Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe of cognitive learning competense and to know the increasing in students' cognitive learning through the application of the Predict-Observe Explain learning model and conventional learning in momentum and impuls material. The research method used is quasy experiment with the design of Control Group Design Pretest-Posttest. The population is all students of class X MIA SMAN 1 Kampar Timur. Samples of two classes were selected by random sampling, obtained by class X MIA 4 consist to 37 people as the experimental class and class X MIA 3 consist to 37 people as the control class. Data have colecte use cognitive test instrument. Data were analyzed descriptively by looking at the results of differences in the increase in cognitive learning outcomes of the experimental and control class students then analyzed inferentially by using the T-test. The results showed that there were differences in the increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes in momentum and impulse material in class X MIA SMAN 1 Kampar Timur. The average cognitive learning outcomes of the experimental class students were higher than the control class. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the Predict-Observe-Explain learning model can improve cognitive learning outcomes in the material momentum and impulses of class X MIA SMAN 1 Kampar Timur.Key Words: Cognitive Learning Outcomes, Predict-Observe-Explain, Momentum andImpulses

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to determine students’ physics learning result by applying inquiry approach. This research was conducted at MAN 2 Pekanbaru from February to May 2018. Two groups of samples were choose from homogeneous classes. Quasi experiments in the form of intact group comparison was used in this study. The data was obatained from students’ physics learning result test which consisted of 20 items of multiple choice. Descriptive and inferential analysis were used for data analysis. Based on descriptive analysis, the average of students’ absorption ability in the experimental class was 84,21% and 78,05% for control class, this indicated that the effectiveness of student learning in experiment class was higher than in the control class. Based on inferential analysis through independent sample t test sig value. (2-tailed) = 0.032 < 0.05 was obatained. This mean that there was a significant difference in students’ physics learning result. It can be concluded that the application of inquiry approach could enchace students’ physics study result on thermodynamic material at XI MIA class MAN 2 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Students Physics Study Result, Inquiry Approach, Thermodynamic

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the increase in learning motivation of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru by applying learning based on Pictorial Riddle to light material and optical devices. The type of research used is pre-experiment with the research design is one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were class VIIIHN students of SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2018/2019 which amounted to 36 students. The research data is learning motivation data cosisting of pretest and posttest scores through the application of learning based on Pictorial Riddle. The instrument used to collect data in this study was the John Keller ARCS motivation questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively through the calculation of N-Gain using Hake’s motivation criteria and formulas. The results of the analysis of the data obtained are, the are changes in the average score of the initial motivation score. Obtained an increase in the average score of student learning motivation for all indicators with N-Gain of 0,54 moderate categories. So that it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning motivation before and after applying learning based on Pictorial Riddle to light material and optical devices.Key Words: Pictorial Riddle, Learning Motivation, Light and Optical Devices.

Abstract

Abstract: The learning device developed are learning device based on the Simas Eric model to enhance student cognitive study result on harmonic vibrations material class X SMA/MA, consisting of a RPP, LKPD, and Cognitive Study Result Test. The purpose of this research was to produce a learning device valid based on Simas Eric model on harmonic vibrations material. This type of research is a Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model design. The research instrument used was the RPP validation assessment sheets, LKPD and Cognitive Study Result Test which were used by the validator to assess learning device. The data was collected by providing learning device to the validator to be validated using RPP validation sheets, LKPD and Cognitive Study Result Test. Data analysis in this research using descriptive analysis, by calculating the validity score of each indicator of the learning device. Based on the result of the validity data analysis, the average value of the validity of the lesson plan for the first meeting was 3,49 with a high category, lesson plan for the second meeting was 3,38 with a high category, and lesson plan for the third meeting was 3,39 with a high category. The average validity of LKPD 1 was 3,51 with a very high category, LKPD 2 was 3,54 with a very high category, and LKPD 3 was 3,47 with a high category. The average validity of Cognitive Study Result Test was 3,34 with a high category, so that the overall average learning device was 3,47 with a high category. Thus the learning device based on Simas Eric model is declared valid and suitable for use on harmonic vibrations material class X SMA/MA.Key Words: Physics Learning Device, Simas Eric Model, CognitiveSstudy Result,Harmonic Vibrations

Abstract

Abstract: The ability of scientific reasoning is an ability needed in physics lessons that is in connecting new concepts. The main purpose of this research is to find out the pattern and level of scientific reasoning ability of students class X of SMA Negeri Tampan District of Pekanbaru in the subject work and energy. In this study the population is 324 class X students from SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru dan SMA Negeri 15 Pekanbaru. The sample was taken by cluster random sampling so that a sample of 68 students was obtained. The instrument of this research is a test of scientific reasoning ability developed refer to the the Lawson's Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning (LCTSR) by Lawson. The scientific reasoning problem used consist of 12 reasoned multiple choice questions which represent 6 indicators of scientific reasoning ability, which included conservation reasoning, proportional reasoning, control of variables, probabilistic reasoning, correlation reasoning, and deductive-hyphotesis reasoning. Data is collected by giving a tes of scientific reasoning ability to the sample. Data analysis ini this study used descriptive analysis with scoring techniques in pairs, which provided an overview of the patterns and levels of students scientific reasoning abilities. The results of this study provide an information that the tenth grade students of Tampan District of Pekanbaru in the subject work and energy have a pettern of reasoning in the concrete operational category with a percentage of 100% and have level of scientific reasoning in the category of very less with average percentage of 11,15%.Key Words: Scientific reasoning, Work and Energy, Descriptive Analysis.

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study is to find the result of student’s cognitive through the implementation of gas kinetic learning media based on inquiry approach of XI MIA 3 SMAN 4 Pekanbaru.This research form is pre experimental with oneshot case study methode. The data of this study is student’s cognitive score by post test. The analysis conducted on the student’s cognitive learning outcomes in the form of study absorpstion, learning efectivity and the percentage of student’s pass of each tested indicator. The result obtained from this study are, from 36 students, 3 student have a very good study absorption, 23 have a good study absorption, 8 have a well study absorption, 1 have a less good study absorption and 1 fail. The learning efectivity is on good category with percentage of 69,4%. The conclusion is physics learning with inquiry approach goes well.Keywords : Inquiry approach, cognitive study result

Abstract

AbstrakDinas Kesehatan merupakan salah satu unsur pendukung rumah sakit dalam memberikan pelayanan publik yang diperlukan oleh masyarakat, mulai dari pelayanan rumah sakit ataupun pelayanan-pelayanan lain dalam rangka memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat dalam bidang kesehatan. Seiring dengan semakin vitalnya fungsi Rumah Sakit, maka setiap masyarakat diharapkan tahu lokasi-lokasi rumah sakit yang paling dekat dengan tempat tinggalnya untuk mengantisipasi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Menerapkan sistem informasi geografis (SIG) sebagai sistem yang dapat memberikan info mengenai lokasi rumah sakit, Fasilitas Rumah Sakit di Banda Aceh dan Aceh Besar dan juga mempermudah Dinas Kesehatan dalam memberikan penilaian dan kualitas tentang rumah sakit. Sehingga mampu memberikan informasi kepada pengguna yang  ingin mencari lokasi-lokasi rumah sakit yang ada di Kota Banda Aceh dan Aceh Besar, Output ini nanti nya adalah sebuah file Aplikasi Berbasis Webgis yang berisi informasi mengenai lokasi rumah sakit Kota Banda Aceh dan Aceh Besar. Abstract

This study aims to discuss the moral values ​​contained in the film "The Dreamer" by using semiotic analysis. Semiotic analysis was chosen because it is a field of study that is very relevant to analyzing the structure of a film. This research is library research with a qualitative approach. Sources of data in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from film footage and dialogues containing elements of moral values ​​in the film "The Dreamer". While secondary data was obtained from books, journals, and articles that support the research material. Data collection uses observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis used the semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes. The results showed that in the film "The Dreamer" there are moral values ​​that can be known, including the relationship between humans and God (be kind to God), the relationship between humans and oneself which includes studying, working hard, and being responsible and human relationships with others. other human beings, namely the value of tolerance, helping others, and caring.

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to describe students' conceptual understanding and determine the improvement of students' conceptual understanding by applying a role playing type of cooperative learning model. The type of research used is Quasi Experimental, with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects of this study were students of class VII MTs N 1 Padangsidimpuan, which consisted of 60 students and was divided into two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The data in this study were in the form of students' concept understanding scores after learning science by applying a role playing type cooperative learning model which was analyzed descriptively. Furthermore, the increase in understanding of the concept was analyzed using the SPSS Version 25 application for inferential analysis. Based on descriptive analysis and inferential analysis of data, it was found that the increase in students' conceptual understanding in the experimental class was in the good category with concept understanding in the good category with a posttest score of 73.05, while the control class was in the sufficient category, which was 58.17. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the role playing type of cooperative learning model can improve students' conceptual understanding at MTs N 1 Padangsidimpuan.Key words : Learning Model, Role Playing, Concept Understanding

Abstract

Abstract: The ability to think critically is one of the competencies that must be possessed by students. The low ability to think critically becomes a problem that must be solved. Gender differences are one of the factors that influence in the formation of critical-thinking characters. To develop students' critical thinking skills, it is necessary to innovate learning by applying one of the learning models, namely the ADI learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the ADI learning model on the critical thinking skills of male and female students and to determine the level of differences in critical thinking skills between male and female students in classes using the ADI learning model. The type of research conducted is comparative descriptive using the One Shoot Case Study Design. The samples taken were class VIII A male students, totaling 22 students, and class VIII B female students, totaling 27, where the two classes consisted of two experimental classes. The data collection instrument was a test of the results of critical thinking skills for class VIII light material which consisted of 6 description questions. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis through the level of critical thinking skills and inferential analysis through normality test, homogeneity test, and Independent T-Test test with the help of SPSS version 23. The results showed that the student’s critical thinking skills using the ADI learning model were categorized as sufficient. The average height obtained by male students is 72.45 while female students are 69.29, while the results of inferential analysis obtained using SPSS are that there is a difference in the level of critical thinking abilities of male and female students using the ADI learning model (sig. ) 0.039 < 0.05 where the results can be concluded that the critical thinking ability of men is taller than women.Keywords: Argument Driven Inquiry, Critical Thinking Skills, Male and Female
