondents consisting of 20 students and 3 science teachers at Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru junior high school.Data were analyzed descriptively to determine the value of the practicality of the experimental device. Descriptive analysis shows that the practicality of the static fluid experiment kit is in the very high category with an average score of 3.32 and 3.36. As well, the assessment of the practicality of the Student Worksheets was very high by teachers and students with an average score of 3.42 and 3.58. Therefore the experimental device along with the student worksheet experiment guide for the concept of static fluid is declared practical to be used as a media for learning physics at junior high school.KeyWords:Experimental Tool, Static Fluid, Student Worksheets, Practicality, Learning Media

Abstract

Abstract: A physics student worksheets based on CTL is an worksheet that is compiled and designed with emphasis on the interrelationship between subject matter and the real world of student’s life. The purpose of this study was to develop a valid physical LKPD based on CTL on dynamic fluid material for class XI in high school. In this study, the validation stage was carried out by 3 lecturers of Physics Education who were experienced and also conducted trials limited to 22 students of class XI at SMAN 1 Gunung Toar. The research instrument was in the form of a questionnaire shaped a checklist. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis by calculating the index of each indicator used to determine the validity of the develop LKPD. The results of this study provide information that the developed of physical LKPD based on CTL in dynamic fluid material is valid and practical in the high and very high categories and can be used in learning to support the teaching and learning process so that it becomes better.Key Words: LKPD, Contextual Teaching and Learning, Dynamic Fluid, Descriptive Analysis.

Abstract

Abstract: Student motivation is still low, time is limited in learning physics, and there are some abstract learning materials that are difficult to understand, resulting in misconceptions. So a research was carried out on the development of powtoon-based learning videos with the flipped classroom approach on temperature and heat material for class XI SMA which aims to develop and determine the validity of powtoon-based learning videos along with learning tools in the form of RRP and LKPD so that they can be an alternative in solving some of these problems. This study uses the Research and Development method with the ADDIE development model which in practice is carried out only up to the development stage. From the average results of the video validation, RPP, and LKPD, it is found that the categories are very valid, valid, and valid, so that they are declared worthy of being used in learning.Key Words: Learning Videos, Powtoon, Flipped Classroom, Temperature and Heat

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the level of misconception and misconception concepts experienced by students of class XI SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru on thermodynamic materials with three-level diagnostic test. The type of this research was survey research. Data analysis of the results of this study was descriptive analysis, which provides an overview of the level of learners misconceptions. The number of samples of this study were 143 students of class XI SMA Negeri 9 who have studied thermodynamic material. The obtained data in this study was quantitative data in percentage of learners' understanding concepts on thermodynamic material which was obtained from written test results. The data then categorized byknow concept category, guessing, misconception and do not know the concept. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the average percentage of misconception of each concept, business concept and thermodynamic process is 43,15% with medium category, law I thermodynamics 67,83% with medium category, thermodynamic cycle 53,85% and the law of thermodynamics II with medium category. Abstract

Abstract: PjBL IPA learners worksheets are worksheets that are prepared and designed with emphasis on the independence of learners in constructing their learning through project assignments. The main objective of this research is to develop a valid and practical PJBL-based science student worksheet on simple aircraft material for class VIII junior high school and to know the absorption of students science process skills. In this study the validation stage was carried out 2 times. The first validation was conducted by 5 validators, namely by 3 lecturers of FKIP UNRI and 2 experienced science teachers. The second validation was conducted by 2 validators, namely 2 science teachers in SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. Next, the student worksheets were given to 40 students of class VIII at SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. This research instrument was in the form of a validation questionnaire, response questionnaire, and test results for learning science process skills. Data analysis in this study uses quantitative descriptive analysis by calculating the index of each indicator used to determine the validity and practicality of the worksheets students develop. The results of this study provide information about PjBL based science students worksheets developed on this simple plane material with very high categories, namely 92% content aspect, 88.75% construction aspect, 87% linguistic aspect, 90% graphic aspect. This PBPL LKPD has also been practical, for the questionnaire responses of teachers according to the very good category namely the content aspect of 93.33%, the construction aspect 83.33%, the 96.67% aspect, the graphic aspect 93.33%. Questionnaire responses of students in the category of very good, namely the aspect of content 88.86%, 82.83% construction aspects, linguistic aspects 89.75%, 89.25% graphic aspects. The absorption of students' process skills according to the category is quite good at 67.5%. Based on the results of the study, the worksheet developed by PjBL students can be used in learning to support the teaching and learning process so that it becomes better.Keywords: Student worksheet, Project Based Learning, Learning Outcomes Of Science Process Skills, Simple Aircraft.

Abstract

Abstrack: This research aims to determine the increasing in student’s generic skill through the implementation of Learning Cycle 5E model in physics science learning process at grade VIII MtsN Sungai Tonang. The population of this research is class VIII consisting of 2 classes. Samples taken are 2 classes, determination technique experimental class and control class are by simple random sampling. This research was conducted in MTsN Sungai Tonang from July to December 2015. The design of this research was a True Experimental with Posttest-Only Control Design. Instrument of collecting data in this research is achievement test generic skill which given after learning. Data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential. Descriptive analysis of student’s generic skill after learning with implementation of Learning Cycle 5E model is 76,02% including the category of well. The results of inferential analysis obtained by value thitung > ttabel ( 4,015 > 2,028 ) , so we can conclude there is a significant difference to the generic skill applying Learning Cycle 5E model with a class that implements conventional teaching with a 95% confidence level . From both of the analysis, it can be concluded that implementation of Learning Cycle 5E model effective to improve student’s generic skill physics science learning process at grade VIII MTsN Sungai Tonang.Key Words: Generic Skill, Learning Cycle 5E, Force and Acceleration2

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study is to the result of student’s process skill of class XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru on the material of kinetic theory of gas with the application of instructional media. This form of research is Pre Experimental Design with One Shot Case Study design. The subject of this research is class XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. Instrument of the data collection was test of the learning result of students process skill given to subject of the research after giving treatment in the form of learning process based on inquiry approach. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results showed average absorption. It can be concluded that the implementation of instructional media of gas kinetic theory in the form of experimental device based on inquiry approach can improve the learning result of students' process skill on the material of gas kinetic theory in SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru.Keywords : The Result of Student’s Process Skill, Learning Media, Inquiry Approach

Abstract

Abstract: Science process skills are the skills needed to acquire, develop, and apply concepts, laws, and theories of science, both in the form of mental skills, physical skills (manual) and social skills. This study aims to describe the learning outcomes of students' science process skills by applying discovery learning learning models. The research subjects were students of class XI MIPA 2 SMAN 15 Pekanbaru. This type of research is a Pre-Experimental design with a one shot case study design. This research instrument as many as 19 multiple choice questions. Data is collected by providing a test of science process skills to the subject. Data were analyzed descriptively to provide a picture of the learning outcomes of students' science process skills including student absorption and learning effectiveness on the material elasticity and hooke law. The results obtained were the average absorption of students namely 78.22% in the good category. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of discovery learning model is effective for training science process skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 15 Pekanbaru on material elasticity and hooke law.Key Words: Discovery Learning Model, The Results Of Learning Process Skills,Elasticity And Hooke Law

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to determine the increase student’s ability of the reasoning formal with Lerning Cycle 5E model and conventional through the science physics learning class VIII MTsN Sungai Tonang. Population of this research is class VIII consisting of 2 class. Sample taken is 2 class. Techniques determining the experiment’s class and control’s class with Simple Random Sampling. This research was conducted in MTsN Sungai Tonang precisely in July until December 2015. The design of this research was a Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data collection Instruments in this research was the test learning outcomes the ability of reasoning formal given before and after learning. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential. The result analiysis descriptif showed absorpsion that after learning implementation of the learning cycle 5E model is 74.4% category of good. The result inferential obtained significant value 0.00 (0.00 < 0.05) then Ha accepted, so it can be concluded that significant different against the student’s reasoning formal the science physics learning class VIII MTsN Sungai Tonang the application of Learning Cycle 5E model with class the application conventional learning. Abstract

Abstract:The learning device developed is a physics learning device using the Argument ICARE (Introduction, Connect, Apply, Reflect, Extend) model to improve cognitive learning outcomes of class X SMA student on momentum and impulse, consisting of a learning outcomes test instrument. The purpose of this study was to produce a physics learning device using a valid Argument ICARE (Introduction, Connect, Apply, Reflect, Extend) model and was used to improve cognitive learning outcomes of class X SMA students on momentum adn impulse. This reseach is expected to be a reference for making innovative learning tools and can be used as a foundation in the teaching and learning objectives can be achieved. This type of research is a Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D model. This research is only limited to the development stage. The research instrument used was the RPP validation assessment sheet, LKPD, and the cognitive learning outcome test instrument used by the validator to assess learning tools. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis, by calculating the validity score of each indicator of the learning device. The results showed that the physics learning device using the ICARE (Introduction, Connect, Apply, Reflect, Extend) model was declared valid with the overall score of the device being 3.15 with a high category, so it was declarated feasible to be used for teaching in class X SMA in an effort to improve student cognitive learning outcomes on momentum and impulse.Key Words: Physics Learning Tools, ICARE Model, Cognitive Learning Outcomes, Momentum and Impulse.
